THE BACHELORETTE: Charity Makes a Controversial Pick for the First Impression Rose

Photo: ABC

And we’re off to another season of The Bachelorette after its season premiere on Monday night.  This go-round, Charity Lawson is the lead of the show as men vie for the final rose. But, before we get to the final rose, we have to see how Lawson’s journey to find love began.

After all the guys and the limos arrive and all the awkward introductions (there were plenty, as per usual), host Jesse Palmer had a bombshell for Charity.  He revealed that the next guy out of the limo is someone she already knows very well, and who wanted to be a part of this.  As Charity panics, the limo opens, thinking it might be some rando ex of hers. Lo and behold, it turns out to be none other than her brother Nehemiah! Now that’s a great idea “Bachelorette’ producers.

Next, they give Nehemiah a wig and fake mustache to wear to be the bartender inside the house.  That way, he can be a super spy and eavesdrop on the conversations and report back to his sis.

Things get interesting when Charity meets Brayden and they share a kiss. After his time with Charity, it appeared that Brayden became very cocky and braggadocious about it.  Nehemiah reported this arrogance back to his sister, and that the guy had a ‘huge ego.”

After hearing this, Charity pulled Brayden aside to explain himself.  Brayden admitted, “I honestly felt like we had a really good connection, I mean, I wasn’t trying to be cocky, but the kiss that we had was really amazing. It was like, if I was in your shoes and I had that connection, I would’ve given you my first impression rose.”

Charity went on to say that the first impression rose is not something she takes lightly.  She adds, “So for you to share that with my brother about how strongly you feel about our connection for me, it meant a lot. So you have every single right to feel that because … yeah, you have truly been a breath of fresh air for me and I feel the exact same way.” Despite her brother’s warning, Charity gave Brayden the first impression rose. She says she liked his “confidence.”

In an interview with E! News, Lawson shared on her pick: “My decision to give Brayden the first impression rose truly boiled down to just how I felt in the moment with Brayden. We obviously had this chemistry right off the bat, but our conversation was easy and it was just organic.”  But in an epic tease, the question remains, will Brayden turn out to be the ultimate villain of the season? Charity shared: “Stay tuned to see if that giddiness turns into true cockiness.”

So what did you think of Charity’s choice of Brayden for the first impression rose? Did you love the twist of Charity’s brother posing as the bartender to give her inside intel on the men? Comment below.

WWE SMACKDOWN: LA Knight and John Cena Join Forces for ‘Fastlane’

After having missed last week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown due to Covid-19, LA Knight came roaring back in a spectacular finish to close out the show on the September 29th edition on Fox.

Earlier, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa of The Bloodline, along with special counsel, Paul Heyman, were all gloat as they announced to the live audience in Sacramento, California, and the viewers at home, that John Cena had travel delays and would not make it to the show.

Last week, Cena signed a contract to wrestle Uso and Sikoa and WWE Fastlane on October 7th and planned to tag team with AJ Styles.  However, The Bloodline took out Styles, leaving Cena without a partner.

Fast forward to last night, Cena finally arrived to the arena and was ready to announce he was going to have to wrestle in a handicap match against Uso and Sikoa, as he doesn’t have a partner.

Next, Sikoa and Uso came to the ring to beat down Cena.  That was until … cue the music … LA Knight appeared and made the save and cleared The Bloodline members from the ring. He then picked up the contract, signed it, making it official that he will team with Cena at Fastlane.

This looks to put Knight in what would be his first main event in the WWE.  Now the questions become; Will Cena and Knight work together and defeat Uso and Sikoa at Fastlane? Will they come apart at the seams, with one of the guys turning heel, setting up a feud for the remainder of Cena’s planned stay over the next few months of WWE programming?

Does putting Knight in a match against Uso and Sikoa raise his stock, so the WWE can put this overwhelming fan favorite in a match against WWE Universal champ and the Head of the Table, Roman Reigns? Maybe as soon as Crown Jewel on November 4th in Saudi Arabia?

Let us know, if you are excited to see Knight and Cena team up against Uso and Sikoa at Fastlane, and what do you think will be the fallout and aftermath from that match for the two fan favorites via the comment section below.
