THIS WEEK ON DAYS: Marlena, Kayla, and Kate Revealed to be in a ‘Scientist’s’ Laboratory?

Courtesy/Peacock

While Days of our Lives’ Marlena (Deidre Hall), Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) and Kate (Lauren Koslow) have been hovering somewhere between heaven and hell and meeting up with all kinds of former residents of Salem, including, most recently, Devil Doug (Bill Hayes) and Nick Fallon (Blake Berris), there may be a major shift and some revealing intel in this week’s promo for the Peacock streaming soap opera.

In the preview for the action on DAYS, Marlena is heard saying “If this isn’t earth, then how can we be alive?” Cut to: Marlena, Kayla and Kate laying side by side of each other inside a scientist laboratory (calling Dr. Rolf?) in what looks like cryogenic chambers or long see-through tubes.

The begs the question, since the trios departure from the living in Salem, have they been secretly, or knowingly been brought to Dr. Rolf’s in an effort to bring them back to life? As we know on DAYS, most everybody is never really ‘dead-dead’.

While it seems for the past month or so, the women have been in some part of the after-life, hell in disguise, or whatever you would like to call it, will this week’s episodes be the defining moment in this story arc?

Watch the preview below.

Now, let us know, what do you think will happen with Marlena, Kayla, and Kate next? Share your theories below.

Clearly this is all the setup to reveal Megan Hathaway’s involvement with Rolf & Orpheus, and the fact that this cryogenic lab will be the very same facility where Bo Brady was revealed to be “on ice” at the end of “Beyond Salem 2”.

Not even the DiMeras are going to have more than one of those labs. Can you imagine what the electric bill is every month for those cryogenic freezers?? It would probably be cheaper to air condition Hell!

I love days and all the actors but this story line is so stupid…. We knew they weren’t really dead so there was no weight to the deaths and the whole devil thing again was so bad and the acting was to over the top. I also can’t believe Allie will and sonny left the show!

I know it is the dumbest story line ever. Why can’t they write something that might could actually happen onstead if all this far fetched make believe nonsense?

And waste so much money on the heaven and hell sets when they could have made more sets in Salem give people houses or work places or other outdoor areas besides the square

Those sets were left over from “Beyond Salem 2”. And trust me, that was not Hell! You might remember me saying (as BeelzeDoug) that Marlena would soon be joining me downstairs, so not in that room… let’s just call it Hell’s “lobby” of sorts.

Bo Brady previously had a meeting there with one of my attorneys, Larry Welch.

Lol you’re so funny. I know some of it was from beyond Salem but it seemed like there was more.. can you show your true form already! Lol how dumb will days make you look?

Too over the top. Can’t believe I am paying for this.

To be fair there is ALOT of other content on peacock to enjoy!

NOPE

Thank you Universe that Ron C no longer writes for GH, if I had to sit through what DOOL fans have to and endure this crap, I would just DIE!

To be fair though, some of the writing on GH in the last year or so has been every bit as bad, if not worse. Like anything involving Nina, Dex, or the whole Tricky Dick Nixon Falls thing, for example.

And this whole “Hooker” thing, which has to be the worst serial killer story ever.

There’s been a few times I was convinced that ReRon was sneaking the scripts under the door of his old pal Valentini’s office!

Satan…Thank you Satan. While we don’t agree on Nina or Nixon Falls, today I just turned off GH halfway through, went outside in the sunshine, and took a walk instead because of the ugliness of the stories like the “hooker.” Or even the torture of Dex. Right now there is no happy storyline for anyone except Lucy. All depressing. Where are the writers getting their inspiration??? And I thought the daily news was bad. No relief from GH. And B&B is stupid.

And even Lucy had to be kidnapped. tortured, and is now presumed to be dead, while secretly shacked up with Colonel Sanders… er.. Marty.

Right now I’m assuming these writers are in “clear the decks” mode since they have to wrap up all of these storylines that have dragged on for months (or even years in some cases) so they can move into “60th anniversary mode” in late March.

Satan…Colonel Sanders/Marty…Big smile. Wonder if they will figure how to write more happy, adventure, mystery stories in year 61?

Just awful and stupid. Sorry but I can no longer watch this ridiculousness.

This is pure Ron. Writing for his own entertainment! The three actresses deserve better than this!

So many twists to this storyline! I love Days- it is so different than anything else on tv !

This is the craziest ass show ever and I wouldn’t miss one moment.

Same! I am loving it!!! Pure escapism!

Crazy but love it I don’t want to miss it either

Does anyone know when the peacock exclusive episodes start?

They’re either running now or are about to start. As I said above, the fact that the three women appear to be in the same DiMera cryogenics lab where Bo Brady’s body was seen in “Beyond Salem 2” would seem to be a way to “bridge” the two storylines, with Meghan Hathaway showing up this week to further integrate last summer’s “spinoff” into the main show.

This would sync up pretty well with Days habit of taping episodes 6 months in advance, since we’re right now about 6 months away from the August 2022 announcement that Days would be leaving NBC for Peacock.

It’s supposed to be this month…which is ending. The only way we may really know is it’s supposed to coincide with a drop of past seasons. Supposed. It was written up that way in the initial move to Peacock but who really knows. Only NBC. Promise then wait.

Yea I remember reading that hopefully they can bring some past episodes that would be fun. Didn’t they say they were getting new cameras too?

I know the episodes are apparently a bit more envelope pushing than network TV, and the budget increased. Also, the episodes are a bit longer without network commanded commercial breaks. Maybe that includes additional cameras. I guess we’ll see.

I have noticed in the last two weeks they seem to use the words “bastard” and “son of a bitch” in just about every scene. I don’t think either of those were forbidden on NBC, but certainly used much less.

Then there was the joke Sarah made about Gwen blowing Xander’s bagpipes. I’m reasonably certain that one wouldn’t have made it past the NBC censor board.

So glad I never bought a subscription. I have not missed DOOL at all.

Peacock is a lot more than just DOOL. I’ve had it long before that decision was made. Although it made it much easier to watch DOOL on my time, including some of the previous year I missed when Peacock first started. I agree. If you get it just for a soap don’t bother. And this question is to Michael Fairman of Michael Fairman TV. Will you he covering Neighbours once the revamped series/soap starts on Amazon/Freevee specifically marketed for the U.S. and U.K.? Old episodes and the entire 2012 season drops this Thursday. Will you cover the new soap here later this year?
