Photo: Sofia Pernas/Instagram

After they stepped out together at Sunday night’s 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards, speculation was rampant that former Y&R stars, Justin Hartley and Sofia Pernas, were actually married as they both we wearing wedding rings on their wedding fingers.

Well, that has turned out to be true! According to a source, who confirmed to PEOPLE.com, the duo are happily in love and were ‘recently’ married.

Sofia played Marisa Sierras on The Young and the Restless from 2014-2015, while Hartley played Adam Newman from 2014-2016, before joining NBC’s This Is Us as Kevin Pearson.

Both Hartley and Pernas relationship apparently began last year, when they went public with it on New Year’s Eve.

Hartley had been previously married to Selling Sunset and DAYS, Y&R and AMC star, Chrishell Stause, and before that to former Passions star, Lindsay Korman, with whom he shares a daughter.

Send your well-wishes and congrats to Justin and Sofia via the comment section below.

SZima…speaking of This Is Us, the rest of the cast are STILL giving Justin flak (or whatever)for the way he treated and dumped Chrishell…and as they should!!!!! Bottom Line: I give marriage #3 2 years…or less.

Is there any news in Hollywood that isn’t about this guy?

I don’t know how or why the public can get excited over these “serial-marryers” as if THIS is the magic relationship. That’s why I’ve always tried to divorce myself from stars’ private lives and just enjoy what they give us… their talent, compassion, and (occasionally) a glimpse into ourselves that can comfort or strengthen us. I myself owe a great debt to artists like Joni Mitchell, Jane Fonda, Marsha Mason, Barbra Streisand, and others for their WORK. I really don’t care who they mate with anymore.

Why does he bother getting married? He clearly has no reverence for the institution of marriage. I doubt he is a hopeless optimistic romantic! He seems to love the honeymoon phase with whatever hot new thing is on his arm, then he loses interest. Chrishell was such a natural beauty before she hooked up with him and now she is like a young Joan Rivers! Her face is all carved up. Why would someone at her young age hack up her face to look like a freak? I suspect he made her feel very insecure. Not that I care or… Read more »

He appears to have commitment issues. Third marriage and the way he treated his second wife. No catch in my book.

Everyone jumping down Justin’s back, why don’t you blame the women that marry him. They’re the dump ones. They should know how many times he been married and for how long. They chose to marry him.

Anne Heche Memoir ‘Call Me Anne’ to Be Released Posthumously

Following the tragic death of Daytime Emmy-winning actress, Anne Heche (ex-Vicky/Marley, Another World), now comes word that the follow-up to her 2001 memoir Call Me Crazy will be released in January of 2023 posthumously.

Independent publisher, Start, shared an excerpt of the upcoming memoir, Call Me Anne, this week with the AP and Publisher’s Weekly.  The book’s publisher, Jarred Weisfeld, signed a deal with Heche back in May, and shared that she had turned it into a manuscript shortly before she died.

In a statement, Weisfield shared, “Anne was an inspiration to the LGBTQ+ community and beyond. This book deserves to be read by all of her fans. We are grateful to have the opportunity to share her message with the world. While we are very sad that Anne isn’t here to see the book be published we know it’s what she would have wanted.”

During her podcast “Better Together” with co-host Heather Duffy, Heche had mentioned she was writing a sequel to her original memoir, and that ‘some of the truths’ about her relationship with Ellen DeGeneres would be revealed.

Ellen and Anne’s relationship in Hollywood in the late 90’s, ultimately led to her being blacklisted in Hollywood due to the twosome being one of the first openly gay couples in Tinseltown.  In an excerpt from Call Me Anne, Heche shares, “I was labeled ‘outrageous’ because I fell in love with a woman. I had never been with a woman before I dated Ellen.”

In a epilogue to the book, Heather Duffy expressed that Anne’s, “wish was that this book could help others get to the other side of pain and learn about her philosophy, which allowed her to remain in a life where she woke up each day looking for opportunities to find joy and spread kindness. So, in some ways, knowing her the way I do and knowing that spreading her message of kindness is what mattered to her most, she would be content that the last thing she worked on was this book.”

Anne passed away on August 14th at the age of 53, after being taken off life-support from injuries sustained from her fiery car crash into a home that eventually took her life.

What do you think about Anne’s second memoir coming in 2023? Will you be intrigued to see what she had to share? Let us know in the comment section.

In case you missed it, Heche discusses with Michael Fairman in a virtual interview two years ago, about her time with DeGeneres and how it impacted her getting work in Hollywood and more.  You can watch it below.

PRIMETIME EMMYS: Soap Alums Murray Bartlett and Amanda Seyfried Take Home Acting Honors

The 74th annual Primetime Emmys were handed out Monday night during a three-hour telecast on NBC and streaming on Peacock.

When the dust settled two former daytime stars, who have gone found much success in television and film, took home the gold in their respective categories.

Murray Bartlett (ex-Cyrus, Guiding Light) won the Emmy for his role as Armond in The White Lotus in the Best Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.

In his acceptance speech, Murray expressed many thanks: “To my P-Town family, I love you, to my partner Matt, thank you for being my sanctuary .. and finally I want to thank my mom all the way home in Australia for giving me the most wonderful foundation of unconditional love and inspiring me to believe that we can all do that for each other.”

Later in the evening, Amanda Seyfried (ex-Lucy, ATWT and ex-Joni , AMC) won the Best Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her performance in The Dropout.  In the Hulu limited series, which is based on the ABC News podcast of the same name, Seyfried portrays disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes.

In a major moment during the ceremony, Sheryl Lee Ralph won her first Emmy ever for her role in Abbott Elementary in the Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series category.

Ralph became only the second black actress to win in the supporting actress category in 35 years – the first being none other than Days of our Lives’ Jackée Harry (Paulina) who won for her performance in 1987 for 227.

After Sheryl sang when she hit the stage to accept the award, she clarified what she was singing about adding: “I’ve been singing that song for years because I think of myself as an artist as a woman, especially as a woman of color … I’m an endangered species. I don’t sing any victim song. I’m a woman. I’m an artist, and I know where my voice belongs. And there’s so many young actors, artists, even kids that think they know what they’re going to do in life, find your voice and put it where it belongs.”

In an historic Emmy-win, The Squid Game’s Lee Jung-jae became the first actor in a non-English series to win iLead Actor in a Drama Series category for his work in Netflix’s South Korean smash hit.

Other Emmy highlights included a moving and emotional speech from Lizzo after Amazon’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls won the Emmy for Best Competition Program.

Lizzo shared: “I’m very emotional. The trophy is nice, but my emotion is for these people who are on the stage with me. The stories that they shared, they’re not that unique. They just don’t get the platform. Telling stories, let’s just tell more stories. When I was a little girl, all I wanted to see was me in the media, someone fat like me, Black like me, beautiful like me.  If I could go back and tell little Lizzo something, I’d be like, ‘You’re going to see that person, but Bitch, it’s gonna have to be you.’”

In the top show categories: Succession won Drama Series, Ted Lasso, Comedy Series and The White Lotus, Outstanding Limited Series. You can check out the full winners circle in all categories here.

Now, let us know, who you were most excited seeing take home the gold statuette during the 74th Primetime Emmys via the comment section. But first check out, Murray, Amanda, Sheryl Lee and Lizzo’s winning moments below.

Eva LaRue’s Stalker Sentenced to 40 Months in Prison

In a harrowing situation spanning 12 years, a man who threatened former All My Children, Santa Barbara, and Y&R favorite, Eva LaRue (ex-Maria, ex- Margot, ex-Celeste) and her daughter, Kaya was sentenced to 40 months in prison.

James David Rogers, 58, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge John A. Kronstadt for over a decade of threatening letters and phone calls about torture, rape and death to LaRue and her daughter.

Rogers had pleaded guilty in April to two counts of mailing threatening communications, one count of threats by interstate communications and two counts of stalking.  According to court documents, all of this began in March 2007 until Rogers eventually was arrested in November 2019.  At the beginning of his stalking spree, LaRue’s daughter, Kaya was only five-years-old.

According to Deadline, Eva gave a “tearful victim impact statement, telling the judge in L.A. federal court that she has undergone therapy since the harassment began in order to deal with feelings of fear and paranoia.”  She added, “We didn’t know if he would show up on our doorstep. We will think about him for a lifetime. The fear is with me forever.”

The judge has ordered Rogers to self surrender on October 12th to begin his sentence at a federal prison in Ohio.

Eva won a Daytime Emmy back in 2020 for her guest star turn on The Young and the Restless, and is best-known to primetime viewers for her role in CSI: Miami.
