On the July 4th episode of The Young and the Restless as Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) commiserate over their Connor’s recent episode of his OCD, the two exes try to calm their nerves with some booze, and take a stroll down memory lane, all leading to the two of them left in tears over their son.

Adam does his best to comfort Chelsea, as she blames herself for the situation. Eventually, Chelsea locks lips with Adam and the two wind up hitting the sheets in a moment of passion and need.

At the same time, Sally (Courtney Hope) and Billy (Jason Thompson) are commiserating over feeling helpless for Adam and Chelsea over how difficult it must be for them as Connor’s parents. Sally suggests maybe they should leave town and surprise them, but Billy puts on the brakes it doesn’t think it’s a good ideas as it would come off as possibly intruding on a family matter. Little do they know what just happened in a hotel room with the exes.

Meanwhile, Kyle (Michael Mealor) is vengeful against his mother and his father, as he looks to be taking Victor’s (Eric Braeden) off to come work for him, Knowing this, Jack (Peter Bergman) heads over to see Victor in his office and their longtime feud reignites.

Jack tells Victor you want to come at me, leave my son and wife out of it.  Victor brings up the night Jack lost his sobriety while supposedly helping Nikki stop drinking. As the two battle it out in a war words, Victor levels the biggest threat, that Jack will never see what he has in store for him coming.

Kyle and Diane (Susan Walters) have an argument over Kyle’s spiteful attitude, but he says his own mother fired him from the company business. When Jack returns from seeing Victor, Kyle doesn’t hear what he wants from Jack either and is moving out with their grandson, Harrison.

Nick is having a drink with his dad, when Kyle shows up. After Nick (Joshua Morrow) leaves, Victor asks Kyle why he told his father that he was coming to work for him.  The end of the episode shows Adam and Chelsea in bed, looking guilty and upset for what they apparently just did.

So, what did you think of Adam and Chelsea? How do you think Victor will take down Jack? Comment below. But first, check out our interview with Michael Mealor from last month’s 51st annual Daytime Emmys red carpet, where he teased how everyone in the Abbott famil will backstab everybody and more.

I wish Kyle Abbott was a smarter character. Everyone is too old and honestly, should be too smart for this feud to play out as it did 20, 30, 40 years ago. I’d like to see something new and fresh.

Well then you need to give this show up lol new fresh ?? You have a 83 year old man repeating the same crap for years a 70 year old man same routine. But hey help is on the way Sharon will soon burn down something

I am not looking forward to Sharon’s new thing. Faith has already noticed her behavior as did Mariah and wife. Sharon has two beautiful daughters, a granddaughter, etc.and all she can do is dwell and obcess over Cassie, who’s been gone for years, right in front of Faith. Of course we know this is her meds that are wreaking havoc with her Bi Polar, but it’s annoying, until it’s diagnosed. She’s getting so close to blaming Daniel all over again, who was drunk but Cassie insisted on taking the wheel. Very sad for everyone.

Hey, Violet—Sharon is still mourning Cassie—always has, silently. I lost my boy over a decade ago. The pain never goes away. Those of us who have lost a child or grandchild know that the sorrow is for life. Sharon has tried but is losing the battle. I just don’t like what the writers are doing to her. And, why has faith turned into such a heartless snob?

Characters may be restless, but they haven’t been any “young” in the storyline for a decade.

I may be in a minority but I always hoped Adam and Chelsea would get back together.

As for Kyle, he has become so arrogant and full of himself, and really unlikeable.I didn’t think he was qualified to become co-CEO when he was in that position anyway; plus I don’t know why Jack even needs a co-CEO anhyway.

I’m sorry to see Jack and Victor’s feud reignite. I sort of liked scenes with them at least being civil.

I agree with you about Kyle. He needs to get out of his own way. And I am also a fan of Adam and Chelsea. My favorite Adam and Chelsea moments were with Michael Muney playing Adam. Adam helping her get her high school GED, and especially his marriage proposal in the rain. After what has been going on with Conner lately, I knew this was going to happen sooner or later. I think that Jack was just trying to be fair with Diane and Kyle by keeping them both in the same position. But Kyle needs to grow up a bit.

Michael Muhney was the only Adam once they fired him they should have let the character stay dead the same with Billy once Billy Miller should have stayed gone.

What ever happened to the kid Christian ? This is the storyline that MCE was bragging about a few weeks ago?

I have been thinking about Christian as well. They need to have Nick finally take him out of the house so he can see what his home town looks like. I mean if Johnny and Katie are as old as they are, I am sure Christian must be in the same age group give or take. I am sure he is way above and beyond the babysitter and bedtime story stage.

Victor’s reason for going after Jack is so ridiculous! Move on! Adam and Chelsea, I am sure everyone saw that coming. Adam was foolish. He fought to get Sally and he blew it to hell!! Does Chelsea turn

To continue my last post, does Chelsea turn up pregnant? I say yes, because no one uses protection on soaps.

Hmmm—I wonder—- Will this “hit the sheets “ thing be your run-of- the-mill episode resulting in a pregnancy.? Years will go by before the baby’s paternity is revealed.

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.

Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.

As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY

Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.

Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS

Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.

In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”

So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.

This week on General Hospital begins with the ABC soap opera’s 16,000th episode which brings Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) back to Port Charles after being released by the WSB; all thanks to the deal made between Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Z (John Oliver).

On the same episode, the upshot of Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) coming face to face, and seeing each other for the first time in months plays itself out, and it may not be how you think.
