The Bold and the Beautiful’s Eric Forrester to Throw Family Gala as He Gets Closer to His Imminent Demise
Viewers of The Bold and the Beautiful have been wondering if an eleventh hour reprieve will save the life of the patriarch of the Forrester fashion dynasty, Eric Forrester.
This has also raised concerns that Daytime Emmy winner, John McCook (Eric), might be exiting the show as one of the only two original cast members – the other being Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke).
Now, McCook took to his Instagram to share an article that appears in the latest edition of TV Guide Magazine, which previews that Eric is going to throw a party for his family with the intent of saying goodbye to them, since he believes most of them are not aware that he is dying. Problem is, many of the family do know and are gut-punched, but haven’t let on to Eric that they know.

As previously announced, Winsor Harmon is set to return to B&B on December 5th to reprise his role as Thorne Forrester with Ashley Jones to follow on December 6th reprising her role as Dr. Bridget Forrester. Thorne and Bridget return to Los Angeles in anticipation of the family gala, not knowing what it’s truly all about. No airdate was given in the article, as to when the party episodes begin.
McCook shared to TV Guide,“There’s something wonderful about having these relationships that we have as actors on the show. It’s very special for us to all be in the room together.”

Back on October 30th, The Bold and the Beautiful’s supervising producer, Casey Kasprzyk, posted on X ,”Filming 10 shows this week, and let’s just say it’s going to be very emotional for everyone.” This was attached to a photo of Eric Forrester’s portrait over the Forrester mansion mantel. Could it be that these upcoming party episodes were what Casey was referring to?
One key point thus far, is that while the doctor has told Eric (and secretly Brooke and Ridge) that he only has a few months left to live, there has been no definitive diagnosis that has been given for what ails Eric to the audience. We know he is coughing up blood and having tremors. The doctor had revealed to Eric and Donna that Eric was having TIA’s (transient ischemic attack, AKA mini-strokes) but it was part of a bigger picture that he was trying to get to the bottom of.
So, with all that said, and with this heartbreaking ‘goodbye’ party that Eric is going to throw, do you really think he is going to die, or will a cure be found …. or misdiagnosis be revealed? Comment below.

I really hope Eric isn’t dying, because John McCook is the beating heart of B&B. However, if he does pass, I really hope the writers use it as an opportunity to bring ALL the Forrester children back into the fold. Thorne and Bridget’s returns are welcome, but Felicia, Kristen and Rick have been MIA for years with no explanation. There are endless storyline possibilities if the show focused on the Forresters instead of it being all about Ridge, Brooke, Liam, Hope & Steffy all the time.
Thorne and Rick could team up to take over as heads of Forrester, and the rivalry between them and Ridge could be reignited.
Kristen and Zende can go off and start their own rival fashion house (and even bring a few Spectra’s with them!) since he has been sidelined in recent months.
Felicia could be paired with Bill, who is in desperate need of a new story and love interest. She could also bring her son Dino with her to buff up the younger set and create a love triangle with R.J. and Luna.
Meanwhile, Bridget could return to the hospital where she and Finn could start getting close, causing drama between her and Steffy.
There are so many possibilities if B&B were actually invested in writing for the trove of characters it has waiting on the sidelines for meaty material. If only…
I think exactly like you and have written this before. For my part, I would like Eric to die in order to relaunch the soap which has lost all its interest with Steffy, Hope and Liam. Let the Forresters: Felicia, Kristen and Rick come back to the forefront. He plays an essential role in the soap as the son of Brooke and Eric and rival of Ridge! Felicia & Bill would make a very beautiful couple! Zende needs his mother’s support. I wish Bridget would finally have an explanation with Deacon after all these years. That would be so much more interesting than Liam’s constant whining! With Roger Howarth’s departure from General Hospital, the actor could be hired to play Zack Hamilton (Taylor’s brother) or Connor Davies.
I agree can’t stand Liam with his constant whining and going from Steffy to Hope, Hope and Thomas make a good couple as do Steffy and Finn kick Liam to the kerb no part for him play.
How about Bridget & Bill?
Am looking forward to seeing Bridget and Thorne again. So sick of Ridge and Brooke lately and now with Zende causing trouble because of his jealousy for RJ. You could tell today that he’s going after his girlfriend, just hope she doesn’t fall for his crap. Also, what’s with Finn? He’s a Dr. Isn’t he, so why isn’t he stepping up to see if he can help Eric?
Brad Bell still the biggest joke in the soap world! KKL still trying to learn how to act after years and Thorsten Kaye ugh! KA a kick in the pants playing Taylor and he abused her now another long lost child of Don Diamont ugh
How Brad keeps up the fallacy of a show based on fashion in LA without one gay character remains quite unbelievable.

‘General Hospital’ Fall 2026 Preview: Unexpected Arrivals and Romance; Sonny and Drew at War, What Happened to Jack?

General Hospital’s co-head writers, Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte have given the ABC daytime drama’s fall preview of what to look for in the months ahead in Port Charles.
According to the scribes, as told to TV Insider, “Unexpected arrivals, unexpected romance and unexpected connections,” are the order of the season, plus, “secrets are going to be exposed that will upend lives for better and worse — and new secrets will need to be kept.”
In the relationship department, don’t expect everything to go the way you may think! Let’s take a look at some of the highlights that point to some major moments in the near future on GH.

Photo: ABC
ROMEO AND JULIET
“The conflict between Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) will continue to build with potentially fatal consequences,” shared the head writers as Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) and Rocco’s (Finn Carr) relationship gets more solid, the more it will be tried to be pulled apart, especially by Drew. This is what they are calling their “Romeo and Juliet” young love story.
BURYING JACK BRENNAN
Nina (Cynthia Watros) will be in the hot seat, thanks to evidence planted by Drew and Carly (Laura Wright) overhearing her threatening the MIA Jack. According to the GH head writers, “Nina may face a dark future — but perhaps not as dark a future as those who seek her downfall.” Meanwhile Ava (Maura West) and Drew’s unholy alliance will have “repercussions for years to come.” Let’s not forget they buried Jack’s body.
JASON AND BRITT MAY NOT LAST
Those who wanted Jason (Steve Burton) and Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) romance to come to an end, may get their wish! As the head scribes shared, “Decisions Britt made to stay alive while under (Ross) Cullum’s thumb will come back to haunt her and may prove too difficult for this unlikely couple to survive.”

Photo: ABC
ANNA’S BREAKING POINT AND CAN VALENTIN STAY AWAY ?
As for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), who Jason is trying to save and who has lost her way (thanks to visions of Peter August) and being gaslighted by Cullum and company, it will, “lead to her breaking point and may lead another person to an early grave.” On that note, Carly and Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) relationship is tested after his attempt to buy back Spoon Island. Only problem is someone else got their first, and it may be hard for Valentin to deny his feelings for Anna aren’t greater than he thinks.

BROOK LYNN’S LIFE AS SHE KNOWS IT BLOWS UP IN HER FACE
The writers added, “Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) face a turning point. Her secret may finally unravel their marriage; worse, it may leave the family vulnerable when someone comes calling with a claim on Phoebe.” Will Chase now hop between the sheets with his ex Willow? And, will Hudson (Troy Lennon Appel) stake his claim to be the father of the little Phoebe? How can Brook Lynn’s life as she knows it survive this?
TRINA’S STALKER … WHO IS IT?
Does Trina (Tabyana Ali) have a stalker … or a true number one genuine fan? Whatever the case, something ominous is going to happen to Kai (Jen Austin Astrup), when the GH writers shared, “Kai is true blue and will step up to defend Trina— but his closeness to Trina may prove detrimental to his health.” In addition, the stalker situation pairs up Emma (Braedyn Bruner) and Trina to try get to the bottom of who is behind it, but in doing so, may have put a target on Emma’s back.

‘BLOODY’ SITUATION WHERE JOSSLYN IS CONCERNED
Josslyn Eden McCoy) gets new orders from the WSB after Brennan goes missing, and things may get “bloody” report the writers. They add, “Joss has her sights set on Sonny — but she’s a target, too. JJE is a big prize, and she isn’t the only one entitled to it.” Who else could be?

Photo: ABC
PAST ROMANCE FOR ALEXIS COMES BACK AROUND
Could Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Ric (Rick Hearst) find themselves in each other’s arms? According to the GH head writers, “A past romance will rear its head in a surprising way,” for Alexis. Who else could it be if not Ric, who may feel jilted by Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) if she and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) get any closer? Might it be the return of Jerry Jacks?
MICHAEL AND JORDAN BECOME CLOSE
Michael (Rory Gibson) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) will develop a “special bond” while working together at Aurora and while Curtis (Donnell Turner) is away in prison. However, “a face from Jordan’s past will complicate her future. We’ll start to learn more about the woman Jordan was before she ever joined the DEA and came to Port Charles.” Is this William Baines (Alimi Ballard) or someone else yet to arrive? Stay tuned.
