THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL: Thomas Wakes Up; Liam Wants To Confess All to Hope

Photo: JPI

On Friday’s episode of CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful, fans were left pondering a few key questions heading into next week.

Now that Thomas (Mathew Arkinson) has regained consciousness and seems to have remembered kissing his favorite mannequin – the Hope mannequin – will he have any more brain trauma from his emergency surgery? What will be the residual effects?  Could the show go down the selective amnesia route?

Photo: JPI

Will Thomas be A-OK … and now Hope (Annika Noelle) and Thomas will be drawn to each other in reality; especially when Hope gets wind their husband, Liam (Scott Clifton) hightailed it over to his ex-wife Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) place and had sex with her … after believing that Hope was making out with Thomas … only to find out later what he saw was Thomas kissing the mannequin version of her?

After Thomas wakes up in the hospital, Steffy decides to head home to her daughter, Kelly, and Liam follows her out, which does not go unnoticed by Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). Has he figured out that the two had sex?

Later, when  Liam and Steffy talk at her place, she is adamant that he not reveal their tryst to Hope for fear it will also bust up her burgeoning relationship with Finn (Tanner Novlan).  However, headstrong Liam says he cannot live with this secret and that secrets have a way of being exposed if you don’t address them head on.  Steffy still feels it will be the absolute wrong move and it will certainly be the end of Liam’s marriage to Hope.  However, Liam says he has to tell his wife.

This also begs the question, with Jacqueline MacInnes Wood pregnant in real life; will the show ultimately write-in the pregnancy and we would not know if the child is Finn or Liam’s?

So, what do you ‘hope’ happens next?  Are you rooting for Hope and Thomas?  Do you want Thomas to be fine, or prefer him acting-out crazy?  Are you rooting for Steffy to be with Finn or wind up back with Liam? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

I couldn’t have said it better myself. If he could only shut his mouth foe five minutes I would be very happy. He just re hashes the same thing over and over. Enough already!

I totally agree! He goes on and on and makes the same stupid mistakes. They put the character of Rick on the back-burner. Maybe it is time to do the same with Liam.

So sick of Liam and stuffy long drawn out talk everyday the same thing . Why does this show have to drag things out for so damng long ?they always do this until it it gets boring and irritating.

Agree, but seems that is where this is heading… Where is Bill? Where is Katie? Wasn’t Bridget supposed to be returning? Glad Eric is reconnecting with Quinn. And why did they not contact Taylor while Thomas was in the hospital. The writing of this soap would probably be better if they actually acknowledged the global pandemic in their storylines since we don’t see any of the cast other than those who would be in family pods. The mannequin situation is gross.

Have you forgotten Ridge and Bridget kissing remember Rick has been romantically involved with Phoebe Steffy and was engaged to Taylor when Kyle Lowder was in the role. Then Brooke and Thomas were hinted at maybe having a relationship years ago. I am sure I have missed some Brad Bell geeze is all I can say!

They should rename the snow Incest Among the Beautiful. They were suppose to give Donna A story as well. Instead they just focus on the usuals. Ridiculous

I don’t understand how this show stays afloat! I watch a couple of times a week to Liam singing the blues of his recent infidelity. He should just tell Hope to make himself feel better and the hell with what it does to three other lives and families. How damn selfish can some people be? While truthfulness is a good thing , sometimes it’s better for everyone involved to withhold something that would be so hurtful to so many people.

What is with Zoe? Can’t stand her persona, looks, everything about her. And where did she or anyone else get the idea that she can sing? The sister sings really well, and what does Zoe have against her younger sister besides jealousy of her and Zendie’s mutual attraction?

Days Of Our Lives

DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Julie Stands Up to MarDevil; Susan Seaforth Hayes Reminds Us Why She is Soap Royalty

Friday’s episode of Days of our Lives brought with it, let’s just say, not your typical Turkey Day episode in Salem.  It also moved the story along with MarDevil being exposed!

At Julie’s (Susan Seaforth Hayes) Thanksgiving, Doug (Bill Hayes) shouts that Marlena (Deidre Hall) is the devil. However, Marlena still insists that Doug is delusional and needs to be locked back up.  It is then that Julie stands by her husband.  Julie is on to Marlena and wonders if she should call “Marlena,” who she truly is at the moment, “Satan”.

Courtesy/NBC

Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and Belle (Martha Madison) also believe something is terribly wrong.  Marlena tells them this is ridiculous, but Belle wants to hear what else Doug has to say.  Then, Shawn handcuffs Marlena to take her down to the station for questioning.  Julie doesn’t believe for one second that handcuffs will restrain the devil, and she was right! MarDevil breaks the cuffs and flings Shawn across the Thanksgiving dinner table complete with food-a-flying, leaving him unconscious.

Now with yellow eyes and lights flickering, MarDevil goes after Doug and Julie, but Julie stops Satan in his tracks professing “Not today, Satan!” Just then, MarDevil grabs a knife and in a counter move, Julie holds out her rosary saying love is the power and that the God of love is stronger than the devil! Julie defiantly tells MarDevil that the truth is out and Satan’s reign of terror is over! But MarDevil turns the tables and sneers, “It will never be over!”

It was in these scenes opposite Deidre Hall, that Susan Seaforth Hayes shined as she has done for decades given the material, as Julie went the toe-to-toe with the devil and Susan made us believe that love can win out over everything, especially the love of Doug and Julie.

In another touching moment in the episode, Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) tells EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) from her hospital bed, how she used herself as a human sacrifice for the devil to keep John alive and to protect her son.  An emotional EJ can’t believe that Susan was willing to die for him. However, Susan explains that a mother always protects their child and she would do it all over again when faced with that decision.  Haiduk and Feurriegel also delivered in these scenes.

With John (Drake Hogestyn) freed by Anna (Leann Hunley) and Tony (Thaao Penghlis), he eventually makes his way into the Horton house to confront MarDevil, but Satan is gone.  Instead, John finds Shawn with Doug and Julie and they inform him that MarDevil had left to fulfill her true purpose.  Just then, Marlena arrives at Ben (Rob Scott Wilson) and Ciara’s (Victoria Konefal). We fade to black.

Now below, check out Susan Seaforth Hayes in a scene from Friday’s episode as Julie fends off the devil.

Then, let us know, what did you think of Susan’s performance? What do you think MarDevil will do next to Ben and Ciara and “their” baby? Did you enjoy the Susan and EJ scenes? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
