Courtesy/CBS

Monday’s episode of The Bold and the Beautiful brought with it the highly-anticipated scenes of Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wooda) finally remembering the shooting that landed her in the hospital, and took the life of her husband, Finn (Tanner Novlan), all thanks to Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown)!

It all goes down while at her home talking with her parents, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor (Krista Allen).  As she begins to unravel the fight she had in the alley behind Il Guardino with Sheila, and as bits and pieces begin to make sense to Steffy, she realizes the horrifying truth.

Taylor tries to sort out what Steffy is saying thinking that her daughter is confused about Sheila.  Steffy shares that, at first, Finn wasn’t there at first. Then. she realizes Sheila pulling out a gun just as Finn showed up to rescue her.

Steffy exclaims that ‘Sheila shot her own son’, then, turned the gun on her when she tried to call for help … and shot her.

What a sad, sad cycle. Bring Kimberlin Brown back over the years only to write Sheila into a corner by having her commit crimes that lead to incarceration. She was free to potentially be redeemed this time and be on canvas for years to come. Just a big mess.

All of this over a switched bottle of champagne. Wish the buildup was more Gaslight. Wish Brooke was not so easily thrown aside by the family for something easily discussed and forgivable considering ages and histories of characters. Wish it did not get this far. How to accept any Sheila redemption if that is plan going forth? What about Finn’s parents (over and out?)? Will Taylor just disappear again? Please don’t give us another Hope Liam Steffi Thomas thing!

At some point Sheila will need to go over a cliff. Most likely she’ll drag Deacon and Taylor with her, and hers will be the only body not found. At least until 2023 when the recycled triangles and repetitive dialogue get too much even for Brad Bell.

I’ve been wondering all week, are the Police in hiding, hoping for a confession or what? Of course she would turn it around on Steffy, been saying that it’s Steffy’ fault that she shot her son. Well, the cliffs are right outside the door, but that would be the easy out, I want her in prison, this time for good!

If you want to confront her fine but have the police somewhere close someone will be hurt I am assuming it will be Steffy because she is off for maternity leave ! Th show has so much potential but it just caves in very sad

THIS IS US: Kevin’s Romantic Match Finally Revealed

As This Is Us heads towards its last episodes of the series, every single show has been filled with emotional moments that tug at our heartstrings, and Tuesday’s night installment was no exception, exact for one thing – you may have been crying happy tears!

In the episode entitled ‘The Night Before the Wedding”, Kevin (Justin Hartley) is front and center as we pick up what happened with three women who were circulating that evening.  If you recall, Madison and Beth were trying to find out who actually slept with Kevin that night in his hotel room.  However, as it turns out, Kevin slept alone!  What leads to this are key moments that collide and ultimately bring about the revelation he needed.

First, his childhood girlfriend who then became his wife, who then became his ex, Sophie, (Alexandra Breckinridge) reveals on a walk through a vineyard that she is divorced now. Things didn’t work out between her and her husband, Grant. This comes as a surprise to Kevin, but Sophie says she has never been happier.  Kevin opens up that his relationships with women haven’t worked out.  Sophie talks on how Kevin’s mom, Rebecca, thinks of the two of them are still together due to Rebecca’s battle with Alzheimer’s disease and her declining health.

Later that night, Kevin follows Sophie to the elevator. She follows him to his room, they start to make out and undress and Kevin makes a comment on how Sophie’s hair smells different, which flips her out and she stops everything right then and there.  An upset Sophie yells, “You should like how my hair smells now, not how it smelled in the past.”  Things go south and we are left to wonder … sooo … is that the end of Kevin and Sophie?

A dazed and confused Kevin wonders down to the bar where Ariel, the band singer, is having a drink snd writing song lyrics.  She tells Kevin she loves people-watching and came up with a lyric about him, which turns out to be profound. He leaves the bar alone to his hotel room and puts the paper napkin containing the lyrics down (this is the napkin that Beth and Madison read in last week’s episode while they were snooping around trying to figure out who Kev slept with).

Next, Cassidy shows up at Kevin’s room needing help with her dress – she’s stuck in it and needs the back unzipped.  Kevin helps, and she changes in the bathroom, and you think maybe they will hit the sheets, but no.  Cassidy shuts down anything from happening.  She reminds Kevin that they are good friends and to put the nail in the coffin, shares: “You’re not my person, and I’m not yours, and you know that.”   Kevin agrees, they hug, she exits.  Ultimately, Kevin wakes up alone, gets dressed to attend Kate and Phillip’s wedding and is seen rehearsing his speech in the mirror from the Princess Bride – the one that Sophie laughed at during the wedding reception.

Now, we are at the actual reception again, and Sophie speaks with Rebecca.  Kevin’s mom, who still thinks Kevin and Rebecca are in their 20’s says, “I love my son, but he is an idiot.  The timing is just off right now. He isn’t ready for you. He will be, but it’s going to take a while. And I don’t know if you can wait around for that. Personally, I don’t know if I could. But when the timing is right, he’s going to be so great.”  It was those words that clued Sophie in and confirmed that Kevin is the right choice for her, right now.

Across the room, Randall gives Kevin some major and convoluted advice about Buffalo Bills Super Bowl merch. Randall gives Kevin a big push to go to Sophie saying, “The world is friggin’ insane. It makes no sense. But you and Sophie together, now that makes more sense than most things.”

Next, Kevin walks over to Sophie and starts to talk, but she stops him. “You don’t get to give a speech this time. It’s my turn,” she says. It is then she tells him he is now the man she always hoped he would become, and that she was sorry she freaked out the other night. She just does not want to fall back into the old versions of themselves.  However she adds,  “I want to fall in love with the man that you’ve become.”

As both Kevin and Sophie are fighting back the tears, Kevin takes out his wallet and shows Sophie the Valentine he wrote for her the first day he saw her in  elementary school.  We go to a heart-tugging flashback.  Back at the wedding reception, Kevin says “I’ve always carried you with me, Soph.”  The two share a kiss to the thunderous applause of the wedding party.  We bring out the hankies!

Wonderful work from Justin Hartley and Alexandra Breckinridge who’s on-screen chemistry as Kevin and Sophie has been undeniable from the start.

So, were you happy to find out that Kevin and Sophie reunited? Comment below.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Abigail Reveals Gwen’s Deception at her Wedding to Xander, But Gwen Drops A Bombshell

Look like Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) finally got what’s coming to her, or at least for now.  On Thursday’s episode of Days of our Lives it was wedding couple number two who took front and center stage.

Now, Xander (Paul Telfer) and Gwen were ready to start their nuptials, following the disaster of the first couple’s attempt at tying the knot (Leo and Craig) and that coming apart at the seams.

Photo: JPI

However, this wedding was not meant to be either, thanks to Abigail (Marci Miller) having the ammo (thank to a plea deal for Ava Vitali) to bring Gwen’s heinous plot out in the open, publicly.  That included: Gwen’s plans to nab Xander for herself and keep his true love, Sarah, away from him by any means possible as all was revealed to the groom and Gwen’s father, Jack (Matthew Ashford).  From kidnapping, drugging Sarah, wearing masks, being an accomplice to Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) schemes etc, etc, Abigail had the quite the dirt on her half-sister.

In the end, Xander walks out on Gwen, Jack practically disowns her, Abigail and Jennifer stand by and take Gwen’s insults knowing they have finally one-upped her, and Gwen is in a puddle of tears in her wedding dress.

Just then, Gwen gets one more visitor, Rafe (Galen Gering)! He comes to cuff-her and bring her down to the police station for her crimes.  Before she leaves, she angrily gets close to Abigail and whispers in her ear that she purposely killed her grandmother! That means that Gwen killed Laura Horton in cold blood.  What will Abigail do with his information?

Emily O’ Brien has been consistently knocking it out of the park playing all the levels of Gwen, while Marci Miller was fierce with her controlled and contained payback after all Gwen has put Abigail through. Perhaps, there is yet another knock-down drag-out fight to go down between the two in the near future?  Stay tuned.

So, what did you think of Abigail’s comeuppance of Gwen for her crimes? Are you happy Xander walked out on her? What do you think will happen next involving the information on Gwen murdering Laura Horton? Comment below.

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS: Sharon Finds Out Rey is Dead in Heartbreaking Performance from Sharon Case

Thursday’s episode of Y&R, brought with it reactions to the news of death of Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) by many key Genoa City residents, but most importantly his wife, Sharon (Sharon Case).  While fans have been vocal on social media that Rey was killed-off camera, and the exit of Daytime Emmy-winner, Jordi Vilasuso, the soap still managed to bring us some riveting moments from the cast within the storyline.

Throughout the hour, Sharon looks quite upset, but trying to keep it all in check, as if she knows what’s about to happen, and certainly after she hears about the accident that Victoria was involved in.

Photo: JPI

Before Sharon finds out Rey has died, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is told by Ashland (Robert Newman) while she is suffering from injuries sustained in the car crash.  She demands Ashland take her to Rey, and that is death is all her fault.  Ashland tells Victoria what he saw since he was in the car behind her. He tells her she swerved to avoid hitting Rey’s oncoming car, and crashed into a tree. Victoria thanks Ashland for saving her life.

Back at Crimson Lights, and to wrap-up whatever story could have been brewing between Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Rey, Sharon calls Chelsea out on her attraction and the connection she has to her husband.   She suggests that Chelsea is happy to have a night with Rey and Connor.  Chelsea says she knows Rey is married to her, but that Rey is a terrific man. The two, in the calmest manner possible, say that they appreciate the others honesty and that’s as far as it goes.

Meanwhile, Chance (Conner Floyd) gets a call from the police department about the three-car accident and heads out of Crimson Light where he was hanging out with Connor and Chelsea.  Elsewhere, Nick (Joshua Morrow), who has left Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) to find Victoria, calls Victor from the crash site. He informs his parents that there is no sign of Victoria, or Ashland, but that Rey Rosales was involved in the accident and is dead.

Victor and Nikki head out to find Victoria and Ashland and find them in the deserted shed near the accident. Victor looks not too happy that Ashland was the one who saved Victoria’s life.  Chance is at the crash scene and in discussion with Nick, and they decide that Nick should be the one that tells Sharon the tragic news about Rey, not a police officer she doesn’t know.

At the end of the episode, Nick walks in to Crimson Lights, and Sharon already knows in her gut that Rey is dead, but she gets so upset that she begins to just talk non-stop about Rey.  As she starts to break down, she tells Nick that before she tells her that what happened, she just needs a minute, Finally, Nick reveals to Sharon that Rey has died.  Next, Sharon crumbles into Nick’s arms as she sobs uncontrollably that Rey is gone.  It was a gut-wrenching performance from longtime Y&R all-star, Sharon Case.

Watch the final moments where Nick tells Sharon about Rey below in two clips.

Then, let us know, what did you think of the episode? How do you feel about Rey being killed off-screen? What did you think of the performances of Sharon Case, Amelia Heinle, Joshua Morrow and Robert Newman? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
