The Return of Ryan's Hope Delia Reid Ryan Coleridge on GENERAL HOSPITAL!

Who ever thought we would see the day where Ilene Kristen would have the opportunity to resurrect one of soap operas all-time classic characters Delia Reid Ryan Coleridge of Ryan’s Hope?

But on General Hospital under the pen of Ron Carlivati and his ode to ABC Daytime history, all things are possible.

On yesterday’s episode of GH, Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Silas (Michael Easton) wander into Ryan’s Bar in New York and lo and behold who is serving the coffee … Delia!  After a very cute ode to One Life to Live where Delia looks at Silas and goes, “JOHNNY”, leaving him confused, Delia reveals he reminds her of Johnny Ryan! Of course, OLTL fans know that “Johnny” is the name that Roxy called John McBain!  Oh, the irony!

Later, it is clear that Delia knows something big about the Jerome family and is freaked out when Sam tries to jog her memory!  What is Delia hiding?  Will Sam and Silas figure out what is going on with Sam’s bio-daddy?

Ilene Kristen spoke to Soap Opera Digest about returning to playing Delia and related, “I made up a little back-story for myself that a lot of her dreams had not come true, that she was working over at Ryan’s and had to go back to a place that maybe she didn’t want to go back to. The most important thing that I believe that I did when I did General Hospital, was show her vulnerability, because that is what Delia always had, a tremendous amount of vulnerability.”

What did you think of the return of Delia?  Happy that Ilene Kristen was back on?  Does it make you miss Ryan’s Hope? Or, does it make you love General Hospital even more? Are you ready for round two of Delia on today’s episode of GH? Let us know!

I’m so loving this! Delia is Ava Jerome’s mother! It couldn’t be more perfect! I hope she’s on for a long time! I loved her on RH & OLTL! A great idea!

im loving this. i hope GH bring on more former soap stars from other soaps. iilene kristen is a perfect fit for GH

I am SOOOOOOO loving this!!! FINALLY – GH is back and is back BIG TIME!!!!

I was thrilled to see Ilene on GH! I have missed her and I had been hoping she’d join the cast of the resurrected version of OLTL, but I’ll happily watch her on GH! Loving it!

Wow, this is good stuff, keep it up great writers

I’ve wanted to see Ilene on G.H. for years … when Ron Hale was running Kelly’s I thought it would be perfect to bring on Ilene Kristen and have them become a pivotal couple. And I was delighted that Delia returned … would love to see more Ryans … especially Ryan in-law Joe Novak … that should turn Silas’ head!

Loved seeing Ilene Kristen on GH yesterday. I was laughing when she called Michael Easton, Johnny. He had that playful smile when she called him that. Then when she asked if they were cops, that was another OLTL reference. Its just really great to see her back on!

One more things I forgot to mention, it would be interesting to see if Ava’s brother would be played by John-Paul Lavoisier.

nice!!! but who would he be?

Do you mean Julians son Lucas who would be Avas half nephew? Not Avas bro…unless you mean Delias son Johnny Ryan…

Would love to see John-Paul Lavoisier back on one of these soaps. Very much miss him since ABC’s version of OLTL was shut down. I think he would be great in a role on GH.

I can’t think which brother you mean, we know that Julian “Derek” is Ava’s half brother and Ava should be the youngest of that generation of Jeromes. Johnny Ryan would be her bro… trying to think how old he would be! I sort of figure this things out now as “Are they older than I or younger?” He’d be about 40 maybe? So i don’t know if there would be a place for JPL (esp with those GH fans who *still* have their knickers in a twist about the 3 former OLTL stars – weird since they are all such a part of GH now!), but it has been interesting to see the “Loving” house and then the nod to Ryan’s Hope.

I love her, One of my favorites, Hope she stays for a very long time, Loved her in Ryan’s hope, OLTL, and I will love her in Port Charles. PLEASE RON, LETS KEEP HER.

I hope she is permanent character on GH. Always liked her on both soaps… I am glad she is back because I missed her. Ilene is a blast playing both Delia and Roxie..

Hasn’t Ilene joined the cast of an upcoming web show? I saw something about it then didn’t hear any more. I enjoy her too and would not mind at ALL having her around!! 🙂

Loved Ryan’s Hope and was totally crushed when it left the air.
It’s nice to see Delia resurrected.

I say much her a permanent fixture on GH. I think she would have chemistry with a lot of the GH characters. GH is in need of another night hot spot for folks to gather. The Floating Rib is ok and so is the Metro Court but I remember when GH had Luke’s or Mac’s place where they had live music acts come and play periodically. That is what GH could use and who better to run the joint than Delia!

I agree!

Cavatini really know how to incorporate history and give some of our favorite daytimers a moment to shine. I wonder if ABC would give them the opportunity one day to develop a new 30-minute serial to follow GH on the schedule. Perhaps something that could be paired with a 30-minute late afternoon news update at 3:30.

The genre thrives under the leadership of these two, it seems.

After the cavalier way they axed AMC & OLTL, I would not hold my breath. It would be great to have more scripted shows on Daytime, ABC!!

Truly wonderful to see Ilene. I wish she were playing Roxy, but nonetheless a great move to bring her on.

I never saw Ryans Hope but she seemed to me to be playing Roxie. Nothing against her, because she’s pretty good, but yet another OLTL actor on GH? And they talk about Friends Of Jill over at Y&R????

In fairness, many of the original Ryan’s Hope actors are either retired or deceased; the options are limited. I think if it were not for the lawsuit between PP and ABC, we’d be seeing characters from AMC and OLTL both popping up as part of the GH 50 celebration.

The Roxy character was a lt like Delia so it makes sense that you would think that having not seen Ryan’s Hope. Dela was the original ditsy blond! Love her. If you can you tube Ryan’s hope and watch her, you will see the similarities! 🙂

She was totally playing Delia. I am so critical when i see an actor in a new role (or an old one!) and she was not Roxy. I watched and listened like a hawk!t Delia was a plotter and didn’t really care about anyone but herself. Roxy was often confused and Ms. Malaprop! That was definitely Ilene, and i saw her play both parts in pretty much every episdode of both shows.

I think it’s brilliant writing. I love Delia. I hope she is Ava’s mother. I can totally see it. Since both characters always wanted the man they couldn’t have! I hope she moves to PC.

I hope she moves to PC also! She was one of many favorites for me on OLTL .

Cute to play homage to RH but some characters (like Delia and Richard Simmons) are better off left in the past.

I don’t agree about Delia. I am glad she is back as Delia. I would be have if she was roxy. Either or I am happy Ilene is back..

Its beyond cute. Delia was a can’t miss character to watch no matter who portrayed her. She was vital in Ryan’s Hope.

I loved watching delia. It brought me back to my teenage years. Watching during my summer vacation.

i love her

DITTO!

Ilene is a joy to behold… so glad to see her on GH.

Me too!

Total Genious ! Thanks Rona nd Frank and I think this old friend maybe Ava’s mother !

LOVE seeing the return of beloved characters we thought were gone forever! Loved Delia, loved Roxie!! No one can play ditzy like Ilene can!!! THANK you GH!!! The soap keeps getting better and better!!!

I think it’s fabulous that GH has brought back Ilene Kristen as Delia. Love her!

Loved the return of Ilene Kristen , she is wonderful !!!! I adored her as Roxie on OLTL and as Delia on RH. Seeing Ilene makes me love GH, and the wonderful writers even more, but it also makes me miss OLTL. I enjoyed the conversations between quirky Roxie and straight-laced John (Johnny) McBain, so much, so that little reference on yesterday episode of GH was much appreciated.

If you are lucky enough to live in a city that carries SoapNet, they air reruns of OLTL from 6AM until 9AM Monday-Friday. They recently began a new cycle, starting with the 2008 eps. I DVR them just to watch the great malapropisms of Roxy and her interactions with John, as well as the clever stuff David Vickers says. I keep telling myself I need to stop watching eps. of a show I’ve seen already, but I can’t help it!

Thanks Jake! The cable company in my area actually cancelled SoapNet, but I just got AT&T U-Verse, so that I can watch SoapNet again, and, like you, I also now DVR the old OLTL’s, as well as the old GH’s, and enjoy both very much. I feel a little selfish, as my family is not thrilled with U-Verse, but it was the only way I can get SoapNet again. I agree, Tuc Watkins/David Vickers is very quick witted and sharp, and I also enjoy every scene he is in. As long as they keep airing the reruns, I will keep watching!

I hope she comes back for more…i want Delia to run into Heather and accuse her of stealing her identity for a year as a nod to when Robin M. played the part on Ryans Hope in the 1980s…Now i want a nod to Dark Shadows where Faison and Dr.O hide out in an abandon house that looks like the Old House from Dark Shadows…maybe they could be on the run and end up in Collinsport Maine…and if they can get Sharon Gabet i would love to see Edge Of Nights Raven Alexander Jamison Swift Whytney Whytney make some guests appearances too…

Unfortunately I don’t think ABC owns the rights to either of those two series! I don’t know much about Dark Shadows, but unlike ABC’s other soaps that they produced in-house, Edge of Night was owned and produced by Proctor & Gamble, as were many of the “stories” back in the day. That’s why they were/are called Soap Operas, because they really were being used to sell soap, and laundry detergent, and floor cleaner!

Im not sure about E.O.N. but i do know ABC doesnt own the rights to Dark Shadows so i doubt they’ll use my idea…

That might be hard to follow 🙂 I want Faison and Dr Doom dead. That would be great! 🙂

Sarah! Sarah! Sarah! NO! NO! NO! I and many others love GHs best villains ever…Dr.O and Faison…killing them off would kill their many fans!!!

@jimh(leave it to beaver)
I have heard this about Faison, that he has a pretty enormous fan base! I did really like them on Halloween, esp Faison. Whoever thought to make him Beetlejuice was a genius! GH has been really good lately. So ok, i won’t hope for the off-ing of the dastardly duo any more 🙂
Can we kill Jerry? Pleeeeeease?

Fan-Freakin-Tastic! Loved seeing Ilene Kristen on GH and the scene w/ Michael and Kelly was perfect for the story. Love it! Wish she could move to Port Charles and become a regular on the show. Ron Carlivati is a genius and has worked miracles for GH. This has been the best year of the show in ages.

Would love to see her in a scene with Robin Mattson (Heather), who also played Delia — albeit unsuccessfully.

Thank you Ron & Frank, she is a gift to all the fans.

LOVE that GH is interweaving the history of the ABC Soaps into Port Charles. I grew up watching Ryan’s Hope, when I had to go home for lunch in grade school. Our Catholic grade school would dismiss us at 11:50 am and we had to be back in the school yard by 12:55 pm. I always knew that when I heard the Ryan’s Hope theme song that I would be going back for the afternoon session. I really loved to nod to OLTL and that Delia is Ava’s mother – Kudos to the writing team at GH!!!

Michael thanks so much for posting this background info. I didn’t watch that one so I didn’t get the references. But the more I find out about Ron C. and his writing the more I love it. The classic references, jokes, and constant homage to different characters and soaps is fantastic. I really love it. Ron is an allstar in my book. Just when I think he can’t get any better, he keeps upping the anti.

Totally agree. Ron Carlivati is a wonderful writer with true respect for the history of soaps.

YeS, he is a good writer. ……..

but he gotta get cracking with Sam and Silas

I know some people was hoping Delia is Ava’s mom but that would had to mean she had Ava before she had little Johnny. when Ryan’s Hope first aired little Jonny was only a few months old and the year was 1975 and Delia was about 24. Delia grew up around the Ryans, I think they would have notice her dating a crime boss(considering Delia’s future husband was a cop and the Ryans were well informed in their neighborhood) to the bar and if she became pregnant out of wedlock.

Don’t ruin this with logic. Lol. I too know the ages and dates of all the rapidly aged children..and logic does not apply. Nicholas Newman according to the Y and R timeline has to logically be over 50 years old making his newfound older brother Dylan closer to 60. We just have to accept that soaps exist in a strange time warp. Actually,if you take the rapid aging of little Johnno Ryan out of the equation it is perfectly logical. Ava is in her early 40’s. Ryan’s Hope premiered in 1975. Delia was already well into her 20’s by that time. Anytime between 1970 and 1974 Delia could have had a fling with Victor Jerome. She didn’t have to be dating him. She could have had Ava without the Ryan’s ever knowing. It is an unbelievably creative way of givng a nod to RH without being bound completely bound by that show’s chronology or history. I bet Claire Labine wishes she was writing this story arc as Delia was one of her most memorable creations. Given that ABC only has one remaining soap and the fact that they own rights to many others…why not use fan favourites? There is potential to prove to the powers that be that soaps are still viable. They don’t even need to create a whole new show. They could make a hybrid show composed of all past popular characters. What a hoot that would be…”Shadows of Love in the City”. Even with Loving…you could write that whole murder spree off as a dream. Soaps are no longer bound by the past because writers are able to easily manipulate and distort what we watched. And we don’t care. Days of our Lives killed off half their cast on screen…we watched them die horrible deaths..
Donate organs…etc…and they all turned up alive. At one time on soaps…there was “soap dead” and there was “dead dead”. That no longer applies. I am all for any move that bringa the glory days of soaps into the present.

Your proposed timeline would work to give Delia ample opportunity to have birthed “Baby Ava,” and don’t forget how she was already an absolute whack-job from Day One on “Ryan’s Hope,” so anything off-kilter that happened prior to that period could be plausible. Also have to say that while I don’t see much resemblance between mother and daughter, Kiki and Dee (not to be confused with “Kiki Dee”…LOL) do bear a striking similarity in terms of build and facial characteristics…particularly when you recall KA as a blonde. Hope to see a scene with the two of them together, and love the idea about relocating her to Port Chuck….would be great to see her buy Kelly’s, and bring her hubby Roger Coleridge in tow to help run the place. Now THAT would be interesting!!!! Double takes anyone????

Your statement is poetry and I totally agree. I am happy to have the chatacter of Delia come back and now be a part of the GH family. I did not want to get my hopes up that she could be Ava’s mother so I went with cannon and plus they said that Victor Jerome use to take his mistress to Ryan’s so I said to myself there is no way the Ryans would not have notice the two of them in their Bar. I am glad to be wrong and I am keeping my fingers crossed she will be at the least recurring and at best a full time contract player because KiKi will need all of the grounded support she can, get when the truth comes out.

I never watched Ryan’s Hope, but will have “Roxy” back in any form. Please Please Please, weave her into GH for a long time to come. She only enriches the show even more !

Love this! Thank you Ron for respecting those of us that have followed these stories over the many years. Bringing back beloved actors & characters (with a little finagling, is such a blessing). I had almost given up on it all, but you and your team have restored the art of Daytime Drama.

Totally agree!!

Love Ilene Kristen, whether she’s Delia, Roxy, on RH, OLTL, or GH! Thanks to TPTB at GH for all the nods to the classic ABC soaps and their beloved characters. More please!

Classic! How about also bringing AMC’s Dr. David Hayward to Port Charles where fans can finally be treated to the long-awaited reunion with Anna. Hello ratings surge!

I think Anna has enough men to juggle currently. And GH cannot use AMC or GH characters because Prospect Park now owns the rights. And it is very doubtful ABC would ever buy the rights back because they made money off of it. They are not going to buy them back on “spec”, or in the hopes that Ron may be able to weave a couple characters into short term story arcs. And although clever as an inside joke I did not like how Delia exclaimed “Johnny.”. With the legal wrangligs over John McBain and others, it was like Ron was thumbing his nose at the whole thing…seeing how far he could push the envelope. He has shown very little respect for OLTL, the show that gave him his start. And if the black haired, dark eyed silas Clay reminds Delia of her son…the blonde haired, blue eyed John Ryan…hen he muat have changedan awful lot since we last saw him.

Right On Johnny You Go! Why do we not spend that money on a phone call from Laura to Lulu seeing how she is holding up with this baby jazz or is Laura catatonic again? Personally the actress who played Roxie/Delia drives me nuts.

She didn’t mean Jono (aka) her son..she meant Da (aka) the patriarch of the Ryan clan and owner of Ryan’s bar. Who, though he loved Delia, wanted to strangle her ditzy needy butt at every turn. Especially over his sons Patrick and Frank.

Ilene, fan frickentastic!

I don’t and never have understood her appeal at all (she is always gushed over in the soap mags) but it’s nice that Ron delves into soap history.

One of the best and unfortunately shelved couples was Roxie & Max. It would be fun to see them match Delia up with Luke. Just picture the interaction between Ilene & Jane Elliot. HA!

I think its great and dont forget Delias husband from Ryans Hope is Sonnys dad on GH they just havent shown him in awhile

Always loved Delia and Roger (Ron Hale). They were fantastic together.

I’m really hoping having “Delia” back will be incentive to bring Ron Hale out of retirement… but I’m not sure who I would want to see him as more, Mike or Roger!!

I wish they could work Delia into the GH family full time. I never watched Ryan’s Hope, but knew who the character was immediately! I love the way GH respects history!!!

LOVE this…….

I love how FV and RC bring back the old days/vets..
I love the sly humor..
when Delia/Roxy said ”’Johnny””!! and the looks on their faces, that was soap gold!!!
I laughed and smiled!! (rare to laugh and smile watching a soap, never have while watching Y&R, ever…… lol)

GH outshines all the soaps!! (full of awesome surprises!!!)

Loved her as Delia, loved her as Roxie, but just like with the three Llanview recasts, she is being written and even playing it a Roxie. I think this is just a FU from Carlivati to Prospect Park and their issues with owning the rights to One Life’s characters. SHe is Delia in name only. I love Ilene, so it’s great to see her in any role, but it’s lazy lazy writing, and not a homage.

IMHO of course.

Nice to see they reused another AMC set though–the new Ryan bar used to be Krystal’s.

If you watched her as Delia, then you should know that Delia was quite the character and was very similar to Roxy. Roxy was just a bit ditzier and mangled the english language. So I disagree with your statement.

Can someone tell me the music played in the scene when Sam and Silas was talking with Delia? ?

Sorry epic fail to me. Yes great to see Ilene but RC’s delia is not RH’s Delia. Where os the schemer. Also it seemed IK was playing Roxy playing Delia

So today Tuesday Delia admits she had Ava BEFORE marrying Frank. Then says that neither parent raised Ava and gave her number to give to Kiki

BS

If U watch early RH episodes Maeve talked about how Delia basically became part of the family since she was a preteen. Dee left NYC in 84 and moved to LA Coming back two years later. So If Ava was born it had to be in this two years (84-86) and not before her son, John was Born.

Im sorry Ron & Frank stp taking iconic shows and fudging with the timetables to make GH story work

Why not hire IK as a new role who is Ava’s mom.

I will be surprised to ever see IK as Dee back on GH again. This IMHO was a waste and a horrible way to ruin the bible of RH.

Claire Labine should slap both Ron & Frank in the face for doing this. Twice for Ron since claire hired him at OLTL in 1996. He threw Her & her soap under the bus and back uped again & again

Would you like tissue for the tears over them bringing back a character form a show that hasnt been on the in almost 30 years

Lol how true. If you can watch people and cities get frozen, have lived through watching an entire underground city that looked like something out of Flash Gordon (Eterna), and watch countless people come back from the dead , then GET OVER IT. The only thing riding underneath a bus is your mis-informed OPINION.

I grew up watching ryan’s hope (mary ryan was my first soap crush). I have great fondness and respect for Claire Labine’s characters (and work on any number of soaps).
I think she’d be thrilled at the nod to the show and the character.
if you want to be serious about “timelines” than you should have stopped watching soaps the first time a kind was sorased–which I think might have been Ryan Finelli who went off to boarding school as a grade schooler and came back as a hot 16 year old.
So lighten up–logic is not soaps strong suit. But anyone trying to breathe life into this genre with all the corporate and techological and ratings odds needs to be cut some slack.
Having Delia back for a couple of days is better than we could have expected for any of our much loved Ryan’s hope characters–and if it leads to an ongoing role for one of the best (and funniest) characters in daytime history.
This kind of selfrighteousness is going to be the last nail in the coffin of soaps.

Guys its MY OPINION. No reason to make fun & tell me I shouldnt be watching or Ill help Kill soaps. Ughh

Sorry But I would have been cool if Ava was born during the time Dee was absent from RH canvas but Ava being born first doesnt fit at all and Im sticking by it

Yes it’s your opinion and you have a right to it. So do the people who have commented on it.
My problem with your “…and I’m sticking by it.” is there have been plenty of other characters who have had the same thing done to them. Michael was born on screen in 1997, Kristina was born on screen in 2002 making them 5 years apart and should be 16 and 11 respectively. They were both SORAS’d to be not only older -but only one year apart. How can you accept that perfectly fine – but not this?

I respect your opinion and all but Dee couldve easily hid her pregnancy from the Ryans…my sister hid her pregnancy from most family and friends until she went into labor on Thanksgiving of all occasions and it was no longer a secret. Anyway, look how many soap characters have long lost children…Niki on Y&R never hinted she had another child until recently…Dee could do the same…..

And don’t even get started on viki/niki..who knows how many grown adults are running around clueless to the true nature of their birth?

It was great seeing Ilene again…loved her as Delia….

While it would be a hoot to have Delia on as a comic relief scene stealer…GH is top heavy with cast right now and there is a LOT of dead weight. They have Lucy and Heather and Tracy and Monica and Alexis all in that age range…all actresses with immense comedy chops. If they could do short term arcs like Port Charles did…minus the vampires and werewolves …that would be awesome. They could weave in all sorts of characters from past shows….advertise and promote the hell out o it…all the while maontaining the GH core. But the cast is far too bloated to include any of these novelties on a full time basis unless they commit full time and make it clear that it is no longer just GH….but rather a combination/hybrid program.

GH is not ”top heavy” with cast..
All those you mention are recurring ..
When there is story that involves them they will be active..
The vets returning are not on contract to have them in any other stories then the stories they are involved in.
GH has a main cast of a few all others are either guests/short appearances or recurring..
And that gives GH variety.. I love it, I never tire of seeing an actor when they are rotate..

when an actor/character is on screen 24/7 I tire of them and they turn dull..

I totally agree with you, Johnny. The recurring actors are taking air-time away from our veterans. There’s too many residents in Port Charles. Stories lose focus and become wayward.

Bring on more!

Loved, loved, loved it! Have watched the ABC soaps on and off since 1971 so appreciate seeing the “old” characters!

I Have Been A Fan Of “Ryans Hope” Since They Showed Re-runs Of It On Soap Net – Thirteen Years Ago;

I Wish It Was Still On TV, But Not On ABC Since They Treated The Show Like Dirt Especially That Whole Mess With GENERAL MOBSTER HOSPITAL & LOVING, Those Two Shows That Ruined ‘RH’s’ Reputation;

It Would Be Nice If Ryans Hope Was Brought Back To Television Just Like AMC / OLTL Was; That Would Be Great!

As For Delia On GH, This Was A Wonderful Treat To See; And Her Mentioning All What Has Happened To Her And Others Since RH Left: Delia Still Married To Roger Coleridge, Owning A Nightclub Called “Delia’s”, And Taking Over The Family Business Of Her In Laws (Johnny & Maeve) aka Ryan’s Bar With Her Son John aka Little John / John Reid;

WONDERFUL WONDERFUL!! Ilene Kristen Superb!!!

It Would Be Nice For Her To Come Back As Delia And Maybe Some Of Her Family On GH Too ex: Roger (Husband), (John) Son, Patrick (Ex-Husband), Lizzie (Daughter In Law) and her grandson Owen;

That Would Be Icing On The Cake; If They Had The Ryans And The Hospital Atmosphere Instead Of: Sonny And His Wannabes, Luke Spencer;

As For GENERAL MOBSTER HOSPITAL, Don’t Like General Hospital Still, Never Have;

But If They Keep This Up With Having Delia And Ryans Hope Related People On Here Not Every Day Of The Year But Reccuring, WOW! That Would Be Great To See;

Ryans Hope Has Been A Family Favorite Of Ours For Years;

And Besides Y&R, It Was My Mom’s Other Favorite Soap Opera To Watch;

Of Course I Was Too Young To Watch RH When It Was On ABC Until 1989 And The Fact It Was Canceled The Same Year A Few Weeks Before I Was Born;

Anyway I’ve Heard Of Ryan’s Hope. Love It, A Very Good Soap Opera!!!! I Watch Clips Of It On You Tube!!! Too;

My Mom Was / Is A Die Hard Fan Of Ryans Hope; And So Is The Family, I Am Irish Too Obviously;

So In Short, Glad To See This Little Blast From The Past So To Speak But General Hospital, Eh, Sorry I Never Was A Fan Of It;

To The Head Writer Ron Carlivati, Hope You Keep Brining Back Delia And Some More Ryan Family Members!!!!! If You Do, Maybe You Will Get Anew Fan: Me;

It Would Be Nice For Delia To Resurface With RH Related Things On GH;

Ryans Hope = Love It
General Hospital = Hate It!

Ryans Hope Would Still Be On ABC If It Wasn’t For General Hospital & Loving To Begin With!!!!

I`m a die hard Ryans Hope fan too! So glad Delias back.. can`t wait to see what she`s going to do.. and who she brings back with her!!

I thought this was brilliant and echo many of the sentiments that are so happy to see Ilene back as Delia.

An interesting thought, though, if they would somehow bring Delia to PC…On RH she was married to Roger who was played by Ron Hale. Didn’t he also star on GH as Sonny’s father? LOL!

Will Watch GH, (Even Though I Never Watched It And I Hate / Despise It) Only If They Are Going To Bring Back Ilene Kristen And Delia And Maybe More Of Ryan’s Bar And Roger (Ron Hale), Lizzie (Catherine Larson) (Delia’s Daughter In Law), Delia’s Son With Frank, Little John / Johnno / John Reid (Jason Adams);

That Would Be A Real Treat To Have RH On TV Again Even If It’s Just A Few Characters Here And There And On The Only Soap Opera I Don’t Like;

Would Love To See Roger’s, Patrick Ryan’s And Frank Ryan’s Reactions;

After All Delia Could Have Had A Long Lost Child And Ties

Because On Ryan’s Hope Her Father Was A Con Artist And Her Mother Was In The Psych Ward.

And don’t forget “Owney!” (Or is it “Ownie?”) Never knew for sure….. ; )

Not Saying But They Could Bring Delia + Few Others Back In The Future;

The More Ryans Hope Stuff On ABC in 2013 / 2014 / 2015 Will Watch So The Powers That Be: WAKE UP!!!!!!! And READ THESE COMMENTS AND LISTEN TO THE RYANS HOPE FANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bring On Delia’s Family

And Lets Have An Irish Family Back On Soaps Even If It Is The Soap Opera

I Don’t Watch, Never Cared For;

But seriously, how do you really feel about GH?

I think that it is great!!! 🙂 I watched it twice to see her twice!!! 🙂 They can call her Delia; but I call her Roxy!!! 🙂 Loved that part about Johnny!!! 🙂 If she is Ava’s mother, then she is Kiki’s grandmother!!! 🙂 She could also be Starr’s grandmother!!! 🙂 Love it; bring more OLTL people on!!! 🙂 How about Bree Williamson!!! 🙂 We need a little Vicki, and we need a little Gigi!!! 🙂 How about some Rex and some Ford?

WHAT WE NEED ARE ARCHER AND EASTON TOGETHER TRUTH BE TOLD! COME ON WE NEED OUR FIERY REDHEAD TO REVIVE EASTON FROM THE COMA HE IS IN!

Now Easton and Archer would be EPIC! Would love to see them electrify again!

How AWESOME that GH is bringing Ryans Hope back to life!!!!!
When I first heard Silas say a bar called Ryans, Ryans Hope popped right into my mind. I loved that soap (I have the last episode on tape as I do with all my beloved soaps as they ended one after the other 🙁 … When I saw Ilene Kristen standing there, and saying that her name was Delia Reid Ryan Coleridge. standing in RYANS, OH MY HECK YAY…. she is FABULOUS!! Ilene Kristen was Roxy on OLTL with Michael Easton as John McBain, (now known as Silas Clay). And then I thought who are they bringing back next, I can`t wait to see! Now this is real soap opera, I`m so sick and tired of all this mob crap,, if I want to watch mobs I`ll watch the Godfather!! Let`s get back to love in the afternoon, which is how they described soaps back in the day. I`ll forever miss my long gone faves, from Search For Tomorrow, right up to my last great loss One Life To Live 🙁 Oh how I`d LOVE to be able to watch them all again (I have the last month of both OLTL & AMC taped)… I think it`s time these much loved, incredible shows were put on dvd and on the shelves for all us dire fans to enjoy again!

SOAP OPERA ADDICT and proud of it!!
Blaze

Love Delia–I hope she stays on GH !

Blew my mind in a good way! Bring back Delia, bring back Ryan’s Hope and keep up the good work GH! GH rocks!

Well said ! My sentiments exactly!

The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be produced once again by NATAS and Associated Television International (ATI). Adam Sharp and Lisa Armstrong are executive producers from NATAS, while David McKenzie executive produces from ATI.
