Ted King Returns to The Bold and the Beautiful, and an Unexpected Death Kicks-off a Summer Mystery Storyline
This week on The Bold and the Beautiful, Daytime Emmy-winner, Ted King makes a return in the role of Jack Finnegan. King has not appeared on-screen on the CBS soap opera since back in July of 2023.
In story, Jack is the father of Finn (Tanner Novlan) and years later it was revealed he had a fling with Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) who is the biological mother to the young doctor. However, Finn was raised by Jack and his adoptive mother, Li (Naomi Matsuda).
King, who became soap famous for his roles on General Hospital as both Luis and Lorenzo Alcazar, also has appeared as Danny on The City/Loving and as Tomas Delgado on One Life to Live, won a Daytime Emmy in the Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series category at the 49th annual Daytime Emmy Awards for his role as B&B’s Jack.

Earlier this month, Ted took to his Instagram account where he shared a photo, which can now only be viewed as a tease on his imminent return to B&B. King shared a pick of himself in the hallways of the soundstage where the iconic ‘Carol Burnett Show’ was taped at Television City in Los Angeles. Ted wrote these words accompanying the post: “Love being back in this building where icons have roamed the hallways for years!”
Official B&B teasers for the week also share that: Aaron D. Spears returns on the July 1st episode reprising his role of Justin Barber, while Clint Howard also continues to appear as Tom. In addition, Hollis Chambers returns as Hollis on July 2nd, and look for more of Diamond White as Paris Buckingham on July 3, 4 and 5th.

The Tuesday July 2nd episode also brings with it the kick-off of a summer mystery storyline, when someone dies unexpectedly. Now the question becomes who will die? Earlier in June, Kimberlin Brown visited the Michael Fairman Channel, where she teased what’s ahead on the show, and shared, “There’s some big stuff happening on the show coming up that. I wish I could say more. I got the script and when we were filming it, I was going, ‘Oh my gosh, this is just too good.’ There are a lot of characters involved in it. There’s something coming up, but it’s not what they (viewers) think.” Could this be the plot point Brown was referring to?

Previously, B&B also teased that Tanner Novlan and Naomi Matsuda would also be involved in the summer mystery as well as Jim Belushi’s daughter, Jameson Belushi, who will appear on the July 15th episode.
So, is B&B bringing Ted King only to have Jack get killed-off? Will Poppy try to get rid of Tom, who says he is Luna’s father, ruining her plans for passing off Luna as Bill Spencer’s daughter? Could Justin come back and threaten Thomas over the death of his niece Emma Barber, which winds up costing Justin his life somehow? Does someone else have damaging intel that would spell massive trouble for another character that they need to be silenced? Share your theories via the comment section below.

Yea Bringing some Big Daddy male energy to B and B
He could show Brooke the good time that she needs
I agree with you Pippa. Brooke and Ridge are boring and stale. Nothing like the days of the Ronn Moss and the KKL chemistry with Brooke and Ridge frolicking in the Forrester Creations steam room. That would be interesting. The Logan women with the Finnigan men. Steffie would really have a breakdown if that ever happened. I was just thinking of something that would really get to Steffie while she is still on her forever hatred of the Logan’s. But on a side note, I am completely team Thomas and Hope all the way. Like I said before, I don’t know how Paris’ can trust Thomas after what he did to her sister. I guess desperate times call for desperate measures. I wonder how Shelia is going to react to seeing her “,baby daddy” again. Time will tell.
Per your last sentence. Have read rumors that Jack and Sheila may not be Finn’s bio parents, Li knows more than she admits to, no paternity tests were ever done they say, I don’t remember.
Yes please hook nick and steffy up
Any bets Clint Howard’s Tom’s days are numbered and Sheila will be accused falsely. It will be Lunas mom.
I just knew his days were numbered after his meetings with POPPY, but I thought it would be with that knife that Shiela was waving around and she would be accused, as you say.
The CBS soaps don’t air down here in Hell, but I’m hoping Ted King’s character gets killed off so he can get back to General Hospital, because that infernal “Pikeman” story makes Zero sense without his involvement.
Will the Abbotts ever remodle their L.R.? It’s been the same from day one
I know. I have been watching since the mid eighties, and it has been the same ever since. I am surprised Diane didn’t charge in and start remodeling after the wedding. She is all of a sudden taking over everything else. Why not the house.
Always looked like a museum to me with all the knickknacks , elaborate flower arrangements, etc. I would have thought that Diane would have jumped at a chance to re-decorate. Sharon was the last one to do that, when she married Jack years ago.
How did the Paternity Test come up with Bill as Luna’s father since he isn’t? Glad to see Ted back.
I was thinking the same thing. Everybody read it. Bill grabbed it out of Li’s hand and read it himself. How can their saliva swabs lie? Poppy is settling into Bill’s house quite nicely. All of a sudden she is turning herself into the queen of the manor. Katie is no fool. She is going to see right through Poppy. All of a sudden Katie is jealous. She wasn’t in the mood when Bill wanted her back while she was throwing herself at Carter. Telling her sisters how hot she thought he was. Are they even a couple anymore? I thought they were still together at Eric and Donna’s wedding.
We know Li had something to do with it, we just don’t know how she did it and why.
Violet…oh I agree. To me, Li is like a TICKING TIME BOMB!!!!! Jack should thank his lucky stars (or whatever) that he’s now free of that LOONY AND INSUFFERABLE LI!!!!! That Li…what a nut…lol
Jack looked pretty Persona non grata at Deacon’s place to me., and Justin’s appearance was a surprise, I thought Bill fired him and that’s why he’s been gone so long. He looked like he was survieling the whole scene, but why and for whom? The whole thing was a mystery, least of all poor old Tom, biting the dust.
I have always thought that Jack is Luna’s father, especially since Poppy lived in the same house with Li and Jack back in the day. Jack has most likely had numerous affairs, including Sheila. Once a cheater, always a cheater. But I agree with the challenges of explaining the DNA testing. Did Li swap the swabs before placing them into the agent solution? We all went through at-home tests with the pandemic so we know how these tests work. Anyways, I’m just glad for there to be a different story of mystery rather than the focus on Forrester Creations love triangles. Also, Bill is finally getting a storyline with the upcoming newly cast Will (Josh Morrow’s son/clone) so hoping the summer is scandalous.
In a way, I’m hoping that Li is revealed as the culprit…because I am so sick of Li’s ANNOYING AND ARROGANT ATTITUDE!!!!! To me, Li is WAY WORSE than Steffy!!!!! Yuck.
I also think Li and Poppy are in cahoots, not only about Luna’s real dad but that Li is the one who killed poor Tom, but she probably did it for her sister whom I think has been blackmailing her sister all these years. Think about it, where does Poppy get all her money, has no job that we’ve heard of, has money to buy fancy clothes, drugs, etc.

Next week on all-new episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, the CBS soap opera’s latest preview video indicates that after Electra (Laneya Grace) and Will’s (Crew Morrow) dust up, it looks like Dylan (Sydney Bullock) takes the opportunity to make her move.
In the spoilers video, Dylan is at the beach house with Will and tells him, that this time and for the record that if she were to be with him, she would not be living above the garage. Clearly, she has designs to move into Will’s home and to be with him in his bed. Is this moment that Will and Dylan change their relationship, officially?
