Days Of Our Lives
THIS WEEK ON DAYS: Kristen Hatches A Despicable Plot Before She Leaves Salem!

Courtesy/NBC
Snatching women’s unborn babies, may be a through-line for this year’s November Sweeps on the soaps!
This week on Days of of our Lives, after being dumped by Brady (Eric Martsolf) yet again, Kristen (Eileen Davidson) overhears Theresa (Jen Lilley) tell Anne Milbauer (Meredith Scott Lynn) in the park that she is pregnant with Brady’s child! This sets off Kristen’s rage, and she goes on a rampage!
Now from the newly released promo from NBC, Kristen is about to do something diabolical! As previewed in the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now, “While Theresa is walking in the park alone, she is knocked out and abducted by two thugs. It soon becomes clear that Kristen has very dark plans for her arch rival.”
From the looks of it, is Kristen going to take Theresa’ s embryo right out of her, and have it implanted into her? Is that what is going down? Watch the promo, and then weigh-in as we get ready to say goodbye again this week to Eileen Davidson as Kristen, as her recent run comes to an end (even though it was filmed five months ago).
Omg, wow, Kirsten sure knows how to leave Salem USA in a Big Bang way.lol I assume the powers that be are setting in place the big next return of Kiresten Blake Dimera which will or should be any where from nine-twelve months for now since the actress has just started filming the real house wives show and most recently made a return to Y&R.
I want Kristen Dimera to kill Theresa, and dump her body. Theresa is very annoying and time for her to go. Eileen Davidson will be back very soon on Days Of our Lives. Eileen told soap opera digest a few weeks ago, that she will come back to days for 3 month storyline arcs, when she is available. Like susan Banks always says Kristen is mean mean mean, LOL
Can’t stand Theresa. Would love to see Anne and Kristen mop the floor with the useless narcissist gnat. Nothing against the actress. I just can’t stand the character.
I agree. I want that witch Theresa gone yesterday.
I hate Theresa’s guts so I’m glad!
I can’t stand the character. Eve is just as bad-which is unfortunate because Kassie DePaiva is a talented actress. Neither have any redeeming qualities.
Eve just is stuck in a dumb story worrying about dreary Paige! JJ needs a better story and love interest too. But Theresa is just wretched and that Pubehead anne is even worse they aren’t even funny.
I agree. Not a fan of the actress who portrays Paige. At first, I liked her. Now, her facial expressions just make the character appear boring, dull, and miserable. The writers can still have a cute, shy character in Paige without her acting aggravated and annoyed all of the time. I agree, Kassie needs a much better storyline. I like Anne when she gives Jennifer a hard time. But, let’s face it, Anne would have been fired a long time ago as the Director of HR with her antics and attitude. Can’t stand Theresa. Could care less if the character was redeemed. Send her back to LA.
I think the show has too many “bad gals” on it – and I also agree that the character of Paige is about as exciting as a box of kleenex.
As for Eve, as portrayed by Kassie DePaiva, they need to write something a tad more interesting that the fact that she doesn’t approve of Paige’s dating JJ. It’s a storyline that’s kind of burnt out already ~
Is that even possible, to take an embryo from in uterus and implant into another one without killing it? Oh well I guess on soaps anything is possible— I just feel sorry for the child because if it makes it to term– either way it has one mess up mother.
Did Kristen even sleep with Brady this return visit…i did miss a couple of episodes…i dont recall them sleeping together recently and if they didnt how is she going to explain this child is his…would she say she made a withdraw from The Man Surplus Bank? As i said i missed a couple of episodes and the ones i watched since Eileens latest return ive never seen Kristen and Brady in bed together this time around!…Am i wrong…you are very good at knowing these things and dependable so thats why i picked you for the answer…
jimh, Brady and Kristen did NOT sleep together during this three month visit.
jimh and Mary SF, I shot off an answer before reading the whole comment. I did not mean to step on anyone’s toes…my bad.
4ever DAYS– my tootsies are just fine your about yours jimh? As 4 ever DAYS stated no they haven’t slept together, my theory is she will tell him she used the same drug on him as she gave Eric and he forgot they had sex—-Knowing her history, he will be uncertain if she is lying or not– the DNA test will say he is the father and he wouldn’t think to challenge who the mother is, so he will buy her story that she drugged him. Or she might actually drug him, like Sami did Austin. This is Days so I’m sure they will find a creative explanation for the improbable LOL
This is the last reply I had from you so I’m using it– haven’t seen you post anything for most of November– that could be for many reasons, you stopped coming to this site, you gave up on the soaps, you’re on vacation, busy, or dealing with some kind of personal crisis— not my business which or any, but just wanted to know I was thinking about you, hope all is well, and if not, that it soon will be especially with holidays around the corner– keeping you in my prayers– Mary SF
I have no idea if embryo transfer between women is possible in reality. But, it was done on OLTL about 30 years ago when a pregnant Samantha Vernon Garretson was found face down at the bottom of a swimming pool and declared brain dead. The embryo was transferred into Delilah Ralston who carried the pregnancy to term and gave birth to a healthy baby girl. I think GH did a similar story of an embryo transfer between a character named Dominique and Lucy Coe.
I have to agree with you. Neither Kristen nor Theresa is “mother” material.
I had to reply here. What could be more interesting than Theresa thinking she lost the baby is that she was implanted with the embryo of Eric (her first cousin) and Kristen!
Do they dare go there?
You know women have carried babies for relatives…one woman once carried her daughters child…so your story suggestion is possible…and by the way im not too happy getting a year older…i still like to think im 17…i only wish my body thought the same way…lol…but thanks…your always a joy to here from 4everDays!!!
You are absolutely correct Mary…you always make good sense…of course Kristen will drug him…she’ll probably do that before she leaves Salem…i knew i could depend on you for the answer…thanks!!!
She certainly goes out with a bang each times she leaves!! Next time she comes back, have her bring Jason Brooks as Peter Blake DiMera in tow!! That man was TOO fine!!!!!
Jason Brooks is one hot man, Eye candy. LOL.
He is gorgeous!!!!!!!!
OMG love him
I’ll miss Eileen and Kristen!
Will Theresa tell Kristen ‘Leggo my Eggo’…lol…anyway, what is with these similiar baby storylines at Days and GH…is Kristen really Tina, GHs Nina’s faternal twin…lol…seriously, harming a female to steal a womans unborn baby is a bit too dark and gruesome for my taste but im probably in the minority here…but it wouldnt be the first time…i like Kristen and knew she wouldnt leave Salem without creating some trouble…i originally thought she had gotten pregnant by Eric and attempts to pass that child off as Bradys which wouldve worked better…i guess in a way they are kind of using my idea but this is a little too much even for Kristen…im suprised Stephanos docs couldnt create a clone or robotic baby for Kristen to pass as Bradys…they were clever enough to create a drug to pull John out of his coma!!!…lol
I SO agree with this post!!!! I originally thought that after Kristen hooked up with Eric, then Brady, when she left Salem, that she would return with a child in tow. Can u imagine Marlena’s horror at Kristen being her grandchild’s mother!!! I was salivating at the possibility of Kristen being pregnant by Eric, bc she has no kids and the DiMera Legacy needs to be carried on….Kristen aint gettin any younger!!!!
I wouldve loved Marlena’s reaction…the show really missed it here…lots of good drama possibilities like Eric trying to cope raising a child thats a product of rape just as he decides to return to the priesthood, Marlena difficulty accepting a grandchild of her no.1 enemy…Brady believing this child his and becomes attached to him then months later learning he isnt his son and unable to let him go…so much drama had it turned out this way!!!
Of course they got the idea from you Jimh…TPTM just put their own twist to it.
I agree with you. This storyline, as the one on GH is too disturbing for human consumption, at least, this human. You are definitely not in the minority, trust me.
Thank you for your well -wishes, jimh. It is hard getting into the swing of this after a 6-month maternity leave….later, friend.
Jimh, they should hire us as story consultants!!! That Eric/Kristen/Brady paternity scenario would’ve brought months of drama and story possibilities!!!! Uggh!!!!
I like Teresa! I do like this story though, because it all bUT assures a return by Eileen Davidson as Kristen.
They need to bring back jason “cookie”cook as shaun d he is too cute and days isn’t the same without him he was wasted on general hospital they never knew what to do with him
Last week it was AS, this week it is ED’s exit from DOOL. Two of my favorite ladies gone in two weeks.
And this is supposed to make us like Theresa or feel an iota of sympathy for her? LOL! Not gonna happen!!! She enabled & encouraged Brady to use drugs while using him for his money, tried to blackmail John for a million bucks then tried to kill him, then tried to kill him again with that syringe, then calls him a vegetable umpteen times, then when she finds out she’s pregnant refers to the baby as a “get out of jail free card” – AND she only knew she was pregnant for a few hours – a day TOPS before Kristen allegedly takes the baby who Theresa has NO feeling nor regard for other than it saves her sorry fanny from doing time for the many crimes she’s committed?
NOT gonna happen.
Theresa doesn’t deserve a baby – I wouldn’t trust her with a houseplant!!
Anyone that thinks Theresa can be salvaged at this point – or will be “sympathetic” or whatever is looking at the world with rose-colored glasses on.
And —– not to be rude —– but to suggest that if the fans that don’t like Theresa are “heartless” or “cold” is just vicious. There’s nothing likeable about her and for me, that will NEVER change.
Days needs to cut their losses on this character and get rid of her.
Ur just plain wrong. Teresa is a great character and Jrn is doing s terrific job. Lots of us just love her so dont speak for everyone!
I disagree.
Time has a way of changing things. There’s a lot we don’t know about Theresa. If she is allowed to stay in Salem, I believe the masses will be in full support of Theresa in all her DAYS!
I already love her and the victimization of Theresa will be a turning point for the fans to see her true character!
I like your post, though! Your passion is great!!!
In no way, shape nor form, is Theresa a “victim” of anyone other than Kristen and she’s a lunatic, so that’s not really a fair comparison. LOL!
I will never like Theresa, ever!
I guess I’m heartless and cruel because I don’t care about Theresa and don’t have any sympathy for her after she tried to kill John. Ditto for Kristen, I hope Eileen never returns to DAYS.
I love Jen and she is a wonderful actress or we would not detest her like we do but it is time to put a stop to the insanity. SHE NEEDS TO BE STOPPED!!!! She has ruined the fragile father/son relationship between John and Brady, she had Brady back on drugs and booze and had him thinking he had nearly killed his father when in fact it was her all for an avenue to get to Brady’s money. The thought of Kristin carrying Brady’s baby makes me sick. If the fetus survives it is leaving the door wide open for Kirstin’s return. NO NO NO she has done enough damage!!
No fault to the actresses but the sisters Donovan need their parents to stop them from their stupid moves. So they need to go back to CA. like yesterday. They were portrayed in a better light back in the day!
I also prefer Eileen Davidson as Ashley Abbott #YR. Anyone who wrecks the relationship between John & Brady Black needs to go from #DAYS pronto! That includes Kristin & Theresa!
It seems to me the writers aren’t giving the vets like Drake Hogestyn the respect they deserve by not giving them GOOD story lines & more air time. For example,John Black just woke up from a coma. Now they have John going to Europe where he won’t be seen again for WEEKS! Not good at all for the fans! The newbies shouldn’t get SO much screen time in my opinion! If NBC is out of money they should have a yard & bake sale to make some more money. Very frustrating!
Days Of Our Lives
How John Oliver’s ‘Days of Our Lives’ Guest Star Turn as ‘Devlin St. John’ Came to an End

‘Last Week Tonight’ host, John Oliver wrapped his three-episode run on Days of Our Lives on the Friday, August 14 episode of the Peacock streaming soap opera, where viewers learned the fate of his character, the Salem chief water inspector, Devlin St. John.
Oliver got all of wishes granted and got to revel in some soap tropes on Friday’s episode which included: a slapping fest, a mind-erasing drug and case of amnesia, and exiting through a Days of our Lives staple … the cryogenic chamber! This leaves the door open for Devlin St. John return down the line, since many characters come back to life from years on end in the said chamber.
Here’s what went down! In the pick-up from Oliver’s cliffhanger earlier in the week, Devlin St. John was drugged by EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney). Now Rita prepared a syringe filled with CRS-17 to wipe out the last 24 hours of his memory, so the water inspector would get out of EJ’s way. However, there was a twist!

DEVLIN ST. JOHN MUST BE DEALT WITH
Before the drug took its full effect, a dazed Devlin woke up very disoriented, believing he had been ‘compromised.’ Next, we get (as previewed), the showdown between Devlin and EJ, where Devlin stands up to EJ telling him he will not allow him to “gut” his brain, and calling him a “budget Bond villain!” In return, EJ calls Devlin a “sanctimonious little parasite,” which leads to St.John slapping EJ and vice-versa.
From there, things take an even more over-the-top soap turn. After his 24-hour amnesia took effect, Devlin managed still hear incriminating intel within the DiMera mansion. Rita realizes she must get rid of St. John for good, but she has developed feelings for him in short order. Rita admits she has developed a crush on the chief water inspector, so she cannot bring himself to kill him.

JOHN OLIVER TO ADDRESS DAYS AND GH ROLES ON SUNDAY’S LAST WEEK TONIGHT?
However, next Rita has Devlin in a wheelchair and brings him into EJ’s underground cryogenic chamber. Once he is physically in the chamber, she kisses him on the lips, before she shoves him into the chamber with her parting words, “All you need is faith that you’ll return one day.”
Thus ends the soap opera journey of John Oliver from his three-day guest stint in July on General Hospital in the role of Z, the head of the WSB, to his campy role with the wig he brought to set as Devlin St. John on DAYS. It was back in March, Oliver revealed his list of requirements to any soap opera that would have him: a soapy name, a dramatic close-up and tag, slapping, and a juicy storyline.
Hopefully, Oliver will finally talk about his experiences on Days of Our Lives and General Hospital on this Sunday’s episode of ‘Last Week Tonight on HBO which should be a must-see.
So, what did you think of how John Oliver’s Devlin St. John was written out of Days of Our Lives? How did you like his run on DAYS as compared to GH? Both very different, for sure. Let us know via the comment section below.

Deidre Hall Extends a ‘Days of Our Lives’ Invite to Julia Roberts: ‘Come on By, Babe’

Days of Our Lives continues to be all over pop culture in 2026 with A-list celebrities who have shared their love of the long-running soap opera set to turn 61 this November.
First came word of Ryan Gosling’s admiration of Deidre Hall (Marlena) and his love for the show. Next, came ‘Last Week Tonight’ host, John Oliver’s desire to visit Salem, which came to fruition, and now Hall, the iconic star of the series, has invited Oscar winner, Julia Roberts to do a guest stint on the soap, too.
Roberts had been a known fan of Days of Our Lives for decades. During Monday’s Backlot Pass Day, which showcased upcoming original television and streaming line-ups for NBC and Peacock, Hall walked the carpet to talk to reporters.

When she spoke with PauseRewind, Hall shared what other celebrity she would like to see show up in Salem, “You know, Julia Roberts is a very big fan,” recalled Hall. “I think she must have some downtime somewhere. So, Julia, come on by, babe.’
Hall, who is celebrating this year her 50th year as Dr. Marlena Evans, added that she has met Roberts several times at award shows. “She was just sort of gobstruck, (and it) wasn’t about me, it was the show. ‘The people sitting behind me are from my show.’ She was so cute,” added Hall.
RYAN GOSLING UPDATE
In addition, Deidre offered an update on her collab with Ryan Gosling, where fans everywhere are hoping to see scenes with Marlena and a character written for Gosling. He ‘has yet to come,’ acknowledged Hall.
As for John Oliver, who this week can seen on three episodes of Days of Our Lives (August 11, 12 and 14), Hall said of meeting him at the DAYS set, “I was there for John Oliver. He is so adorable and easy to work with. He’s thrilled to be there, part of the gang. There was no hesitation, just a dream to have him there because we appreciate his comedy and his history.”

A MARLENA STORYLINE YET TO BE TOLD
Deidre also spoke on storylines she had yet to do over five decades, since she has played almost everything imaginable, including being possessed by the devil twice in a lifetime! “Marlena has not been disabled, and 50 years you’d think at some point she would have fallen out a flight of stairs, or lost her hearing, or lost her sight, or something,” expressed Hall.
“I have thought at some point it would be interesting if Marlena had a patient who was hearing impaired, and the audience got to see what that looks like. Sign language is a beautiful, beautiful thing, and it would be interesting for them to see it,” added Deidre.
As it turns out, Deidre learned sign language along with her sister, Andrea (ex-Samantha and Hattie, DAYS) when her twin sister welcomed a young deaf student in her class (Andrea is a special education teacher) and had to quickly learn the language to better accommodate her needs.
So, would you like to see Julia Roberts next up on the growing list of celebrities to make their way to Salem? If so, who should she play? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Exec Explains How They Fit John Oliver’s Guest Stint into Production When They Tape Almost a Year in Advance

If you caught today’s Tuesday, August 11 episode of Days of Our Lives streaming on Peacock, you caught the debut of John Oliver in his Salem role as the chief water inspector in town named Devlin St. John.
The ‘Last Week Tonight’ host has been on a jaunt through the soaps over the past few months, first on General Hospital, where he played the WSB head named Z, to now the man who has got the goods on EJ DiMera.
In his first of three appearances (the remaining two stream August 12 and 14), Devlin meets up with Paulina Price (Jackée Harry), Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), Rita Lesley (who takes a liking to Mr. St. Jonn), played by Maggie Carney, and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). When Oliver arrives on the scene there is the wig, the quipping dialog, and a few soap stares and such along the way.

Courtesy/Peacock
Days of Our Lives is the only American soap opera in production to tape so far advance, often 10 to 11 months, that it makes it difficult to get out of any storyline that is not clicking with the fans, or if the writers want to change course.
In addition, casting announcement of exciting returns or new characters while initially exciting, finds the viewers having to wait a very long time to see them on their screens. On the flip side, without this production model the soap opera, which will turn 61 in November, wouldn’t remain and that would be a serious blow to the fans, to the soap genre and all that it employs.
DAYS OF OUR LIVES EP KEN CORDAY ON THE PROCESS OF ADDING JOHN OLIVER INTO PREVIOUSLY TAPED EPISODES
When John Oliver made his pronouncement on his late night talk show back in March that he desired to be on a soap opera. DAYS executive producer, Ken Corday was going to make it happen. He explained to Vulture, how they were able weave in Oliver’s request and take him up on it, while making it look seamless into episodes taped so long ago.
Both Corday and co-executive producer and showrunner, Noel Maxam, intially went back and looked at previously taped episodes and story outlines to search for a potential story thread where they could place the character to be played by Oliver.
Corday shared, “We didn’t want to wait until next year for these shows to air, so we lifted (already produced) show and put him in. We basically had to shoehorn him into our schedule because we were so far ahead.” The longtime EP also expressed its challenges stating it, “was somewhat complex. It was basically, ‘We have to do this; let’s get it done.’ And we did. He was too good to pass up.”
THE CREATION OF DEVLIN ST. JOHN
In terms of the scripting and creation of Oliver’s character of Devlin St. John, it was a two-team effort. Corday explained that Oliver’s overall storyline was scripted by DAYS writers, but John Oliver’s team punched up some of the dialog.
“John and his producer had a lot of input in making the words fit the way he talks,” the EP recalled. “He’s (Oliver) very machine-gun in how he speaks, so that took a little work. But in the end, we both got what we wanted.”
In terms of the look of his DAYS character of the Salem chief water inspector, Oliver brought the wig he wears in his scenes to the set, and the DAYS hair and make-up team refined it for the cameras.
You can check out more behind the scenes moments of Oliver’s appearance on Days of Our Lives in the newly released video package from Access Hollywood that dropped last night below.
So, what did you think of John Oliver’s debut as Devlin St. John on today’s Days of Our Lives? Ken Corday sharing how the soap opera was able to shoehorn in Oliver’s scenes in previous shot episodes from months ago? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
