General Hospital
THIS WEEK On General Hospital: Is It Curtains For The Relationship Between Sonny, Jason, and Carly?
We think, it looks as if Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) life is about to come apart at the seams, after the love of his life, Sam (Kelly Monaco) had already broke up with him, and now not being there when his mob boss and friend, Sonny (Maurice Benard) needed him the most.
In the latest promo from ABC for the action this week on General Hospital, the story picks back up from Friday’s cliffhanger where Sonny and an already dead Julian (William deVry) fall into the waters below after the bridge they were on collapses as Jason arrives on the scene to late to help Sonny.
The way the promo reveals itself it tells the viewers to “prepare yourself” and then we get an image of Carly (Laura Wright) at the door where it looks like she knows something horrible has happened and she is about to find out.
What will she do when Jason tells her what happened on the bridge? Will this be the end of their enduring friendship? Will Jason realize being a hit man is not the way he can live anymore if he loses every one he loves?
Finally, where is Sonny? Who will find him, and will anyone know Julian is dead?
Check out the promo below and then let us know what you think will happen next in the lives of Sonny, Carly and Jason via the comment section.
Well, let’s start with the obvious; Sonny won’t die. Second, I could see Carly not blaming Jason and them hugging it out. BFF’s to the bitter end. The body the police pull from the water will be ID’d as Julian’s and Sonny will wash up on shore next to a very-much-alive Morgan; both returning to their family on Christmas Eve. Let’s see if any of this comes to life.
Sounds good,we’ll see
Well they did pull a dead Julian out of the river, no Sonny, and Jason showed up at Carlys that was the end
As much as I would like to see it, I doubt Morgan’s just been hanging out in the woods for the last two years or so, since Julian’s car blew up.
Yeah he’s alive somewhere, but probably not there. Sonny returning to his family as an “Xmas miracle” is highly likely though. Morgan might have to wait until February sweeps. You can bet your soul he’ll be back in 2021 one way or another.
I’m full in for Jason and Sam to split..
They are quite the boring annoying couple.
Actually, they have long outlived their time.
Sam will hook-up with Brandon and
I’d like to see Carly and Jason get it on..
If Morgan is alive, that will be great I like him.
Sonny is alive, of course, and Julian hmm there won’t
be body so to keep the character returnable.
All-in-all, GH has come alive and is running hot.
Much better than YAWN Y&R it’s overkill of stale..
Want me to join the conversation I think you’re wrong about Jason and Sam I don’t think Carly and Jason should ever get it on no Morgan should not come back to life no Sunny will not be dead and no Julian is not coming back if you read the excerpt from the story that he said when he was leaving general hospital he will not be back well I’m pretty sure he will not be back and who is Brandon it’s Brando and no she won’t get it on with him either
No Carly and JASON HOOK UP they then friends for quite a while but am all for him and BRITT
They hook up and the Sonny comes back
Morgan and Nell will come back together.
Yes!!! That would be wonderful! Can’t wsit
Agree!
I believe that sonny won’t know anyone.he won’t remember his kids or wife.and during this time Morgan shows up and he shocks sonny back to reality.
That would be great
ABC NEWS interrupted the show at 15 minutes from the end. Again.
I’ve had enough. Another viewer lost.
The show has no control over when ABC news interrupts them so this is a ridiculous comment.
You can download the ABC app and watch the whole show
If Morgan isn’t another crime boss. He always wanted to take over Sonny’s business.
Rodd, yes I agree with you, hope it turns out that way, especially with Morgan he has been dead for too long time to bring him back now….Sonny will have memory loss for awhile
Dont like it. Dont surprise me because they broke up Jasam. They ruin Julian Alexis and Sam. .. for Jason to be with Carly !!!!
I’m through with the writers all this shiut for them..
I am with you, sam is boring without jason. Just get protection and do what Carly does geesh.
Sam seems to have lost her zeal. Dont know if a new partner will help. Maybe if Drew comes back. Jason with Carly is a VERY bad idea…Jason needs a bit of a mystery woman
love your last line… isn’t that mystery woman, Britta ? she dazzles, and has so much across the board appeal. she’s thee IT girl as far as i’m concerned… leading lady stats… as much as i’d LOVE to see STONE COLD AUSTIN, move a little bit… i’m warming to this twosome. just not the dread of Britta sharing screen time w/Carly and Sonny. they may as well try and get Sam to blink or put on a new shade of lipstick with Brando, which will go no where… and there is certainly no dwelling on the past. Sam and Jason have titanic.
Wow! Jason got from just outside of NYC to just outside of Buffalo (where Port Charles is) in a ridiculous amount of time. For us mere mortals, it’s a 6 hour drive. But for him, a 6 minute one! 🙂
Even more unlikely is that the Jersey cops from the bus station would get there just as fast, or that they would have jurisdiction at the bridge.
Wasnt that amazing!only Jason could do that.
Time is irrelevant on a soap opera.
sonny wakes up next to morgan and we find out that everything that happened after morgan fell in water was a bad dream and never happened.
I read somewhere Sonny has amnesia…maybe Morgan does too???
I want somebody anybody to explain to me the relationship of Sam and Jason??? If that is love I just don’t get it and from the way the actors have been acting since Burton came back I don’t think they do either .
The moronic OLTL regime started writing Sam & Jason out of character from the moment they took over the show in February 2012. They wasted 8 months throwing that idiot McBain (who never belonged on the show in the first place) in the middle of them, had Sam thinking her baby was dead (thanks to another stupid piece of Lameview trash) and when that was all finally resolved, Jason, Sam, and the kid had literally 24 hours together as a family before the regime killed off a major legacy character (or at least it would appear so, for the next 5 years)
Sadly between another incarnation of McVampire, the ridiculous pairing of Sam to Patrick Drake and then the confusion of Drew showing up, believing he was Jason (and all that followed) they have never fully recovered from the damage.
So in other words blame it all on Frank Valentini and his former sidekick, ReRon.
I totally agree with you. The writers destroyed JaSam,and they are destroying General Hospital!
John McBain was an amazing character on OLTL as is the actor who plays him. They did not kill off the Jason character. Steve Burton chose to leave…and when he returned it ultimately cost Billy Miller his job. He had true chemistry with Sam. Correct that the writers never really reunited Sam and Jason the way fans expected…too many hurdles and I rather have them move on. New love interests will make them more likeable characters…if the characters choose to stay around.
Sam was the only women to accept Jason flaws and all and loved him unconditionally and vice versa. Sam accepted Jason’s lifestyle since day one and wanted to raise a family with him since day one even after seeing countless kids/ppl be hurt and effected from his way of living because that’s how much she loved and trusted Jason. For some reason the writers decided to erase that history and ppl gone see what they want to see when it comes to the actors because of ppls feel like Steve came and took Billy’s job, so many wanting to believe Kelly prefers Billy over Steve which is stupid because Kelly also loved Greg Vaughn in 2008 and loved LuSam but it didn’t effect her working relationship and the chemistry she had with Steve moving forward. Hope that helps lol
I agree with every detail Bravo
We need to take over some of the writing, ridiculous sick os sam always being depressed! Let’s get a little drama, adventure and happiness in the mix!
I think this is where Mike returns to show Sonny his time has not come yet- he has more to do- Christmas future
Ok this is out of nowhere. we must bring back focus to their show. This is the best they can do folks. Who drinks the kool aid on this shit. Happy effin new year to their expletive show. But you know what, it’s nice to remark that general hospital has a lot going on in and around the slop that is just Sonny and Carly.
Hey Patrick-
Sonny and Carly are stagnated.. like watching moss growing.
There is no-one else for them to hookup with
so the will be forever, sigh..
They’re like brother and sister living together..
No spark definitely not sexy, they just are that’s it they just are.
Great!!! Now the lawyer Martin will be given good stories.
I like him and it will good to have him up front
(that is if he’ll be given good stories)
Martin being involved with Laura will be interesting.
Yes theyd make a great couple,I love the Southern accent they gave Martin.
A great couple? Uh… you know he’s her brother, right?
They’re brother and sister. Eeew
Aren’t they brother and sister
Yes step
Max’s Mom
Not step, half, same father, big difference. Cyrus is also her half brother. Can’t wait to see how this all works out.
I thought felons couldn’t carry a gun in NYS. Sam’s parole officer told her she couldn’t be with Jason because he’s a felony, but the cop at the bus station told him he could pick up his gun tomorrow? Crazy!
Does Jason even have any actual felony convictions? As far as I can remember, he confessed to a crime once, and that was only so he could go to prison to protect Michael (who should have never been there at all, but that’s a whole other discussion)
And I thought that conviction was overturned, along with Michael’s, when both were released from prison.
So I doubt Jason actually a “convicted felon” at all. Yeah, we all know what he does for a living, but that’s different from an actual legal conviction record.
This is how Jason & Carly become lovers. It has been building up to this for a long time now. Deep abiding friendships very often end up with people falling in love. And just as they realize this, Sonny will show up. It will end up very messy & complicated. Because both Jason & Carly truly love Sonny. Its the ultimate soap triangle!
Jason and Carly together make me sick no way no how. If that happens I won’t even read about the show, which is what I do now cause they have screwed this show up completly. Morgan is dead leave him there!!
It would be the ultimate triangle, and I’m hoping for that. Carly and Jason would be the best match because of their long standing friendship. Carly will never leave because of his job and Jason wouldn’t leave no matter what crazy scheme Carly pulls. All they need is to go from love to in love and voila! Sonny comes back, drama ensues… or, Sonny can be found, no memory, he is recognised, they bring him back home without his memory, he sees and notices the love between Jason and Carly and starts asking some questions because he is seeing them from the perspective of an outsider while Jason is teaching him the business again.
Well I Havnt been able to watch in years do to my job, but every time I want to catch up its the same story. How many times can Sonny, Jason ANF Julian die, what are they cats. Or maybe it’s something in the Port Charles water.
I like Sam and Jason together and I’m pissed they are breaking up… And Sonny better not be dead!!
All I know is I want willow and Michael together!!
Prayers for Mr. James Patrick Stewart & His Family
SONNY WILL BE FOUND BECAUSE CYRUS cannot run port Charles down what would be the point of drugs being the victory
This is all so riveting and well written! We know that Willuam Devry (Julian) has left the show, and is now dead. But we have no idea about Sonny! He was dead near where Julian was, and Jason has now told Carly. Wow!
The real Christmas miracle would be for Sonny to be presumed dead and never heard from again…
Is it too late for Carly and Jason to also fall into the river and meet the same fate?
I think it was really lousy after an exciting week to have Sonny not be with his family for Christmas, especially since there will be no new shows until next week. I for one, like he and Carly together. They ground each other and I do not see or want to see Carly and Jason be anything to each other than loving friends who have always been there for each other. I am sick of Jason and Sam together, actually just sick of Sam, and have been hoping for some time to see Jason and Britt ignite and burn. I am hoping for something between Brando and Sasha, I think they are good together. Morgan can stay gone. I saw nothing of his character but causing trouble for his family and betraying Kiki with his sick sex trysts with her own mother. Maybe Ava seduced him, but he sure didn’t look like he was forced in any way. The dog even went after the fake cousin played by Ava. I feel for Alexis and her plight as the misunderstood drunk. Her daughters should know she can’t be helped until she wants it and I don’t think they are helping by treating her like crap!
Sorry to take so much space and would like to wish everyone a healthy and better New Year ahead.
About a year ago, there were a couple of episodes where Jason had these surprisingly insightful, soul-searching conversations with people (I don’t remember who) after he realized that the huge and often reckless risks he and Sam routinely take with their lives now put their kids at risk of losing them, and their kids have to come first. That was when Sam was trying to convince him that she needed to use herself & her son as decoys to attract Shilo and get him away from her sister, and Jason reluctantly went along after Sam told him to chill out and trust her and her harebrained scheme (that totally backfired). How can she suddenly be taking this moral high ground about safety and their kids? It’s such an implausible turn for the character, particularly so soon after the Shilo thing. Also, this means she sold her kids’ shares in ELQ (and screwed over the company & allowed Cyrus to take over the hospital) for absolutely nothing. Sam is not a likeable character to start. This sure isn’t helping. What is the writers’ long game, since they are ruining what was left of Sam? Is Kelly Monaco on her way out too?
Sonny Corinthos is alive and being held captive by Mikkos Cassadine, Helena Cassadine, Victor Cassadine, Stavros Cassadine, Jerry Jacks, Lorenzo Alcazer, Diego Alcazer, Ric Lansing and Peter Augest they also have the real Lulu Spencer by (Julie Marie Berman), Morgan Corinthos by (Drew Garrett), Geogie Jones, Drew Cain, Emily Quartmaine by ( Natalia Livington), Kiki Jerome by (Kristen Alderson), Sabrina Santaiago, Lilly Rivera with Sonny Corinthos and her son, Karen Wexler by (Cari Shayne) with Jason Morgan and her son Dev Cerci aka Stone Cates the 2nd, Duke Lavery, Holly Suton, the real Nikolas Cassadine by (Tyler Christopher) and Nathen West.
Also with Zander.
Mikkos Cassadine will never be back, as John Collcos is long dead, and there is nobody on Earth or in Hell who could pull off a recast of that character.
And no version of the Kiki character is (or was EVER needed) nor is the extremely devoid of talent Disney Bubblegum princess ever needed in any form. Same goes for Sabrina. Other than StarrKikiTwit, she was the lamest thing ever invented by ReRon.
I don’t see Lily ever returning as she was blown to bits and shown several times as a resident of my former home, Heaven. And Helena is very much an established resident of my current home, Hell. She’s not escaping again! Neither is Stavros, but Victor’s not down here, so he’s probably in hiding somewhere. Probably in Salem, actually……
Alcazar….. sure they could bring him back, since he never really was confirmed dead. Don’t think we really need another mob villain at the moment with Cyrus the Virus chewing up the scenery, but there might be some future storyline possibilities. Not Diego though. Waste of time character. And already died at least twice.
I’m totally with you on the return of the real Lulu Spencer (and her brother Lucky too, for that matter.) And we obviously know that Morgan was never dead, but I’m not sure why you would want an ex-Michael to play him. Drew (like Morgan) was never actually proven dead, so I wouldn’t be at all surprised to find him in that weird WSB clinic in Switzerland. Or where ever it is that Holly is being held prisoner, probably by somebody on Whiny Heiny’s payroll.
Karen Wexler being Dev’s mother is an interesting thought…. as long as they never bring Jagger Cates back. Not even going to elaborate on that one… we all know what he turned into…… At least if Dev & Karen were related and both resurrected, it would give Scotty some relatives who aren’t Frodd! (On that subject, why the Hell don’t they bring Serena Baldwin back?)
Only problem with all of the above is that GH appears to be cutting their cast at the moment, so it’s not at all likely that all these people will be returning soon. Though they could always cut Frodd, Whiny Heiny, and Ava to make room for some of them…..

GH and OLTL Alum Patrick J. Gibbons Reveals the Story Behind Writing Trina’s Song on ‘General Hospital’ (Exclusive)

At the conclusion of today’s August 21 episode of General Hospital, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) sings a lullaby to baby Dez, that went into a montage to close out the episode as her father Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) reports to Pentonville and winds up in his jail cell.
However, in a fun fact, the song entitled, “A Lonely Heart To Give” was actually written by none other than former One Life to Live and General Hospital actor, Patrick J. Gibbons.
Daytime fans first met Gibbons as Sam Manning on One Life to Live. At the time, when he started on the soap, he was just 5-years-old. Gibbons played the part from 2010-2013 on ABC and Prospect Park’s editions of the show. Fast-forward to 2018, Gibbons shows up on General Hospital as Wyatt Hoover, the scout who seemed always be injured, but in the thick of the drama. Patrick had appeared on GH multiple times as Wyatt including: 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023.

FROM HIS GRANDMOTHER’S DEATH CAME THE INSPIRATION FOR HIS SONG
Now in 2026, General Hospital fans are getting to learn about another side of Gibbons’ talent as a songwriter and guitar player after “A Lonely Heart to Give” debuted today! Michael Fairman TV caught up with Patrick, who is now a senior at Penn State entering his final year as a finance major, to get the back-story of how his song wound up on GH!
Gibbons explained he wrote the song in honor of his grandmother who passed away a few years ago with whom he was, very, very close with. “Randomly, my grandmother had a downfall and passed away during the second semester of my sophomore year. I was in my dorm a lot and I was just playing with my guitar. And at the time, I was really into finger-style playing. I wrote the lyric and music to it (with a little help from my guitar teacher Lou), and my mom showed the rough demo to Frank Valentini (EP, General Hospital). He’s like an uncle to me. Frank loved it so much he said, “Finish that up. I want to hear the whole thing, and I want it on the show.”
MAKING MUSIC FOR GENERAL HOSPITAL
Gibbons and his parents took the next steps! “So now, all we needed was a female voice, because I thought that would fit the song well,” Patrick shared. “At the golf club we go to my parents were at a dinner. They liked the singer that was performing and spoke to her about the song, and she says she would like to bring it to her ‘boss’ who ended up being Eric Bazilian of the Hooters fame!” (Bazilian also wrote the smash hit song “One of Us” for Joan Osborne).
Next, “We went in the studio and recorded it and the song came together and it was beautiful. We loved it. They loved it at General Hospital and now they’re putting it the show and they are coming in with a piano, instead of a guitar. Paul Glass, the GH musical director, has been keeping us updated over the last six months of how it was coming along, and when it would air, and how GH put their own arrangement to it. I can’t wait to see and hear what they did with it.”

PATRICK’S ONE LIFE TO LIVE FAMILY
Everyone knows that the One Life to Live extended family share a very tight bond, and Patrick said he does stay in touch with a few of his former One Life to Live co-stars, especially those from the Manning family! “I stayed in touch with Kassie DePaiva (ex-Blair) and sent her little videos here and there. She was like my second mom for five years. We keep in contact with Kristen Alderson (ex-Starr) over X the most, and she can’t believe how big I’ve gotten. Like, none of them can! (laughs). I also loved working with Roger Howarth (ex-Todd) and Trevor St. John (ex-Todd and Victor Jr.), and to me since I was so young, they were just my friends, ‘Roger and Trevor,’ not Todd Manning or Victor Jr.”
It was a trip to California and a visit to Port Charles that ultimately led to Gibbons second soap role of Wyatt Hoover. Patrick explains, “In 2016, Frank Valentini invited us out to Los Angeles to visit the set of General Hospital. I think he heard me say, ‘This is so much fun. I miss being on the set.’ He goes, ‘You should come out. I’ll bring you on the show. We can make you a character.'”
A few years later, Patrick’s dream became a reality! “Then, by the summer of 2018, I was playing Wyatt, the scout, and shared scenes with Wes Ramsey (Peter August), and the best was when I shared a scene with Roger Howarth and Michael Easton (ex-John, OLTL and ex-Silas, Finn et al, GH), it was like chemistry from the old days.”

IT’S ALL IN THE NUMBERS
As to his future aspirations, it’s a career in the finance game that has piqued Gibbons’ real-life interest. But never say never to a return to acting. Patrick explained, “I’ve always enjoyed numbers. And on top of that, one of the biggest parts of finance is being personable and outgoing.”
He continued, “That’s one of the greatest skills I developed growing up. I really love the markets. I’m super interested. I’m never going to close the door to acting. I’m always open to that because I just love it so much. It’s such a great art.”
Take note! If there are any investment bankers or private equity folks among the GH faithful looking for a young analyst next year, Patrick’s DMs are open. You can find him on X at @PatrickJGibbons.”
So, what did you think of the song sung by Trina on today’s GH that was written by Patrick J. Gibbons? Did you enjoy Patrick’s performances as One Life’s Sam and GH’s Wyatt? Would you like to see him back on GH at some point? Let us know via the comment section.

‘General Hospital’ Alum Chad Duell Admits That He Didn’t Expect the Role of Michael Corinthos to be Recast, and Would Consider Working on Another Soap (Exclusive)

Chad Duell, the Daytime Emmy-winning actor, who stepped away from the pivotal role of Michael Corinthos on General Hospital, opened up about: his previous decision to leave the series after nearly 15 years, where’s he’s at now after time away from the demands of a daytime soap opera, and took a stroll down memory lane with some of Michael’s most-acclaimed storyline during his run, during a livestream chat on August 19 on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel.
Viewers last saw Duell on-screen as Michael in January of 2025, and with his successor in the role, Rory Gibson making his debut at the GH Nurses’ Ball in episodes that aired later in May. It was clear that during the conversation, Chad was a bit surprised that the GH brass decided to recast him when he thought he was just taking some much needed time off.
Burn-out of the daily grind of being on a soap was definitely a part of Chad’s decision to take a break. Duell explained “People know when you’re doing something for so long or your character is kind of in the same place for so long or doing the same stuff over and over again, you do get a a little burnt out, you get a little stiff, stale, a little stiff at times. I didn’t want that to be any sort of lasting impression. I have 15 years of a body of work of I’ve done on that show, which is fantastic.”

WHILE CHAD WAS AWAY GH RECAST MICHAEL CORINTHOS WITH RORY GIBSON
Chad shared, his mindset when leaving GH was, “I’m taking some time away, we’ll see what happens.” Then he added, “Obviously, they decided to go in a different direction with Michael when I was gone. I didn’t think they were going to bring somebody back in my place. But you know, it’s the business. You never know what can happen.”
Duell also shared he has not watched a single episode of General Hospital since he left the series, but now feels he reenergized following the loss of his father and stepping away from the GH, “I’m in a place now mentally, where I’m ready to sink my teeth into it again.”

Courtesy/ABC
Even though he is no longer Michael on GH, Chad was very happy with his final storyline where Michael was set on fire when a bomb exploded at Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) penthouse. “It was fun to put him in a dangerous situation, because I was wanting Michael to be in something scary instead of trying to be a hero character or just things happening around him, but to be the center point of tragedy happening to him. (I always saw) Michael as the heart of the (Corinthos) family.”
When Michael was badly burned the show chose not burn his face, which normally a soap does when they are recasting role and switching actors. Chad weighed-in, “They didn’t burn my face because I told Frank Valentini (EP, GH) I’m willing to come back. It was just a little bit of a break. So, I assumed that if they would have burned my face, they could have brought somebody back looking different than me… if that’s what their plan was.”

MEMORABLE MICHAEL STORYLINES
One of Chad’s most memorable performances was the in the storyline of Michael’s rape while he was sentenced to prison in 2010 and the confession of it in 2011. “It was so well-written and I was very nervous,” recalled Chad. “When I get really nervous about something, it ends up being really good when I do it, because it just means I care a lot about it”
“I have to put a lot of effort and work into it, and I really want it to be good. I was working with Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) and Steve Burton (Jason) a lot during those scenes, and Laura Wright (Carly). It was great working with Steve and Dominic, especially, during that storyline.
A NEW SOAP ROLE FOR CHAD?
As to a future soap opera role, Chad is open to the idea and would love to jump back in to a juicy role, “I know people over at The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Young and the Restless. They know that if they’re interested, I would love to come in for a screen test or something, and they can see what I’m doing.”
Meanwhile, Chad has been busy putting out new music under the moniker Duelly and during the interview he explains how he creates his EDM tracks and much more. You can stream his latest single, Static in the Quiet Room on Spotify, Apple Music and You Tube Music.
You can check out the full conversation with Chad Duell below.
Now let us know: what show would you like to see Chad cast on down the line? BTG, DAYS, B&B, Y&R, or a new role on GH? What did you think of his thoughts on the casting switch while he was away in the role of Michael? What was your favorite Michael storyline during Chad’s 15-year run on the ABC soap opera? Let us know via the comment section.
General Hospital
GENERAL HOSPITAL: Ric’s History of Jealousy Where Elizabeth is Concerned Has Come Back Around

On General Hospital, Ric Lansing (Rick Heart) is about to fall back into dangerous old patterns by the foreshadowing during the Wednesday, August 19 episode. After first coming to see his brother, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and telling him of his plan to propose to Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) his longtime love tonight, Sonny has concerned.
Next, Sonny reminds his brother of what has happened in the past, when things have gone south with Elizabeth and wonders if it’s too soon for him to propose to her. What Ric did not tell Sonny is that he has seen the developing closeness between Sonny’s son, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Elizabeth, which is propelling his urgent need to propose.
Meanwhile, Dante ran into Elizabeth at the park during a break from their mutual team softball games. She needs help with a bookcase after the game at her house. Dante wants to put it together for her. Later, Dante arrived at Elizabeth’s house, limping after injuring his knee during the game. Head nurse Liz wanted to check out the injury as much as Dante protested, which required him to take off his pants.

RIC BEGINS TO UNRAVEL
Outside Elizabeth’s widow, Ric arrives with a bouquet of roses and the engagement ring. When he leers through the widow he is shocked to see Elizabeth rubbing Dante’s leg while Dante is in his boxer/shorts. He storm troops into the house, demanding to know what is going on here? Both Elizabeth and Dante look surprised by his reaction. In the pick-up of today’s Thursday, August 20 episode (see GH video teaser below), viewers will learn the upshot for all three characters.
A VENGEFUL PAST
As longtime GH fans know, Ric has done some horrible, vengeful things in regards to Elizabeth starting back in 2003 after she lost her baby after Ric’s ex, Faith Rosco pushed her down a flight of stairs. Ric accused Sonny for the accident and to get revenge, Ric kidnapped Carly (who was married to Sonny at the time), and stashed her in a panic room below the house where he was living with Liz.
On top of that, Ric fed his wife Elizabeth birth control pills to keep her from getting pregnant so that they could raise Carly’s baby together after it was born. Eventually, Elizabeth found Carly in the panic room but ended up having a pulmonary embolism. When she woke up in the hospital, Elizabeth was all confused by what happened, and Ric convinced her that her vision of Carly was just a bad dream. Eventually, Elizabeth learned the horrifying truth and divorced Ric.
Years later, Ric noticed the connection between Elizabeth and “Jake Doe” who eventually turned out to be Drew (Billy Miller) A jealous Ric hired Hayden Barnes to show up and claim to be “Jake’s” wife. Elizabeth stepped aside, and when Ric planned to propose to Elizabeth at the 2015 Nurses Ball, Carly exposed his manipulations, and Elizabeth dumped him yet again. And those are just two examples of the lengths Ric will go to for Elizabeth!
So, we ask you, given the history of Elizabeth and Ric, how do you see this playing out with Dante in the picture? How will Ric derail their growing bond? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
