THE BACHELORETTE SEASON FINALE: After Breaking It Off With Her Final Rose Fiancée Jed, Hannah asks Runner-Up Tyler Out On A Date

Photo: ABC

Those who place bets that Hannah would end up alone at the end of her ‘Bachelorette’ season amidst betrayal, lies, and former girlfriends were right .. well, almost!  On Tuesday, it was the second part of a two-night season finale for the ABC reality-dating competition and the former Miss Alabama was to choose her “Mr. Right” and who would get the final rose on the last installment of Hannah’s journey.

Choosing between Tyler and Jed, and waiting in Crete, Greece for a proposal, Tyler was the first man out of the limo, and that is never a good sign on the show.  As he starts to profess his undying love to Hannah, she finally puts a halt to it.  She tells him she loves someone else more.  Hannah walks Tyler out to the limo to send him away for good.  In the limo, he seems a bit crushed, but its hard to tell, because Tyler’s chiseled face remained fairly stoic.

That means Jed was Hannah’s man! Right? Wrong!  When Jed shows up with guitar in hand (another shameless plug for his music career, but we ask, if you were trying to be a country music star, wouldn’t you use any opportunity to be heard?), it’s time for him to profess his feelings for Hannah.  However, Jed says he is tongue tied and can say it best in a song.  He then launches into the song he wrote about them and sings a verse/chorus.  Next, he gets down on one knee, and Hannah accepts.  They seem happy, although the look on Jed’s face throughout, in hindsight, felt like he may be hiding something.

The show fast-forward’s to the duo’s relationship post the final rose ceremony.  Now in Los Angeles, Brown sees the PEOPLE article about Wyatt’s ex, Haley Stevens who claimed she was in a four month relationship with Wyatt; before he left to fly to L.A. to be part of The Bachelorette season.

With camera crews abound, Hannah asks Jed to explain all of this.  He tries to tell his side of the story.  But the more he explained, the more he looked worse to her and Bachelor Nation.  Jed says he met Haley when he was very single, and he was dating around and he didn’t feel it was exclusive  But then he says how they went away together, Stevens even met his parents, and that he told her he loved her before he left for the reality-dating show.  Then. Hannah is beyond betrayed and takes off the engagement ring he gave her.

Now, we are at Tuesday’s live After the Final Rose, and Hannah reveals that she broke it off with Jed via a phone call several weeks ago.  Jed comes out to the stage to basically no applause from the studio audience.  This is the first time they have seen, or spoken to each other, since their engagement went bust.  Jed apologizes again to her, but says he still loves her and always will.  However, Hannah says her feelings for him have changed.  She is done for good.

But all is not lost for Hannah’s now seemingly disastrous season of The Bachelorette.  In the final minutes, Tyler comes to the stage and sees Hannah for the first time since she sent him packing.  When the audience, and host, Chris Harrison are supportive of perhaps the two trying it again and getting together, Hannah says to Tyler:  “I want somebody to be bold and I’m bold and I make bold moves. You’re an incredible guy and I’m a single girl.  I thought maybe we could go for a drink and just hang out.”  Without hesitation, the contractor/model tells Hannah, “I would love to. Just tell me when. I’m there.”

DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Wally Kurth & Chandler Massey Deliver Poignant Scenes As Justin Tells Will ‘Don’t Give Up On Life’

If you caught Thursday’s episode of Days of our Lives, the scenes capturing the minds of DAYS viewers featured touching work from Wally Kurth (Justin) and Chandler Massey (Will).

In it, after seeing Ben (Rob Scott Wilson) in prison, Justin comes upon Will, the man responsible for his beloved wife, Adrienne’s death (although the circumstances of just how Will was responsible have yet to come to light within the time jump).

Justin informs Will he is taking over Ben’s case, and Will thinks that with Justin on his side, Ben will have a better chance of getting out of the slammer.  Then, a guilt-ridden Will tells Justin that he thinks about Adrienne every single day and he will never stop hating and loathing on himself for being responsible for taking the love of Justin’s life away from him, and for what it has done to Will’s husband, Sonny, who has lost his mother in the process, and caused a huge rift in their marriage.

As things get more emotional between the two men, Will tells Justin that in his heart Adrienne was like a mom to him. Then, an emotional Justin tells Will he knows he did not mean to harm Adrienne.  Will thanks Justin, but thinks Justin hates him.  It is then that Justin reveals he could never hate Will.

Justin admits he hates what Will did, but let’s him know in no uncertain terms that he thinks of Will as a son, and will not and can’t stop loving him.  As Justin begins to tear up, he becomes emotionally overwhelmed by the sadness of the entire situation, and tells Will, “You’re a part of our family for better or worse.”

Next, Justin reminds Will that no matter what happens life goes on.   He himself is a perfect example as he has fallen in love with Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) and is happy for the first time in many months.  Then in the punctuation point of the scene, Justin tells Will to never give up on life and the two embrace.

Did Wally Kurth just lock up an Emmy nomination with this scene that aired on Thursday’s episode of Days of our Lives? Did you reach for the hankies?  Share your thoughts on the heart-tugging scenes via the comment section below.  But first watch some key moments from it.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Max Gail Turns In Another Emmy-Worthy Performance As Mike’s Battle With Alzheimer’s Takes Its Toll

For any of us who have seen our loved ones deteriorate right before our eyes, due to the horrific affects of Alzheimer’s, and have been witness to their confusion, dementia, angry outbursts, frightened looks, and uncontrollable tears, yesterday’s episode of General Hospital brought with it a stark reminder of how this disease is a gut-punch to those afflicted and their family members.

For several months, GH viewers saw a bit less of Mike; played brilliantly by recent Daytime Emmy Supporting Actor in a Drama Series winner, Max Gail.  And smartly, the writers have taken the time to advance Mike’s condition …. as at this point he doesn’t recognize his son, his family, his friends, and more.  For Mike, he is living in the past spirally backward and downward.

When Dev (Ashton Arbab) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) go to visit Mike at Turning Woods, it’s clear  how much he is suffering.  When Dev plays a checkers game with Mike it seems to calm him down, but when Sonny (Maurice Benard) enters, all hell breaks loose.  Mike thinks his son is actually one of their mortal enemies Joe Scully.

Earlier, at the Corinthos home, Michael (Chad Duell) sees that Sonny is considering entering his father in a clinical trial. Sonny says he knows it won’t cure the disease, but hopes the drugs in the trial can slow its progression.  In a key question, any family member needs to ask themselves, Michael asks Sonny to think first, if this is the man Mike would want to be?  Michael shares that Mike is no longer himself and sadly, there is no coming back from that.

All this becomes more poignant when Sonny sees first-hand how far Mike has slid.  Will Sonny be able to come to terms with losing Mike to Alzheimer’s?  How will he deal with it?  Gail’s partner in this entire storyline has been GH icon, Maurice Benard, who delivers poignant work throughout this story in very contained, emotional moments of deep hurt and pain, as Sonny watches the father he knew become lost in himself and to others.

Watch the key scenes below from yesterday’s GH below featuring Gail.  Then, let us know, do you think Max could end up in the running for another Daytime Emmy for his work?  Comment below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Alexis Learns The Truth, Finn Is Reeling, Mike is Too Hard To Handle, Julian Sets A Trap

On Thanksgiving day, General Hospital aired a brand new episode … and it was chocked-full of cliffhangers that will have fans waiting on the edge of their seats till next Monday, when the next new installment of the ABC daytime drama series airs.

In story, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) who is now uber-suspicious of Kendra (Michelle Argyris), receives a visit from her as she is preparing to leave GH and go home after being poisoned. Kendra offers to bring Alexis more supplements, but Alexis tell her she will contact the distributor herself.  Kendra says the distributor only speaks Italian, and Alexis counters that she also speaks Italian.  At that point, Kendra’s plan may have gone up in smoke.  Later, Alexis has checked out of the hospital  on her own.  Neil (Joe Flanigan) is concerned for her, and bumps into Julian (Willam deVry) and it is Julian who says he saw Kendra with the supplement jar retrieving it from the garbage.  The two men look concerned.

Next, we see Kendra visiting her brother, Kiefer’s grave where she places flowers on it, and tells him she promises to make Alexis pay for killing him.  However, Alexis has followed her to the gravesite.  Once Kendra walks away, Alexis goes to the grave, lifts up the flowers and is shocked when she sees Kiefer’s name on the headstone.  Then from behind, Kendra smashes Alexis in the head with a rock.

Julian is ready to snuff Brad (Parry Shen) out of his and his son, Lucas’ (Ryan Carnes) life once and for all, and he cuts a wire in Brad’s car.  Problem is, everyone assumed Lucas would be working on Thanksgiving at the hospital.  So first, Brad lets Michael (Chad Duelle) take Wiley to the Corinthos family Thanksgiving,  and tells Michael he does not want to attend, because of Carly (Laura Wright) and the family’s issue with him visiting Nelle (Chloe Lanier) in prison.  Next, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) tells Lucas to go home – that she got his shift covered by Terry.  Lucas goes home to confront Brad.  He tells his husband, to please tell him what he is keeping from him.

At the Corinthos home, Mike (Max Gail) comes to Thanksgiving dinner from Turning Woods.  When he comes inside he is confused, wondering when his own parents are coming.  Carly tells him that his parents left him with them to take care of him for Thanksgiving.  Later, Mike is holding baby Donna, which scares Michael, Carly and Sonny (Maurice Benard).  When Carly is able to get the baby in to her hands, Mike loses his temper and gets upset and pushes Sonny right into the Thanksgiving food, which falls to the floor.  Sonny can’t seem to calm Mike down and tells Carly he needs to take his father back to Turning Woods where they can take care of him. Sonny is devastated.

At Anna’s (Finola Hughes), Finn (Michael Easton) comes upon the letter Hayden wrote for him, when Violet asks for her doll, which is inside her bag.  Alone, Finn opens the letter and is heartbroken, and shook, when he reads that Hayden is in serious trouble and had to leave town to protect Violet. She tells Finn she knows he will take good care of their daughter.  Finn is reduced to tears, trying to cope with what is in front of him.

What do you think will happen with Brad, Lucas and the car that Julian tampered with?  Will this be the end of Mike as his condition continues to spiral downward?
