General Hospital
This Week on General Hospital: Four Fathers! Four Bombshells! What Wlll Happen Next?

Courtesy/ABC
General Hospital is fire this week with baby daddy revelations, the apparent murder of Connie, and so much more! In this just released promo from ABC the voice over announcer relates: “Four Fathers! Four Bombshells!”
And with that, a clip of Jason Thompson as Patrick ripping into Kelly Thiebaud as Britt, a very upset Bradford Anderson as Spinelli tearing into Kirsten Storms as Maxie for her duplicity in the baby drama with Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu (Emme Rylan) … who happen upon the conversation!
Then, Sean Kanan as AJ trying to recall if he pulled the trigger in a drunken stupor and shot Connie, or not, and who should be there as his lawyer? …. Diane played by Carolyn Hennesy!
So how do you think things will play out? Will Patrick find out the truth about Britt’s baby? Is it going to turn out as many fans have been speculating that Britt is really carrying Dante and Lulu’s baby… to make this all the more dramatic? Who do you think shot and killed Connie Falconeri, when AJ is the obvious choice, but Ava Jerome has the same initials as the black sheep of the Quartermaine clan? Watch the promo, then let us know your opinions!
How freaking fun is this??? Love my GH.
OMG I’m screaming!!! I can’t wait…. I think that Ava killed Connie, and that Britt is either carrying Dante and Lulu’s baby, or it is Britt & Dante’s baby where she just used his sperm & her own egg! that would be so heart breaking for Lulu, but it also would be a good story, I would rather it be both Dante & Lulu’s but you never know with soaps! General Hospital is so hot right now!!! love it! (I also have a big crush oh Derek/Julian! lol so happy he is Sam’s father)
Ava and A.J. would be too obvious…maybe Connie suddenly became Kate and shot herself with A.J.s gun, Maybe Monica came there to confront Connie for ruining A.J.s life and accidentally shot Connie (but has blocked it out of her mind. When A.J. is sentenced Monica will suddenly remember and blurt out the truth but will go free when its revealed to be an accident), or maybe even Alice like Mary F said in another post…there has gotta b a shocking twist and not the obvious. Plus i hope Britt is carrying Lulu and Dantes baby…but i do like your idea its Dantes and Lulus, or maybe Patricks and Lulus would be a good twist…
I met to say Dante and Britts…like you said
my mistake
Just please let the babies go with the right parents and there not be longterm secrecy and confusion. No switching!
Dynamite week!
Had to see Connie go. Love to see me some Diane. Please use this colorful character and the very talented Miss Hennessy!
What will happen? My head will explode because I can’t take this much awesomeness. I freaking love GH!
I am guessing the same as everyone, that Britt has Lulu and Dante’s baby. I think Ava shot Connie because it would be to easy to pin it on man child A.J. I hope this do not mean Ava’s days our numbered on the show I like her character, she reminds me of the old hollywood bombshells that would have men wrapped around her finger. This off topic but Julian is walking around town with no fear of being seen, I am wondering if the character had plastic surgery? considering there are a number of people in town who knew him when he was there before.
Hoping Britt is carrying Dante’s and Lulu’s child– not hers and Dante’s. As for who shot Connie– still think AJ and Ava are too obvious. Ava a mob daughter would not have been so sloppy– shooting Connie point blank range and then not stopping to make sure she was really dead before leaving– she ain’t that stupid. I still think it will be someone out of left field— I was thinking Alice the maid because her initials are similar to AJ, perhaps Connie was trying to write AG. Alice could have drove AJ to the Crimson because he was too drunk to drive or phone a cab. She could have walked in, to see why he was taking so long, saw AJ with the gun try to wrestle it away from him and it goes off shooting Connie. With Julian entering the picture it seems to soon to get rid of his sister– he needs her to help him laundry money through ELQ, so I am hoping Ava is staying– I like the character– Silias and Sam need someone to cause them trouble in their future romance– so hoping it is not Ava.
In the end, it just may be Julian who gets rid of Ava….for supposedly being siblings, there seems to be very little love or affection between them….only friction and dissention. And she does have moments where she is a true loose cannon, which may prove to be her downfall. It all comes off as really odd….does anyone else pick up on these strange vibes????
Well they are not warm and fuzzy toward one another I did pick up on that. But not all siblings are– or perhaps she is not a Jerome by blood, but an adoptive child so he doesn’t really see her as his sister sister. There is definitely a back story there we don’t know about yet. Guess we will just have to watch and find out–
OMG this show is Must See TV I am loving every minute! LOVE YOU GH!
Me too GH is great. Bradford, Kirsten and even Ellie is great..Hate to see Connie go, I hope Diane gets to stay longer. Let Spixie keep their baby
I hope they didnt write Ava into a corner now! I cant wait for Robin to come back so we can see less Sabrina.
IF ONLY…….
I hope it is not Ava or AJ. I am loving Maura West! I don’t want her to go to jail. I hope it was Starr….lol
I love Ava too– now with Julian in town it wouldn’t be much of a crime family without duh — a family. Everyone is saying Ava did it, but maybe because I like the character I just find it hard to believe someone as smart and as cunning as Ava would shoot Connie face to face and just leave without checking to see if she was dead before leaving the body. I believe she is capable of murder, but this just seemed to sloppy for a gal like Ava who plans every move so carefully.
I think they struggled and the gun went off..
And nobody does time on a soap unless they are leaving the show..
If it is Ava, she will get off, no doubt of that.. she has a long term contract..
As I’ve said before, I don’t see either Ava or Julian being all that careful….I think they are getting their kicks putting themselves out there, just to see if anyone catches on. So far, other than Connie, not so much…c’mon people….it’s staring you right in the face!!!! Duh!!!!!!!
Can’t wait for Robin’s return & Sabrina to take a hike she is boring!
Just love being on the edge of my seat for GH time! No guesses…not with the writers we have at the helm..they always have a twist.
whoopie!!
This is an awesome pile-up!!!!
love the 4 daddies and the coming 4 BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM !!
I think both Maxie and the Britch are having/had Dante & Lulu’s babies, and Maxie & Spin’s never was. Not sure who killed Connie… AJ is a given, especially since he can’t remember when he was blind drunk. And Ava is a given too, just cuz she’s evil. Julian was at the hospital, so wasn’t him…. only reason Ava would have done it was if she came in on Connie trying to figure out if Derek was Julian, but she would have had to come in to the office and gone over to see the computer to see what Connie was doing… and Ava didn’t mention to Julian that she was looking for him (when she arrived at the hospital).
so many twists! love it!
Well I think it is almost impossible for a woman to conceive a baby on the same night she miscarried another one. Our hormones are designed to prevent that kind of thing from happening. So I think something is amiss here. I believe Britt lied about Maxi being pregnant with Lulu and Dante’s baby in the first place and then gave something to Maxi that would eventually mimic a miscarriage so they wouldn’t find out she planted the egg in herself— that is the only thing that makes sense to me.
o,k i said from day one britt has dante and lulus baby old news….as for connie ,,,heres my scenario,,,aj leaves drops the gun,,connie picks it up and kate comes through..shooting connie…thats whythe shot was in the tummy…..now in true soap style,,,aj eventually will remember going back to get his gun and seeing the other personality doing the other personality in,,and will search for evidence to clear his name,,,of course this will only be if maura wests character ava doesnt catch on ,,if it doesnt then she did itlll
I thought the same thing– that the stress of being almost killed caused her to disassociate and one of her alters came out and killed her— but then that whole writing the letters AJ in the blood threw me– if she wasn’t writing AJ, what was she trying to write that would apply to her alter Kate or the other Connie?
I think Ava has taken off and since they linked her to Silias– one of their pet characters, it doesn’t seem likely she will be the killer–
I am hoping it will be someone so way out there that no could guess it in a million years– those are the best kind of endings to these stories. I just hope we don’t have a serial killer on our hands– hate to lose anymore characters.
mary it could come out that connie was trying to warn sonny bout ava and julianne
jerome…a nd j
no one seems to be mentioning….
that letter that was addressed to connie… sitting on her desk… and/or Julians’
I don’t know from where…
that has to be telling…. something.
you all are forgetting tht the gun was found on the quartermaine’s property by morgan. so the killer of connie can’t be one of her alters. it has to be someone else other than aj. the killer being aj is too obvious. maybe alice (whts her last name anyway) or ava jerome. didnt ava come to the boathouse to see kiki? she may have dropped the pistol on her way to the boathouse or on her way out after her little talk with morgan.
Randy… that’s so good.
would that we could see Kelly Sullivan playing this out… for the drawn out process… and yes… Connie/Kate would deliver.
it would have been an opportunity for the audience to be treated to stellar acting… in the embodiment of
Truly awesome!!! Loving GH even more than before!!! So many great possibilities!!! The performances are fabulous!!! Can’t wait for the next show!!! So many great surprises!!!
Thank you GH!!! Why this show is not #1 is beyond me…!!!
I feel that Franco will be highly involved in the Connie death story..
I think he witnessed the shooting, and the game begins!!!
Franco has been at the hospital on the roof the whole time. I dont think it would have been possible for him to witness the shooting. I hope Ava did kille Connie and gets caught. That will give Julian the opportunity to turn from his evil ways and become Sam’s father and Alexis’ new man. Leaving Sonny, once again, BMOC (Big Mafioso On Campus) 🙂
I hope the film noir chick killed Connie…. She be able to get away from my Sam and Silas
If she done it…
How do everybody like Julian Jerome
Love him!
Now this is the GH I know and love. All this drama makes me excite. I do not think it is AJ or Ava. Those are obvious choices. It will probably be a twist we never saw coming.
GH has been great this week. I’m loving it.
And Chad has been fantastic in his scenes. I said he just needed a chance to get away from “Kiki” to show what he’s capable of. I hope they don’t have him going back to just making goo goo eyes and making out with his girl friend again.
And Spinelli was fantastic today too. What a fantastic display of talent in his scenes. Can you say EMMY?
I love all the mysteries that are coming to a head now. Keep it up writers!
I love it too!!
but- now that we were thrilled with the high drama reaching its peek, hereafter there will be a lot of complaints over nothing spectacular happening because the stories will have to develop for some time until we get the BIG THRILLS again/ takes time to get to that point..
but!!!! it will come again, and when it does it will awesome!! 🙂 worth the wait!
with robin coming back this fall the luke and laura story needs to go full forward,,,now other storylines will heat up as these climaxes play out ,,do i daree say it general hospital is allmost as good as revenge,,,and thats saying a lot.
– Kelly Sullivan – Roger Howarth –
props to Connie – AJ – Ellie.
it was riveting good stuff…. just watched the last 2 epi
Kelly Sullivan…. what a consummate professional. with ease, even in death, she shared with the audience her skill at playing script and talented why she’s one of the best to grace daytime. I was riveted, even knowing Connie demise… she reeled in skillfully… her love for Sonny… “I knew you’d get here.”
props to Olivia… tears for the winsome twosome…. Connie and Olivia. She’s never more real when she’s with Connie. once again… Olivia displayed more acting chops… yes, it was tears, in anguish, but her realness in losing her cousin…. was heartache… watching the demise of two stalwart actors feeding off of and reading each other… was on par natural. This treat.. is going to leave a gaping “whole”. Oh, GH.. tell us you knew this was going to be an obvious remiss on your part. A glaring err
Roger Howarth… He is bewilderment… He is dark mystery… He is childlike… He is sexy… you’re in his arena… he’s emotional without faltering… you can’t not want what he wants… LOL… OK
He treats the audience… those who are in constant wonderment. it’s disarming to share your take.. so it’s OK to leave well enough alone… and just enjoy his ride.
it’s not even what you think…. I never watched OLTL… saw his part of Todd on GH… saw him as Paul on ATWT… and now he’s Franco. dang I like that he’s back, without that blond hair… I posted that Franco is lucky he’s Roger Howarth… I can overlook that he’s Franco.. because of RH acting abilities to transport his fans. so? irrelevant… hey.. that’s why soaps capture from day to day.
props to AJ – dang! wasn’t he just as good… when under the gun…. not even saying a word… but… playing his confusion… blacking out? parlaying his position… what an opportunity for Sean Kanan.
props to Ellie – “i’m not giving up on you without a fight”. she clearly calmly stated her position in the secret of Spinelli’s baby. who doesn’t want to see and hear the truth… “I Love you”. albeit, with baggage and untold truths. oh man… it’s soap and drama unfolding that fans identify with Ellie is cute… refreshingly interesting… and her loyalties shouldn’t be reamed to the extent that she got it from Spinelli.
once more… on Olivia… this was bar none… her best “vision”… ie: seeing Connie outside the elevator… and… her scenes with Alexis… in the mourning… loss of… and at the crime scene… you see the loss of an actor….
ie: Kelly Sullivan.
ie: Eileen Davidson.
ie: Michelle Stafford.
ie: Jeanne Cooper.
ie: Chandler Massey.
I love them unequivocally
if you want a complete list you’d have to go back to Mona Tyler Kane and Phoebe English Tyler Wallingford and then up to date ..
it would be a very long list )of female actors..
Another Perfect Storm at GH! SOOOO looking forward to these stories playing out!
Some days GH is must see tv; other days, the show sucks big time.
I hate what has been done to the AJ character. AJ should have been brought back as someone who has grown and matured and learned something from all his failures.
I am not, nor have I ever been, a Sonny fan. I don’t see the fascination women have had for him decade after decade. I find him contemptible and certainly not redeemed by those once-upon-a-time dimples which had women swooning years ago. The character has fallen into a morass of ineptitude. He has learned nothing over the years. What he and Tracy have done to AJ with their actions and as importantly their words is beyond contempt. I really hope MIchael turns his back on Sonny and works to take ELQ away from Tracy.
Third time is a charm. Or so it is for Kate/Connie. She has been shot in the belly 3 times: Michael did it in the alley and left her there; Crazy daddy Zachara did it at her wedding; and now by whomever. I really hope it is not AJ.
I would love to see a scene where Sonny tries to intimidate Alice into testifying against AJ and she body slams his skanky butt to the floor then holds him down with her foot.
I LOVE AJ…and I loved his character before as well. I’ve posted this before but I never saw him as evil….I saw him as lost, misunderstood and insecure…always in Janson’s shadow. I was beyond frustrated with GH of old when they took Michael away from him…Carly thought a mob boss and a life of violence was safer than the Q’s? The fact that Sonny and Carly tortured him emotionally and physically as he fought to get back his son was beyond painful to watch for me.
So now, in his “new” incarnation…he is STILL misunderstood, condescended to, insulted, berated…why? There is NO justification for any of the writing…the characters all of which are flawed…those criticizing him are either in the mob, lying corporate skanks, backstabbing friends, cheating on family…and yet everyone looks at AJ like he’s the loser and they’re all above him.
With all that he’s come back to prove himself…he’s tried desperately to show he’s responsible, to be a loving father to Michael, to run the company and make his son and passed grandfather proud…and then he gets what he perceives as everything ripped away.
He, for me…is one of the most poignant characters, if not THE most…and I hope Michael and Elizabeth (and Alice…and whomever else can rally to his corner) stick by his side.
Kudos to Sean Kanan for making AJ so sexy/vulnerable…
I agree! “AJ” is a treasure, but instead he is treated as trash!!! I’ve always considered “SK” to be fascinating, and loved to see him return to GH. Perhaps this is because one of my college besties hails from his hometown and knows his real-life parents!!!! Toooo cool!
I have been tuning in and out of GH since 1969. Was glued in my college years for the Luke and Laura heyday. Not a fan of the Robin or Felicia characters. Thought Tamara Braun was the bomb as Carly although Laura Wright is pretty good. I miss Ted King and now Steve Burton. I love Nancy Lee Grahn and Carolyn Hennessy and Maurice, of course.
I’m glad I found your site Michael.
I just wanted to say that I was shaking my head the other night thinking that I have tuned in and quickly tuned out the last several years, for Brenda’s return and a few other stories BUT I have actually been watching it DAILY the last couple of weeks!
GREAT STUFF!! Keep it coming GH!!
of course maybe Connie was going to write AJ didn’t shoot her…. could Morgan have done it, telling her he was going to pin it on AJ, who was passed out drunk on the floor of her office then? of course AJ is jumping to the conclusion that he shot Connie… I’m guessing it’s Ava, but would think Connie would have just put Av or Ava, not the gal’s initials knowing that anyone would think AJ Quartermaine. But it’s a soap, so anything is possible.
I think you are correct. I think she was indicating Ava Jerome when she wrote AJ.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.
Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.
As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.
Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS
Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.
In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Courtesy/ABC
Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”
So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
