General Hospital viewers will notice a different Jordan Ashford in a few episodes as Tiffany Daniels temporarily replaces Briana Nicole Henry.

As previously reported and revealed by Henry herself, the actress did contract Covid-19 and during her time away from the ABC daytime drama series, she had to be replaced for some episodes.

In a post on her Instagram story this week, Henry opened up about the casting switch that actually brought her best friend to Port Charles for a bit.

Briana stated: “I appreciate all the love and support from you guys worried about my status as Jordan on GH. I got Covid over the holidays and had to take a couple weeks off,” She went on to say, “Someone needed to fill in for me. Coincidentally, it’s my best friend! So, I am back at GH and please enjoy the beautiful Tiff D. for the next couple of episodes.”

Daniels has appeared in numerous primetime drama and comedies over her career.

So, let us know how you feel Tiffany did subbing for her friend, Briana, via the comment section below  and note that soon Henry will be back on-screen as Jordan,

For a pinch-hitter, Tiffany Daniels is doing incredibly well, and I anticipate the return of Briana Nicole Henry!

I so agree with you, Scott. Tiffany did not miss a beat!!

Hello Celia, long time… I thought Tiffany was delightful from the very first scene. Jordan is such a basically joyless character; I find it hard to like her. But I also agree with Su000 that she and Curtis aren’t clicking yet. I did love when she arrested off-her-rocker Alexis. These aren’t just alcoholic reactions; I’d have sympathy for that. She’s just in need of major help…and NOT from a psychiatrist who also offers “bedroom” therapy!

Hey, Soaphound….,Long time is right—seems like ages. This entire year seemed endless; yet, seems to have gone by in a flash, at the same time.
Life goes on, good or bad, we are survivors!!
Tiffany’s first appearance was refreshing, but I must agree with you that the “Jordan” composition is like a contagion. She does not exude “joy”, LOL. As yourself I would have welcomed a ” joyful” Jordan ( pardon the unintentional alliteration) —-maybe there’s still hope. And, I also agree with Su—-Curtis is hot–so sexy—a makes-me-weak-in-knees-kind-of-man. None of the “Jordans” has shown that fire—-burning enough to match Curtis’. I like Tiffany, but I can’t feel the chemistry between them. We haven’t seen them interact—-no holding, no hugging, no kissing due to Covid.
When in Curtis’ presence, Jordan should give him a come-hither look as she lightly wets her lips with her tongue……Then, ye gods should switch scenes or go to commercial.LOL.
As far as Alexis—I am at a loss here. Grahn is such a great actress—-she plays the part to the hilt—but, I wonder why TPTB are doing this —This is so old—been there, done that. I think we are all familiar how alcohol, or any addiction can devastate an entire family—-but, pick someone else with another “disease”.
The writers are not doing this woman or any other female any good—-makes her look weak!! She stumbles and falls—gets herself up and then go through it all over again. Yikes!!
Will Alexis ever cross over and stay there?—-or will this poor woman run in circles for the rest of her soap-life? Frankly, I am bored—-I simply FF-ed the “therapy” scene.
You’re right–psychiatrist? Child’s play.
Stay safe, my friend!!

Glad to hear Briana is healthy and back to work. Tiffany did a fine job as Jordan. She was very good!

She really made me laugh. This little tiny thing on her mile high heels reading Alexis her rights.

Ohh not good–
nothing to do with the actress Tiffany Daniels-but
she is horrible with Curtis – they are totally not good together, no way..Huge mismatch–
ohh well, it’s just for few–
I feel Curtis needs a new and improved love.
He needs someone more awesome than either of them.
Curtis needs a fire in his women and he is shorted.
Briana has no fire, nope.
It’s a chem thing and her and Curtis don’t have it..

When I first saw Trina’s mom who turned out to be Curtis’s old love I felt they would get back together eventually, even for a one time fling. There is so much chemistry between them and very possibly her daughter’s real father.

What about that awesome scene where Ms. Daniels (Jordan Ashford) came clomping-up in her heels, all business, and read Alexis her Miranda rights at GH? You go, girl.

I’m sorry, but though Tiffany is definitely a good actor, she was completely wrong as a fill-in. Being a beautiful black woman doesn’t make her automatically a good choice. She is considerably more frail than the character of Jordan needs to be to be convincing as ex-DEA; very soft-spoken and unsure in her movements. For instance, when she helped arrest Alexis, she walked away with her own hands behind her back. No police officer is going to walk with their hands behind their back, it was as though she were a playing make-believe. And where does she keep her gun, attached to her skirt somewhere, or in the handbag she also didn’t have? This is not just on Tiffany though, she is who she is. I just don’t know what the casting director was thinking putting her in, or the director okaying her performance. The fact that there is no chemistry between her and Curtis was mentioned, but I want to second that. As said, Tiffany can obviously act, she just shouldn’t have been placed as the Jordan Ashford stand in because nothing about her fits the part.

‘General Hospital’ Alum Sydney Mikayla Recalls Playing Trina Robinson, ‘I See Her as a Reflection of Black Excellence’

Sydney Mikayla is featured in the latest edition of Eclair Magazine. The former General Hospital star, where she played the first Trina Robinson became very popular during her run from 2019-2022.  In the spring of 2022, Mikayla decided to step away from the soap to focus on her education and attend UCLA full time.

The actress was replaced by Tabyana Ali, who has continued the life and times of Trina Robinson on-screen since March of 2022. Now in this new interview, Sydney reflects on her time on the ABC soap.

“Playing Trina Robinson on General Hospital has been incredibly gratifying and deeply meaningful to me. What a lot of people don’t realize is that the role actually began as a day player/co-star situation, so just being invited into that space felt like a huge opportunity. I was especially excited to be working alongside such talented actors like Eden McCoy (Josslyn) and William Lipton (ex-Cameron Webber)—people who were already doing such strong, Emmy-recognized work. Being on set with them pushed me and inspired me every single day.”

EMMY NOMINATONS AND GRATITUDE

It was back in 2021 and 2022, that Mikayla also landed Emmy nominations in the now defunct Outstanding Younger Performer in a Drama Series.”To then be brought on as a contract player for two years, and to receive two Daytime Emmy nominations, was honestly surreal. It wasn’t something I expected, so I approached it all with a lot of gratitude and a sense of awe.”

However, Mikayla who had her own way of playing Trina, shared what was so important to her to represent to the audience. “On a personal level, Trina means a great deal to me. I see her as a reflection of Black excellence—she’s driven, intelligent, and constantly rising to the occasion. Whether she’s navigating complex family dynamics or stepping into leadership roles like helping run an art gallery, she does it with strength and integrity. She’s also an incredibly loyal and compassionate friend, and that balance is something I really admire.”

TRINA IS DRIVEN AND INTELLIGENT

Summing it all up, Mikayla added, “As an actress, playing Trina reinforced the importance of grounding a character in truth. No matter how heightened the circumstances, what resonates with people is honesty and humanity. Trina taught me to lean into that—to keep characters layered, relatable, and real.”

Now the world is Mikayla’s oyster as she enters a new phase of her life and acting career, she shared, “I am really excited about stepping into more physical comedy—I think that would be so much fun and a great way to bring together my background in movement and performance. I’d also love to explore stunt work and action-comedy, just pushing myself in new, more physical directions as an actress. On the storytelling side, I’m really drawn to creating and being part of projects that genuinely move people—especially in television.”

Maurice Benard Gives High Praise to ‘General Hospital’ Writers; Teases Upcoming Sonny Scenes with Anna, Jason, Justine and Ric

Published

With the highly-anticipated returns of Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) on this week’s June 24 episode of General Hospital, Steve Burton’s (Jason Morgan) upcoming return on July 13, which also serves as the ABC daytime drama’s 16,000 episode, things are about to fire on all cylinders in the story, as noted today by series star, Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos).

On Father’s Day, the three-time Daytime Emmy-winning actor and mental health activist took to his Instagram and expressed in a video that he has some unbelievable upcoming senes with the aforementioned Burton and Hughes. Add to that Nazneen Contractor (Justine Turner) and Rick Hearst (Ric Lansing), where Benard gave credit where credit is due to the GH writing team, which is led by co-head writers, Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten..

In this video, Benard said, “I just want to get on here and say that I did some work with Steve Burton, Finola Hughes, Rick Hearst, Nazneen Contractor, and they’re all just fantastic. Truly fantastic. But, I want to say the writing was just exceptional. It truly was. It was exceptional. So, thankful for that kind of writing. I know writers don’t get the credit a lot, but I just want to say to the General Hospital writing team, keep rolling!”

GENERAL HOSPITAL PREVIEW

So now the question becomes, with a major tease like that, what is about to go down between Sonny, Anna, Jason, Justine and Ric? Will we finally get to the end of the line for Sidwell (Carlo Rota), as previously teased by the GH co-head writers? Will we learn what happened to Jason and Anna, fully? Will Justine and Sonny becomes closer or stop their liaisons? And what of Ric? Will he be true blue to his brother or double-cross him? There is a lot at stake as we move further into the summer and one that looks like it could be one of the more exciting ones in years!

FINOLA HUGHES CONFIRMED AMAZING SCENES WITH MAURICE BENARD

As a punctuation point to his video, Benard also shared this written message in the post: “I just did some wonderful scenes with Steve Burton, Rick Hearst, Finola Hughes and Nazneen Contractor and  and unbelievable writing, freaking amazing scenes that you will see in the near future on General Hospital.” In fact, Finola Hughes jumped in the post comment thread and responded, “I loved our scenes so much xxx”

Fans will most likely see all the scenes Benard referred to later in July, since GH tapes approximately six weeks ahead of air.

So, are you excited to see what Maurice is talking about? Are you hyped for what’s to come on GH? Any clue on what you think will go down between the main characters on the soap with the returns of Anna Devane and Jason Morgan to the mix? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
