THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL Shocker: Liam Collapses! Did Scott Clifton Just Deliver What Would Be His Fourth Daytime Emmy-Winning Performance?
Leave it to The Bold and the Beautiful to just when you think nothing new might happen, it delivers a surprise that no one saw coming. That was the case on the Thursday, April 3rd episode of the CBS daytime drama series.
In what often happens in soaps when a major confrontation has disastrous or life-changing ramifications for one of the characters, B&B followed suit in a very dramatic way in the father/son showdown between Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and his son, Liam (Scott Clifton). The two threw everything but the kitchen sink at each other, dredging up their history with Bill scoring some really low blows on Liam throughout.
Liam is beyond upset to learn that Bill housed the lunatic Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada), the woman who tried to kill Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and murdered two people. He quit his job at Spencer Publications over it, and when Dollar Bill threatens to take away his trust fund, Liam doesn’t care, he tells him to “Liquidate it!” Liam says he never wanted Bill’s money. He’d wanted a dad that he could love, but this latest stunt has given him great pause.

Bill needles Liam, “You can’t make it without me.” Liam is stunned by Bill’s action and says, “Do you want to know why I can’t relate to you? It’s because you’re certifiable!” Bill is pissed off and retaliates with, “Do you know who you’re talking to?” Bill screams at Liam that Steffy and Kelly aren’t in any danger because of Luna!
Liam is confused as to what Luna did to Bill to convince him to abandon every principle he’s ever stood for, but that’s because he won’t talk to him. “This is the part where you say, ‘Don’t go, Liam.’ Why can’t you say that?” When Bill doesn’t, it is gut-wrenching for Liam. At one point, Liam gets close to whatever Bill is harboring since he was a child that made him into the man he is today, but Bill close to tears clams up.

When Liam points out that his other two sons have left him – Wyatt left town, and Will (Crew Morrow) went to live with his mother, he still stuck around to earn his respect and for what? Liam says, “I wanted to love you! I wanted to know you, and you won’t let me.”
Bill is sick of Liam’s “Woe is me” attitude all the time and goes in on him that saying, “If you want to leave the company, leave! And don’t come crawling back. Do you understand me?” During the fight, Bill also through in Liam’s face the countless times that he went back and forth between Steffy and Hope (Annika Noelle) and called him, “Mr. Waffle Man.”

An infuriated Bill tells his son that he wants him gone when he gets back as he is late for for a meeting and walks to the front door to leave as Liam suddenly has blurred vision and collapses. However, on the way down to the floor, Liam hits his head on the coffee table!
The episode featured what we now call a, “Scott Clifton special!” Because, if you have watched through the years when Scott delivered one of his three Emmy-winning performances, they contained these very high stakes scenes which have been similar in nature under a completely different set of circumstances. Clifton is the only male actor to win in the Lead, Supporting and Younger Daytime Emmy categories. It should be noted that Don Diamont also delivered as Dollar Bill in these heavyweight scenes between father and son. Could Emmy come to either man in the 2026 competition? Stay tuned.
However, the bigger question is, what is the purpose of Liam going down for the count and bonking his head on the table on the way down? Did Luna drug Liam, as a masterplan to get Steffy away from Finn and back with Liam when she realizes Liam is in dire straits? Will Liam once again as he did years ago have amnesia, (remember Adam?). Could Liam have suffered a stroke and will be unable to take care of himself, or is this the end of the line for Scott Clifton’s character of Liam? Weigh-in on your theories via the comment section. But first, check out a moment from the showdown between Liam and Bill below.
Scott Clifton is a great actor the only decent one left the show needs him and personally something is wrong with Bill but the writers have not figured out yet what it’s going to be. Ugh
It’s time to reunite Hope and Liam and let Hope take care of him. Steffy and Finn aren’t going anywhere and anyone that thinks Liam and Steffy will reunite are just falling into Bells trap
Not hope she’s nothing.
Scott Clifton is an exceptional actor & I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets nominated next year. Mind you, I haven’t watched #Bold since Brad unceremoniously fired Krista Allen as Taylor and I will never tune into the show ever again.
I agree KA got a raw deal for sure I think their was jealousy on the set KA did a great job and got a Emmy nomination I personally think actors were jealous and so Brad kicked her to the curb and then later tried to put knife in deeper by recasting again and this actress just does not fit the Taylor role.
Let’s hope Liam ends up unable to speak anymore
That’s a rotten thing to say! Tell me you are using a phony name, sure sounds like one
I don’t know what is going on with Bill, but he is not acting like himself. Does he have an evil twin? Is there gas pumping into the house affecting people. It was all very odd. Hopefully we find out today.
If Bill is stupid enough to let Scott go, Frank needs to open the purse strings and bring him home to GH.
Oh please let him go I will be the biggest b and b fan if they let him go
Scott always pull out all the stop when he gets the opportunity. He and Don Diamont always have great scenes together. Congratulations to Scott though for providing us with another great episodes.
I like Liam . Hope he’s not off show . But pray he doesn’t go back with hope. If he’s still here.
I eant Hope n Liam back together there were n will always be my favorite couple
Sounds like an exciting turn but we all know B&B will do something stupid with it, even if it is forgetting it in 13 weeks. B&B has really ruined the character of Bill Spencer with his protection of Luna. It was bad enough to seem him romance Sheila though it was part of a trick to trap her. And then writers allowed Sheila and Luna to continue evasion of the law… for heinous acts. I have not watched the show for some time now, but am happy to see Liam stand up to his father. Scott Clifton is a great actor. So is Don Diamont. Wish they had better material. Liam Spencer is Mr. Waffle Man. But Bill Spencer is not even good nasty. His chasing of Steffy always rubbed me the wrong way.
Well, his chasing after Brooke as “her Stallian” was even worse. So Liam Waffles, better than the guy his father thinks he should emulate. Also, something happened to Liam, maybe a Stroke, before he ever hit the L.R floor and than the ground, when he stumbled outside. They are acting like he just got injured.
This is just another restart of the Hope – Liam- Steffy triangle, with Finn thrown in. BB loves triangles, no matter how tired they are.
I can see both actors being applauded for their performances but Bill acting more like the -ick he is ( fill in your own word here),than a dad , I can’t see him getting a reward for that! Liam may be a Waffler, but he’s got heart and what Bll just did, getting that bitch out of prison is insane to say the least. Now that puts Sheila into play again, causing trouble, which is her specialty. They just reawakend a time bomb.
Scott earned that Emmy congratulations Scott and congratulations everyone who won everyone

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL: Has Dylan’s Mystery Caller/Stalker Been Revealed to Be an Alive Luna Nozawa?
We have another scream machine on her hands at The Bold and the Beautiful after the dramatic ending of the May 1 episode, and that would be Dylan (Sydney Bullock)!
B&B is finally making some headway on just who was the person behind the mystery call that Dylan received telling her they have some “unfinished business.” At the time of the mysterious call, it was clear that the voice was altered to disguise the true identify of the person on the the other line.
On today’s show, after Dylan and Electra (Laneya Grace) exchange words in the wardrobe room about Dylan wanting to rebuild their trust and friendship and how Electra has issues stemming from way back trusting anyone after what Remy (Christian Weissmanm) did to her by befriending her and then plastering deep fake nude photos of her across social media.

Photo: JPI
The timing of Electra bringing up Remy is also interesting to us, as we had previously reported now that Christian Weissmann is back and on on contract with The Bold and the Beautiful, he’s already teased that Remy has another connection to someone on the canvas, which many are still believing its Dylan.
At the end of the episode, after Electra leaves the room, Dylan hears noises coming from behind the dress rack. She asks, “Jamie” is that with you? After no answer and a bit more hangar and dress ruffling, a figure steps out behind it, while Dylan is looking down at her tablet trying to get back to work.
When Dylan looks up, she lets out a scream that could be heard to Nebraska, as viewers see partial view of what looks to be a woman with long dark hair from the back. Dylan in shock, says, “It’s you!” We fade to black.
So, what’s going on here? Is the reason the caller said to her that we have “unfinished business” because on Monday, it will be revealed to actually be an alive and well, Luna (Lisa Yamada)? Did the two strikes some sort of deal, that allowed Dylan to help Luna escape after Luna supposedly died after Dylan ran her down with her car, which was all off-screen? Another theory, is the mystery caller is Remy and he is doing some sort of Luna fakeout on Dylan for a yet to be revealed reason.
What do you think is going on? Did Lisa Yamada just make an on-screen return to The Bold and the Beautiful? Share your thoughts and theories below, but first check out our recent interview from back in March on the Michael Fairman Channel when Lisa who attended the BBTV app launch party.

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS: Nick Confesses His Drug Problem to Victor; Joshua Morrow, Mark Grossman, Eric Braeden Bring the Newman Bond
When The Young and the Restless can deliver an emotional side to their stories and their family dynamics, it usually makes for some great scenes delivered by their A-list cast.
Such was the case on the Friday, May 1 episode when Adam (Mark Grossman) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) returned to Genoa City and gave their father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), an update on what had gone down with Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) in Las Vegas.
As Victor questioned, “What the hell happened?” Nick piped up, “We both made mistakes along the way, but we’re here now and we’re sorry for giving you so much worry on top of everything else that you’re dealing with,” which was in reference to Victor trying to reclaim his company Newman Enterprises et al.

NICK’S CONFESSION
Next, Nick, explains one of the ways he messed up while trying to go after Matt Clark, when he admitted to this father with tears in his eyes, “That’s one of the ways I messed up … I took Fentanyl willingly. Some of it was because of Matt, but most of it was on me. I was in a lot of pain, dad, after my accident, I was burning through my prescription meds really quickly after I left the hospital. I could see that it was becoming a problem. But honestly, I thought that I could manage it. I was wrong. I was out in LA and Matt had taken Noah (Lucas Adams) and Sienna (Tamara Braun) and he gave me this bag of pills and said I could use it to trade for information. When I went out to that drug warehouse, he was trying to convince me and Sharon (Sharon Case) that Noah was a drug addict. I just put the pills in my pocket of my jacket and I came back to Genoa City and I was in a lot of pain, dad, and I was wearing that jacket. I put my hands in the pocket and the pills were there.”
Nick sadly added, “I was desperate. I couldn’t get anymore prescription meds, so I took the fentanyl I’m deeply ashamed that I was so weak, but all I can do is stand here and tell you the truth that I’m going to make this right and I’ll get better.”
BROTHER TO BROTHER
Adam stood up for his brother and reconfirmed to Victor the plan for help Nick through his pill addiction, “Nick is already on his way to doing that. Sharon has set up an appointment with an outpatient facility. He’s going to do the meetings and he’s going to push through this better than ever.”

Courtesy/CBS
“You should also know that the only reason I’m standing here is because of Adam,” Nick confessed to Victor. “Every time I fell, you were there to pick me up. You risked your life to save me, and that’s not something I will ever forget.”
In the climatic and emotional ending of the scene, Nick in tears admits his shame to his dad, who comes in to give him hug. Nick says, “I’m so sorry. I know that this is the last thing you or this family needs.”
All three actors, Joshua Morrow, Mark Grossman and Eric Braeden, were excellent in this exchange in their scenes, but at its epicenter continues to be the Emmy-worthy performances by Y&R MVP, Joshua Morrow. Nick’s heartbreaking journey and fall from grace with his pill addiction problem has finally shown the clinks in the armor of the man who is always on the ready to help others … now he needs to let others help him through this. Can we do it?
So, what did you think of the scenes between the Newman man featuring Joshua, Mark and Eric on the Friday episode of Y&R? And though who watched also know that at the very end, Matt Clark who clearly has been injured wakes up from being conked out, so there is more revenge to come on the Newman clan. Share your thoughts below, but take a look at these scenes from a Canadian viewers who saw them air yesterday.

Days Of Our Lives
DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Sophia Seemingly Plans to End Her Life, But Not Before Setting Fire to Johnny’s Apartment With Him Trapped Inside
The final few moments of the Thursday, April 30 episode of Days of our Lives, will pave the way, to what just may be the end of Sophia Choi’s (Rachel Boyd) life, but not as you may think!
After an unhinged Sophia paid a visit to Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), maced him in the eyes, knocked him out and then tied up to a chair, now conscious, she lets him know that she holds him responsible for all the trouble and trauma she has gone through from adopting her child, and her being sent to a mental institution.
So instead of the unregistered gun Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) gave her to finish off Johnny, Sophia sets up a plan to light candle, use nail polish remover and turn on the gas on the stove to ultimately create a mass explosion, which although Johnny pleaded to her not to that to all the innocent people inside his apartment building, she doesn’t seem to care.

FIERY FACE OFF
The plan was supposed to be, after she takes care of Johnny she will toss the gun in the Salem River, then focus on payback to Holly Jonas before leaving town to start a new life.
Now, Sophia makes her exit, leaving Johnny to be a few moments away from an explosion or gas inhalation, when Chanel (Raven Bowens) comes home after awaiting the results of her mammogram. She sees Johnny tied up, as he panics and tells her to put out the flame on the candle, things go awry, and a fire has begun and everything may go up in flames with Johnny and Chanel inside.

A BROKEN SOPHIA
Back in her room, Sophia breaks down after reading the social media comments about her, she planted, and then starts writing a suicide or farewell note which says. “I’m tired of begging for forgiveness for my mistakes. All I wanted was to move forward, to be loved and understood. But it’s clear that I was never going to get that. Holly Jonas said that I was dead to her. So, as her former BFF, I’m going to make her dream a reality.”

A DEADLY TRAP
Now, the fate of Johnny, Chanel and Sophia will be revealed on tomorrow’s May 1st cliffhanger, which may be the end of Sophia when she crosses paths with Kirsten at the bridge near the river. We do know Rachel Boyd is no longer appearing in the show credits section and is now off contract with the soap.
So, what did you think of the climatic final moments of DAYS? What did you think of the performance of Rachel Boyd as Sophia Choi? Let us know via the comment section.
