The Summer Hotties Of General Hospital! Who Makes Your Temperature Rise?

Courtesy/ABC
It’s summer time, and for the men of General Hospital that means it’s time to go … shirtless!
And in this new promo from ABC, looks like things will heat up from the male GH cast line-up including: Ryan Paevey (Nathan), Ryan Carnes (Lucas), William deVry, (Julian), Dominic Zamprogna (Dante), Sean Blakemore (Shawn), Chad Duell (Michael), Bryan Craig (Morgan), Maurice Benard (Sonny), Michael Easton (Silas), Roger Howarth (Franco), Tyler Christopher (Nikolas), and Jason Thompson (Patrick)!
So we throw the question to the GH viewing audience, who makes your temperature rise of the guys and the characters in Port Charles? Watch the promo after the jump and then weigh-in!
Julian Jerome (William deVry)
Yes, yes, yes!!!
YEEEEESSSSS!!!!!
let them strip away, my fave is nathan and lucas, and michael too!
Silas. And he would have looked much better without Sam in that scene. Dante and Nathan also look great.
It’s hard to believe there are so many gorgeous people on GH. Nathan, Silas, Patrick are my favorites but I love them all. Always something to look forward to 5 days a week!!
Dante make my heat rise
and there’s a RISE in LEVI.
hate levi he is the one who called immigration on him self
How about hot storylines that sizzle instead of fizzle?
Agreed. I think this is the kind of promo you do when your advertising people look at the stories you’re telling and realize there’s nothing in them to promote. . . .
I think so too…
AGREED. So sad that is all they think GH has to offer but in fact, it’s true. The soap has become a cliche of itself.
GH has really turned into pure schlock. You can have attractive people and shirtless guys, but when that becomes your selling point it speaks volumes about the quality of your product and what you feel you have to do to get attention.
I continue to watch GH and find some entertaining moments but if i do miss an episode i dont bother to watch it later on demand like i used to…GH stagnates…it just repeats itself and hardly moves forward-Lucas, Brad and Felix switch beds every other week and Sonny and Julian make threats to each other and have mob wars every few months but nothing really happens except someone gets shot and their up and about by the following week, Scott, Lucy and Bobbi(the latter rarely shown with her family) are hardly ever shown enough for me to even care about them and their daytimes worse love triangle ever!…Rafe develops an edge and starts to become interesting but is killed off which i feel was a mistake…i could go on but im positive you know what i mean…ive gotten spoiled by Britians Coronation Street…it has a big cast and few story mistakes and disappointments but that is easily overlooked by its character driven stories that move…character who are poor to working middle class…who look like everyday people with real flaws dealing with realistic everyday problems we can all relate to and still be entertaining escapism!!!
I’ve only watched about three episodes in the last two weeks and just have no desire to catch up. Tuned in today and all the Nina stuff was just such a waste of time. MS just acting nutty in a way that is getting more and more difficult to watch and listening to her just recap everything to this point that had already been shown on screen in detail was also a waste. The dialogue was so forced and unnatural.
I just don’t know how GH gets better unless some new writers and producers are added to supervise, streamline and come up with some better ideas. We are far enough into this regime to see that they just can’t handle this size cast and are not able to integrate the stories and characters to give us the type of balance and continuity that other’s have and that we are used to.
If i read correctly the current cast has over 50 contract and recurring characters…far too many…some disapear for so long i forget they are still part of the show and no longer care about them…i say to balance the show and give it continuity they need to cut the cast by at least a dozen characters…also they need to bring the Qs more front and center…if Wally Kurth stays i say pair Ned with Olivia(im not a fan of hers but…) and make them the next Alan and Monica and make Tracy and Monica the next Edward and Lila…so far the ones id dump are Nina, Rosalee, Kiki, Levi, Brad, Felix, Sabrina, Franco, T.J.,…just to name a few and im still debating on others and if they should go or stay…Rafe shouldve stayed and paired with Molly…they shouldve went on a Luke and Laura type adventure as they try to learn who is responsible for bringing the heroin to PC…jmo!!!
I cannot really add to what Jim and GH50 say except Nina wasn’t at all what I expected. The day AJ died, we had to watch Silas cry and wax poetic about his sweet Nina. He’d tell tales of sweet and innocent Nina describing how angelic she looked in her private school uniform complete with knee socks and saddle shoes. I was picturing some sweet dimpled girl ( a Jenny Gardener prototype) and instead we get Endora, Samantha Stephens mother, siwrling around using her wheelchair like a broom. I fully expect to hear Nina call Silas “Derwood.”
Dr. Bombay, please come right away.
Amen, Harry….There truly was a huge disconnect between the preconceived notion of a kind, gentle and ethereal (Nina) creature that we were repeatedly given to expect and the actual mega whacked-out, witch-on-wheels wild woman version that burst onto the scene. That is one of the main problems with this bomb of a character….the other is that a Phyll-ina hybrid was not what most of us desired either. Overall, the verdict appears to be just another epic fail courtesy of Cartini…..their track record with newbies is atrocious!!!!
ohhh my!
GH is bursting with hunks..
ALL of them are awesome!!
No way to choose .. luv ’em all ..
Well, what a shocker!
lol…
LUCAS for me definitely!!! Love Ryan Carnes…
None of the others are too shabby either though…
Come on Frank cough up some more money for the wardrobe department– they can’t afford shirts for male cast members–those poor guys are going to catch a terrible cold if you don’t cover them up soon LOL.
Speak for yourself!
she did…lol…well, for me too…if the gals have to wear their tops so lets be fair and make the men too…lol
It always cracks me up when someone says,”Speak for yourself” when the person they are addressing never used words like we or us.
Ans Shay? I am also growing wearing of seeing the great abyss that is Alexis’s cleavage. I think they should put Geraldo Rivera on the case–maybe Al Capone is hiding in there.
And while they are at it, could someone please spring for a few modest tops for Alexis? I’m surprised she doesn’t catch a chest cold what with her constant cleavage flashing cries for attention.
@Harry….Thank you once again! And on that subject, it would be interesting to know exactly WHO does enjoy that pathetic non-stop peep show that Alexis feels compelled to offer up each time she “graces” our tv screens. Are there that many immature pre-teen boys or dirty old men that actually receive a thrill from her middle-aged flashes of immodesty? Anyone???? P.S. Al Capone could do so much better! Maybe Lord Lucan?
My temperature rises when Nathan come on screen. No, its not his near perfect body, its his acting skills he got from the Robot on “Lost in Space!”
That Bubble Headed Booby!
Julian, Nikolas, and Sonny. Love Alexis and Julian. I like Nik best with Britt. Sonny-has heat with most women! Please, not a Michael, Kiki, Morgan “love” triangle. Ugh. No chemistry. No heat. No spark. I fast forward during Kiki’s scenes.
Everyone on the list is fabulous, but my vote goes to Roger Howarth. Sexy and funny is a great combination.
Ryan Paevey is the stud of the show.
what a stupid question RYAN PAEVEY hands down
They overdo the shirtless. Too much of it ruins the appeal for me. Plus any guy that spends that much time in a gym to look they way they look is just a little too into himself for my tastes. I like guys who comes by abs more naturally…with a little mystery…who looks good in a tee shirt to an open collared jacket. Goodness, I can’t believe I just said all that.
I agree with you, Rose! The shirtless stuff is TOTALLY overdone. This girl goes crazy for a “sharp-dressed man!”
Me thinks Ron C. writes these shirtless scenes to fullfill his own fantasies…maybe if he had a dream about me shirtless that nightmare might just put an end to it…lol
@jimh…..The entire show now appears to be created for Ron C.’s wish fulfillment and amusement. That’s the problem….it would seem that the millions of viewers and their stated desires and interests are being totally left out of the equation.
You’re right Shay…Ron writes for himself and not the fans…i loved his outstanding work in his final year at OLTL…and i did like him at GH in the beginning but now my feelings are mixed…he has good ideas and the ratings are still up…that the good part but what ends up on screen looks like it was heavily edited…like some movies ive seen where they cut out too much that the movie doesnt make too much sense…you know what im saying…sorry my writing skills arent there…i used to write a lot better years ago but as i explained to some before continued medical problems intefer and i often do not get my thoughts written as well as i think them…its why i forget and add things later…but i still have a sense of humor…lol
@jimh…..I also enjoyed some of Ron’s outre’ touches at the beginning of his tenure at GH…there were some magnificently creative twists and flourishes that honored and respected the show’s rich history. But that was then, and this is now….it currently seems as if the Port Charles canvas has become nothing more than his personal chess board….it is no longer fun or logical, just one predictable move after another! There is no continuity, character development or gripping stories, just the same old, same old. I am holding out that the Cassadine/Jason/Robin arc may bring back the excitement, but I am not holding my breath. In the meantime, it is one mediocre moment after another with such subpar players as Nina, Gross-alie, Levi, Mickey D., Jordan, Felix, and the kiddie troupe. I’m completely bored! As for your contributions to this website, they are always lively and imaginative, and your memory seems just fine! You have made numerous references that have caused me to do a search, the latest being “Strange Paradise!” I had never heard of that show, so it was quite an education reading up on it. Just keep on doing your thing, jimh!!!!! P.S. I watched OLTL years ago, and as such viewed the final few ABC episodes that aired for nostalgia’s sake. Quite frankly, I was appalled at what I witnessed….the destruction of the venerable Buchanan clan was such a precipitous fall from when Asa was the JR of the North and his family ruled like royalty….in the end they were behaving like the most common of the common. Other than the Todd and Blair tryst, nothing even seemed very soapy to me….
Det. Sexypants of course!!
For me…MOST DEFINITELY William deVry (aka Julian)!!!!! That man is so RUGGEDLY F-I-N-E!!!!! And…the dude can act…which is EVEN BETTER!!!!!!
Until next time…deuces.
Julian Jerome hot hot man, William is one hot man, eye candy. LOL
Nathan Nikolas. Sonny of course is always HOT
Most of them are very hot…wouldn’t turn any away if we were just basing it on looks.
Using character’s names:
Nathan is stunning.
Silas (always John for me) is my type. He was looking way too skinny and drawn his first months on GH…he looks to me like he’s gained some weight back and I think he looks great. Like that lean, sinewy look.
Lucas, Dante, Patrick, Morgan…all great looking guys.
And then there’s Scott. LOL. I like him. Though he’s gained weight…I think he’s a nice-looking guy…
oh. and Nicolas…and Ned and Rick…Grrrrrrrr…let’s just say everyone and get it over with!
Nathan. All the way.
None of them…..seriously. Although I like Roger and Michael as actors just fine, I really don’t think that any of the men on GH’s current roster compare to the truly handsome devils that populated the soap operas of the ’80’s and ’90’s….it was just a bumper crop of immense male gorgeousness back then. Too many to mention, but Preacher Emerson (Charles Flohe/Grant) was a particular favorite!!!!! If anyone else agrees, let’s start naming names and comparing notes!!!!!
Preacher and Jody(Lori M.) were a favorite couple of mind on Edge Of Night…so were Logan and Winter(Lori C.), Mike and Nancy, Raven and Sky, Miles and Nicole, and Grand matriarch Geraldine with whoever she was paired with or by herself…loved Edge Of Night!!!
forgot April and Draper, Steve and Debra, loved them all!!!
Oh yes, jimh….I enjoyed the dashing Larkin Malloy as Sky Whitney, too, but Preacher was the one that really caught my fancy. I actually began watching “Edge” right before he arrived on the scene, and it was such a strange coincidence, because Mr. Emerson was a dead ringer—-not just physically, but right down to the expressions and mannerisms—-for a loved and lost beau who had recently moved away with his family, and it was all I could do to wait to race home after school each day to see CF on my tv screen…and weep! Oh well, there are worse ways to mend a heartbreak!!!! P.S. Also loved the late Elaine Stritch as the hilarious Mrs. DeGroot….she was a laugh riot.
And I wish the men would stop waxing their chests. Men are supposed to have a little hair on their chest.
I swear, Alexis has more hair on her chest than Julian does.
Harry, I loved your bewitched analogy about Nina that you put in an earlier post…it is hilariously accurate! LOL @ calling Dr. Bombay!
Harry, Harry, Harry…..When I saw this snappy little comment in my inbox, I just KNEW it had to be from YOU! Hah!
William devry is soooo sexy!!! He makes me want to be so bad!!!
William Devry is soooo sexy !!!! He boils my pool water!
The MAN is so BEAUTIFUL …
Kellie…Y-E-S!!!!! That William deVry fella is such a T-O-T-A-L H-U-N-K!!!!! As far as I’m concerned, his GH character (Julian Jerome) can kidnap me A-N-Y-T-I-M-E…Hee Hee Hee!!!!! Furthermore, Julian can FORCE ME to live with him FOREVER!!!!! Oh I am TRULY TERRIBLE…LOL!!!!! Oh, Well. And Kellie…your ‘pool water’ comment made me LMAO…GOOD ONE!!!!!
Take care, Kellie. XOXOXOXOXO
All of them, but especially TJ, Patrick, and Nikolas.
What about the “Dunglemeister” and “Diamond Dude?” Just kidding….
None of them except for: Lucas, Michael and Franco!
What about the ladies for guys like me…….
Alice. She is manly yes, but women like her too.
Michael!!! Wouldn’t turn any of them down though!
JULIAN, DET. SEXY PANTS, FRANCO, NED, MICHAEL, MORGAN, SILAS, AND SEAN ARE HOT!!!

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.
Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.
As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.
Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS
Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.
In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Courtesy/ABC
Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”
So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
