Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Sharon (Sharon Case) have both become unsuspecting victims in Ian Ward (Ray Wise) and Jordan Howard’s (Colleen Zenk) latest plot for revenge. On New Year’s, while Phyllis is driving, she has flashes of the truck that ran her off the road when she careened into a tree.  =She realizes it wasn’t Sharon.

Later, she tells her children, Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and Summer (Allison Lanier), that she saw an older woman with wavy hair and glasses (Jordan anyone?). Summer says they need to tell Chance (Conner Floyd). Phyllis says she won’t hold Sharon accountable for the car crash, but she won’t let her off the hook for framing Daniel for the death of Heather Stevens.

Meanwhile, Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), Mariah (Camryn Grimes), Faith (Reylynn Caster) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) are reeling from seeing Ian Ward outside of Society. After Nick calls the cops, the policewoman tells him that Ian’s story checks out and he is out of prison. Nick is infuriated when Ian goes on about being a man of faith. The cop says Ian’s story check out as the prison chaplain. She says there is nothing she can do and walks away from the scene.

Ian tells Nick that he is determined to prove that he has been redeemed. A completely distrustful Nick tells Ian that if he does anything to cause anyone he loves distress, he will make him wish he was never born.  Once back inside Society, Nick wonders if Ian could be the one who doctored Sharon’s meds. Everyone becomes alarmed that they haven’t heard from Sharon, but Faith insists they go to the tact house to get her to join them, so Nick goes with them. When talking with Tessa, Mariah realizes that Ian is back for her and she will fight to keep her family and their daughter, safe.

Nick and Faith realize Sharon is not at home, which sends them into a frenzy. Nick fills Victor (Eric Braeden) in about Ian. Meanwhile, Ian returns to the his motel room with Jordan. He is happy to see Sharon bound and gagged and chloroformed on the bed. Ian has plan to kill Sharon and frame Phyllis for her death. Ian wants to dump Sharon over the bridge, just like Sharon did to Heather as “poetic justice.”

Jordan wants to get to her part of their agreement to go after Claire (Hayley Erin) and the Newmans. Beginning to feel she is being played, Ian manipulates her by stating his warped plan that Sharon’s death will leave Mariah inconsolable. The only thing that will help her during her grief is the love of a parent. He plans to be that father figure. Ian tells Jordan that him winning over Mariah will give them an entree to get close to Claire.

So, do you think any part of Jordan and Ian’s plot will work? Share your thoughts on the next leg of this story via the comment section below.

I don’t get this revenge plot. If it’s criss/cross, then Ian should have went after Claire and Jordan after the Newmans. Jordan didn’t think this one through. Ian’s going to double cross her big time!Lew

I’ll be so glad when this part with Ian and Claire’s aunt is over and done with and please , please DO NOT BRING THEM BACK INTO THE SOAP ANYMORE!! PLEASE.
Also, Where is Elaina???? You bring her back on the soap and we’ve only seen her two or three times!!! What was the point in that if you’re not going to show her like you should??? Also, Devon and Abby? That should’ve never happened that definitely needs to change as well. Never was a good/great match from the beginning. Especially now that she’s not going to be on as much anymore. So, put Elaina back with him (Devon) and definitely leave Nate and Audra together they make a good couple. So does Nick and Sharon,Billy and Chelsea or Phyllis and last ,but not least put Adam and Sally back together as well. The saying “change is good” is a definite must with this soap starting with Ian and Claire’s aunt following by Devon and Abby splitting up and you know the rest.

Only watch Y&R. Ian and Jordan are too dark for me. Hope this storyline has a fast finish. The new designer is evident. Looks like the new Newman mansion has been cleaned up a bit. Nikki appears a new woman. Victor’s inordinate interest in all of his family is uncomfortable bordering on most unhealthy. Never liked how the various businesses were pulled in and out shifting in employees, however, I record and truly enjoy most when I get to catch up.

Will this happen this year 2025 or will that happen on Christmas Day 2026, sometimes things go on for months and months, I have dementia so I can watch it 55 times. Get on with it. GEEZE

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.

Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.

As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY

Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.

Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS

Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.

In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”

So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.

This week on General Hospital begins with the ABC soap opera’s 16,000th episode which brings Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) back to Port Charles after being released by the WSB; all thanks to the deal made between Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Z (John Oliver).

On the same episode, the upshot of Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) coming face to face, and seeing each other for the first time in months plays itself out, and it may not be how you think.
