Genoa City’s Harrison Abbott will look different starting with the upcoming Friday, April 12th episode. Y&R has revealed that young actor Redding Munsell is taking over the role.

Prior to Redding, actor Kellen Enriquez had originated the role of Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) son since 2021. In story, viewers first learned that Kyle even had a son (and so did he!) when Tara Locke, and her husband, Ashland Locke arrived on the scene.

Later, Tara went to prison for embezzlement. After that, both Ashland and Kyle shared custody of the little boy until Locke died in 2022. Eventually, Summer became Harrison’s stepmom, but although ‘Skyle’ was on the outs and divorced, she did not waiver in her commitment to help raise the boy.

As for Redding, he has appeared in the film, Red, White, and Blue which was nominated this year for Best Live Action Short Film at the 96th Academy Awards. In addition, he is getting ready to star opposite Sylvia Hoeks in the upcoming feature, Hurricanna.

In fact, Redding will share screen time with two other daytime favorites in Hurricana, since both A Martinez (ex-Cruz, Santa Barbara et al) and Michal Nouri (ex-Steve, Search for Tomorrow, et al) are part of the cast.

Wow, wasn’t expecting that.

Agree. Maybe there is story involving Harrison in the offing. Pregnancies and surprise children are such soap tropes but boy, once kids are part of the family they are rarely seen.

I’m glad the part is being recast.

So am I.

I agree

I am very, very glad they have recast that character. Not that Kellen wasn’t good enough it’s just a boy is aging now, and should be played by an older boy.

Nothing personal agains the other little boy but that role needed to be recast. He barely could say two words and he always looked scared. I wish him good luck but I am looking forward to a kid that can interact with the cast. My guess is that they have a big storyline involving Harrison and the original kid couldn’t cut it.

Good grief why don’t they change Nicki’s hair color so the screen writers could get run over by the public?

It would be nice to hear a little bit about where the young actor who was originally in the role is going next and why he is being recast?

That little boy is adorable but I think they should have let him look more boyish, bad enough all the older men with the overall hairy look, not appealing to this lady and I bet I’m not the only one.

They should recast Connor, Harrison I felt was a wonderful child actor just not enough dialog.

I think, as cute as he is he just is not experienced enough to verbally interact too much, he seems too shy and really doesn’t like the interaction. With the possible kidnapping by Jordan coming up, they just need a kid that will speak up a little more or stamp on her foot, etc, be a brat if need be.

I kinda like the other actor win the role but in recasting they chose a kid that is NOTHING like him…he is much smaller: different color and style of hair … just different all together. I would think they’d try to keep some semblance of looks in any recast. Guess not.

The boy that was previously playing Harrison should still be playing him Don’t like the recast itvstiks

Tuc Watkins (ex-David Vickers, One Life to Live) continues to be booking role after role, and now comes word that the Llanview soap alum has joined the cast of Escorted, the upcoming comedy series from and starring Ted Lasso and Shrinking star, Brett Goldstein.

According to Deadline, Tuc has signed on for the production of the series, where he will play the role of Neil, who looks like a cowboy. However, here’s the catch! Neil is a trainer at a high-end gym and a male escort to wealthy woman on the side. Shades of Llanview’s David Vickers, for sure!

In the premise of Escorted, a divorced Manhattan dad, played by Goldstein, accidentally becomes a male escort in a romantic comedy about sexual dynamics, keeping secrets, and whether real intimacy can ever be bought.
