Viewers who caught the Wednesday, October 16th episode of The Young and the Restless saw that Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) learned the severity of their son, Noah Newman’s car crash while in Los Angeles.

In story, There was apparently a lot of damage to his face and skull from the accident. The police informed Sharon, that Noah lost control of his car and landed in a ravine. He was alone at the time. Sharon doesn’t know who found him, either. The surgeons informed Sharon and Nick that Noah is in a coma. They also went into his room at the end of the episode, and witnessed his head completely bandaged and breathing via a ventilator.

This paves the way for the new Noah to make his first appearance in the weeks to come, with former Days of our Lives actor, Lucas Adams (ex-Tripp Dalton) taking over the role that was last played by Rory Gibson (now, Michael Corinthos, General Hospital) in 2023.

Now, in the latest issue of TV Guide Magazine issue date of October 16th, Adams revealed he will be making his debut on the top-rated daytime drama series on November 4th. The storyline will eventually reunite him and reconnect him in story with his former DAYS TV mom, Tamara Braun (ex-Ava Vitali), who just debuted this week as Y&R’s Sienna Bacall.

During his TVG interview, Adams spoke about having the opportunity to reunite with Braun: “I’m so excited, it’s like coming into a new place and I have a friend that I know well. I already have an anchor here, which is really cool.”

Adams played Tripp Dalton on and off on Days of our Lives from 2017-2024 and along the way earned himself a Daytime Emmy nomination.

So, what do you think about how Y&R is setting up the debut of the new Noah Newman? Looking forward to seeing Lucas’ debut? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

Why the mask? The role hasn’t been on air for at least three years – and who remembers how many actors have played the part. The plastic surgery storyline is lame.

I agree. The picture of Lucas with Tamara above, he actually looks like he could be Rory’s cousin with blond hair. A recast is a recast, and there Is no need to write changes of actor portrayals into the storyline, especially when it has been a very long time between castings. We just want great actors and storylines, especially for legacy characters. Hopefully Noah will finally arrive back in GC with a solid story for years/decades to come. We need him to have a kid…

I know—I don’t even remember who the last Noah was or what he looked like.

He is the current Michael on GH!

Probably not the real Noah, so the plastic surgery will be the way to pass off an imposter as “Noah”. See my post below for details on my theory.

So, there’s an investigation on Noah’s car accident. Claire will show up at the hospital with Holden. Is he part of the scheme to target the Newmans? Is the interest in Claire meant to facilitate the means to an end?

I’m on the same page…. I think it’s a cover-up as well. The detective is covering for somebody up for somebody. I think the girl from the bar will be the key to that.

I do not like Kyle—too self involved —that new guy—the investigator looks very familiar. Great match for Claire!! Also, Phyllis and Cane. ❤️

I recognize him too – he was on General hospital- he played a Dr who had an affair with Ava. He was also a priest.

He also had an affair with Kiki (Hayley Erin)…who is now Claire…

You want to put Claire with a bad guy? I don’t care for how hateful they are making her out to be right now but she doesn’t deserve to be with bad guys…and Holden is no good guy either.

I am ready for him to debut!

Robert Adamson should have been asked to play Noah again, he was awesome and he was an awesome fit with Sharon & Nick. Again, the idoits that make these dumb decisions should be fired..

I do so agree. He’s a good actor and for many he was cemented as Noah. I like Rory a great deal but will never understand why Robert Adamson was replaced. What a waste.

There are reasons he was not asked to reprise the role, as well as not welcomed back to General Hospital as Michael.

Spill the tea ☕️

Why? Spill the tea!

I don’t think he is the real Noah because as others have pointed out there is no reason to have an accident to explain his change in appearance.

This will be elaborate con to get access to the Newman fortune. Whoever this guy is, he is working with that Sienna woman and the cop. They staged the accident to make explain the change in appearance to Nick and Sharon. The accident got a bit more serious than intended which resulted with this guy’s brain injury– which means he will forget who was really was, and since everyone is calling him Noah, he will think he is Noah.

Other clues this isn’t Noah, include Sharon and Nick saying when talking to Noah lately he didn’t seem like himself– how “Noah” was asking them to come to LA, asking how long they will be there– things like that, but this whole “damage face” screams, this isn’t going to be Noah– either that or I have been watching soaps way too long that I think in twists instead of trusting the story being shown.

As a soap follower for 40 odd years, you can just tell what’s next. And some sceme is happening, just haven’t figured it out yet

Judith Light Reveals She Originally Picked ABC Show About Soap Opera Writers Called ‘Staff of Life’ Before Landing ‘Who’s the Boss?’

Published

Two-time Daytime Emmy winner, primetime Emmy winner, and two-time Tony Award winner, Judith Light was the very special guest on the Thursday, June 18 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Light was on-hand to promote her two current projects.: The AMC+ anthology series, The Terror: Devil in Silver where she plays Dorry and Disney+ and Marvel’s The Punisher: One Last Kill where she plays Joy.

During the discussion with Clarkson, who is a huge fans of Judith’s work dating back to her leading role as Angela Bowers on Who’s the Boss, Light recalled the transition from leaving her signature soap role of Karen Wolek on One Life to Live, to her first foray into the world of TV sitcoms.

STAFF OF LIFE VS. YOU’RE THE BOSS

Judith explained, how she landed her role on Who’s the Boss, when in actuality, ABC had Light in consideration for three shows all at once and the one she picked to initially appear in was about soap opera writers!

“First of all, I had been this girl who came from the soap opera,” recalled Light. “I went in and I read for the producers, and I read one scene, and then they said, ‘Could you read another scene?’ And I said, ‘Yes, and can I read another scene and another scene?’ I ended up reading the whole script for them.”

Next, Judith added, “There were three shows I was up for at ABC and it was called ‘You’re the Boss” at the time and I didn’t pick that one. I picked another one, which was called Staff of Life.I picked it because I thought it was like a sign that I was supposed to do this because it was about a bunch of soap opera writers. So I thought, ‘I’ll pick, Staff of Life.'”

However, that was not to be! “This is where the universe comes in and says, ‘no, no, no, no, no.’  I had done an audition with Tony Danza and there was a wonderful director named Bill Persky, and we did the audition together. And he said, ‘That’s the chemistry’. He said, ‘That’s it. That’s where the show lives.”

Amazingly, Light shared, “I hadn’t picked that. I hadn’t put it in first place, but all the executives at ABC had seen the audition. They said, ‘No, we’re not putting her in Staff of Life. We’re putting her on You’re the Boss!”

PRIDE MONTH AND JUDITH’S CONTINUED ADVOCACY

June is Pride Month and one of the LGBTQIA+ fiercest advocates for decades has been Judith Light. Clarkson asked Judith how she became so involved in the cause for equality for the community.

“I was losing my friends,” simply explained Light. “When you’re in the theater community and you start reading about this one you’ve lost, somebody you haven’t seen for a while, and then there’s another person that you’ve lost. Also the injustice of this, of the way the people in the LGBTQIA+ community were being treated. I thought that I could say something. I had done this movie, called The Ryan White Story.”

“Ryan White was this extraordinary young man, and he died of AIDS, and he was very connected with Elton John, and they were friends,” shared the actress. Ryan was being interviewed on the Phil Donahue Show, who was extraordinary and has since passed. Phil was interviewing Ryan and he said to Ryan, ‘Your community didn’t treat you well, and if somebody else in your community had HIV and AIDS, how would you have been?’ Ryan said, “I would be scared of it, but I wouldn’t have been cruel.”

You can check out the entire conversation between Judith and Kelly Clarkson below.

Now, let us know. Would you have like to see Judith in a TV comedy about soap opera writers? Did you love her as Angela Bowers on Who’s the Boss? What do you think of her continued and tireless advocacy for the LGBTQIA+ community? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
