‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Adds Harrison Cone to the Cast to Round Out First Male Gay Couple in Show History
Will wonders never cease? A show about the fashion industry is finally going to have a gay couple that are men? Yes, B&B fans, it has come true. In casting news today, the CBS daytime drama is bringing on actor Harrison Cone, as a budding fashion designer who will be in a relationship with none other than Electra’s (Laneya Grace) previous stalker, Remy Pryce, played by Daytime Emmy nominee, Christian Weissman.
The bombshell casting news also included that yes, the character that Cone will play will share a kiss with Weissmann’s Remy on-screen, but there must be another twist, as The Bold and the Beautiful is keeping the identify of this new male character played by Cone under wraps.
However, it has been noted by Deadline that he has a tie to one of the other characters on the canvas. Viewers will not have to wait too long, because the actor’s on-screen debut is set for Tuesday’s September 16th episode of the CBS daytime drama series.

Cone’s previous credits include Mariah Carey’s newest video for her single, Type Dangerous, plus TV and streaming roles in Hacks, The Summer I Turned Pretty and American Horror Stories, to name but a few.
The Bold and the Beautiful previously had a lesbian couple on the canvas played by Joanna Johnson and Crystal Chappell in 2012. Johnson played Karen Spencer and it was revealed that her friend Chappell’s Danielle was actually her lover and partner. In addition, back in 2015 B&B told the story of a trans woman played by cis actress Karla Mosley (ex-Maya Avant, now Dani, Beyond the Gates).

Maya’s storyline made soap history as the first series regular transgender character in daytime television. Maya went on to become the first transgender bride in TV before the character was written off in 2019. Since that time, Karla Mosley has been vocal that a trans actress should have been given the opportunity to play that role.

As for Christian Weissman, he first appeared on B&B back in 2024 in the storyline with Electra with Will (Crew Morrow) saving his girlfriend from the obsessed Remy. Just how B&B will spin the story from here for Remy will be interesting to note.
Weissman is nominated in the first-ever nominations fo the Daytime Emmys newest acting category Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series. Will Christian’s name be called on Emmy night on October 17th? Stay tuned!

So, what do you think of B&B finally bringing in a gay character who is a fashion designer? And, pairing him up with another character, Remy, to finally have gay male representation on the canvas? Share your thoughts in the comment section. In addition, watch for Harrison Cone in Mariah Carey’s latest music video below.
It took 38 YEARS to finally reflect a key component of the LA fashion scene. Let’s see if they commit to the characters and how the show the romance/passion.
I might finally be able to check this complaint off my list.
Does LA have a fashion scene? It has great shops and stuff and movies and tv but is there a couture sensibility there Ive always wondered.
So he will be around, what? Six months max?
I will take Jack Marone or Eric Sharpe for $100.
Brooke recently said that Jack was working at Forrester International when Nick was kn town, so that’s my first thought. Although, they could FINALLY be casting Hope’s brother and Deacon’s son with Becky Moore(Amber’s cousin). I can’t really see a son of Deacon in fashion though if they go that route. Jack makes more sense.
Bigger question is, why is Remy getting a romance? He’s hardly on. And we dont care enough about his character for a romance. And after stalking Electra he’s gay now?! Will be interesting.
Having one of Brooke’s kids be gay would be more the route they would go though, IMO.
He will be playing Jack Marone
I sense this is one of those only-for-the-moment plots that will be hot for maybe a minute then fade as seems the pattern on B&B. On this show, it is either a spark in storytelling or the endless bore of repeated romances among family members who never seem to learn and grow from the experiences. Why Remy? The character really seemed unnecessary and the stalking Electra storyline rushed and unsatisfyingly resolved. And if the new actor is playing Jack Marone, why bring him in after Nick is off canvas and the child was never considered family anyway? BB cannot seem to make something work with RJ who IS the son of the show’s romantic leads.

Now, the long-running soap opera has confirmed, what has been previously reported, that current General Hospital breakdown writer, Ryan Quan is heading back to his old stomping grounds in Salem. THE FUTURE OF DAYS OF OUR LIVES
Since Days of our Lives unusual production schedule tapes ten-months ahead of air, the new creative team’s vision led by Quan and Jeanne Marie Ford are not expected to stream on Peacock until mid-2027.
Days of Our Lives is currently renewed through its 63rd season. The former NBC soap opera which transitioned to Peacock in September of 2022, celebrate its 60th anniversary in November of 2025.
The writing regime change comes after NBCUniversal Media Chairman Matt Strauss revealed that Peacock is expected to turn a profit for the first time in the current quarter, punctuating their investment with the enduring soap opera on its platform.
As for Quan, his knowledge of Salem is tremendous. Ryan joined Days of Our Lives as a writer’s assistant in 2007 after some time over at Passions. He then spent two decades and held every position on the writing team where he previously served as co-head writer from 2016-17 alongside Dena Higley.
Later, when Ron Carlivati took over as head writer for 7 years in 2017, Quan became his right-hand man and main story consultant for his deep knowledge of the history and the legacy of the show. After Carlivati exited the show in 2024, General Hospital hired Quan in 2025.
So, what do you think about DAYS making it official with Ryan Quan as the new co-head writer of the series alongside Jeanne Marie Ford. What do you think about the fact we won’t see the changes on-screen till 2027? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

ABC Announces ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Texas Spin-Off Gets Straight-to-Series Order
In a surprise move, coming a week after ABC unveiled its 2026-2027 fall television schedule, Grey’s Anatomy is getting a new spinoff co-created by the original series’ creator/executive producer Shonda Rhimes.
The new untitled medical drama will be written and executive produced by Rhimes and Grey’s Anatomy showrunner/executive producer Meg Marinis under the Shondaland and 20th Television umbrella. In addition, long-running ‘Grey’s’ star Ellen Pompeo will also serve as an EP of the spinoff.
The upcoming new series will debut midseason in 2027. This will be the first of Grey’s franchise not set in urban city or West Coast locale. According to Deadline, the new “edgy drama is about a team at a rural West Texas medical center — the last chance for care before miles of nowhere.”

In a statement, Marinis shared, “I am incredibly excited to expand the Grey’s Anatomy universe. This opportunity will bring new characters and stories to life that will embody the same heart, emotion and connection audiences have loved from Grey’s for more than two decades — all set in my home state of Texas. I am so grateful to Shonda Rhimes for creating this dynamic world and feel so fortunate that I get to be a part of it.”
A NEW GROUP OF DOCTORS IN RURAL TEXAS
The Texas spinoff will feature a a new group of doctors, but there will be some connection to the OG Grey’s Anatomy and possibly to Debbie Allen’s character of Catherine Fox. The amount of episodes in the series order has not yet been determined. Previous Grey’s Anatomy spinoffs were the defunct Station 19 and Private Practice.
Previously, Grey’s Anatomy was renewed for its upcoming 23rd season while the amount of episodes is unclear. The last two seasons the series produced 18 episodes.
It should also be noted, Grey’s Anatomy and the Texas spinoff would likely share a time period, which requires limited-run orders for both with Grey’s premiering in the fall, followed by the spinoff on the midseason programming block.
So, what do you think about a Texas spinoff of Grey’s Anatomy coming in 2027? Who would you like to see from daytime or primetime as some of the featured roles as new doctors? Put on your casting directors hat and let us know via the comment section below.
