Vincent Stalba Joins the Cast of The Young and the Restless in the Recurring Role as the Assistant to Aristotle Dumas

There’s that name again, Aristotle Dumas! So many characters on CBS’ The Young and the Restless have uttered it, that it’s time to let everyone know just who it is already. Many fans surmise it’s actually an alias for the man or woman who is playing the business billionaire.

However, before you meet Aristotle, you will meet his assistant named “Carter” played by Vincent Stalba, beginning with this Thursday’s May 14th episode of the CBS daytime drama. According to Soap Opera Digest, Stalba will be appearing in a handful of episodes and is on recurring status.

Taking to his Instagram, Vincent teased his upcoming debut on Y&R saying, “New Headshots! These photos just helped me book my 1st series recurring, which you will see in 2 days on CBS!! Can’t wait to tell you more!”

Photo: JPI

Vincent has previously been seen in television and motion pictures roles including: Apple TV’s Lessons in Chemistry, Netflix’s The Vince Staples Show, the TNT series Claws, the CBS drama The Inspectors, and the FX’s TV movie, Hoke, to name but a few. Stalba also has a substantial career in regional theatre.

While Y&R fans know DAYS Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera) will soon debut in a brand new role on the CBS soap, the question is, will it be Aristotle, or someone else?  In story, we first learned about Dumas when Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) came to Genoa City. Victor (Eric Braeden) has apparently clashed with the guy over business but the two have never met. Aristotle has also made contact with “Billy Boy” Abbott (Jason Thompson), who would like nothing more than to stick it to Victor. Recently, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) has come upon text messages between Billy and Dumas. Will she dig deeper until the cat is out of the bag?

With Y&R bringing onto the canvas the character of Carter, one would assume Aristotle Dumas, will not be far behind. But what are your thoughts on when Dumas will appear and the casting of Vincent Stalba as the assistant? Comment below.

I can’t stand the character name and now they say it 20 times an episode

I’m bored with this storyline

Me as well…stupid

Yawn

He kinda resembles Anthony Perkins

I really believe that Drucilla is going to be Aristotle Dumas

Unfortunately Amanda when talking with Devon, Lily and Nate, says, Dumas is not a woman, but very much a man, so not certain your theory will hold up, but it would have been fun it was her.

Carter as Aristotle ?

Does anyone really care? Thanks to my DVR I have yet to weed off Y and R, but can watch usually 17 minutes, there is so much I fast forward through –

I do the same thing

Billy Flynn will be Dumas, you can’t have this much build up and not have a major soap star playing the character.

Since so much of this new character is link to the author of the book the Count of Monte Cristo I believed this character Dumas will be like the character in the novel someone everyone knows, someone accursed falsely of a crime and was run out of town. While away he had to get plastic surgery for some reason, to get a “new face” and now is coming back to town in disguise to seek revenge of those who drove him away in the first place.

My prediction, Dumas but will eventually be revealed as Cane – Lily’s ex husband. It would explain why he is interested in Winters and in Chancellor– Cane’s family had ties to organized crime which might be the reason he needed to change what his face looked liked. And just like the character in the Count of Monte Cristo, who went from being this nice guy who got stomped on to this man filled with rage– this new Cane will be edgier, tougher and more like his mob family background than the Cane who first came onto the scene.

He is the only character from the past that I can’t think of that could fit with the Count of Monte Cristo story– Unless Dumas is the real Adam Newman, and the present Adam Newman was indeed the character Gabriel Bingham all along– and they had some type of deal that Gabe would temporarily take his place but Gabe liked being Adam Newman so he had the real Adam stashed away then forgot about him– and eventually the real Adam escaped and build this new Dumas persona. But of the two choices that one would a stretch so my prediction stands — Dumas is Cane Ashby.

Kane is now on general hospital

I know the actor who used to play Cane is now on GH, and if you read my post I clearly stated the character would have a different face, for that very reason. Soap roles get recast all the time and anyone who watches soaps would know that. So Billy Flynn as Dumas could be a recast Cane, so where the previous actor who played Cane is not an issue.

You just answered my question about the new guy on GH. Lol

So, what exactly is Damien’s job with him?

The person who Dumas will be is most likely be D Winter to get revenge on everyone that did her wrong.

My guess is Aristotle Dumas is going to be Tucker McCall.

Yes, I think that too

I said it would be Tucker because Tucker is relentless and it is the only formidable opponent to Victor. It never sat well with him… how his Mother CC left things after she passed on. And now that Victor has the company he wants it back. Tucker is Dumas.

I hope so!!

Cane or Jill or even what’s his name the one who married Ashley

I think it’s Tucker McCall

I agree

Considering Billy Flynn is only 40 years old. Noah is my guess.

After Victor took the company away from Billy and Phyllis was already mad about being fired and Lily was upset about Victor lying to her and Audra I for sure thought Phyllis, Audra and Lily were all three gonna get together and do something… but yes, maybe Billy Flinn from days which I also watch days would fit in the role of Dumont real good because he’s used to playing that type of character.

I’m just hoping it’s someone NEW. I don’t want it to be another Tucker or Cane. I want it to be someone mightier and more diabolical than Victor Newman, someone who can actually outsmart and outmaneuver Newman. Victor needs to have major payback for his deeds; he’s gotten away with too much in 40 years. That leads me to my “theory” about Dumas’ identity– one of the few people to actually outsmart Newman was Lori Brookes, and I’m hoping it’s her son who has come to continue revenge on the man who stole much from the Brookes’ family. I noticed last week on a rare outside-the-front doors set of Crimson Lights the newspaper stand with the Chronicle– old Stuart Brookes’ paper (this was a front line plot the first decade of the show.) I thought it weird to show the paper, and I’m hoping it’s more than a red herring. One glitch in my theory is Dumas’ interest in Lily. We shall see.

I think it’s someone who knows everything about everyone. Someone who has an interest in the following sinarios. If you remember it was mentioned he’s not going after Winters, he wants Billy Boys allegiance not really Jabot, and wants to go after Chancellor. Didn’t really want Phyllis there so she got a pitty invite, last minute. Then you got to have the rest of the cast to go for the other story lines to continue.
So here’s the reasons, he’s a relative of Winters, Billy Boy got screwed by Jill over Chancellor, feels he should have been in charge of Chancellor not Jill.

I think it’s Tucker, Devon’s dad, Catherine’s son who wanted Chancellor and is angry Jill got it and wants it back. Billy got screwed but Jill so who better than that to help get Chancellor from Victor.
What do you think?

Now that we know it’s Billy Flynn I’m starting to think it might be Noah.

Those are great suggestions and some ideas make sense. I think it’s Victoria’s ex(I can’t remember name) or it’s actually still think that Dumas is female aka Mamie.

Sick of story line. Bored.

‘General Hospital’s’ Asher Antonyzyn Teases When Danny Finds Out Rocco Shot Cullum and Jason Took the Blame, Relationship Status with Charlotte

Published

on

By

On General Hospital, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) cannot just sit idly by why his father, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was dragged away by the WSB for shooting WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes). As Danny one day will find out, it was Rocco (Finn Carr), his brother, who did the deed, and Jason covered for Rocco to protect him. Thus, Danny feels all alone in this world without his dad.

In addition and in recent scenes, GH viewers saw that Danny is considering and wanting to get into the mafia like his dad. He had gone to see Sonny (Maurice Benard) about it and wound up in a conversation with Ric (Rick Hearst) and Sonny. Afterwards, he overheard the men talking about Sidwell (Carlo Rota). So, Danny knows that Sidwell had something to do with Jason disappearing too.

On Sunday, Asher Antonyzyn joined his TV dad, Steve Burton and Burton’s That’s Awesome Podcast partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) for an all-new episode, where the young actor was able to articulate his feelings and thoughts on Danny’s current emotional state and situation in Port Charles while his dad has been taken away to who knows where.

Photo: ABC

MY BROTHER, MY FATHER

When asked how Danny will feel when he learns Rocco was the person who shot Cullum, and who is dad took the fall for, Antonyzyn shared, “Danny still doesn’t know that it was Rocco who shot Cullum and and all that. He still thinks, ‘Why would my dad do this (and shoot Cullum)?” Then, they take him away. When he does find out, I think he’s going to be pretty upset that his dad is being wrongfully accused, and that this entire time Rocco has just been watching Danny struggle through it all and he hasn’t said anything. I’m super glad Danny and Rocco are eventually going to go at it. They’ve been like brothers and they are so close to each other. I’m excited that they will get a little conflict with each other.”

Asher also also shared Danny’s impulsive nature is a big part of the story. “Right now, I think it’s about the anger that his dad was the only person he kind of had left. In the stuff that will be coming out soon, it seems that his dad’s the only person he can trust. So, he’s just missing that relationship and seeing Rocco with his family, and Charlotte with her family, and just all of that. He is just really upset that his dad was wrongfully taken from him.”

JOINING THE MOB

The young actor also explained, because of Danny’s upset, it’s what drove him to wanting in on the mob. “Danny went to Sonny and Rick not knowing where to start, as he was just so angry. He just wanted ammunition, ans he just wanted to do something”. Asher added, “Danny just couldn’t just stand there anymore. So, I think him hearing the name “Sidwell” gives him like a target to try and do something to get his dad back, just so he feels like he’s doing something.”

Photo: ABC

One of the hot topics on social media a few months back occurred when Charlotte and Danny (Bluesy Burke) shared a kiss. Fans were screaming how they were related. Well, it seems from Asher’s comments, that entire potential romance had been sidelined.

CHARLOTTE AND DANNY BESTIES FOR NOW?

“There was for a hot second (something between them). Danny and Charlotte had those scenes together,” Asher stated. “They (Charlotte and Danny) really didn’t really know how to go about it. I mean, Danny talked to his grandma and his dad about if they were related and they said “distant cousins” like great grandfathers, great-great grandfathers, but at the end of the day, still related a little bit.”

Antonyzyn clarified where Charlotte and Danny are with each other, as of now. “So after that, they had one scene together and they’ve kind of realized that it’a like a Jason and Carly (Laura Wright) relationship where they have so much love for each other that they don’t feel like it’s right to go into something like that again.”

You can catch the full conversation with Asher, Steve and Bradford below.

Now let us know, what do you think Danny will do with the intel when he finds out that Rocco shot Cullum and his dad took the fall for it? Are you glad it seems that Charlotte and Danny seem to be no longer a romantic young teen romance? Do you think Danny will go after Sidwell, and get entrenched at Wyndemere? GH’s Dominic Zamprogna On How Dante Plans to Deal with Lulu and Rocco’s Cover-Up After Learning His Son Shot Cullum

Published

on

By

By the end of the Friday May 8 episode of General Hospital, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) with the help of Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) put two and two and realized, that his son, Rocco (Finn Carr) is the person who shot WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) in the back, and was the person who Jason (Steve Burton) was protecting.

This revelation hits the police commissioner like a ton of bricks, especially when he realizes his ex-wife Lulu has been in on the secret and not telling him about it. So, where does Dante go from here? In a new conversation with Soap Opera Digest, multi-Daytime Emmy nominee, Dominic Zamprogna shared what viewers can expect.

Zamprogna expressed on Lulu and Rocco not coming to him for help, “He gets that the reason they probably didn’t want to tell him is because they’re worried that he’s too by the book, but this is his son! He has a lot of anger over them not telling him.”

Courtesy/ABC

KEPT IN THE DARK – COMING INTO THE LIGHT

Armed with the truth, Dante’s caught between a rock and a hard place, “This puts him in a situation where he’s potentially going to do things that he wouldn’t normally do, and that’s a big deal for him. Dante having to confront these people for lying to him is going to be good drama and conflict. There is huge emotional fallout from all of this. It has a big effect on his relationships.”

Next week, look for Lulu (Alexa Havins) to be the first-person Dante confronts, “Alexa is so good in those scenes. She is such a powerful actress. But as far as Dante and Lulu go, I could see it taking them a very long time to heal from this, because of her lack of transparency.”

A THANK YOU TO JASON

As far as what Jason did for his son, and how Sonny’s enforcer was grabbed by the WSB and sent away, Zamprogna knows Dante will have a lot of thanking to do, if and when they connect on-screen when Steve Burton returns from his hiatus this summer.”

“Like we needed another reason to love Jason,” Zamprogna scoff, but acknowledging how Dante “definitely (is) going to be owing Jason big-time when he gets back to town!”

So, the once happy family of Dante, Rocco and Lulu is about to fall apart, but can they all work together to keep Rocco safe? Just wait till Dante finds out that his buddy “Nathan” is really Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) ! Something tells me in the end he is going to save Lulu from the guy.

Now, let us know are you looking forward to Dante confronting Lulu and Rocco? How can he protect his son in his position as police commissioner? Will he just look the other way? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section.
