Six-time Daytime Emmy winner, Heather Tom, while not taking the gold at the recent Daytime Emmys for Lead Actress, which would have been a record-breaking victory for an actress; should be prepared that in 2027, she has to be near to a lock take that award home!

In the last few months Michael Fairman TV has named her weekly performances as Power Performance of the Week, and for the week of November 2-6, she has done it again!

How did she earn the honors? Well, quite simply, this version of Katie Logan that is being written and portrayed beautifully, has given the character infused live, a backbone, a woman so tired of being put-upon and wronged, that she is firing back in such major ways that her own family doesn’t recognize her behavior.

KATIE AND BROOKE HAVE A SEISMIC SHOWDOWN

Longtime viewers of The Bold and the Beautiful can make a very compelling case that the behavior is justified. Then, on the November 4 episode, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Katie have another major confrontation. Katie is irate that Brooke phoned Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) in an effort to help Bill get through to her to back off the way she is destroying Forrester Creations, in what appears to be Katie’s poaching of the design team, and her ramped up vendetta against Brooke.

However, let’s not forget, Brooke and their sister, Donna (Jennifer Gareis) disowned Katie from the family just a few months ago too! Now in this showdown, Katie rips into Brooke after Brooke attempts to reason with her. Brooke even pulls out the “Stormy” card, reminding viewers that Katie has Storm’s heart. She snipes, “Do you really think he’d be proud of you right now?”

In that moment, Katie chokes up and is struck by that statement, but defends her actions and says Storm would be proud of her. Brooke goes in on if Storm would approve of the way she has gone about building her Logan fashion house design team, which to many seem like cutthroat tactics, Brooke even tells her “Bill is worried.”

Katie snaps after that comment and begins to show her disgust and emotional wounds from how Brooke slept with Bill years ago, especially when she goes in on the the text message Brooke sent to Bill and the use of a stallion emoji. Brooke claims it meant nothing, but Katie shuts her down and shuts her up! Reminding her sister, how she destroyed everything.

KATIE NEVER FORGOT HOW BROOKE SLEPT WITH BILL

Brooke reminds Katie that she had postpartum depression at the time, and she “pushed” her and Bill together. Katie begins to cry, “How could you not know something was profoundly wrong?”

Katie says while she was suffering, Brooke was off in Aspen having sex with Bill. She says of her sister, “You take what you want, and it doesn’t matter who gets hurt and whose life gets destroyed.” She then snipes what was her sister’s excuse the second time?

Then, in the masterful moment in the performance, as sister Donna walks into the showdown, Katie warns Brooke to not EVER talk to her again about morality, or ever accuse her of stealing anything from her, when “You are the master!”

BROOKE’S PAST WILL ALWAYS BE THROWN IN HER FACE

Next, Katie throws down the line Stephanie Forrester called Brooke all the years of their feud, “You are just a slut from the valley.” She punctuated it to both her sister, “We all know she’d sell her soul for a little male attention.'”

Katie tells Brooke she will never apologize to Bill, adding, “And I will never forgive you for this. I am so done with you, and if you’re going to stand next to her (aimed at Donna), then I am done with you too.” As the scene came to its conclusion, Katie told Brooke and Katie to, “stay away from me, stay away from my family, and stay away from Bill.”

Throughout all the scenes, Heather Tom displayed why she is one of the fiercest actresses in daytime drama. This storyline has afforded Tom the opportunity to show all of Katie’s inner rage built over years as she finally lets it out on those who wronged her. For anyone who has been made to feel the weaker sibling in a family, Tom is showing the cause and effect of what can happen to someone after years of feeling put down.

For all the reasons stated above, Michael Fairman TV names Heather Tom our selection for Power Performance of the Week. You can check out part of Heather’s emotional turn in the video clip below.

Now let us know, do you agree with our pick of Heather Tom for the Power Performance of the Week? What do  you think about how Katie is being written in this storyline? Do you think Heather has secured the Lead Actress Emmy in 2027? Weigh-in via the comment section.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Elizabeth Thinks of Dante While With Ric; Will She Leave Her Ex in the Dust?

Published

Liz, Dante and Ric

Clearly, head nurse Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) is trying to deny her feelings for Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) on General Hospital, when she is trying to make up for missed opportunities and dates with her former husband, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst).

On the Friday, November 6 episode, Elizabeth arrived at the Metro Court for her date with Ric. She made sure she thanked the legal eagle for taking care of her house on Halloween when she was called into work.

However, while telling Ric this, Elizabeth is struck by a flashback of her and Dante baking in her kitchen, where a very close encounter almost led Dante and Elizabeth to kiss. After shaking that image off in her head, she goes back to her date with Ric, who is being very sweet to her.

ELIZABETH HAVING SECOND THOUGHTS ABOUT RIC

Their date gets interrupted when Lulu (Alexa Havins) shows up at their table asking Elizabeth to convince Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) to drop the libel case against her.

Later, when Liz talked with Willow, and Willow shared she appreciated the head nurse looking out for her, she asks her friend if Ric is the kind of man she wants her life?

Willow is pointing out, as she had in her relationship with Drew (Cameron Mathison), does Ric really love Elizabeth  … or is he using her to get what he wants? That comment puts more doubt in Elizabeth’s mind over reconnecting with Ric, and giving her more credence to follow her feelings for Dante.

So, where is this leading? Will Elizabeth cut things off with Ric? If so, will he snap? Is Ric using Elizabeth? And what about Dante? Are you enjoying the growing closeness between Elizabeth and Dante, or do you prefer Elizabeth with Ric? Let us know in the comment section, But first, check what went down on Ric and Elizabeth’s dinner date which lead to more questions than answers below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Tracy Leaves Port Charles to Help Dillon; Paving the Way for Jane Elliot’s Temporary Exit

Published

on

By

Jane Elliot

General Hospital viewers became concerned when on the Thursday, November 5 episode, Tracy (Jane Elliot) was preparing to leave Port Charles to go help her son, Dillon Quartermaine, who got arrested while trying to film in Thailand.

Tracy informed Jason (Steve Burton), that she had to leave and was counting on him to look after things while she was away. That included: making sure Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and baby Phoebe were safe from the likes of Jude Jax (Wil Traval) as well as the Quartermaine businesses since Ned (Wally Kurth) still can’t overexert himself since his heart attack.

In Tracy’s final scenes, for now, she tells Gio (Giovanni Mazza) and Emma (Braedyn Bruner) to be there for Brook Lynn while she is going through her ordeal after divorcing Chase (Josh Swickard) and Jude trying to claim baby Phoebe.

HOW LONG WILL JANE ELLIOT BE GONE FROM GENERAL HOSPITAL?

However, GH fans! Have no fear. Tracy’s exit was written into the show to facilitate Jane Elliot’s annual vacation. Same time last year, Elliot exited the canvas around this time after the entire Ronnie Bard/Martin Grey debacle; where they conspired to make it look like Monica left the Quartermaine mansion to her sister, Ronnie (Erika Slezak) instead of Tracy. In that storyline, Tracy took off for a spa in France for some much-needed R&R.

Now, according to Soap Opera Digest, while viewers are just seeing the beginnings of Jane Elliot’s temporary leave, the soap opera confirmed that the long-running star is already back taping new episodes. GH roughly runs about six weeks ahead of air in its production schedule.

ALL ABOUT JANE

Jane Elliot started her GH journey back in 1978, and has come and gone a few times including an announced retirement back in 2017, only to eventually come out of retirement a few tines, and rejoin the show full-time in 2023.

Along the way, Elliot has won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress back in 1981, and in 2025 was honored for her 50 years of excellence in daytime television becoming a Gold Circle honoree from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Michael Fairman TV spoke to Jane at that time, immediately after receiving her honor on-stage. You can check out that interview here.

Now below, watch scenes from Thursday’s GH where Tracy informs Jason she has to leave the country and go help her son.

Then let us know, with the mention of Dillon Quartermaine on today’s GH, will the soap opera FINALLY recast the role? Will you miss Jane while she is off-screen? Glad to know she is already back taping all-new episodes of the ABC daytime drama series? Let us know in the comment section.

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL: Steffy Crumbles to the Floor After Intense Grilling From Taylor and Ridge About Her Surrogacy

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood as Steffy

Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) were sweating bullets on the Thursday November 5 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful as the two were awaiting the reaction of Taylor (Rebecca Budig) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye); after Steffy told her parents she was pregnant and that she agreed to be a surrogate for Carter and Daphne (Murielle Hilaire).

While Steffy dropped the bombshell on her parents with Finn (Tanner Novlan) by her side at the cliff House, Carter was losing his grip on reality and hallucinated that Ridge came storm-trooping into the Forrester CEO office and told Carter to get out! Once back to reality, Carter was waiting for the shoe to drop.

At the cliff house, Ridge can’t believe no one said word to him or Taylor about his daughter becoming a surrogate for Carter and Daphne. When Ridge looked at Finn for keeping quiet too, Finn came forward that he didn’t know about it! Steffy had done this without consulting him. Further confusing Taylor and Ridge.

TAYLOR AND RIDGE ARE STUNNED BY STEFFY’S ADMISSION

Taylor puts Steffy on blast for making such a huge decision without consulting her husband. or thinking about her family, her children. her career! Finn says he reacted the same way. None of this makes sense to Taylor, and all Steffy does is apologize. Ridge and Taylor feel this is very strange behavior coming from their daughter and there must be something more to this.

Next, Taylor goes over all the challenges of being a surrogate, and the utter shock that Steffy didn’t come to her own mother to discuss this before moving forward with a procedure and becoming pregnant; especially given the fact that Taylor is a therapist who discusses surrogacy with parents and the surrogate.

CARTER IS WRACKED WITH GUILT

Meanwhile, back at Forrester, Carter is hyperventilating! He has flashes of the night he and Steffy had sex on the Forrester office couch! Suddenly the phone rings and it’s Ridge. Carter tries to calm himself down and plays it off like nothing is going down, answering, “Hey man, what’s going on?” Next, Ridge lays into him yelling, “I’m at Steffy’s. Get over here right now.”

STEFFY’S HEAD IS SPINNING

Back inside the cliff house, Taylor still can’t get over Steffy not confiding in her own mother! She tells Steffy that giving up a grandchild will break her heart, so imagine what it will do to Steffy’s?! Once again, Taylor says none of this is like you at all, Steffy!

Taylor continues to Ridge, “Why won’t she talk to her own mother?” Steffy cries out, “I know! I’m sorry!” Suddenly, the room starts swirling for Steffy as she sees Taylor, Ridge and Finn’s disapproving faces and collapses to the floor! We fade to black.

You can watch how Steffy and Carter crumble under the pressure in the scenes below.

Now weigh-in: Do you think that Taylor and Ridge will help get to the bottom of what is really going on here? Will Carter and Steffy be able to talk their way around why this is such a great idea for Steffy to give Carter and Daphne a baby? Share your thoughts via the comment section.
