On Wednesday’s episode of The Young and the Restless, as an unconscious Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is now covered in a bed by a blanket, Claire (Hayley Erin), who previously spiked the tea Nikki was drinking with some drug, hovers over her using Nikki’s cellphone.

Next, Claire pretends she is Nikki and sends a text to Victoria, Victor and Nick letting them know she’s “spending the night” at Claire’s Aunt Jordan’s house. After Claire exits the bedroom and closes the door behind her, we see an intercom. And we know what intercoms mean on soaps, don’t we? Nikki is locked up!

Later, when Nikki finally comes to and as she sits up, she says, “What is happening to me?”  Nikki realizes she is being held hostage as her purse and phone are nowhere to be found and she has no way to escape out of the bedroom.

Downstairs on the sofa, Claire sips water and listens to Nikki cry out, and does nothing. In the bedroom, Nikki flashes back to arriving at the lake house and being served tea by Claire, and recalling Claire’s ominous threat, “Soon, everything will be as it should.”

Nikki tries to calm herself, but she is getting more and more upset as she realizes something is so terribly wrong. Next, Claire’s voice comes through the intercom and Nikki shouts, “Claire! Why are you doing this to me?! What do you want? Why are you doing this?” The only thing Claire says is that there is water and cans of food for her and a can opener in the armoire.  Claire tells Nikki, that she promises that all the food and the water is safe to drink and eat.

“My sister is expecting me,” cries Nikki, but Claire fires back, “No, she isn’t. You made it very clear you were surprising her.” Nikki realizes that Claire is one step ahead of her. Just then, Claire tells Nikki she has to get back to Genoa City to make all the other arrangements.

What Claire says next was very telling. She assures Nikki she’ll be with the “rest of her family soon, so there’s no need to panic.” But, how can that be? Unless Claire is somehow related to her, and whoever Claire is working with is too. Nikki shouts, “You leave my family alone.”  We fade to black.

So many questions for viewers left to question and consider: Who is behind this plot against Nikki and her family? Is Claire related to Nikki and if so, how? Which enemy from Nikki’s past could be the ringmaster here? Weigh-in on your theories in the comment section below. And make sure to visit You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel next Monday, November 20th for a special live chat with Hayley Erin about her arrival in Genoa City and this latest mysterious storyline.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jacinda Executes Her Plan to Drug Willow, Jason Tells Tracy He’s Out of the Mob, Sonny Quits Too!

Published

On the Thursday, August 6 episode of General Hospital, Sonny (Maurice Benard) seemed to get a clue from Jason and also decided to leave the mob. Speaking of Jason (Steve Burton), he went to tell Tracy (Jane Elliot) that he quit working for Sonny, which Tracy says would be music to Monica and Alan’s ear.

Michael (Rory Gibson) gets caught in Serena (Kelly Kruger) and Lucy’s (Lynn Herring) scheme, and Jacinda (Paige Herschell) slips a blue pill into Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) iced coffee as payback for the restraining order she filed against her. All this, as the closing arguments from Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and Martin (Michael E. Knight) are delivered before the jury in the Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner) court case.

Let’s break this all down: In the most heartfelt of scenes, Jason shows up at the Qs to see Tracy. He explains he told Sonny he can’t work for him anymore and quit. He tells Tracy he has to be a better role model for his son, Danny.

GETTING OUT OF THE MOB IS EMOTIONAL

Jason gets teary-eyed. Tracy says what Jason wants for Danny is all that his parents, the late Alan and Monica Quartermaine would have wanted for him. A gutted Jason feels so badly for his previous behavior towards his parents and wishes he could apologize for all that he put them through. Tracy says if they were here now, they would be happy that he had come to this decision for himself.

At Sonny’s, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) gets an earful from his father, who informs him that Jason had decided he wanted out of the business for Danny’s sake. Suddenly, Dante is worried for Sonny’s safety. However, Sonny says he shouldn’t be. Sonny claims he’s getting out of the mob too and plans to focus on business opportunities that opened up after Sidwell’s arrest. (This makes no sense, because Sidwell was involved in shady dealings too!) Next, the two men hug it out as Sonny explains he won’t be a problem for his son with the PCPD anymore.

At Nina’s (Cynthia Watros), Willow wants her mother to stop confiding in Jack Brennan about her children. Nina explained to her that her quest to reopen the investigation into Michael as a suspect in Drew’s shooting, could implicate Jack, since he had gotten rid of the traffic cam footage of Willow, the night she shot Drew. Nina is mortified when she also learned Willow has a restraining order against Jacinda.

JACINDA WANTS PAYBACK AIMED AT WILLOW

Jacinda asked Ezra (Daniel Cosgrove) to return the blue pills she’d left at his place a few months back, claiming she needed to take the edge off after Willow served her with a restraining order. She explains Willow wants her nowhere near Amelia and Wiley. Ezra is concerned for his escort/friend.

Later, Jacinda arrives at Nina’s where she runs into Willow. When Willow and Nina leave the room, it leaves Jacinda to spot the iced coffee lattes marked for Willow and Nina.  Next, she slips one of the blue tablets into the cup marked “Willow.”

Elsewhere, at the Metro Court Pool, Serena Baldwin lays on Michael’s pool chaise lounge chair. When he gets out of the water, he goes over to his chair only to have Serena laying on it. She gets a bit flirty, but explains she is concerned for her mother and Deception. Michael explains he will vote fairly with his shares given to him by Maxie. (You can check out the scenes entitled “Ambushing Michael” below).

Now weigh-in: Do you think Sonny is truly going to get out of the mob? And take up some of Sidwell’s, of all people’s business opportunities? Did you enjoy the touching scene between Jason and Tracy? Do you think Nina will wind up drinking the coffee that is laced with the drug Jacinda put in it instead of Willow?

Do you think Willow is going to try to paint Michael as a bad father and use drugs against him as well? Do you see a spark yet between Serena and Michael, or no? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section.

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS: Nikki and Victor Renew Their Wedding Wows

Nikki and Victor

On the Wednesday, August 5 episode of The Young and the Restless, it looks like the wedge between Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor (Eric Braeden) is all but forgotten, after several months of a strained marriage ,when the two have a sort of makeshift wedding ceremony in the Newman living room.

In the last few months, a vengeful Victor sent his nemesis Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) out to sea, only for Jack to be stuck on a boat with a returning Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk), while Nikki developed headaches which turned out to be a tumor on her optic nerve. After having surgery, it was touch and go for a minute when she returned home to the Newman ranch. At one point, she was completely blind post-surgery.

However within a few episodes, she could see again and Victor came to his senses that he loves Nikki and does not want to be without her.  The two make up. Former Y&R head writer, Josh Griffith had previously teased that Nikki’s medical condition would draw the two together, but it sure looks like this part of the story got wrapped up quick. But, is it?

HOW VICTOR SURPRISED NIKKI

In story, Nikki returns to the Newman ranch from shopping and she sees Victor has set the living room with candles and roses. He asks her if she has any plans for tonight and then brings out the ring she gave him back when they split up.

“I wish you would marry me again,” says Victor. Then, Nikki responds, “I would marry you a thousand times over.” Suddenly, Nick (Joshua Morrow), Michael (Christian LeBlanc), Abby (Melissa Ordway), Claire (Hayley Erin) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) walk into the room.

Nick is supposed to be in rehab, so Nikki checks on him and he assures his mom that a little family time will do him good. Victor announces, “We’re getting married.” Michael will officiate. Suddenly, Nikki realizes she cannot get married dressed like she is.  Victor tells her to go upstairs. There is something waiting for her. An excited Nikki takes Victoria with her to get ready for the wedding.

THE NEWMAN FAMILY COMES TOGETHER MINUS ONE

At that point, Victor and Nick have a father/son chat, where Victor learns that Noah (Lucas Adams) and Sienna (Tamara Braun) left town to go back to Los Angeles. Nick hopes that Noah will be back one day soon. When Nick asks where Adam (Mark Grossman) is, Victor tells him that he and Adam had a falling out over Newman Media.

Nikki has now come down the stairs in her blue embroidered wedding dress. Victor says, “You take my breath away.” Michael begins the short ceremony as Victor and Nikki will exchange personal vows. Victor confesses that the thought of losing Nikki forever broke his heart. Nikki tells Victor he is her world. Michael tells Victor to put the ring back on Nikki’s finger and they kiss and that’s the wedding.

In the final moments of the show, after everyone else has toasted the couple, Nick gets up and shares, “Love can conquer all.” We fade to black.

So, are you glad Nikki and Victor already reconciled? Did you want them apart for longer, or do you like them being happy together? Let us know via the comment section  And, in case you missed it. Check out the Michael Fairman Channel’s latest interview with Eric Braeden where he discussed the state of Victor and Nikki’s relationship and working with his co-stars that included everyone who attended Nikki and Victor’s reaffirmation of love on today’s Y&R.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Christian Howard Makes One Final Return as Ethan Lovett, as Hudson Learns Damning Intel

Published

on

By

The Tuesday, August 4 episode of General Hospital brought with it another appearance by Christian Howard in the role of Ethan Lovett. As previously reported, Howard was brought into wrap up Ethan’s storyline as Nathan Dean’s four-month run with the show came to its conclusion.

Now, it has been 100% officially confirmed that today was the last episode of Howard as the recast Ethan. In story, Ethan was now seen in Oslo, Norway after hightailing it out of Port Charles after Hudson (Troy Lennon Appel) had showed up looking for him at the Metro Court pool in Port Charles.

On the July 31st episode, Ethan made a beeline to Lulu’s (Alexa Havins) grabbed his bags and headed out of the country without saying goodbye to Ava (Maura West), who he just had spent the night with.

However, on Tuesday’s GH, it was also the day where Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) finalized baby Phoebe’s adoption for Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard). This was juxtaposed with the action in Oslo where Hudson showed up at Ethan’s hotel room door. He demanded immediate answers about Delilah and the baby. Ethan told him that both Delilah and the baby she carried died.

ETHAN’S LIES CATCH UP TO HIM

Hudson is livid. The two get into multiple altercations with Hudson getting the upper hand claiming that Ethan is a thief, who had “stolen from the wrong man.” At that point, Hudson delivered a beatdown on Ethan. Next, he threatened Ethan that he will go after his entire family if he finds out he was lying to him.

Back in Port Charles at the Metro Court pool, Ava is lamenting about Ethan’s sudden disappearance to Trina (Tabyana Ali). Later alone, she gets a call from Ethan telling her to never reveal that he’s not Phoebe’s biological father. Cut to: Hudson out in the hotel hallway listening in on the call through a bug he planted in Ethan’s hotel room. Hudson then takes off. The final moment of Ethan’s is him sprawled out bloody on top of the hotel bed.

A GH rep told Soap Opera Digest that “the door is open for Ethan to return to Port Charles” in the future. And as previously reported by TV Insider, when Nathan Dean signed on for his four month return, it was due in part to that he and his wife announced back in March they were expecting a baby.

So, now that Christian Howard has officially exited the series marking the end of the story for now of Ethan Lovett, what are your thoughts? Obviously, we will look for Hudson to return to Port Charles and infiltrate the Quartermaines lives especially Brook Lynn and Chase to get close to Phoebe, and then there is Ava, who may be in terrible danger, or is she? Share your thoughts and theories.
