THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL: Passion Ignites for Carter and Quinn

CBS Daytime’s The Bold and the Beautiful has been known over the years to surprise viewers with a cliffhanger they may have not seen coming, or a moment within an episode, that was unexpected.  Now, while often on daily episodes of soaps there is repetition in scenes and stories, Friday’s show surprised many!

In story, Quinn (Rena Sofer) went over to see Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) to try to get him to forgive Zoe (Kiara Barnes) and give her another chance, only things don’t go as planned.

Carter tells Quinn when he sees Zoe he wants to make love to her, and that it’s been a long time since he has had sex. Quinn can relate informing Carter expressing that it’s been a really long time since she felt wanted by Eric (John McCook).  She says that it feel like “We’re strangers”, and that when she reaches out to touch Eric he actually recoils.  Quinn adds that she is starving for affection, and that sometimes she just wants to be held.  Carter adds that he does not want to chase anyone, especially if she has feelings for someone else.  He wants someone who truly wants him.

As the seduction between Quinn and Carter begins, she recalls how Eric’s love gave her confidence and made her feel sexy and how she just wants to feel that again.  Next, Carter moves in close to Quinn, which prompts her to whisper, “We can’t”, but oh they do! Cue the music, the making love montage, the candles, the sofa, the camera cuts back and forth, and voila, Carter and Quinn make love.

This is a great twist for B&B, which will clearly give Lawrence Saint-Victor and Rena Sofer a secret to play.

Now the question becomes, will Carter and Quinn be the next hot couple on the show, or will this just be one night of bliss? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

Oh Carter, you are seriously in some deep _____ now!

He sure has my pity, any man that gets involved with that witch!

Hey Violet. You know it! Can we say unemployment for both of them and being ousted from the Forrester mansion for Quinn!

After the heat was flying off of these two when Quinn went to Carter’s apartment with him half dressed, it was only a matter of time before this happened!!

Instead, Carter might want to find out if that “Hope” mannequin is still available. 🙂

I don’t quite get what you meant about the manniquin, but I think even the manniquin would be preferable to Quinn. I just have never liked the character, after what she did to Liam, kidnapping him, etc, messing with Deacon and Ridge, siccing her friend on Ridge her step-son, just to hurt Brooke and now having sex with Carter, family friend and loyal employee, that really shows how much she loves Eric. Can’t blame her in one respect, he is a hunk, even in these old lady’s eyes.

Hi Violet: I certainly understand your reasons for disdain of Quinn and her misdeeds. I’m just being facetious with my original comment, but you agree with me! Cheers, Friend!

A few things…
1. I think that Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter) and Rena Sofer (Quinn) have wonderful on-screen chemistry together. Just saying…
2. That wishy-washy Zoe is way too WHINY AND ANNOYING!!!!!
3. Eric listens to Brooke WAY TOO MUCH…PERIOD!!!!!

CARTER AND QUINN 2021!!!!!

Later.

I agree with you jaybird

Hope this is a fantasy scene snd not the real deal.

Carter and Quinn are in so much trouble. Zoe is leaving the canvas anyway. Eric needs to move on again! Thomas will get Hope! Get ready for summer.

Can not make sense of your rambling. Forgive me if you have a language barrier or are high on something.
I don’t understand how the moderator could o.k this.

I never thought I’d be happy a rumour about Sheila coming back might be true, but then again if she can get rid of Quinn, it might be worth it. Hopefully, she can work her magic and I think it would be like the fox and the hen.

Can someone explain the ridiculous outfits that they are all wearing???
I lived in LA for almost two decades and nobody wore anything like these.
And especially for a show that is based on fashion and design.
It’s ridiculous!

You know, I’ve thought the same thing many times, especially Flo before she joined Forrester. Gosh, what a mess she was.

It makes it very difficult to watch. They have such a platform for chic attire yet they continue to put them in awful outfits – so much so that I can’t even watch the dialogue.

Zoe with the pink dragon dress
Her sister with the gaudy earrings and cheese skirts
Brooke in the white with that lame gold belt

I don’t know how the actors actually allow them to be dressed in the horrific outfits.

Dont forget Hope in those cowgirl boots

The other Lis
I have been trying to, ha, ha.

Hi Margherita
Again I have to reply. The clothes these gals are wearing on this show are not to be believed. The older women, not too bad but the younger ones like Paris, Zoe and especially Flo are horrible. I hope they are made to wear them, because they wouldn’t pay me enough.

I KNOW Violet!!! They are so DISTRACTING!!! All of the patterns being on the same screen at the same time. It makes me dizzy!!! Maybe if one of the young cast wore something a bit more edgy (I mean crazy) then I could handle it, but when they are all in the same scene, it makes me nauseous (literally and figuratively).

Interesting to see the writers putting Carter and Quinn together. I am wondering how this sort of relationship plays out in the greater US. Carter is closer to the age of Quinn’s son. I know on daytime TV this might be more common, but I would think usually with the older man/younger woman combination, as with Eric and Quinn.

Oh, and then there’s the skin color difference. There’s that too.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Marlena Looks Back at 50 Years in Salem

Published

The June 22 episode of Days of Our Lives reminded us all of why Deidre Hall is iconic in the role of Dr. Marlena Evans. Here we are 50 years later, and Marlena is still the heroine of the long-running soap opera, and Deidre remains one of the most most recognizable names in the history of soaps.

To pay tribute, and to look back at the life and times of Marlena, the story starts with Marlena flipping through a photo album of her with John (the late Drake Hogestyn) over the years. As she misses him dearly, she gets a knock on the door and its none other than John’s son, Paul Narita (Christopher Sean).

With Andrew (Colton Little) in Salem working on a case, he sits down with Marlena, who says she can’t believe its been fifty years since she first arrived in Salem! Cue: Deidre’s first scenes on DAYS when she finds Mickey Horton (the late John Clarke) playing chess against himself inside the mental institution she worked.

THE FLASHBACKS OF MARLENA’S LIFE

From there, viewers definitely got the cliff notes version of the history of Marlena and entrenched within them, some of the biggest moments in Deidre’s enduring run.

Paul thinks he is looking at 70s, and early 80s Marlena while going through her scrapbook, but he is actually looking at her twin, Samantha (Andrea Hall)Cue: when Marlena confronted Samantha about impersonating her, and then later getting a call on her radio show from the Salem Strangler (Jack Coleman as Jake Kostichek) who killed Samantha thinking it was Marlena.

In the present, Belle (Martha Madison) has arrived at this time to meet up with Paul, unaware of this trip down memory lane. She wants to go over the findings in the chess board mystery Stefano willed to Marlena and John, in private with him, since Marlena previously said she wanted nothing to do with it.

Back to the history lesson, Marlena speaks highly of Don Craig and even though their marriage didn’t work out, she could find a path forward with the new love her life, Roman Brady. (Wayne Northrop however is never shown, possibly to keep the story focused on John as Roman for confusion sakes?)

Paul sees a photo of a young Carrie (Christie Clark) in the album and Marlena says she was such a godsend after losing her baby. In fact, Marlena says caring for Carrie prepared her for her having and raising her own twins, Eric and Sami. Cue: The twin visiting Marlena in the hospital.

JOHN AND MARLENA’S LOVE CONQUERED ALL

Then, in a way to get through and incorporate the wild storylines only Marlena could have been in, she tells Belle and Paul, she has been through so much in her life, how lucky she was to find John, and some of the most unbelievable experiences no one could imagine. Cue: Marlena possessed by the devil and levitating from the bed. Next, John confronting Marlena being the Salem Stalker, where she admits she killed Alice Horton, pretends she needs help, then pulls a gun on her beloved John!

The comment is made by Paul and Marlena, that she literally has been to hell and back and she could not have survived were it not for her beloved John. Cue the big emotional highpoint clips; The Pier Scene! Marlena steps out of the fog when John sees her from a distance. After believing she was dead for four years, here she was before him in one of the greatest reunions in a soap opera love story in history. What followed were other times of the life of times of Jarlena.

MARLENA’S ‘GIFT’ FROM STEFANO HAS A NEW CLUE

When Marlena makes a brief exit to the other room, Belle fills in Paul on the chess set Stefano left her mother and the photo of the Lire. Paul said he will investigate. Marlena comes back into the room and overhears, and says to promise her if things get dangerous he will back off, she does not want anyone hurt by Stefano’s games.

As the episode comes to a conclusion, it’s just Belle and Marlena going through the photo album giggling about 70s hairstyles and all the memories. Belle speaks on the impact Marlena has had in everyone’s lives, and that she is both the heart of their family and the heart of Salem.

An end card comes up acknowledging Deidre Hall’s 50th anniversary as Marlena, and we fade to black.

So, what did you think of Marlena’s walk down memory lane? Were you happy to see the flashback clips utilized throughout? Were you touched by the scenes and the performance of Deidre Hall? Let us know what you thought of Deidre’s 50th anniversary episode via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sidwell Surfaces; A Twist in Britt’s Condition

Published

By

On the Thursday, June 18 episode of General Hospital, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) makes his shocking return right in Port Charles, after fleeing (thanks to Cassius) to supposedly parts unknown to escape capture for trying to kill Dr. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis).

How does he show up in town? First, Ezra (Daniel Cosgrove) gets a text from Jacinda (Paige Herschell) to meet in his hotel room. Ezra thinks the two are going to have a sexcapade so he puts champagne on ice for his favorite escort.

Suddenly, there is a knock at the door. Ezra’s excitement turns towards fear as instead of Jacinda, Sidwell is standing in front of him. Next, Sidwell blackmails Boyle telling him he has plenty of leverage he can use against him. Sidwell wants to use Ezra to help him takedown, Sonny (Maurice Benard), Lucas, Laura (Genie Francis) and Cullum.

ARE SIDWELL’S DAYS NUMBERED?

Meanwhile, Sonny confides in his brother, Ric (Rick Hearst). He says he knows who killed Marco an he is going to use that intel to lure Sidwell out of hiding.  Sonny also shares he is going to kill Sidwell, and handle this by himself. He gave the PCPD a chance, but they failed to nab Sidwell for good and lock him up.

Sonny also has been tracking the whereabouts of Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Rocco (Finn Carr) through Brick, and learned they took a flight to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and then boarded a fairy to take them somewhere off the island.

BRITT’S ‘SYMPTOMS’ RETURN

Turns out, Britt and Rocco are hiding out in the British Virgin Islands. Britt set up Rocco with a burner phone and a VPN on her tablet, that is not traceable. Rocco reads on the tablet about Lucas’ shooting. Britt starts to have the shakes and passes out. When she comes to, Britt won’t let Rocco call a doctor, but he uses his phone to step on the balcony and call Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) and ask for help. Charlotte looks shocked to hear from her brother as Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) looks on!

However, Joe (Jonathan Bennett) could be the one to put two and two together! While at General Hospital and after questioning Lucas about a syringe he found that was in someone’s possession. the toxicology report showed traces of saline solution, not actual medication. He asks Dr. Jones, why someone would inject themselves with saline? Lucas responds saline is harmless and would have no effect on someone.

So, does this mean that this entire time, Britt has been led to believe that the medication she was taking to treat her Huntington’s disease was placebo? Has Britt been lied to into believing she is dying? Is something else wrong with her instead?

Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section below, and if you are ready for Sidwell to finally get his comeuppance from Sonny! But first, watch the scenes where Sidwell comes out of hiding and blackmails Ezra Boyle.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Dante and ‘Nathan’ Have It Out, Valentin and Carly Share Passionate Moments Which May Be Their Last

Published

on

By

On the June 16 episode of General Hospital, the PCPD under acting police commissioner Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is in a bit of mess and does not go unnoticed by ADA Turner (Nazneen Contractor).

First, there is the whole Chase (Josh Swickard) defending Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) over Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), who he arrested for allegedly tossing Willow in the waters next to the Quartermaine boathouse. Turner has had it with Chase’s good guy act and how he tampered with evidence in her case against Willow for shooting Drew.

Later, Dante and Justine question “Nathan” (Ryan Paevey) about Sidwell’s escape while in his custody. Turner is not buying his cover story that he was ambushed by Sidwell and his men. Once “Nathan” left the interrogation room, Turner went in on Dante about having “Nathan” on the force after seven years away, and Chase she views as a “dirty cop.”

However, Dante defends both of his officers, but Justine warned that “Nathan” and Chase’s behavior would reflect poorly on Dante as commissioner and she should really think about that. Later, Dante has a terse confrontation with “Nathan” on how he botched a prison transport and that he better watch his back as Justine is one step away from turning this over to Internal Affairs.

COP MADNESS

Next, “Nathan” apologizes for the way he handled the situation with Rocco and says he feels badly. But then in the twist, Dante said that he was grateful that “Nathan” had been there for his son in his time of need (referencing after Rocco shot Cullum and covered it up).

Then, there’s the newest police officer in the precinct, Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett). He may actually be on to “Nathan’s” double life when he questions him about a syringe found in Britt’s room at Bobbie’s. “Nathan” made up a story to counter Joe’s, that he was not aware that his sister was taking anything for her Huntington’s disease diagnosis. Joe called the forensic department lab wanting to know what drug was exactly in the syringe.

BEFORE YOU GO

At Carly’s (Laura Wright), Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) tells her that he must travel to Geneva to speak to the head of the WSB, named Z. Valentin feels it’s the only way to save Josslyn if he informs Z about Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) being a double agent. Valentin shares with Carly that he has to stop Cullum from bringing his dangerous cold fusion device online. Carly is beside herself. She doesn’t want Valentin to sacrifice himself by turning himself into the organization who has made him a fugitive in the first place. Valentin stands firm that he must meet Z in person.

Knowing that revealing himself to the WSB meant he was likely going back to prison, Valentin asked Carly if she’d get in touch with his daughter, Charlotte so he could say good-bye to her. Next, Carly and Valentin make their way to the bedroom to make love, which may be for the very last time, if Valentin is caught and put back in Steinmauer Maximum Security Prison.

Courtesy/ABC

CAUGHT BY CULLUM

At the same time while at Wydemere, Cullum is talking with one of his WSB operatives. Now, he is pondering if Valentin and Sidwell were working together all along.  Next, Cullum entertains the idea of involving the FBI to locate Britt and Rocco. He says he plans to kill them both once he knows of their whereabouts. Cullum sees the only other threat to the completion of the cold fusion project to be Anna Devane.

Cullum wants to track the location of the unidentified person who called the private clinic in France trying to get in touch with Anna, while pretending to be Kevin Collins. When the agent came back with a report, he says it emanated from a cell tower near Shoreline Road. It’s in the that moment that a light bulb goes on for Cullum! Valentin is in Port Charles and hiding at Carly’s!

So, what do you think of the PCPD cops, Chase, Joe and “Nathan?” Who should Dante fire? Do you think Valentin will go the run?Are you digging Carly and Valentin’s relationship and want it to continue, especially with Finola Hughes on her way back as Anna next month on-screen? Weigh-in via the comment section, and in case you missed it, you can check out our latest interview with Dominic Zamprogna below from his appearance on the Michael Fairman Channel, where he talks the PCPD cops, Rocco on the run, and more.
