The Bold and The Beautiful's Shocking Twist! Ashlyn Pearce Tweets: "Aly Forrester Was A Role I Feel So Blessed To Have Been Able To Play."

On Thursday’s episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, viewers were in for a surprise storyline twist! SPOILER ALERT: If you have not seen the airshow as of yet, don’t read any further.

As the show picked up steam from Wednesday’s episode, Aly (Ashlyn Pearce) was out to hurt or kill Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) on the side of the road … in the dark … at night! Armed at first with a crowbar, and then later with a rock, an unhinged Aly wants to put a stop to Steffy’s slutty ways (as she views it) and restore all that is good with the Forrester family name.  Aly also wants to avenge her mother’s death, because Steffy’s mom Taylor (Hunter Tylo) was the responsible party who ran Darla (Schae Harrison) down one night while intoxicated!

Meanwhile, the concerned Liam (Scott Clifton), Wyatt (Darin Brooks), Maya (Karla Mosley) and Rick (Jacob Young) are back at the Forrester mansion after the California Freedom fashion show, and after finding out about the creepy photos of Aly’s with features some disturbing drawings on Steffy’s. Enter Thorne (Winsor Harmon), father to Aly, who has come back to Los Angeles to take his whacked-out daughter back to Paris with him, only there is a problem!

Back at the side of the road as Aly escalates her revenge on Steffy, Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) is driving by in a car trying to find the two young women.  However, she comes upon the scene shortly after Aly’s head hits a rock in a confrontation with Steffy.  Next thing you know, Aly is not breathing!  Steffy throws the crowbar that could now look to be a murder weapon that was in her hand when Aly fell. The paramedics are called, but they can’t revive Aly, and they pronounce her dead.

Ashlyn Pearce yesterday took to her Twitter account after the outpouring of fan support for her performances, and confirmed she has exited the series, via this message to her followers:  “#BoldandBeautiful fans. Thank you all for the love & support. Aly Forrester was a role I feel so blessed to have been able to play. #TeamAly”

So, were you surprised that B&B killed-off Aly? Were you hoping Ashlyn Pearce would remain on the show? What do you think how it opens up storyline possibilities now that mother and daughter are the responsible parties that killed Darla and Aly?  Do you think this will further pit Ivy vs. Steffy for Liam’s heart? Share your thoughts below! But before you do, watch this clip of Ivy and Steffy in a panicked over a non-breathing Aly!

B&B should be worried. They’re slacking. DAYS passed them up in the 18-34 demo.

Days is so far into the bottom they will need an act of God to recover. As a show lifetime watcher I can tell you DOOL is on its way out. B&B remains firmly in 2nd place regardless of the most recent ratings

Steffy is at fault! She picked up the tire iron and hit Ally on the head knocked her out and killed her. Steffy is unstable for killing her cousin! Even when you defend yourself you don’t kill anyone.

i am DONE with B&B……I was hoping this was a dream or better yet a nightmare that Ally went “full out crazy” ….where has her boyfriend Oliver been? I have been on the cusp of continuing watching this show. Why bring heartbreak to Thorne’s character over and over again? Steffy haters , back off. She was viciously attacked and almost killed by Sweet Ally…..now they are going to put Steffy through the wringer. I’m all for a good storyline….this has finally made me delete the recording off my DVR….

I too am done with B&B. I stuck it out for a long time. The story lines are moving away from the core players and killing off Thorne’s daughter is just another way to move the show away from the core. I just deleted it from my DVR.

B&B MUST be out of story line as all they have done of late is repeat the same story line in the offspring of the main characters–Forrester & Logan families. Those of us who have watched it over the years are really exhausted with the same dumb stuff over and over (e.g. Ridge and Caroline- #1 and #2), Brooke goes through all the Forrester men, but then Dr. Taylor Forrester, the righteous, ends up going through all the Forrester men too; Wyatt and Liam always fighting after the same girl, let’s not forget the GAZILLION times they jerked us with… Read more »

I would LOVE to write for B & B. I would write so many twist and turns the fans will get dizzy… What keeps a show of any kind is something always happening and not drag it out! An hour long show would allow for more storylines and soaps have always been an hour long. Lets get this soap back on track and I bet there are a lot of fans that have great story lines if there was a place on the page for new ideas. Just a thought…

Should have kept alys character and used her to sabotage Steffy at every turn.
Keeping the vendetta going could have been interesting. Killing off her character was such a waste of good potential story lines. Steffy needs to go to jail for lying to the Police about what happened. It was self defense until she lied but thats Steffy… lies and manipulates as always. Someone needs to teach her a lesson. Hoping B&B will provide the goods because Ivys lame attempt at blackmail failed.

I’m sorry they killed off Aly. I feel like there was lots more story to tell with her. Plus, now, Darla and Thorne’s daughter is gone.

I didn’t like the actress at first, buy she grew on me.

I am hoping it is a bad dream too but if it is not then I hope Thorne learns the truth and puts Steffy in jail. If she is in jail then she could lose control over the 25% share in the Company (Forrester Creations) which opens the door to some exciting possibilities… Maybe Thorne could get control over these shares and unite with other shareholders to take over FC from Ridge. Looks like Team Spencer will have their own Fashion House and compete with FC. I hope they bring Hopes character back recharged and looking for revenge over the… Read more »

Here, here.. Brad Bell needs to hang it up.. This crap with Liam/Steffy/Ivy storyline. There again, Liam was fine with Steffy, he was starting to get his life back on track after Hope going to Milan. Then, when things look like they are improving, here comes slutty Steffy wanting to get Liam back… Writers must have run out of story lines, I would dare to guess..

this was an amazing twist totally didn’t see it coming & I’m sad about aly not being on anymore because ashlyn is an amazing actress but at the same time this will totally drive storyline and I understand why they decided on aly. This is going to effect every character on the show. we are going to get to see lots of emotion from every character and I really commend them for keeping it under wraps for as long as they did with out letting it get out.

Get Steffy good for what? It was clearly self defense and Aly got exactly what she deserved. It was kill or be killed. Or are you just another pathetic Logan-lover out to bash any and everything connected to Taylor?

Deborah

Get Steffy for covering up her part in Ally’s death, that’s what. Ally had a rock in her hands for God’s sake…a rock. And why didn’t Steffy run or get back in her car instead of just stand there? No matter. Ivy has the video. Steffy will be prosecuted for obstruction of justice now even if it is deemed self defense. She’s just like her mother – no accountability. As long as she gets what she wants it’s all fair in love and war. Ugh. Go back to Paris and take those lips with you, Steffy. lol

It’s 2020, & I hope in the years since posting this you’ve grown to understand that a rock can absolutely be a murder weapon.

It made for a lightning quick moment of hot story but… I liked Aly a lot. Ms. Pearce and her character were breaths of fresh air in a stale insular world that has become B&B. Aly may have become unhinged and if that were allowed to go on, she could have become an ongoing snake in the grass for the family. And poor Thorne. The true Forrester son from the start gets more tragedy heaped upon him. Winsor Harmon and Ashlyn Pearce were good together. The show did us a disservice by not giving us more. Removing Aly only helps… Read more »

I am sick of balloon face
She is a repulsive person, totally fake and born with a silver spoon. She thinks she can do no wrong. On the side of the road, why didnot she just run away from Aly. There was nothing wrong with her legs. Why not run instead of swing a tire iron?

Estella

Are you actually blaming Steffy for DEFENDING herself?! Aly orchestrated the whole damn thing. Steffy was laying on the ground, completely defenseless against a raving psychopath out to kill. She had just seconds to react or Steffy would have been the one who was dead! Aly is the cause of her own death. Your arguments make no sense! I am so sick of you Taylor/Steffy bashers. You make me sick!

LOL. Get upset over soap operas much? Steffy lied to the police because she knows what she did. She’s a lot bigger than Ally and she knew Ally was mentally ill and has been ever since Taylor killed her mother…and.. LIED about it. Deja vu. Two peas in a pod.

I can see where this is going. Thorne will FINALLY go after and take back what is RIGHTFULLY his, Forrester Creations. He IS a Forrester. Ridge’s drunken ex and his wayward daughter took away his family. I think he will be exacting some payback finally. I can bet he makes sure that they aren’t welcome for Ali’s funeral either. This whole situation will blow the Forrester family (or what’s left of it) apart. People will be forced to choose sides. Can I also say that Steffy should NOT have been the one to tell Thorne about Ali. That was again… Read more »

I had not seen yesterday’s episode. It always seems a waste to kill off main family characters, especially when they’re young. Aly could’ve just gone bonkers and then sent away for help. I don’t see a storyline purpose for this…we’ll have to see if a good reason comes out if this.

Deborah

They did it to parallel Steffy’s life with Taylor’s life. They are both responsible for the death of Thorne’s family and lied about it. I hope Thorne dumps Taylor and Liam dumps Steffy. And I hope Ivy is with Wyatt and tells Liam to take a flying leap. He is the most ridiculously fickle guy on TV!

Well all I can say is those scenes had me rivet to the set– it has been a long time since a soap had me on the edge of me seat, wondering how this was going to end. And since it was kept under wraps, at least I had no inkling they were going to kill off Aly I was floored when she was pronounce dead. This is the old fashioned soap action at its best. Estella

I totally agree that Aly is not dead. These past episodes have all seemed so surreal. No oneis grieving, no crying… nothing. Plus we didn’t see the body. Here’s my theory: Aly was mistakenly presumed dead and woke up either in the ambulance or morgue. She has access to money so she bribed someone to fake her death. Currently she is sitting back watching this unfold and plotting her next move. Anyone who watches soaps knows: No body, No death.

Deborah

Ally is dead. She would absolutely not put Thorne through a fake death. Not after he alreqdy lost his wife. The only one thing in the world Ally treasured most in the world than her mother’s memory and daily “talks” was her father. They never show the corpse in thr coffin on soap operas. That’s primetime.

This was definitely a huge shock, one that no one saw coming, just like the reveal that Maya was born Myron and is transgender. B&B seems like the most willing soap to take risks and leaps of faith, to tell provocative and controversial stories, and to provide huge story twists. The way in which these scenes between Aly and Steffy were filmed was fantastic, and the end scene when Aly was pronounced dead was a stunner. However, I’m not at all happy that Aly is dead. Sara,

The only problem with Sheila Carter coming back is that Sheila finally bit the dust on Y&R a few years back when she was the doppleganger of Phyllis before Michelle Stafford (ex-Phyllis; Y&R, Nina; GH) eventually left Y&R. So, there’s no way that they can bring Sheila back.

Brad was busy recycling the story from several years ago that had Taylor hit Darla by accident as Darla was changing a flat for Taylor’s daughter Phoebe. Ally was sent by dead Darla’s vision to avenge Darla’s death by killing Steffy, Taylor’s other daughter and Phoebe’s twin. It was pure shock writing and I wish they hadn’t felt it necessary to kill the girl off, she was a good little actress.

Unbelievable Liam and Stephanie will never get together every time they get close the storyline takes a detour. Too bad they had to kill ally off though they should’ve just gotten her psychological help . Unfortunately yes Taylor had been drinking but she really wasn’t at fault Darla was clumsy and tripped and fell into the street anyone could have run over her and once again like Taylor, Stephanie will be blamed for killing ally when all she was doing was blocking a rock from hitting her head and trying to push her away she didn’t intend to kill her.… Read more »

Self-defense or not, Steffy lied to,police about what happened and she is responsible for Ally’s death – even in self defense. But now she’s screwed herself by doing the same thing her mother did when she ran over Ally’s mother in the road while she was driving drunk…and lied. If either one of them could tell the truth they would be okay and no charges pressed. I was shocked at Aly’s death. However, she was clearly trouble and troubled. Steffy did NOT murder Aly; Steffy was acting in self-defense. Aly was going to bash Steffy in the head with a rock. Ivy did not see the scene from the beginning and has made incorrect/erroneous assumptions based on what she did see. What drives me crazy is that the writers of the show expect the viewers to believe illogical, unbelievable, nonsensical writing. Wouldn’t the police notify Thorne of his daughter’s death–not Steffy? Steffy lied to police about what happened or has everyone forgotten that? If she’s not guilty of anything why throw away the tire iron and lie? It wasn’t murder but she is responsible for Ally’s death and now she’s going to go up for obstruction of justice and giving a false statement to law enforcement. Cute but stupid. And of course Ivy thinks the worst. She only saw one angle but she knows Steffy lied so what else would she think? Wyatt’s clothes are 100% preferable to Liam’s adolescent fickleness. Send him and Steffy both packing back to Paris.

I was hoping for a happily ever after for Aly and Oliver, but of course that never happens on soap operas. The writers should bring Hope back only to confuse Liam even more. I’m really surprised that a lot of you that have posted above didn’t see the writing on the wall with Aly. I knew with Aly going down a very dark path that Ms. Pearce’s time on the show was pretty much over. Did I foresee that Steffy would be the one to off Aly? Aly we hardly knew you. What a disappointment. i really liked Aly and Ms. Pearce’s performance. She killed it in these last few episodes. B&B can’t seem to find story for the whole cast. They can only focus on one or two major stories at a time. The heart of this show is the Romeo and Juliet concept which is fine but characters have family members, co-workers and friends and they all need something to do. I was suprised that they decided to kill aly off but I know it is kind of cliché but soaps operas are known to bring characters back from dead so I wouldn’t if there is another twist in aly’s death storyline. Thank God that crazy bitch is FINALLY gone! Could never stand the actress or her character. I can’t understand why Steffie was so upset, you’d think she’d be glad to be rid of her. I know I would! Totally agree. Never have I been so happy to see a character killed off. I’m sure Ashley is a lovely person but she cannot act. This show is starting to really go downhill. The Liam triangles are tired and boring. And the whole Maya storyline is totally unrealistic. For soaps that drag story lines out for years they sure wrapped up the acceptance of this situation quickly. I might have to bail on my guilty pleasure because it is no longer pleasurable.

While I as a little ambivalent about the Ally character, I don’t like how they killed her off. I’m fairly new to B&B, but it didn’t take long to be bored by the Liam/Hope/Steffy triangle. I felt the twist was backwards to reality of cleaning up the cruel mean people’s role. Ivy is such a honest up front person just as Ali. Why we can not follow real life’s humps to relate to the audience is beyond me. The new look title sequence adds a downtown and cityscape to Genoa City, including having Jabot, one of GC’s most prominent imminent companies in town, featured atop a building.

In the new sequence, the cast are featured going from black and white – to color in a gold tinge – with a red, seemingly more gothic look, lower-third displaying their names.
