The series will air a special episode tomorrow on March 24th to mark the anniversary with show based on the loves of their central character, Brooke Logan, who has been played since B&B’s beginnings by Katherine Kelly Lang.  Only Lang and co-star, John McCook (Eric) remain from the original cast.

In a statement on the anniversary, the series EP and head writer, Brad Bell shared to SOD:On March 23rd of 1987, 35 years ago today, the first episode of ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ hit the airwaves on CBS.  It was a day of great excitement and high hopes.  On that day, it would have been completely mind boggling to think that today, March 23, 2022, we would still be going strong, with a bright future ahead! Congratulations to all in reaching this milestone in television.  Whether you were around on opening day (a few of us here were) or joined the ride along the way, I hope you feel as I do, it’s been an incredible place to share our dreams and make some magic. With heartfelt appreciation to the crew, cast, producers, directors, writers, staff, all departments, CBS television, Paramount+, the press and especially our fans…. Happy 35th Anniversary!”

Days Of Our Lives

Sal Stowers On Final DAYS Airdate Shares: “What An Incredible Journey These Past Seven Years Have Been”; Lamon Archey Adds, “Days fans, THANK YOU! We made a SUPERCOUPLE & a SUPERFAMILY #ELANI”

That’s a wrap for both Sal Stowers and Lamon Archey and their on-screen alter egos, Lani and Eli Grant.  Today on the July 1st episode of Days of our Lives,  the couple exited Salem paving the way for the real-life departures of Sal and Lamon who are going on to pursue other TV and film roles.

On her final airdate, Sal tweeted: “What an incredible journey these past seven years have been. To all our #Elani crew and #Days fans thank you for loving and supporting us the way you did. We will miss you much, I will miss you. Xx”

Lamon Archey also added his own tweets, sharing: “#Days fans, THANK YOU! We made a #SUPERCOUPLE & a #SUPERFAMILY #ELANI”

In story, Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) had a special farewell for Eli, and Abe (James Reynolds) adopted Lani so he could be her father again, in very touching moments on the air-show.

Still the departures of Sal and Lamon, who became quite the popular duo as #Elani, will be a very big blow for the long-running NBC soap opera.  But in soap operas, you never know when your favorite actors or characters might return.

So, sad to see Lamon and Sal as Eli and Lani exit Salem today? Comment below.
