THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS: Is This Jordan’s Best or Worst Disguise?

By Michael Fairman

Published

on

On the Wednesday, April 3rd episode of The Young and the Restless, as Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) continues to fight for her sobriety, a “man” shows up at Society just after Nikki is seated at a table by Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), while awaiting Jack (Peter Bergman).

The “man” is now at the bar, and it’s clear that it’s Jordan once again on the loose and in disguise. Previously, she has donned some other wigs and get-ups to seemingly slide by the Newman family and the cops.

In her latest plot, Jordan tells the bartender to make a vodka for Nikki and slithers out of the place. When the waiter brings Nikki a drink and says it’s courtesy of the gentleman at the bar. Nikki asks who is it? The waiter turns around and says he must have just left. When she asks what’s in the drink, it turns out, it’s triple distilled vodka. Nikki shouts, “Please, take it away!”

Now shaken, Jack does some digging and the bartender tells him, he has never seen the “man” before. That makes Nikki more convinced that Jordan has an accomplice. She says, “Am I being watched all the time everywhere I go?” Nikki knows she needs to get away. Previously, she told Jack that Victor (Eric Braeden) wants to take her on vacation, but she was concerned that alone time on a trip will make her want to drink.

Take a look at Jordan’s latest disguise in the clip below.

Now let us know, is this the most clever or the most ridiculous of Jordan’s look to slither around Genoa City? Share your thoughts in the comment section.

Isn’t the entire show wearing a disguise lately

The entire show is a joke but hey Eric Braeden is on for five days a week . So everything is ok saying the same crap he said ten years ago

LOL..

Actually, I thought the makeup was quite good. In addition to the facial hair, they changed the color and texture of Colleen’s facial complexion. I bought it.

Just not on board with this storyline. Too contrived.

Its a good disguise, especially for daytime. That Jordan lady is working on a great audition for an Emmy!

Hello, there, Timmmbo!!❤️

When all you can talk about is an actress’s make-up, that tells you volumes of how bad the story actually is.

I am so sick of everyone complaining about this show, then why the hell are you watching it, other than just to give you something else to bitch about? I think it’s good with a lot of different story lines going on and not all on one note.

You are exactly right should not watch anymore

I’ve been watching since 1981, Y&R has seen some great times, and sadly bad times, like right now. The renewal they just got is likely the last renewal they are going to get, since their audience continues to dwindle below levels that GL and ATWT were at 15 years ago when they got cancelled. I would love nothing better than the show to flourish again, but it can’t with the current EP and writing staff. Y&R has the best actors on daytime, but an actor is no good without a decent script…that is what is lacking right now on the show.

Hey, Violet. —I think those of us who are “devout” watchers of Y&R watch because we’ve been doing it since forever—. I was a tot. I grew up watching the show. It’s like family—hard to give up. And, I always await a shuttering bang or compelling storyline with bated breath!!

Hi Celia, you are so right. It’s like family, you don’t desert them when they are having hard times and stick with them until they get their stuff together. That is my feeling , unless the show gets unbearable, I try to hang in there. My very best to you, happy viewing!

Here! Here! Sister! As you stated about non-viewers, proven point. Beautiful hee I think with that great statement I will have me a Mimosa

I thought it was so good, who’s to say it was really Coleen in the getup, could be anyone they picked, a crew member, a stand-in?

This is the most ridiculous storyline! Over the top acting and it’s nothing against Colleen Zenk, because it is what she is being instructed to play. Tucker and Audra? Do we really care? Why should we be invested in the relationship between two devious people? And don’t get me started on Daniel and Heather! The scum got what he c deserved!

She is playing pure camp ugh and Bill Bell would have stopped this instantly. Everybody knows Bill Bell would not write this nonsense

As far as Tucker and his Slut, I sure agree, but Heather and Daniel didn’t set out to get back their MOJO as they say. Lily got caught in the mix and I don’t know if I’m going to like a relationship between Lily and Nick. I am also sick of Nicki and her “illness” and Ashley and her crew. Its getting tiresome.k

Wow Violet, I guess it’s ok for you to rant and be upset, but nobody else can. Got it.

Guess I am getting old, so would you please point out which reply I was ranting and raving , because I can’t find it, but me calling you a jerk is not a rant, it’s a fact!

Agreed, Lew. I always thought Lily was the love of Daniel’s life—now, it suddenly changed? Heather is one of many on the show who makes my hair stand on end—everything about her is creepy and Lucy, too.

I agree with Violet. If you don’t like the show then don’t watch. I like almost all the storyline except Chancellor Winters and Connor. Jordan is a great villain and the male disguise was odd but convincing.

I think she is an exceptional actor. However, this storyline is getting fatiguing and a little too dark for me.. The young woman playing her niece is also rather exceptional. Her face seems to easily shift from one emotion to another. Perhaps because they are rather “new” their talent rises to the surface more easily than those “we” have known for so many years.

I agree. I love the gal that plays Claire and when she played Kiki, Ava’s daughter on Gl as well. Anyone who ever saw Coleen Zenk has got to appreciate and welcome her on Y&R where she’s done an exemplary job. It is now time to say goodbye though, enough is enough.

Eileen is undoubtedly amazing——non-pareil, nonetheless, the show is driving me nuts—-stop it!! Especially the Nikki/Jordan debacle.

I can’t with this. It’s like a Sheila Carter repeat.
