THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL: Sheila and Bill are in Cahoots as History Comes Back to Bite Steffy

In the pick-up from Tuesday’s episode which saw Bill (Don Diamont) show up at the beach house where Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) was being tied-up by her son, Finn (Tanner Novlan ) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Wednesday’s episode brought ‘crazy out of nowhere’ to new heights on The Bold and the Beautiful.

As had been predicted, Dollar Bill has gone back to the dark side and apparently aligned himself with Sheila Carter!  In story, when Steffy sees Bill she asks him to help them with Sheila.  Bill tells them there is no reason to tie Sheila up and that no one will call the police because everyone deserves a second chance and so does Sheila.  Steffy cannot believe what she is witnessing or hearing.  The actual best parts of these scenes were all of the reaction shots of Jacqueline MacInnes Wood as Steffy including almost throwing up realizing what was going on!

Courtesy/CBS

Bill goes on to explain that Katie (Heather Tom) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) all turn their backs on him, don’t want anything to do with him, and it all started with Steffy’s rejection of him. He adds that no one cares about him, and Sheila knows exactly what that feels like. He then adds that Sheila has become a part of his life now!

A flabbergasted Finn reminds Bill that he helped his mother, Li (Naomi Matsuda) rescue him from Sheila and flew him to Monte Carlo to reunite with Steffy. How is it possible that he is now teaming up with Sheila?  Bill says he’s here tonight to make sure Sheila remains free.  A stunned Steffy thinks Bill has absolutely lost his mind.

Finn gets his his cell phone to call the police.  Bill tells him he is not going to place that call and how could Finn live with himself putting his own mother behind bars?

Bill says he’s behaved so badly and caused so much hurt for the women in his life. Just then, Sheila puts her head on his shoulder. Bill says he’s moving on with someone he can’t hurt.  Steffy losses it even more!

Steffy shows Finn’s scar of where Sheila shot him.  But in a game of tit for tat, Bill and Sheila had a plan,  Sheila tells Bill to ‘turn’ she then lifts his shirt to reveal the scar from a gunshot wound. Steffy knows what that is from.  Sheila know is armed with the truth, because Bill told her, that Taylor shot him several years ago and he never turned her in. Bill says If Steffy and Finn go to the police, he will turn Steffy’s mother in for shooting him.  Of course, all of this happened before Finn was even in the picture, so he’s trying to figure out what everyone is talking about!  He doesn’t know how Steffy and Bill had an affair after Liam (Scott Clifton) made out with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and then later, how Taylor shot the guy! Stay tuned.

Watch the big reveal and how B&B plans to keep Sheila out of jail so she can cause more trouble for Steffy, Finn and company below.

Then let us know, do you like the twisted heel turn for Bill Spencer? Can you buy-in to this story? Do you think down the line it could be revealed he did this to keep Sheila in tow, since he believes she will always stay one step ahead of the law even if she wound up in prison? We have now entered into Bizarro World! No words!!

Dec 16th episode begging Katie / Dec 28th he is Sheila’s sweetheart ! Total trash I am done and pray they cancel this crap

Interesting use of history (I’ll take the attempt), but Beth and Kelly are his granddaughters. No matter how hurt he is over Brooke/Katie, I can’t imagine he’d even allow for the *possibility* that his grandchildren would be Sheila’s victims. But maybe that’s the angle: he’s doing it for them more than himself.

How are they going to dig $Bill out of this mess? Steffy looks so hurt that he would do this. Bill turning on Steffy for Sheila is breaking my heart.

He’s got to be like a doppelganger and or robot. That is s not the Bill Spencer we know.

I missed watching this show because the power was out in my area. After reading MF’s summary I’m turning the power off on B&B. And Carly on GH. Plus I’m tired of all the guns and shootings on the soaps. And not just gangsters like Sonny. This includes Ava carrying her’s in her purse. What wrong with this country and it’s guns. Sick.

rose,
These are soaps, try not getting them mixed up with real life where there are worse things I don’t even want to list that are worse than ” guns and shootings”. There are also worse people on GH that are a lot worse than ” gangster Sonny”. How about his punk son Michael willing to see his father behind bars because he left his Mommy Dearest, that’s the main reason. It sure didn’t bother him all these years the way he made a living that provided everything he’s got now. Michael just makes me sick, he sees Willow dying right in front of his eyes and all he can think of is sticking it to Sonny. I want to see him suffer too but not at Willow’s expense. Sorry for the rant, Happy New Year!

Violet…I watch soaps to get away from a lot of real life. You know that old saying…romance in the afternoon. They are soooo far from that now, and the stories and characters we used to like and watch. No wonder there is viewer increase in Hallmark like shows.

rose
That was my escape years ago when married and raising a family. The Soaps which ran all day, saved my life, taking my mind off of my own unhappiness, so I know of where you speak. Sorry, the Hallmark stuff I just can’t stomach, see one you see them all.

Violet…I am sorry to hear those years were so unhappy for you. You are a survivor in more ways than one. It would be interesting to sit and have a cup of tea with each other, to compare notes, cry a little, laugh a little. As for Hallmark, if you knew my background and interests, I’d be the last person you would think would have watched H. To be quite frank, much of the new stuff is wearing on me. So I don’t watch as much. I pick and chose. But some of it in the beginning was fresh and new, and I needed it at the time. So let’s all click our glasses, and have a nice New Years. Rose

rose
Thanks for responding and I like the idea of the “tea party” but being so much older you probably would find me boring but yes, let’s raise our glasses, I do love Champagne ounce in a while, even at 90! A very happy and healthy New Year to you also.

THIS was the jolt Sheila’s story needed. I couldn’t see a way she could get out of the mess she’s in unless she went into hiding, but connecting Sheila and Bill is pure genius. Bill is at his best when he turns to the dark side, and the plot point of Taylor shooting Bill all those years ago has been completely forgotten until now.

This has actually been one of my biggest complaints since Krista Allen took over the role of Taylor… there has been zero mention of her “recovery” and past misdeeds. Now, it seems B&B is ready to revisit that story, and in a fantastic way. And it’s all the better that Finn is clueless about both the shooting and the affair, as it adds to the drama.

As for Bill, I just hope there’s an added layer to all of this that we’re unaware of, because it seems rather drastic to go from being rejected by Brooke and Katie to aligning himself with Sheila… I’d love some flashback scenes of how Bill and Sheila connected in the first place, and I can’t wait to see Deacon’s response to all of this!

Agreed!

Jimmy
I agree with a lot you’ve said. Bill just made me sick with all his carrying on about no one wanting him, my God what sane woman would? I was encouraged by Bill’s coming to Finn’s mother’s rescue but TPTB decided to go this way instead. Deacon looks like he’ll become a restaurateur in the future, it will be interesting to see who that will attract. Happy New Year Sir!

What a surprise when $Bill came to the door to rescue Sheila. Probably the only way to write her out of hiding. At least they had a previous storyline to fall back on. The show is getting very dark now unlike the nice Christmas episode. Brad has a great writing team and cast! Happy New Year to B&B and CBS Daytime. Expect No. 1 status soon—only 300k viewers away.

Cib
Surprise is an understatement but now his son’s have evidence to take to the Police, ha, ha. They have got to get rid of Sheila soon. She is so good she literally turns my stomach with her evil smile.

is deacon playing a bill double

Put Brad bell down like a rabid dog

God, will this never end? Just let Sheila go out and jump off the cliff!

This is sick, I’m going to stop watching show until this crazy stuff with Sheila and Bill is over with.

Jean Williams
I want to do the same but you know what they say about a train wreck. I’ve never thought Bill is an imposter, we all know what a selfish, self- centered person he is. Why do people think he’s an imposter?

I actually stopped watching the bold and beautiful because of Brooke and Ridge. I don’t think they should be together. She actually stole Ridge from Taylor in the beginning. I don’t like whiney Brooke. She always has an excuse for any and everything she has done intentionally or not. It is Taylor’s time to try and make him happy. So until that time comes I’m done with this soap. Oh and Thomas…
really does things out of the goodness of his heart, messed up as he does things but the outcome is the same.

I’m also tired of seeing Nina and Sonny together. It makes me sick.
Another soap I won’t be watching anymore

I need some long time viewers for this. I either wasn’t watching at that time or just don’t remember. I was watching some old videos and it was showing Stephanie and Eric getting remarried. I guess there was an involvement with Lauren Fenmore at the time and as the Pastor was reading the vows he found a photo of Eric and Lauren, in his Bible ,naked in bed. Lauren swore she didn’t do it and I believe her. Does anyone know who put that photo in the bible? Would appreciate an answer.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Marlena Looks Back at 50 Years in Salem

Published

on

By

The June 22 episode of Days of Our Lives reminded us all of why Deidre Hall is iconic in the role of Dr. Marlena Evans. Here we are 50 years later, and Marlena is still the heroine of the long-running soap opera, and Deidre remains one of the most most recognizable names in the history of soaps.

To pay tribute, and to look back at the life and times of Marlena, the story starts with Marlena flipping through a photo album of her with John (the late Drake Hogestyn) over the years. As she misses him dearly, she gets a knock on the door and its none other than John’s son, Paul Narita (Christopher Sean).

With Andrew (Colton Little) in Salem working on a case, he sits down with Marlena, who says she can’t believe its been fifty years since she first arrived in Salem! Cue: Deidre’s first scenes on DAYS when she finds Mickey Horton (the late John Clarke) playing chess against himself inside the mental institution she worked.

THE FLASHBACKS OF MARLENA’S LIFE

From there, viewers definitely got the cliff notes version of the history of Marlena and entrenched within them, some of the biggest moments in Deidre’s enduring run.

Paul thinks he is looking at 70s, and early 80s Marlena while going through her scrapbook, but he is actually looking at her twin, Samantha (Andrea Hall)Cue: when Marlena confronted Samantha about impersonating her, and then later getting a call on her radio show from the Salem Strangler (Jack Coleman as Jake Kostichek) who killed Samantha thinking it was Marlena.

In the present, Belle (Martha Madison) has arrived at this time to meet up with Paul, unaware of this trip down memory lane. She wants to go over the findings in the chess board mystery Stefano willed to Marlena and John, in private with him, since Marlena previously said she wanted nothing to do with it.

Back to the history lesson, Marlena speaks highly of Don Craig and even though their marriage didn’t work out, she could find a path forward with the new love her life, Roman Brady. (Wayne Northrop however is never shown, possibly to keep the story focused on John as Roman for confusion sakes?)

Paul sees a photo of a young Carrie (Christie Clark) in the album and Marlena says she was such a godsend after losing her baby. In fact, Marlena says caring for Carrie prepared her for her having and raising her own twins, Eric and Sami. Cue: The twin visiting Marlena in the hospital.

JOHN AND MARLENA’S LOVE CONQUERED ALL

Then, in a way to get through and incorporate the wild storylines only Marlena could have been in, she tells Belle and Paul, she has been through so much in her life, how lucky she was to find John, and some of the most unbelievable experiences no one could imagine. Cue: Marlena possessed by the devil and levitating from the bed. Next, John confronting Marlena being the Salem Stalker, where she admits she killed Alice Horton, pretends she needs help, then pulls a gun on her beloved John!

The comment is made by Paul and Marlena, that she literally has been to hell and back and she could not have survived were it not for her beloved John. Cue the big emotional highpoint clips; The Pier Scene! Marlena steps out of the fog when John sees her from a distance. After believing she was dead for four years, here she was before him in one of the greatest reunions in a soap opera love story in history. What followed were other times of the life of times of Jarlena.

MARLENA’S ‘GIFT’ FROM STEFANO HAS A NEW CLUE

When Marlena makes a brief exit to the other room, Belle fills in Paul on the chess set Stefano left her mother and the photo of the Lire. Paul said he will investigate. Marlena comes back into the room and overhears, and says to promise her if things get dangerous he will back off, she does not want anyone hurt by Stefano’s games.

As the episode comes to a conclusion, it’s just Belle and Marlena going through the photo album giggling about 70s hairstyles and all the memories. Belle speaks on the impact Marlena has had in everyone’s lives, and that she is both the heart of their family and the heart of Salem.

An end card comes up acknowledging Deidre Hall’s 50th anniversary as Marlena, and we fade to black.

So, what did you think of Marlena’s walk down memory lane? Were you happy to see the flashback clips utilized throughout? Were you touched by the scenes and the performance of Deidre Hall? Let us know what you thought of Deidre’s 50th anniversary episode via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sidwell Surfaces; A Twist in Britt’s Condition

Published

on

By

On the Thursday, June 18 episode of General Hospital, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) makes his shocking return right in Port Charles, after fleeing (thanks to Cassius) to supposedly parts unknown to escape capture for trying to kill Dr. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis).

How does he show up in town? First, Ezra (Daniel Cosgrove) gets a text from Jacinda (Paige Herschell) to meet in his hotel room. Ezra thinks the two are going to have a sexcapade so he puts champagne on ice for his favorite escort.

Suddenly, there is a knock at the door. Ezra’s excitement turns towards fear as instead of Jacinda, Sidwell is standing in front of him. Next, Sidwell blackmails Boyle telling him he has plenty of leverage he can use against him. Sidwell wants to use Ezra to help him takedown, Sonny (Maurice Benard), Lucas, Laura (Genie Francis) and Cullum.

ARE SIDWELL’S DAYS NUMBERED?

Meanwhile, Sonny confides in his brother, Ric (Rick Hearst). He says he knows who killed Marco an he is going to use that intel to lure Sidwell out of hiding.  Sonny also shares he is going to kill Sidwell, and handle this by himself. He gave the PCPD a chance, but they failed to nab Sidwell for good and lock him up.

Sonny also has been tracking the whereabouts of Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Rocco (Finn Carr) through Brick, and learned they took a flight to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and then boarded a fairy to take them somewhere off the island.

BRITT’S ‘SYMPTOMS’ RETURN

Turns out, Britt and Rocco are hiding out in the British Virgin Islands. Britt set up Rocco with a burner phone and a VPN on her tablet, that is not traceable. Rocco reads on the tablet about Lucas’ shooting. Britt starts to have the shakes and passes out. When she comes to, Britt won’t let Rocco call a doctor, but he uses his phone to step on the balcony and call Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) and ask for help. Charlotte looks shocked to hear from her brother as Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) looks on!

However, Joe (Jonathan Bennett) could be the one to put two and two together! While at General Hospital and after questioning Lucas about a syringe he found that was in someone’s possession. the toxicology report showed traces of saline solution, not actual medication. He asks Dr. Jones, why someone would inject themselves with saline? Lucas responds saline is harmless and would have no effect on someone.

So, does this mean that this entire time, Britt has been led to believe that the medication she was taking to treat her Huntington’s disease was placebo? Has Britt been lied to into believing she is dying? Is something else wrong with her instead?

Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section below, and if you are ready for Sidwell to finally get his comeuppance from Sonny! But first, watch the scenes where Sidwell comes out of hiding and blackmails Ezra Boyle.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Dante and ‘Nathan’ Have It Out, Valentin and Carly Share Passionate Moments Which May Be Their Last

Published

on

By

On the June 16 episode of General Hospital, the PCPD under acting police commissioner Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is in a bit of mess and does not go unnoticed by ADA Turner (Nazneen Contractor).

First, there is the whole Chase (Josh Swickard) defending Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) over Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), who he arrested for allegedly tossing Willow in the waters next to the Quartermaine boathouse. Turner has had it with Chase’s good guy act and how he tampered with evidence in her case against Willow for shooting Drew.

Later, Dante and Justine question “Nathan” (Ryan Paevey) about Sidwell’s escape while in his custody. Turner is not buying his cover story that he was ambushed by Sidwell and his men. Once “Nathan” left the interrogation room, Turner went in on Dante about having “Nathan” on the force after seven years away, and Chase she views as a “dirty cop.”

However, Dante defends both of his officers, but Justine warned that “Nathan” and Chase’s behavior would reflect poorly on Dante as commissioner and she should really think about that. Later, Dante has a terse confrontation with “Nathan” on how he botched a prison transport and that he better watch his back as Justine is one step away from turning this over to Internal Affairs.

COP MADNESS

Next, “Nathan” apologizes for the way he handled the situation with Rocco and says he feels badly. But then in the twist, Dante said that he was grateful that “Nathan” had been there for his son in his time of need (referencing after Rocco shot Cullum and covered it up).

Then, there’s the newest police officer in the precinct, Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett). He may actually be on to “Nathan’s” double life when he questions him about a syringe found in Britt’s room at Bobbie’s. “Nathan” made up a story to counter Joe’s, that he was not aware that his sister was taking anything for her Huntington’s disease diagnosis. Joe called the forensic department lab wanting to know what drug was exactly in the syringe.

BEFORE YOU GO

At Carly’s (Laura Wright), Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) tells her that he must travel to Geneva to speak to the head of the WSB, named Z. Valentin feels it’s the only way to save Josslyn if he informs Z about Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) being a double agent. Valentin shares with Carly that he has to stop Cullum from bringing his dangerous cold fusion device online. Carly is beside herself. She doesn’t want Valentin to sacrifice himself by turning himself into the organization who has made him a fugitive in the first place. Valentin stands firm that he must meet Z in person.

Knowing that revealing himself to the WSB meant he was likely going back to prison, Valentin asked Carly if she’d get in touch with his daughter, Charlotte so he could say good-bye to her. Next, Carly and Valentin make their way to the bedroom to make love, which may be for the very last time, if Valentin is caught and put back in Steinmauer Maximum Security Prison.

Courtesy/ABC

CAUGHT BY CULLUM

At the same time while at Wydemere, Cullum is talking with one of his WSB operatives. Now, he is pondering if Valentin and Sidwell were working together all along.  Next, Cullum entertains the idea of involving the FBI to locate Britt and Rocco. He says he plans to kill them both once he knows of their whereabouts. Cullum sees the only other threat to the completion of the cold fusion project to be Anna Devane.

Cullum wants to track the location of the unidentified person who called the private clinic in France trying to get in touch with Anna, while pretending to be Kevin Collins. When the agent came back with a report, he says it emanated from a cell tower near Shoreline Road. It’s in the that moment that a light bulb goes on for Cullum! Valentin is in Port Charles and hiding at Carly’s!

So, what do you think of the PCPD cops, Chase, Joe and “Nathan?” Who should Dante fire? Do you think Valentin will go the run?Are you digging Carly and Valentin’s relationship and want it to continue, especially with Finola Hughes on her way back as Anna next month on-screen? Weigh-in via the comment section, and in case you missed it, you can check out our latest interview with Dominic Zamprogna below from his appearance on the Michael Fairman Channel, where he talks the PCPD cops, Rocco on the run, and more.
