The best of the best is how many daytime actors, colleagues, and fans would deem Daytime Emmy winner and icon, Elizabeth Hubbard.

From her role as Dr. Althea Davis on The Doctors, where she won her Daytime Emmy in 1974, and another for her role as the leading role in First Lady Diaries: Edith Wilson, to her daytime drama star turn as Lucinda Walsh on the iconic As the World Turns, any opportunity to  get to see Elizabeth act is pure joy.

Anthony Anderson, creator of the hit online series Anacostia, has Hubbard guest-starring on the series new season. How did it all come about?  That would be also because of another multi- Daytime Emmy winner, Martha Byrne (Ex-Lily, ATWT).  Back in April, Byrne took home the gold for her performance in Anacostia as Alexis Jordan.   In the new season of Anacostia, Byrne wrote Hubbard’s story arc along with Anderson and directed her.   ATWT fans will get to see former on-screen mother and daughter together again.

Check out the teaser for the new season of Anacostia coming this month, and let us know if you are looking forward to seeing Hubbard and Byrne together again!

Two comments: (1) I am unfamiliar with the actors in the clip besides Hubbard and Byrne, but there is some impressive acting and writing going on; I watched the clip because of Hubbard and Byrne but I will definitely tune in to this series to watch some of these other actors/characters. And (2) Ms. Martha Byrne has become an extraordinarily beautiful woman–which is not to say she wasn’t quite pretty when she was younger, but she’s absolutely gorgeous here. (What wouldn’t we all give to have the good fortune of getting better looking as we age? Sigh.)
