You can’t keep a bad guy down, and as rumored and predicted, Roger Howarth is back taping all-new episodes at The Young and the Restless in his latest soap opera incarnation as Matt Clark.

The Daytime Emmy Award-winning actor revealed his return to work this week, via a photo posted on his official Instagram story, and in the pic you see his name taped to a parking spot at Television City where Y&R is taped.

Viewers of The Young and the Restless have not seen or heard from Matt Clark since his last appearance back on the January 20 episode of the CBS daytime drama series. In it, Matt was dragged out of the trunk of Nick’s car, brought into Sharon’s (Sharon Case) house, where she, Nick (Joshua Morrow), Sienna (Tamara Braun), and Noah (Lucas Adams) all had the opportunity to have him on “trial” in their kangaroo court and tell him what they thought of how he terrorized each of them.

Next, Victor (Eric Braeden) ordered his henchmen to take Matt to the main house. We later saw Matt stashed in what looked to be a closet, when Victor opened the door and the two had a tense moment, and that is the last we saw of him.

During a recent live interview with Sharon Case on the Michael Fairman Channel, Joshua Morrow said of the importance of keeping Roger Howarth around in story as Matt Clark: “I don’t care where they go with the story, as long as it allows us to keep Roger Howath around. I think he’s been a tremendous, I love his attitude. He’s given this character, to me, something really interesting to watch. I’ve seen on social media a few people like, ‘What a waste,’ because now he’s a bad (guy) and whatever. And I’m like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ I think he’s exploded in this role, and he’s going to give the show multiple reasons to keep him, and to make him even more dynamic and scary and riveting and all that stuff. I think this is a tremendous opportunity for Roger and our show to really craft something new and exciting.”

It was back in August of 2025, that Howarth was revealed as joining the cast of the top-rated soap opera, although what role he was playing was kept under wraps. Viewers did not know his appearance was tied into the “LA noir mystery” story that was promised by Y&R’s executive producer and head writer, Josh Griffith.

Later, when Howarth actually made his on-screen debut on October 31, 2025, he was playing a character named Mitch Bacall, husband to Sienna. However, audiences soon learned when Mitch had a run in with Sharon outside his LA club, The Shadow Room, that Roger was actually playing a recast, Matt Clark.

Since Roger had just returned to taping all-new episodes, viewers should expect a Matt Clark sighting sometime in March.

Now in case you missed it, you can check our chat with Joshua Morrow and Sharon Case where they talk about the return of Matt Clark into the story after 25 years and more, below.

So, glad to hear Roger Howarth will soon be airing again as Matt Clark? When he reappears, do you think he will already have escaped the clutches of Victor Newman? How will he plot his revenge? Share your theories via the comment section.

Yay!

Please give Roger Howarth a long term contract! He’s exciting, handsome and well worth keeping around for a long time!

So Josh Morrow said, “I don’t care where they go with the story, as long as it allows us to keep Roger Howath around.” And that’s the problem with Y&R. The story. They are awful. Griffith is an awful storyteller. The fact you can make a paycheck, and not care about the story, is simply amazing. I know actors have little to no input on the stories they are given, but come on Josh….his stories are bad. You can bring in the best actors in town, but if the crap they are given to work with is just crap, what good is it? Y&R is losing in the demos, they are down. Price is Right’s margin in total viewers is GROWING over Y&R, not even close any longer. This whole Mariah story…pathetic. Nothing makes much sense any more in Genoa City. Keeping Roger Howarth around doesn’t fix the problem.

This right here. Despite loving the talented actors from Y&R, I had to give it up after watching for over 30 years. Life is too short to watch boring, redundant and uncreative stories. Roger Howarth is an amazing talent but not enough to bring me back to watch dull, listless stories. The problem is nothing is going to change as long as the ratings hold steady and for some inexplicable reason, Y&R sustains its number one status in the daytime drama category. I don’t get it.

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS: Nikki and Victor Renew Their Wedding Wows

Nikki and Victor

On the Wednesday, August 5 episode of The Young and the Restless, it looks like the wedge between Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor (Eric Braeden) is all but forgotten, after several months of a strained marriage ,when the two have a sort of makeshift wedding ceremony in the Newman living room.

In the last few months, a vengeful Victor sent his nemesis Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) out to sea, only for Jack to be stuck on a boat with a returning Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk), while Nikki developed headaches which turned out to be a tumor on her optic nerve. After having surgery, it was touch and go for a minute when she returned home to the Newman ranch. At one point, she was completely blind post-surgery.

However within a few episodes, she could see again and Victor came to his senses that he loves Nikki and does not want to be without her.  The two make up. Former Y&R head writer, Josh Griffith had previously teased that Nikki’s medical condition would draw the two together, but it sure looks like this part of the story got wrapped up quick. But, is it?

HOW VICTOR SURPRISED NIKKI

In story, Nikki returns to the Newman ranch from shopping and she sees Victor has set the living room with candles and roses. He asks her if she has any plans for tonight and then brings out the ring she gave him back when they split up.

“I wish you would marry me again,” says Victor. Then, Nikki responds, “I would marry you a thousand times over.” Suddenly, Nick (Joshua Morrow), Michael (Christian LeBlanc), Abby (Melissa Ordway), Claire (Hayley Erin) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) walk into the room.

Nick is supposed to be in rehab, so Nikki checks on him and he assures his mom that a little family time will do him good. Victor announces, “We’re getting married.” Michael will officiate. Suddenly, Nikki realizes she cannot get married dressed like she is.  Victor tells her to go upstairs. There is something waiting for her. An excited Nikki takes Victoria with her to get ready for the wedding.

THE NEWMAN FAMILY COMES TOGETHER MINUS ONE

At that point, Victor and Nick have a father/son chat, where Victor learns that Noah (Lucas Adams) and Sienna (Tamara Braun) left town to go back to Los Angeles. Nick hopes that Noah will be back one day soon. When Nick asks where Adam (Mark Grossman) is, Victor tells him that he and Adam had a falling out over Newman Media.

Nikki has now come down the stairs in her blue embroidered wedding dress. Victor says, “You take my breath away.” Michael begins the short ceremony as Victor and Nikki will exchange personal vows. Victor confesses that the thought of losing Nikki forever broke his heart. Nikki tells Victor he is her world. Michael tells Victor to put the ring back on Nikki’s finger and they kiss and that’s the wedding.

In the final moments of the show, after everyone else has toasted the couple, Nick gets up and shares, “Love can conquer all.” We fade to black.

So, are you glad Nikki and Victor already reconciled? Did you want them apart for longer, or do you like them being happy together? Let us know via the comment section  And, in case you missed it. Check out the Michael Fairman Channel’s latest interview with Eric Braeden where he discussed the state of Victor and Nikki’s relationship and working with his co-stars that included everyone who attended Nikki and Victor’s reaffirmation of love on today’s Y&R.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Alum Brenda Dickson Accused of Hitting Young Girl in the Face

Published

By

Brenda Dickson

The legal woes continue for Brenda Dickson, the OG Jill Foster Abbott of The Young and the Restless. As we previously reported, Dickson was arrested for battery assault back on July 8, but by July 9, she was released by the LAPD.

Next, Dickson shared her side of the story back on July 30, and insists this is all a part of an issue with where she resides and the tenants. In an updated item from TMZ on Monday, August 3, it now appears that the man who is accusing Dickson of the assault, claims that Brenda struck his young daughter in the face and is seeking a restraining order against her in the courts.

According to the documents obtained by TMZ, a man named Richard Chamberlin filed for a civil harassment restraining order against the Y&R alum for hitting his daughter, Isabella, in the face and chest. He also claims Dickson bumped Isabella with trash bags, made threats, and verbally harassed her and others during the July 8 incident before her arrest.

Chamberlin also noted and claims that Dickson has been stalking and harassing himself and his daughter for the past two months. In his court request, he wants Brenda to stay at least five yards away from him, his daughter, the other renter, and his dog. TMZ also notes Chamberlin does property maintenance and is a renter in the building where Brenda resides.

However, the Los Angeles courts have denied his request for now. They shared that his papers didn’t sufficiently show that Brenda had been violent, threatened violence, or caused substantial emotional distress. There is a hearing scheduled for August 24.

Previously, Brenda took to her Instagram with a video message on the matter and expressed to her fans why she initially did not respond to TMZ’s request for comment, because she knew that Chamberlin was going to take this to the next level. “I knew this was going to happen,” explained Dickson. “I’m still heavily involved in my trial and trying to get my property (this is related to her other ongoing legal issue), and it’s not over with yet. That’s why I haven’t touched base with you. I just wanted to thank you all for helping me and standing behind me (because) I know a lot of you heard this rumor. One of my fans said, ‘Oh, good. I hope you gave him a good ‘Joan Crawford’ slap.’ I’ve never slapped anybody in my life. Love you all and I’ll be back with good news, I’m sure, about my case.”

BRENDA DICKSON WAS ONE OF THE BREAKOUT STARS IN THE EARLY YEARS OF Y&R

Soap fans first came to know Brenda when she made her mark on The Young and the Restless back in 1973 when the show debuted. In story, Jill and Katherine Chancellor (the late Jeanne Cooper) battled for the love of Katherine’s husband, Phillip Chancellor (Donnelly Rhodes) and his death took their long-running feud to new depths that lasted decades.

Dickson’s initial run as Y&R’s Jill lasted until 1980. Later, she returned for another run from 1983-1987. The part was recast with Deborah Adair, Bond Gideon and eventually, Jess Walton.

So, do you think the man accusing Brenda of hitting his daughter and claiming the former Jill of Genoa City was stalking him and other tenants for the past few months is embellishing the story? Or is this all some kind of tiff between everyone residing in the building? Let us know your thoughts on the matter via the comment section.

Lucas Adams and Tamara Braun Written Out of The Young and the Restless

Published

It looks like the current run of Lucas Adams (Noah) and Tamara Braun (Sienna) on The Young and the Restless is coming to an end, after the Monday, August 3 edition of the CBS daytime drama revealed that Noah and Sienna are leaving Genoa City and heading back to Los Angeles.

In the storyline, Noah informed his mother, Sharon (Sharon Case) and half-sister Mariah (Camryn Grimes) that he and Sienna made the decision to move back to the West Coast to put distance between themselves and Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). Although Noah did not say it was a permanent move, he did assure his mom that once Matt is hopefully gone from Genoa City they could return.

However, as previewed already on the video teaser for this week’s episodes of Y&R (see below), it appears Noah left Genoa City’s The Shadow Room to be run by a returning Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian). So with that, coupled with today’s episode, it would appear the move could wind up being more permanent.

COMINGS AND GOINGS

Adams made his Y&R debut on November 4, 2025 as the successor to Rory Gibson who last played Noah on-screen in April of 2023. Earlier in 2025, Gibson took over the role of Michael Corinthos on Genera Hospital replacing Chad Duell, who stepped away from the part after 15 years.

Braun who played Adam’s mother on Days of Our Lives when she was Ava Vitali and he was Tripp Dalton, first appeared on Y&R back on October 14, 2025, where we soon learned she had become Noah’s lover as the new character, Sienna Bacall.  It should be noted, Adams was on contract with the number #1 soap, while Braun has been on recurring status.

With Josh Griffith now exited as head writer of The Young and the Restless, and the newly announced co-head writing team of Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor having taken his place and starting their new tenure this week, it will be interesting to see how the duo resets the show, and if a Noah and Sienna return is in the cards for the future or not.

So, what do you think about the seeming departures of Lucas Adams and Tamara Braun from The Young and the Restless? Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out our recent live chat with Tamara and Lucas on the Michael Fairman Channel.
