Well I will have my box of kleenex ready because I’m sure I will crying throughout the whole show. And this is to Michael and/or his team- on your Popular Content section you have up the earlier post that Jeanne is still alive- I know at the time it must have gotten a lot of comments, but now that she has passed I think it might be confusing to see it- some might think she is still alive when she is not–so you might want to take that off the list. Thanks.

I will miss Katherine ( Jeanne Cooper ) She was a gutsy actress on the show and told it the way it was, I think she made the show and am very sorry about her passing. I have watched this story since it started, it will be sad watching it without her. I look forward the the tribute on May 28 with my box of kleenex, So sorry for the families loss, I know what it is like to lose a mother, laugh at all the good memories and god bless her. R.I.P. I’m happy about the decision to honor Mrs. C. Tuesdays date will give the family a chance to recuperate and the producers of Y&R and the family to obtain the best recordings to honor her. I’m going to miss her.

That is wonderful. She deserves several episodes in her honor. She worked on the show for 40 years and in heavy story, not just supporting cast.

I’ll be watching and crying, I’m sure.

I knew there would be a tribute. I never doubted it for a minute.. We know you tape we’ll in advance so you would not know about this till it happened. We just have to be patient. It will happen ASAP. Good luck! We know it will be a great tribute. Mrs. C (Jeanne ) will be sadly missed.

It is awesome that there will be a tribute to her-no one deserves it more. However, I think her final tribute/legacy is that all of the actors that she helped will continue to carry on the work that she so loved and in that love taught them. As well as her children, they are her legacy.

I wonder if the Memorial Day rerun will be a strong Jeanne Cooper episode. Hope so.

If there are going to write her passing into an episode, I think they should combine Bold and The Beautiful with Young and The Restless for one additonal tribute/funeral episode. Pretty much every actor on both shows have worked on one or the other and there has been cross over of characters.

The fans as well as the young and restless cast need this to say a final good bye to a brilliant, talented, wonderful actress and human being. The show must go on but don’t
know how it will without this incredible lady. I truly loved jeanne Cooper as a person and as an actress. As far as the show goes i hope the writers give her the proper send off that she truly deserves. We love you, Mrs. C.

If they are taping 5-6 weeks ahead, Katherine’s death will not happen until at least mid-June unless they edit.

Very sad news, My wife and I have been watching for years. A tribute fit for the Duchess , she deserves that. You know she will always be Mrs Chancellor in my eyes. I wrote down on a piece of paper the date for the tribute so we don’t miss it and what did I write not Jeanne Cooper but Mrs Chancellor tribute thats how powerful her acting that role was. THE DUCHESS WILL BE MISSED . RIP

Thank God CBS and Sony will honor her in a befitting manner. She gave a good part of the latter part of her life to Y&R. No one deserves it more than she does. And hopefully her real life family will be there to participate and see just how much she was loved by people they will never meet. The show wont be the same, but if written right this will cause a lot of drama in Genoa City and it will produce some very realistic touching performances because in this case the actors have suffered a real loss. OLTL Favorite Susan Batten to Guest-Star on General Hospital

A very familiar face to the town of Llanview and the beloved One Life to Live, will be appearing on your screens this week on General Hospital.

Susan Batten (Ex-Luna Moody, OLTL) will make a few guest appearances in scenes with Sasha played by Sofia Mattsson.

According to the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstand now, Batten will play the role of home shopping-star Flora Gardens!

Batten former boss, Frank Valentini (executive producer, GH) called Susan and said about the role: , “Okay, there’s this character named Flora Gardens.”  To which Susan responded, “Does she have teeth?”   After the two shared a laugh, Susan said “yes’ to the role.

OLTL fans will remember Luna’s torrid relationship with Max Holden (James DePaiva).

The actress/writer/producer reported that she was a ‘still very nervous’ acting on soap again (she last appeared on One Life in 2012), but said once she got into the rhythm of the shooting and delivering the lines it was all good.

So, looking forward to seeing Susan on GH? Comment below. But first, take a moment to stroll down memory lane in this clip from OLTL, when Max proposes to Luna.

Peter Bergman Signs 5-Year Deal with The Young and the Restless

Some of the hottest news on Daytime Emmy night was the reveal that 23-time Daytime Emmy nominee, and 3-time Emmy-winner, Peter Bergman is staying put at The Young and the Restless for quite some time to come, in fact, at least five more years.

Bergman, who plays Genoa City staple, Jack Abbott, has inked a new five-year deal to stay with the CBS daytime drama series, which is a significant contract in the world of soaps.  The usual contact for actors is somewhere between one and four years, with thirteen-week or twenty-six-week cycle, if the show were to not pick up an actors option.

While Y&R has been renewed thus far through the 2024 TV season, it would seem this move to ensure Bergman is sticking around as the show moves past its 50th year on the air, is a vote of confidence by Sony Pictures Television and CBS that the top-rated daytime drama will live on.

Deadline first reported the contract news.  Peter joined Y&R back in 1989, after first successful soap foray on All My Children as Dr, Cliff Warner.

So, what do you think about Peter signing on for five more years at Y&R? Comment below.
