‘The Young and the Restless’ EP Sally McDonald Previews Billy and Sally’s Wedding, ‘Expect the Unexpected’

This fall, The Young and the Restless will feature stories from its exited head writer, Josh Griffith as their season 54 begins in October, but then come November 11 and as previously reported the material from its new co-head writers, Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor will begin to air.
Y&R’s executive producer, Sally McDonald previewed what’s coming up on the top-rated CBS soap opera to TV Insider, and viewers should look for fireworks and more at the upcoming wedding of Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and a very pregnant Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), who is carrying his child.
McDonald expressed, “Billy is his own worst enemy now more than ever as his need for revenge takes over his life. He will receive a reality check from Sally, leading them both on planning the wedding of the year. Sally will find herself navigating politics in her personal life when she is faced with major decisions about the wedding. Adam (Mark Grossman) and Sally always seem to find their lives intertwined whether they like it or not, and this fall will be no different. Billy and Sally’s nuptials will be the wedding of the year, and you should expect the unexpected!”

BILLY ABBOTT AT THE EPICENTER OF THE DRAMA
In addition, Daytime Emmy winner, Jason Thompson recently took to his Instagram account and acknowledged any negative reactions to fans of the story, which also has the adjunct arc of Billy going all out to reclaim Chancellor Industries for the Abbotts, and brought with him “good” and “bad” news.
Thompson started with, “I’ve got good news and bad news. I’ll give you the good news first. For people that like Billy, and you want exciting stories on The Young and the Restless, I’m telling you it’s only getting better. So, you’re in for a helluva ride. The bad news is, if you are someone who doesn’t like Billy and don’t want exciting stories to happen, you’re s**t out of luck, because it’s happening anyway. Stay tuned!”
In addition, Sally McDonald also shared that Billy’s sisters, Traci (Beth Maitland) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson), “Will be front and center for Billy and Sally’s wedding. The two sisters will share very different opinions of their little brother’s bride to be.”
You can check out Jason Thompson’s message below.

Adam isn’t interested in Sally, he started showing concerns when she got pregnant because it triggers some trauma. Stop fanfictioning from a preview.
I agree!
Sally is the love of Adam’s life and vice versa, so I do hope this leads to a reunion between the two. It’s been clear for a long time now that he isn’t over her.
Ugh! No more Sally and Adam! Been there, done that!
I am very interested; I hope Billy and Sally not only make it to the alter, but I also hope that their baby is introduced.

‘General Hospital’s’ Tanisha Harper on the Future of a Jordan Ashford and Michael Corinthos Pairing

It’s been clear for awhile now that General Hospital has been pushing Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) more into the orbit of Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), leading to speculation that the two will become more than just business associates and friends.
Well, now, Tanisha Harper has confirmed that the long-running ABC soap opera is testing the waters for a Jordan/Michael romance in her discussion with Soap Opera Digest.
The two characters share something in common, in that, they both have suffered severe burns and disfigurement, and they share a common bond working for Aurora Media.

CHEMISTRY TEST
Harper explained, “At first, they were kind of just sprinkling it in; we were starting to do some scenes together here and there. But, I think the writers and Frank Valentini (EP, GH) liked it, and we’ve progressed with that.”
This poses a bit of dilemma for Jordan, who’s boyfriend Curtis Ashford had been sent to Pentonville for assaulting Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson), but who just wound up on the receiving end of a prison beat down and landed at the hospital.
All things being equal, Tanisha shared that Michael is fast becoming, “the one person who understands what she’s going through on a deeper level. That makes for a strong connection, and I think the fans are starting to see that connection, too.”
As to if things will escalate and get hot and steamy from herem like any great forbidden love story, Tanisha shared, “That seems to be where we’re headed. In true soap fashion!”
Harper also noted about the future of Jordan and Michael, “We’ll see what the writers have in store for us, but I do think that this could be something really interesting. It’ll make some people mad, and some people will be here for it!”
So, are you down for a Jordan and Michael romance? Let us know via the comment section below.
