THE BACHELOR: Zach Chooses His Final Four, and Sends Away Another After She Recovered From COVID-19

A key week in ‘Bachelor’ Zach Shallcross’ journey to find love has come and gone, all leading to next week’s ‘hometowns’ where Zach will meet the families of the four women still in the running for the final rose.

However, while one can appreciate Shallcross’ determination to find love, he often still comes across cold and somewhat insensitive to when the contestants share some of their inner most struggles or stories of their past.  Even when one of them, the early favorite, Greer (she received the ‘first impression’ rose), returns after having to step away from the competition following contracting Covid-19, he devastates her.  If you recall, Zach also had contracted Covid-19 before Greer and had to spend time away from the ladies and had to have a rose ceremony through a Zoom to boot.

As time has gone on, Zach has become to some, one of the least liked ‘Bachelor’ stars in recent memory.  Even former ‘Bachelor’ star, Nick Viall has been calling out Shallcross for his behavior, including a tweet from a few weeks ago that expressed: “That’s 2 weeks in row now Zach was a total dick to one of the woman. It’s literally all about the one on one. Zach knows that. He made Jess feel like she messed up for expressing a valid concern.”  However in a slight defense of him after this week’s episode, Viall tweeted,  “Zach is now fully in ‘I’m the Bachelor, and it’s your job to prove to me you’re worthy’, Mode.”

On Monday’s episode, Greer rejoins up with the cast and crew in Budapest after being away from the show for a few weeks after contracting COVID.  When Greer made her pitch to Zach in his hotel room, he shut the emotional Greer down. Some say it was payback for the comment she made the last time they spoke when she compared his testing positive for COVID, to the positive COVID test that prevented her from hitting her sales goal in her job.

Zach clearly tells Greer, “The last thing I want to do is string you along.” But didn’t Zach do just that? Greer came down with COVID two countries before Budapest and then was in isolation for a week.  Couldn’t he have stopped this earlier, instead of the woman tracking him down in another country, only to be shown the front door? In the end, Greer exited the show amidst a sea of tears and mascara dripping down her face.

Later, after a one-on-one date with Brooklyn, things take a turn when Brooklyn admits the importance of bringing a man home to meet her family, especially talking about her grandfather, who she calls her ‘hero’.  Brooklyn detailed how her real father left when she was very young.  Zach excuses himself from his dinner date, and has to ponder what to do after hearing this.  Eventually, he dumps her, because he does not want to hurt her and go in front of her family, when he is not 100% in it with her. Fair enough.

After the remaining women were all having emotional difficulties (who wouldn’t) with knowing where they stood with their suitor, and if they would be the one to be sent home, we eventually head into the rose ceremony.  Kaity and Gabi already have their roses earned earlier in the episode. That leaves two more roses to give out to either Ariel, Kat or Charity.

Photo: ABC

Shocking many, it was Kat who was sent home. When Kat questioned Zach as to why, he can’t seem to explain his decision.  However, throughout the episode it was clear Kat was doubting herself and their relationship as her concerns kept mounting and her tears kept flowing.  Her exit clearly seemed to upset Zach, who needed a hug from host Jesse Palmer, as Kat was whisked away forever in a limo.

So, of the four remaining women vying for the final rose, who do you think is going to wind up with Zach?  Will it be Kaity, Gabi, Ariel or Charity, or no one? What have you thought of how Zach has handled situations where he eliminates the contestants? Share your thoughts below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Dante and ‘Nathan’ Have It Out, Valentin and Carly Share Passionate Moments Which May Be Their Last

Published

By

On the June 16 episode of General Hospital, the PCPD under acting police commissioner Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is in a bit of mess and does not go unnoticed by ADA Turner (Nazneen Contractor).

First, there is the whole Chase (Josh Swickard) defending Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) over Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), who he arrested for allegedly tossing Willow in the waters next to the Quartermaine boathouse. Turner has had it with Chase’s good guy act and how he tampered with evidence in her case against Willow for shooting Drew.

Later, Dante and Justine question “Nathan” (Ryan Paevey) about Sidwell’s escape while in his custody. Turner is not buying his cover story that he was ambushed by Sidwell and his men. Once “Nathan” left the interrogation room, Turner went in on Dante about having “Nathan” on the force after seven years away, and Chase she views as a “dirty cop.”

However, Dante defends both of his officers, but Justine warned that “Nathan” and Chase’s behavior would reflect poorly on Dante as commissioner and she should really think about that. Later, Dante has a terse confrontation with “Nathan” on how he botched a prison transport and that he better watch his back as Justine is one step away from turning this over to Internal Affairs.

COP MADNESS

Next, “Nathan” apologizes for the way he handled the situation with Rocco and says he feels badly. But then in the twist, Dante said that he was grateful that “Nathan” had been there for his son in his time of need (referencing after Rocco shot Cullum and covered it up).

Then, there’s the newest police officer in the precinct, Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett). He may actually be on to “Nathan’s” double life when he questions him about a syringe found in Britt’s room at Bobbie’s. “Nathan” made up a story to counter Joe’s, that he was not aware that his sister was taking anything for her Huntington’s disease diagnosis. Joe called the forensic department lab wanting to know what drug was exactly in the syringe.

BEFORE YOU GO

At Carly’s (Laura Wright), Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) tells her that he must travel to Geneva to speak to the head of the WSB, named Z. Valentin feels it’s the only way to save Josslyn if he informs Z about Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) being a double agent. Valentin shares with Carly that he has to stop Cullum from bringing his dangerous cold fusion device online. Carly is beside herself. She doesn’t want Valentin to sacrifice himself by turning himself into the organization who has made him a fugitive in the first place. Valentin stands firm that he must meet Z in person.

Knowing that revealing himself to the WSB meant he was likely going back to prison, Valentin asked Carly if she’d get in touch with his daughter, Charlotte so he could say good-bye to her. Next, Carly and Valentin make their way to the bedroom to make love, which may be for the very last time, if Valentin is caught and put back in Steinmauer Maximum Security Prison.

CAUGHT BY CULLUM

At the same time while at Wydemere, Cullum is talking with one of his WSB operatives. Now, he is pondering if Valentin and Sidwell were working together all along.  Next, Cullum entertains the idea of involving the FBI to locate Britt and Rocco. He says he plans to kill them both once he knows of their whereabouts. Cullum sees the only other threat to the completion of the cold fusion project to be Anna Devane.

Cullum wants to track the location of the unidentified person who called the private clinic in France trying to get in touch with Anna, while pretending to be Kevin Collins. When the agent came back with a report, he says it emanated from a cell tower near Shoreline Road. It’s in the that moment that a light bulb goes on for Cullum! Valentin is in Port Charles and hiding at Carly’s!

So, what do you think of the PCPD cops, Chase, Joe and “Nathan?” Who should Dante fire? Do you think Valentin will go the run?Are you digging Carly and Valentin’s relationship and want it to continue, especially with Finola Hughes on her way back as Anna next month on-screen? Weigh-in via the comment section, and in case you missed it, you can check out our latest interview with Dominic Zamprogna below from his appearance on the Michael Fairman Channel, where he talks the PCPD cops, Rocco on the run, and more.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sidwell is Set Up By Lucas and Company, Cassius is in the Right Place at the Right Time

Published

By

On the Wednesday, June 10 episode of General Hospital, after Sidwell (Carlo Rota) shoots Lucas (Van Hansis) three times, he is surrounded by PCPD commissioner Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), Joe (Jonathan Bennett) and other uniformed cops. Laura (Genie Francis) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) show up and the mayor runs to Lucas as Joe checks his vitals.

Lucas comes to and reveals (as we all predicted) that he was wearing a bulletproof vest. That reveal sets Sidwell off that he was played as Dante says there is evidence enough to arrest him for attempted murder.

Sidwell though, tells Dante that he needs to arrest Laura and his father, the mobster Sonny Corinthos, for Professor Dalton’s murder, but admits he no longer has the proof because Lucas broke into his safe and stole the evidence.

LUCAS GETS BY WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM HIS FRIENDS

Just then, “Nathan” (Ryan Paevey) shows up wondering what he missed. Sidwell says his lawyer will get the charges thrown out since Dante, Laura, Sonny and Lucas conspired against him. However, Dante mistakenly allows “Nathan” aka Cassius to be in charge of taking Sidwell to the PCPD and to book him.

Lucas is still uneasy. Laura wants him to go to GH to be checked out. Dante asks Laura and Sonny and Sonny about Dalton’s death, but they play dumb as if they know nothing about it, which is not lost on Dante that they are lying.

Later, none other than Joe takes Lucas to the hospital, and for the first time we see the two characters truly in a one-on-one moment together. Lucas talks about Marco and Joe waits around till the nurse comes to get Lucas to get checked out. Do you get a sense that Joe likes Lucas, or is that all in our minds?

SIDWELL GETS AWAY

Taking a side road, Cassius gets Sidwell out of his vehicle, and tells him he cannot protect him from an attempted murder charge, so the only thing Jenz can do is to get out of the country and disappear for good. Sidwell says he has many contingency plans in place, and also warns Cassius that he will expose him if he does not comply with what he needs him to do.

To make it look good, Sidwell asks for Cassius’ gun. In the final moments of the show, Cassius is seen with a gash on his head calling Dante, and informing him that Sidwell’s thugs jumped him and Jenz got away!

THE PLAN TO BLACKMAIL DREW BEGINS TO TAKE SHAPE

Elsewhere, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) is freaked out that Jack (Chris McKenna) is able to grab her arm and talk! Just then, Nina (Cynthia Watros) shows up. Willow learns her mother hasn’t been injecting Brennan with the paralytic drug. Jack says he can stop Sidwell and Cullum from coming after her and has evidence she can leverage against Drew.

Willow learns, that according to Brennan, Drew misappropriated federal funds and he has the proof, and if that should come to light, Drew would be sent to prison. Nina says Drew won’t risk being sent to prison again, so Willow can stop drugging him.

However, Jack has a plan. He says he’s the only one with the information on Drew. He thinks they should continue to let Cullum and Sidwell believe he’s still in a locked-in state to give him cover. Willow is told as much as she hates continuing to drug Drew, she will only need to do it 1 or 2 more times, to give Jack time to set everything in motion.

So, were you annoyed that Cassius freed Sidwell when he was caught shooting Lucas Jones? Where do you think Sidwell will go? Do you think Joe and Lucas might be potential boyfriends, and what do you think of Jack’s plan? Did Drew really misappropriate federal funds? Weigh-in via the comment section below. But first, check out the scenes between, Nina, Willow and Jack.
