The Bold and the Beautiful’s Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter Walton) new BET+ original movie, The Accused drops today, April 10th, on the streamer. In The Accused, which Saint-Victor filmed during the summer of 2024 (when B&B has two dark weeks), the actor and writer takes on the role of  Detective Lance Branson.

The story centers around a plant geneticist, Dani West played by Paige Hurd, who gets accused of killing her fiancé. Saint-Victor is the cop that has to bring her in and take her down.

Speaking with TV Insider on his BET+ role, Lawrence explained, “We both realize there’s corruption all around us. I’m a good cop, and I learn that I’m working in a very corrupt police precinct, and she’s a geneticist working for a pharmaceutical company, and she learns this company is underhanded and evil as well. So, these two characters who are at odds will eventually have to work together and save the day.”

According to the official loglines for the movie, Lawrence’s character of Lance is said to be “A dedicated and hard-working police detective. Lance balances his demanding career with the responsibilities of being a husband and father-to-be. He is a man of integrity, deeply committed to justice, and often goes above and beyond in his investigations. Lance is physically fit and resourceful, attributes that come in handy in his line of work. Despite his tough exterior, he has a soft spot for his wife showing a more tender and caring side in his interactions with her.”

Playing a detective was a departure for Saint-Victor, who fans most know from his role as Remy Boudreau on Guiding Light and Carter on The Bold and the Beautiful, “I did a lot of research on detectives and homicide detectives just to see how they see the world. We see a lot of them on TV, and they’re usually these hardcore aggressive types, or you see the good cop, bad cop routine. When I was doing my research, I found that a lot of these detectives were warm and genuine, so I really leaned into the idea of being a friend and connected to that quality of being the hero.”

In addition, Saint-Victor’s real-life wife Shay Flake, who is also an actress and a musician, booked the role of Lance’s wife in the film and also wrote two songs for it and one for MC Lyte who was the main composer for the film.

You can check out the trailer for the ‘The Accused’ below, followed by Saint-Victor’s appearance this week on CBS News in Los Angeles promoting the movie.  Now let us know, will you be checking out Lawrence as a police detective in this BET+ original movie? THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS: Will Nick Take the Rap for Marie’s Abusive Husband’s Death?

Published

on

By

NICK NEWMAN

Just when you think The Young and the Restless couldn’t make Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) stay in rehab any worse than it is for him, now it looks like “hero” Nick is going to come to the rescue of his friend and addict, Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) in a major way, after the shocking ending on the Friday, September 4 episode of the top-rated CBS soap opera.

In story, Nick, who is craving a fix, runs into Marie. She tells Nick she understands his urge to use. Marie says she is skipping the group meeting today and Nick wants to know what is upsetting her. Marie fesses up that her husband is coming to visit her to discuss their divorce. She has already admitted that her husband named Logan (Tommy Walker) is a bully. Nick says he will stand up to him for her.

Marie tells him to not get involved in her mess, because Nick has to battle his own demons right now. As much as Nick presses her, she firmly tells him to not be in the room when she talks with Logan. She admits she wants to use so bad right now that she can’t see straight. However, she won’t. Marie fears if she does she will end up with nothing within the divorce. Just then, who should appear, but Logan.

LOGAN IS A BAD DUDE

Logan sees his wife and Nick looking too close for comfort. Nick introduces himself and Logan realizes Nick is from the rich and powerful Newman family and taunts him about exposing him being in a rehab facility, and what might happen if the word got out.

Next, Logan asks to speak to his wife alone. So, Nick leaves, but he really doesn’t. He just goes around the corner out of sight and listens in to the conversation. Logan is relentless on Marie. He wants to know if she bad mouthed him to Nick. Logan then proceeds to call her a “victim” and “trash.” He grabs her and asks if she’s already had sex with Nick (which she has) but she denies it. Now angered, he grabs her by her face.

Marie shoves Logan off of her, and he falls all the way back in the room and hits his head. Nick rushes in hearing the fight and sees Logan motionless on the floor. Marie tells Nick her husband was about to hit her and she panicked.

NICK IS HORRIFIED

Nick moves over to Logan’s body, and yells “Get up!” However, Logan doesn’t move. Nick feels for a pulse and doesn’t find one and Nick is stunned. Marie just stands there upset asking,  “Is he dead? Did I kill him?!” Nick looks up about to answer her, and we fade black.

Then, in the video preview for all-new episodes next week on The Young and the Restless, Nick must have called Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) to the rehab facility for legal advice; all leading him to want some answers for a potential murder charge. It would seem that noble Nick might take a murder rap for Marie!

So, does this infuriate you as a viewer, that Nick could wind up now with a murder charge after standing up for a woman he just met recently in a seedy motel during a drug binge? What do you think of this storyline now? Is Y&R ruining Nick’s addiction story played to perfection by Joshua Morrow with some trumped up drama we didn’t need, or do you like this next leg of the story? Share your thoughts via the comment section, but first take a look at this video preview of next week’s Y&R below.

‘General Hospital’ to Rebroadcast Special Episode in Tribute to Anthony Geary

Published

Anthony Geary

This Labor Day, General Hospital will show an encore presentation of its touching tribute to the late Anthony Geary (Luke Spencer). The news came from ABC executive, Nathan Varni who shared the information across social media.

Varni expressed, “Save the date! ABC will encore our very special farewell tribute to Tony Geary this Labor Day, Monday, September 7.”

The episode was originally broadcast on February 20, 2026, and honored to the late eight-time Daytime Emmy winner, who sadly passed away on December 14, 2025 at the age of 78.

The tribute episode centered on Luke’s daughter Lulu (Alexa Havins) finally grieving the loss of her father after she had come out of a four-year long coma and never dealt with her grief on learning the news of his death.

WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE ON-SCREEN REMEMBRANCE OF LUKE SPENCER?

The other characters who remember their time with Luke who are included in the episode with many flashbacks were: Tracy (Jane Elliot), Sonny (Maurice Benard), Carly (Laura Wright), Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and of course, Laura (Genie Francis).

Behind the scenes, General Hospital wanted to pay tribute to its most iconic star, but since the character of Luke was killed-off in 2022 off-screen, after Geary retired, there wasn’t an easy creative route to go when Geary passed away in real-life. However, the writers did a commendable job with this special episode in tying in memories and remembrances of Luke through Lulu’s grief as a starting point.

THE LAST APPEARANCE OF TONY GEARY ON GENERAL HOSPITAL

Anthony Geary exited General Hospital in 2015 after his record-setting eight Daytime Emmy Lead Actor wins for his work. He then moved to Amsterdam full-time to live with his husband, Claudio Gama.

Two years later, Geary made one final appearance on GH, when in 2017 he popped in the last scene of what was Jane Elliot’s then departure from the show when Tracy was reunited with Luke in Europe.

You can check out the original promo for the special episode “Remembering Luke Spencer” and the late Tony Geary from back in February of this year below.

Now let us know, will you be watching the Anthony Geary tribute again this coming Monday? Do you miss seeing the character of Luke Spencer in Port Charles? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
