Y&R’s Chance & Sharon Romantic Dance; Song Selection Revealed

Many fans of The Young and the Restless posted comments on this site, as well on social media inquiring as to the name of the song that Chance (Conner Floyd) and Sharon (Sharon Case) danced to at Crimson Lights on the July 25th episode of the CBS daytime drama series.
Well, it’s been found! In story, Chance went to the jukebox and hit ‘play’ and the tune came on as the duo got closer in the empty coffee house and the song played on
Now, Y&R’s music supervisor, RC Cates, revealed in a tweet, that the track is called Lifeboat by Crit Harmon and Dave Coffin. Now you can download it to your playlists and stream it anytime on major music platforms including Spotify, or Apple Music.
As in many soaps, a use of a song is a great vehicle to weave various stories and the emotion within them as the episode comes to its conclusion or a special montage within it, or for a cliffhanger. On this episode, “Lifeboat” played through scenes featuring: Phyllis, Adam, Nick and Sally, Jack, Ashley, Tucker. Billy, and of course, Chance and Sharon.
You can listen to the track on You Tube below as well.
So, are you into Chance and Sharon’s song? How are you feeling now about a Chance and Sharon romantic pairing? Rooting for them? Let us know in the comment section.
I think they are great together and I hope this goes a long way because although I love nick I love sharon with chance more
Glad you feel like them together. Personally, it’s too much—she’s old enough to be his mother. Give Sharon a role she can appreciate with someone closer to her age. She’s acting like a schoolgirl—shy after the fact with Chance. I guess it comes naturally for the actress since she does this in real life—
Then there’s Jack and Diane—i FF when they were in bed. I wanted to gag.
Hello Celia. I do agree with your Statement on Jack and Diane but Not So Much with Sharon and Chance. They would be a Great Couple, since it’s no longer a thing with Sharon and Nicholas.

Hi Tina. Yes, I do too. I’d love to see Nick and Chance become a Couple on Y&R.

I hope what you wrote is a typo because to me it’s disgusting!
I read somewhere that chance drops Sharon and goes to Summer. I,m sick of this. So frustrated.
Yes, it kinda looks that way after Today’s Show. I was thinking the Same.

Not surprised, they were pretty friendly today. I also liked Adam’s conversation with Phyllis, I bet he’ll help her with Tucker. I don’t trust him as far as I could throw his scrawny butt, and I do not believe Ashley is in love with him, despite sleeping with him, etc. ITS like she’s lost all reason and her pride and dignity just to get at Diane.
Well, the handwriting is on the wall. It’s only a matter of time when Sharon will become too busy and involved with the new business and Chance will get closer to Snowflake and her problems, poor guy!
Honestly, I try to block out (or mute) these vacuous pop songs.. they “pop up” in every show and rarely have any connection to events onscreen. That said, I like this pairing. Abby was such an emotional albatross on Chance, examining and dissecting his every move. He and Sharon are actually two adults with a shot at a healthy relationship.. though I could do without those goofy sex scenes. Imagine reminiscing years later and saying, “Our first time was on a well-worn couch in a glorified storage room in a coffee house.” Ugh!
Sharon and Chance are horrible..
Their sex junk looks like two amateur wannabe porn actors..
It’s a silly/funny fail at porn sex actually..
We laughed a belly laugh at their attempt at hot sex….
Chance has no sex appeal with Sharon and
no passion, no tender for-play just porn-failed sex LOL…
0ooh well, a good laugh is always welcomed..
and the dance, naw it was not hot chem..
Imagine their dance without the emotional music bwa..
Thank you, SusueQ—What the heck is wrong with these writers? I did feel a vibe with Chance and Summer—not fair to use Chance this way—she’s frickin too old for him. Chance will never “expand” as a character bound by silly Sharon. Even her mode of dress suggests she’s living in a make-believe world. Wake up!!
Nope. Not feeling it.
Anyone knows the song Chance and Abby was dancing to? November 24,2022 episode. When Devon walked in
The more I see Chance and Summer together the more I like he and Sharon, just wish she wasn’t always telling everyone what to do, think and feel with her half-ass phsyco- babble, it’s just annoying. Just let the guy think he’s got the answers once in awhile.
Violet–I haven’t seen you for a while. you worried me 🙁
And– Sharon’s half-ass psycho-babble, is now being played by (drumroll)
Chelsea, yup….have you not noticed LOL…
Sharon and Chance will be a short fing imo..
When Summer gets her sass back she and Chance will sizzle..again imo..
oohh gawd I hope Summer and Kyle never reunite..
ooh and–Sharon is 52 – Chance 31 —
and he looks uncomfortable doing the sex thing with her sorta force,
could be he 20 yeard diff/.
Yes, yes and yes!! Chance and Summer will burn the set when they finally get together. The sexual tension is there—and age appropriate—
Summer will make both Chance and Kyle weep, for different reasons. Get lost, Kyle!!
HI Celia… we may not agree about Shance but I sure am with you on Kyle. What a lowlife he turned out to be. And he has the gall to believe he “outsmarted” Adam? Not on your best day, chump. Along with Victoria, there needs to be some major comeuppance “a’comin’ “. Sorry, digressed into Sophia Petrillo again.
Hey, Soaphound—sorry for the delay. It’s been a crazy couple of weeks.—gotta catch my breath.
I will never accept granny Sharon with Baby Chance. But, it is what it is. I am not liking this Sharon. What is going on with her? Her face-job has gone to her head. She’s acting so out of character.
Kyle is an idiot, and Audra is a you know what.
What will Victor do when he realizes Audra and Kyle hurt his granddaughter? Awww. I miss Sofia—I miss them all.
Hi SuOOO,
Thanks for thinking of me,I’m hanging in there, enjoying the Soaps and bitching about them, nothing new. I truthfully don’t like any of the couples here except maybe Michael and Lauren. I’d like to see some sexy guy come and sweep Tracy off her feet, she’s such a sweetheart. Keep well my friend, it’s hot as hell here in Calli.
Hi Violet…I’m with you on liking Michael, Lauren and Tracy. Not many to trust or like on any soap. As for Sharon and Chance I don’t like them together and not because of age differences. They keep trying to find a better story for Sharon and for me the Cameron, the new business and Chance are a big fail. And Chance, keep away from Summer. She’s trouble. Wonder if soap viewers would have “bitched” as much years ago as they are doing now from the comments I see. And this applies to not just soaps but real life as well. Keep well and cool. :)))
Awww, Violet—say it ain’t so. LOL. I guess I take it too personally—I could never see myself doing it with a guy young enough to be my son, if I were Sharon’s age. EWWW. I used to love her—now I pity her desperation.
To mention; Mariha 33 is older than Chance..
IMO- Chance is forced into sex scenes with a woman two decades older than him and he isn’t into it, it’s forced.. Chance is not a cougar hunter, not into old women..
Hey, SusieQ—I agree—but, more importantly, this makes Sharon look so foolish—and as I’ve already said, desperate. The writers keep doing this. We can all tell her face looks like it’s been stung by bees. Such a beautiful face did not need that. It does not erase her age. Stupid storyline—“ain’t” gonna last. So why?
Hi Celia,
I’m not crazy about Chance and Sharon either but for me it’s the lessor of two evils. I just can’t stand Summer, too spoiled, etc.
Yea,h, Violet—typical rich girl—LOL—but, Summer has changed and I do admire her loyalty to her mother—as any daughter should. But Sharon? She’s a mother figure for Chance, not a lover!?!?! I think it’s disgusting . But Sharon is known to do disgusting things—like when she married Victor and got “down” with him. Yuck and disgustoso.
These two melt the screen. Charon are adorable and sweet and a nice change from all the corporate, Newman and Abbott hijinx. Keep them light and sweet. The two came together naturally and it’s been really well told and the actors have beautiful chemistry!!!
Hi, Damien—nice sentiment, but she’s still past menopause—too old for baby Chance, who’s younger than Mariah and Noah. As far as coming together naturally? Nah—the writers did that—LOL.
Seriously though—we all have different feelings about this mother-son relationship—It works for you, and that’s great!!
A Pretty Song! Thank you for Playing it on The Young and The Restless with Sharon & Chance.

Kelly Monaco Celebrates 20 Years on GH and Sam’s Evolution: “All the Pieces Don’t Fit Perfectly Yet, But It’s Certainly Not Broken Anymore!”

Sunday, October 1st will mark the 20th anniversary of Kelly Monaco’s debut on General Hospital as Sam McCall. And as the story goes, when Kelly finished her run on Port Charles as Livvie Locke (2000-2003), and the show had been canceled, the three major networks were all interested in her to join their soaps.
In the end, GH won out and fans of the ABC daytime drama series have been the lucky ones to have Monaco join the A-list cast of the iconic soap. Throughout Sam’s journey in Port Charles, viewers have seen quite the character growth. Sam started on the show as a con and hustler, and bloomed into a bonafide heroine and a private investigator.
Kelly shared with Soap Opera Digest in their latest issue, how she viewed the Sam of old, to the Sam of today: “Sam came on to the canvas only having herself and her brother, always taking care of someone, and never being taken care of. I think the biggest evolution for her is starting from being a really lonely, scared woman and becoming a woman who is still really independent, but is protected by family and friends and love and relationships and loyalty, and she never had that before.”

In a very poetic way, Monaco added on her character’s development: “She came in bent and broken, and I feel like there’s a lot of her that’s still broken, but she’s constantly sort of putting the Rubik’s Cube together. All the pieces don’t fit perfectly, yet, but it’s certainly not broken anymore.”
Throughout Sam’s two decades in Port Charles she has been in love, suffered terrible lost, found family members, had children, and has been involved in some of the most dangerous and criminal cases involving many a villain as she tried to help bring them to justice.

Currently, Sam is involved in a romance with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Viewers wonder if Lulu ever wakes up out of her coma, would that spell trouble for their relationship, and in turn, give Kelly some great meaty story to work with?
Now, in the comment section below, share your congrats to Kelly for her 20-year-run on GH. Then let us know, what has been your favorite Sam story over the years?

Heche was officially declared ‘brain dead’ on August 12th, when her reps shared that Anne was “peacefully taken off life support.” Before she passed, Anne taped what would be her final TV acting appearance in her recurring role on the legal drama, All Rise.
The series formerly with CBS and now airing on OWN, will air Heche’s last performance this Saturday, September 30th at 9pm ET/8 pm CT. On All Rise, Heche plays lawyer Corrine Cuthbert. Since season 2, Heche has taken on the recurring role. She appeared in six episodes.
