TODAY: The Final Y&R Episode of Billy Miller and Michael Muhney!

As previously announced, today January 30th, 2014 is the final airdate of two of the most popular actors ever to appear on the number one soap opera, The Young and the Restless. Of course, we are talking about Billy Miller (Billy) and Michael Muhney (Adam).
Viewers have witnessed over this week a burgeoning showdown between Billy Abbott and Adam Newman over Billy’s discovery that Adam was the hit and run driver who killed his little girl, Delia months ago. Billy has confronted Adam with a gun at the site where Delia was killed, and as we head into Thursday’s episode, Billy reveals he has plans for Adam that don’t include taking him to the police station!
In a preview clip from CBS.com on today’s episode, looks like Adam is driving somewhere and Billy is holding a gun on him! This won’t end well probably for either character!
What we do know is that its’ time for fans of Y&R to say their farewells to both Miller and Muhney who left the show late last year under different circumstances. Miller chose not to renew his contract and Muhney was fired.

The character of Billy will not be the same. I didn’t like Tom before and I doubt that it will be any different this time. Sorry to see Billy go, wish him luck in his endavors.
I agree, Tom never fulfilled the role for me I’m nervous as to how this will fit in the weeks to come. I never had a care for Muhney since the day he picked up the role. I think past “Adams” suited the role better. Should be interesting.
… Tom deserves a chance I suppose. But he never seemed right in the role to me either M. I hope he’s grown as a performer or he’s really going to be out of his depth with this role.
He will look like Victoria’s little brother. I don’t see them in romantic scenes the Billy Miller was with the character Victoria. Maybe they are going to replace Victoria with more immature looking actress?
Tom is definitely too young and looks young. I don’t think this is a good move for the show. Victoria needs someone strong.
I’ve been watching for 35 years. I named my daughter “Ashley” of course after Ashley Abbott. I am very disappointed that Billy and Michael left. I don’t think that the new actor for Billy fits well with Victoria. I didn’t know that Adam’s character wouldn’t be back. Or if he does come back, I wasn’t aware that another actor would be playing his part. They’re both great actors. I defiantly watch the show for the actor’s, because everyone knows that the writers need to be replaced. I will still watch, and hope that the story lines improve.
I’ve been watching Y & R for years. Billy and Adam were great actors on this show. I can’t believe that a contract could not be reached on Billy and Adam was fired. Of course, we are out here in the public and we do not know what goes on behind closed doors, but those 2 actors were great on this show. The new Billy can’t even compare to the old Billy. I hope Y & R wakes up and brings both of these actors back. If you don’t, I believe in the long run it may not be good for the show.
The truth of the matter is, Tom does not fit the role of Billy. They need to immediately get rid of him and replace him with the real Billy, that played an excellent role. Tom looks and act like a little boy or some cartoon character. He can’t act. If they want to keep their fans and ratings up, listen to us and get the real Billy back. Send Stitch to his secret life too. He’s a nerd.

I am sorry, but you are so wrong.. I will not watch the Y&R again.. The only part of the story line was Adam & Chelsea. And w/o Michael Muhney the show is not worth watching. There are other shows on TV!! Whenever a main actor is replaced by another actor.. It is never the same. Should have worked it out with Michael Muhney.. I wish Michael and Billy the very best. And hope to see them on TV soon!!!
You are wrong. Somebody will stop watching- that somebody being me. If anyone needs to be fired from the Y+R- its the writers and those that sit in the executive chairs. Without Adam and Billy- both whom were in scenes with Jack…the story line is BORING.

…. I know you’d like to – but you can’t and don’t dicate the viewing habits of others. I suspect there will be some loss of viewers as has been the case in the past when other popular characters have left any daytime soap or primetime offering. Will it end the show – most likely not. But it is the only option viewers have when not happy with the direction of a daytime or primetime series.
i definitely won’t watch the show again..those were the best two roles…the rest …well… boring…
But they made it very interesting, and I will miss the Billy Abbott, no one can replace him, and Adam needs a happier ending, I just don’t think he was treated right just when he was trying to turn his life around, I hate it when they keep replacing the Character, except The picked a good one when the picked Victoria that was a good choice and blended with the family better.
I’ve been watching on and off for 20 years, more on now that there is DVR. I loved Adams character for the flawed human being that he was and for the way he wanted to change for his son. The whole story line was sad. I think the show is really boring without those story lines and really boring for losing such great characters. I’ll be watching where they go and I’m looking forward to watching a new show.
Some people will definitely stop watching the show. I will be one of them! A few weeks back my husband shook his head at me like he couldn’t believe I was watching such drivel. I told him, ” I know the writing is just awful on this show, but they have a few good actors, I really enjoy. Watch this guy. He is so good. He is the main reason I watch.” He watched Micheal’s character with me for a minute and agreed that he was really good. When his character was killed off, they killed off my reason for watching! While the show still has 2 to 3 remaining quality actors, the stories are so bad, I just can’t make myself watch anymore. For Adam, I could even make myself watch Victor Newman, and that’s saying a lot, because I can’t stand that character! There are not enough adjectives to describe how truly horrendous it is to watch that ridiculous character!
I have watched for 20 some odd years. I will miss both characters but will keep watching. I loved Adam. I could always side with his character.
I have watched for 25 plus years. Since both Billy and Adam left I am no longer interested in watching…and haven’t!
Sharon and Adam were a romantic true love affair. That will be missed. Not please with his role these day and that scarf burning and now leaving Billy in the car shameful what they do to certain characters. Dru needs to return and Victor has become disgracful

OMG! No. The Sharon Newman character needs to go. I am so tired of “Sharon” and if by some chance MM returns, the two storylines should never intersect again. And, the day that “Dru” re-enters the show is the day I turn off Y&R forever! I think it’s highly ironic that Billy goes out of his mind with rage at Adam who accidentally killed Delia and “left her there to die on the side of the road” and then he purposely walks away from Adam trapped in the car that then blows up, leaving him to die on the side of the road. Billy had intent, Adam did not. And, now we’re supposed to watch a weak actor struggle with “Delia’s death and Adam’s culpability” for weeks/months. Nope, I just can’t do it. Sadly, while arguing that we should support the show and other actors (earlier this week) I now feel as though I’ve just gotten fed up. There are characters that I just can’t stand, storylines that are stupid, annoying and insult our intelligence and actors who can’t (act, that is). Melody Thomas Scott, Amelia Heinle, Josh Morrow and a few others (“Abby”, “Dillon”, “Avery”, “Chelsea” and “Jack”) I’m sorry to say that I may have just reached the end of my Y&R rope. You guys were great, including Michael Muhney and Billy Miller. But, you all aren’t in enough good storylines anymore to keep me watching. Since you tape 6 weeks or more ahead of time, there is no chance that by Friday you will unravel this huge mess you’ve made. But, I’ll give you until Friday anyway. After that, I’m afraid that I just can’t give you an hour a day anymore.
I too am not pleased with the burning of the scarf but somehow I think Kelly killed Dee Dee so I will continue to watch. I think everyone is too hard on Victor.
I think Michael Muhany did a good job in the role of Adam, and he was fired! where is the innocent til proven guilty!! takin the word of fellow actor not cool I liked him in the role and hedeserves an award

I cannot believe Adam was fired. For what? I loved his acting!! I hate when they bring on new actors in the old roles and we are suppose to care about them like before.
I guess I am way too slow. I knew the voice of Billy off and all that blood masked things, BUT this Billy needs to GO. It is a sacrifise for such good Actors to stay and play our Favorite Actors. Job offers must be plentiful. Who can blame them? So I will Turn ff and Do Netflix in that time slot. Adam was unique and under rated. Good luck you guys. THE new direction of a show I have watche from month one is over.

This new guy cannot reach even hight of real Billy Miller ankle Happy that Victoria is getting divorce from this “tom whoever’ no chemistry between them whatsoever. Also too bad…because Adam & Billy held the show in high standart. I loved Adam’s acting – same as Billy’s acting performance…..they were so natural and kept us wanting more from them. Oh Billy why did you NOT sign the new contract?

I really enjoyed them both. I’m just upset that Adam got blamed for everything & really never had a chance. Doesn’t sound like he got a chance for real either. As for Billy I really liked him too. They just always made him to be such a lousy husband. Not cool all the time. The last thing for me was when you made Adam hit Delia, not cool either. He got the bad part always. I quit taping Y&R after that. He needed to have a chance. Just like he did now. I love them both & I hated to see them go. I don’t watch much anymore, maybe someday.

after almost 40 years,,, Im done…i watch this in high school… ash, makes an apperance now and then… phillis gone… Poor mrs C rest her sole…Now Adam… he new how good he was a shame he got to bing for his briches…. But give him a second chance… do all you can to bring him back… I love this show its a part of my life.. Im going to miss it… RIP R$R as far as im concerened….

Michael Muhney and Billy Miller should get Emmy’s for their role. I have been watching the show since I was 8 years old and now I am 43 eeks. I loved these two characters. They were exciting to watch. Two best actors. Now I am disappointed. Very…. They should at least bring michael muhney back somehow, I don’t think they should have fired a very good actor. Maybe suspension or some fine. Not being fired off the show. That’s not well thought out. He was amazing.

These two guys are/were my favorites on the show. Both extremely good actors and will go on to better things I am sure. I will miss them greatly. I am really irritated about this and at this point don’t care to even watch Y&R again. That is sad because I have watched for 30 something years. Bring Michael Muhney back!!! The show should have room for both him and Eric Braeden. I have doubts as to whether he did what he is accused of!?

I have been watching Y&R since 1987, and with all of my life responsibilities, I have only watched the show sporadically because I just didn’t have time and wouldn’t bother staying up late to watch the DVR show. This past week, however, I made it a point to watch each and every show. I fast forwarded to the parts with Billy and Adam because the acting was phenomenal and these two characters are my favorites. I have not researched the details of why they are leaving the show but am disappointed the the powers to be could not find a way to keep two pivotal actors in the declining age of the soap opera. Best of luck to Billy Miller and Michael Muhney; I have not doubt they will travel to prime time success and the soap opera will crash and burn, especially with such poor leadership.
I am very upset that Michael Muhney was fired and forced to leave the show. He embodied that character completely and even if Adam miraculously survived that crash and fire and they bring on a “new” Adam, it will never be the same. No one but Michael Muhney can do that role. I just wish they could have worked something out to keep him on the show. I know what he “alledgedly” did ,and frankly there’s two sides to every story. I would much rather see the actress who plays Summer go. She brings very little to the character and the show and if they killed off het character it would be no great loss. Perhaps she’s related to the creator, producer, director, or writers of the show the way some of the other actresses are. As for Billy Miller, they are foolish to let him go especially if it was over a contract dispute…some actors are indispensable. These two, Michael Muhney and Billy Miller are. I’ll not be watching your show after this debacle unless you bring these two iconic actors back.
Billy Miller will prob show up in the Bold and Beautiful. They are the #1 show for shuffling their characters from one to the other. After all, they are both created by the Bell Group!

I wholeheartedly agree! I, too have watched for more than 30 years. Michael played the incredibly complcated and troubled Adam with depth not found in most soap actors. As much as you want to hate Adam, you find yourself pulling for him. The “new” Billy is dreadful and not believable in the role. Billy Miller is the ONLY Billy Abbott in my opinion! These two were the only story lines I watched-the rest-fast forward. While I wish them both much success, my selfish side wishes they would RETURN!

No one else can play the character of Billy Abbott as well as Billy Miller. Again, Y&R has let a great actor go because of money. Michael Muhney,also will be missed. Y&R is being ruined and turning off decades long loyal viewers and then when it is cancelled, Y&R big shots will blame the FANS!!

I am 42 years old. I have watched Y&R since I was 8. I have seen characters come and go or be replaced. The current changes will bring about a change Y&R is not looking for. Viewers will change their mind about Y&R and you will see numbers drop. I doubt if they receive an daytime Emmy this year. I will miss both characters. I do not wish to see the old Billy return. He was sickening. No one will measure up to Billy and Michael, the current Adam.
I have been watching off and on for almost 20 years. If they had this old-new Billy back then, the story line wouldn’t have happened with the old Victoria. As I believe they are real life brother and sister (the previous Victoria).
Either way, he looks too young compared to the Victoria they have now. She wasn’t my favorite at first, but she grew on me next to Billy Miller. For the first time in regards to a soap opera, I am truly upset about this change. I hope Miller reconsiders.

I have been watching Y&R for 35 years and have not missed an episode. I just happened to see today’s show as it was recording and about fell off the chair. I knew Adam was getting fired due to being accused of “getting fresh” with Summer and some of the other ladies when it was not wanted. I had no idea about Billy Miller leaving. The new Billy is the old Victoria’s brother in real life and how could you bring someone back to play the role of Billy when he was Noah (Victoria’s nephew) many years ago. Y&R fans don’t forget things like that and cannot replace Billy with who used to play Nick and Sharon’s son. I cannot believe that Y&R was stupid enough to let Billy Miller leave. This show will never be the same and someone needs to slap Victor..he is getting rather ridiculous and really annoying. This may be the last time I watch the show..sad!

I agree! He tries to have the same mannerisms and act like Billy Miller…he is losing and really gives me the creeps too. He looks so much younger than Victoria and I would agree that he looks like her young brother. Y&R has went way downhill fast. If someone don’t get Victor under control, I might just end up slapping the TV soon. Y&R staff is just sad for letting Billy Miller go..he was very handsome and sexy and quite the actor. I am still watching but thank heavens for fast forward on the DVR because some of it is so stupid anymore, I can’t stomach to watch. I will miss Billy Miller too. He did a great job. Not a fan of Michael (Adam). I liked the old Adam, but I don’t blame him for leaving when he did. I will miss Billy. He was cute and sweet.
I can’t believe that the 2 characters I most liked are gone! No one can replace either of them on the show, I have been watching the show for over 20 years and can say that this will not help the show. I agree with all the comments recieved on the new Billy – he looks like a kid and way too yourng for Victoria. As for Michael, truely sad to see him go, maybe, the actress should have left instead – it would have been easier to replace her as I don’t find she adds to the show as much as Billy and Adam did. Bad executive decsions for y & r.
David Tom does look immature in stature as compared to Billy Miller and Amelia but if you really look closely at his facial features, his features appear a little more worn and older than both Billy Miller and Amelia. David’s stature makes him appear younger to some.
I want Michael Muhney as Adam, and I hate the new Billy. I agree with others here, he is too young and too doe-eyed to be Billy and his acting sucks! Billy Miller was cocky and confident and had a spark that was electric with Victoria. Why is Y & R firing some of their best? Hate this new Billy, and want Adam/Michael back… oh, yeah… already said that!, can’t say it enough! And, yes, I will stop watching!

Has always been hard to readjust to character changes but this one is impossible! Have been watching since 1975 – would fold diapers while babies napped. But hey they say it only takes 4 weeks to change a habit -perhaps executives should take note of that!!
I totally agree. It hurts to look at the new Billy. he is not attractive, looks like a kid. Need to shut his mouth and breath through his nose. He is not a fix at all. Victoria looks like she could be his mother. And for Adam, loved watching him, he really played his part on the show. I think these new changes are so sad. It is hard to watch the show anymore. I’m 47 years of age and I can remember watching y&r since the age of ten with my mom . I am so disappointed in the choice that the writers made concerning Adams character. He fit the role perfectly and I hope they do better with Adams replacement. This Tom character has some big shoes to fill which he is doing a terrible job. He has no sex appeal, he is over acting his role to the point that I just want to skip him and get to the next scene please. He acting is awful!!!!
Tom just doesn’t suit the role of Billy. We’re going to miss both of the actors fired and my interest in the show isn’t what it was before. I’ll never figure out why two of the best actors are being replaced and no one will do the work justice. What a shame to abuse the reign of control this much.

This new guy…..playing Billy Abbott actually looks like the other Billy…..but not of the same character…….and I love Michael Muhney…..What a character he had to play…..Love him one minute and hate him the next…….Sometimes you want to hug him and the slap him at the same time……He was tailor made for that role….I dont care what he did to get fired……..He will be missed….!!!! and the same for Billy Miller…..I understand that Billy did not get fired……Nevertheless……..Those of us who have become addicted to Y & R should be considered …..I have learned to love Victor ‘s Character all these years……and he is an Ass……. I think it was a HORRIBLE decision to fire Adam. There had to be a way to make things work and keep him. To let Summer go would have resulted in better rating for Y&R. Billy can not be replaced by this very DULL new Billy. Can’t stand him! I have watched Y&R since the very first airing and have always loved it (even through character changes) but this is to much. These two young men were the heart of Y&R. Please find some way to bring back Adam and Billy.
I cannot believe this. I was blindsided! I didn’t pay attention to what was coming up and I did not expect this at all. I have watched Y&R since 1990 and I cannot think of a day I did not want to watch it…until now. Get ready to join As The World Turns and Guiding Light! This show is going to tank! What are you people doing?! Summer is A HORRIBLE actress, I’ve been waiting for the day you kill her off and instead you kill off Adam? And Billy was the life of the show! This new Billy is just not going to cut it. I think it’s about time I find something else to watch during this time. I have been needing to watch something more worth my while, anyway, and you just made that a whole lot easier!

I’ve always admired Billy because he went as far as spending that $3 million to get the ‘black market’ baby to please his wife and look how Billy lost the $3 million like it was $300!! Now how wrong was that for the producers to NOT NEVER give Billy back what he lost!! Instead, they continue to making Billy look common, bad, gambler, drinking, liar, etc. Billy had a heart of gold and now we must watch a NEW face to me try and fit Billy’s shoes …. I’m disappointed, but thanks for giving Victoria a new hair style!! Wow she needed it! As for Adam character Michael Muhney – I disagree with how he was asked to leave and while I have not yet tried to follow him on Twitter, I agree he probably need time off to be with wife and child or children! I loved, admired, respected, enjoyed and some times disagreed with Adam, but he was smart, good looking, funny, sharp and just a son looking to be accepted!! He and Chelsea look good together, but Heather character and Adam, OMG – that Heather was beautiful, strong, smart, sexy for Adam and not stuck on herself … why did that Heather get sent of the set??? Daggg, well thanks to the Summer stupid character we, I can no longer get to see Michael Muhney as Adam Newman. I’m disappointed …. yes, my heart aches ….. so loved the patience, hopeful and changed Adam. Jack was smart to like Adam as well. And Adam did not hear a sound from hitting Delia. I just wish she never left the car ….. so sad. I pray Michael Muhney lands on both feet even bigger and better, or just where he want to be ……
Miss Adam, new Billy is just terrible…. Not believable and down right irritating, too bad. This is not to mention the beginning of this downhill slope….Delia’s passing… this past few months have been incredibly depressing. Tuning out…
I am bummed out that you got rid of Michael (Adam). He was a fabulous Actor ! I loved watching him!!! Y&R isnt as appealing to watch now. Then Billy left the role of Billy and we have this other Billy who is totally not right especially married to Victoria!!! Bummed!!!
I really liked Billy Miller in the role of Billy Abbot, and Michael in the role of Adam. Business is business, but viewership is also business. I’m not sure I’ll continue viewing Y&R. I’ve tried since the two characters have been replaced (Adam — TBD date of return). I have made the decision to focus my attention elsewhere. When Billy and Michael return to the show and there’s a shakeup in the executive office, I’ll consider viewing the show again. Many of my fellow viewers share my sentiment. I wonder where Y&R’s ratings are since the departure of those two great actors.
I liked Billy! Never liked Adam…….of course he wasn’t supposed to be likeable! For me he didn’t have any redeemable qualities.
I have been watching the Y& R since its 1st day. Some characters should not be replaced, they are the show. They could have never replaced Ms Chancellor, John Abbott, Victor Newman, Nikki Newman, Paul and on and on….Their business depends on viewer faithfulness to the shows…I liked the old Billy and Victoria’s fire and desire. Victoria can’t even act as well looking in the face of this little boy that took Billys place.
I agree. I have been watching for 35 years and replacing an actor, especially in a good storyline, makes you not want to watch anymore.
I have been watching Y&R since it first came on T.V. and, don’t get me wrong, I think Billy Miller is a fabulous actor and is more suited for Vicky but I was kinda excited to see the new Billy come back because I remember him way back when He played Billy and to me, he has not changed much at all. I was anxious to see him play on Y&R again and I think the main reason is that way back when he first played Billy, He looked like my Brother (now deceased) and it is nice to look forward to his acting again. As for Michael, I wish they woould bring him back because I was beginning to really like his role as he seemed to have changed for the better. Just my opinion.
The new Billy just doesn’t fit!!!! The new Billy really does looks like Victoria’s little brother. Who wants to see a brother and sister making out…. YUCK, not me!
I don’t like the new Billy with his squinty eyes. The previous Billy was perfect for the part. And don’t replace Adam…..he was fabulous in the show. Doesn’t seem fair….the network wants us to watch their shows then they screw them up by changing the characters and want us to accept it!! I don’t think so. Just like they got rid of Steffy in the Bold and the Beautiful… Disappointed!
I loved Billy & Adam. What a BAD decision to let these guys go. I’m spending my soap opera time watching The Bold & Beautiful in place of the Y & R these days. Hopefully, these guys will show up on another show.
I must say that I cannot get into the story-line of Billy & Victoria now that Miller has left the show…It was hard enough adapting to a new Victoria but at least she has some spark in her attitude and brought a new aspect to the character…The “new” Billy seems bland and blase and rather immature in his portrayal…Also, I really want Phyllis to come back and SOON…She belongs with Jack, not that weird woman played by Cynthia Watros…Also, it is high time that it all came out about Summer being a Newman, not an Abbott, so she can resume her relationship with Kyle…The shows are getting boring and predictable and I am thinking about just not watching at all anymore…Please add some spice!!!!
why is muhney fired?
I read on a site that Muhney was fired for touching Summer’s breast. If this really happened I’m sorry to say Muhney is married with a few children and has a beautiful wife. I also read that Eric (Victor Newman) had something to do with getting him off the show. We all know any gossip sites aren’t always true. I want them to bring Muhney back. I don’t know if they can find a character that will show all his evil mean sides that he showed. it’s like them replacing Victor impossible to replace.
I was so sad to see the characters of Billy & Adam leaving the show. The two actors were my favorite on Y&R. They are two of the finest actors that Y&R had on their show.
The new Billy looks so much younger then the Billy who left the show. David Tom is a fine actor but just not in the role of Billy Abbot. He acts like a little kid.
As for the story line of Jack Abbot and his new love interest it’s boring. Phyllis has been gone long enough and the show has had plenty of time to replace her.
I’m sorry to say the show is just not what it used to be. Please get some excitement going on Y&R..
I totally agree with the above posts. I never liked David Tom the first time around and there is absolutely NO chemistry with Amelia aka Vickie. Billy Miller and Michelle Stafford were my absolute favorites on the show. So far as Adam? I was adjusting, but I still believe that the first actor to play him was better. I’m just SO disappointed with Y&R nowadays. I still watch it, but I have to change the channel frequently ie: Cane and Lily, Devon (the most boring character on the show!) Abby & Tyler…NO chemistry….The only new (or fairly new) characters I like are Chelsea and a regular Chloe, but I suppose since she’s been sent to Fairview we’ll never see her again. I’m just stating my opinion here, but I just don’t like the directions the show is taking. Maybe it’s a money thing, because firing or not re-signing fan favorites is just asking for a drop in the ratings and an ultimate demise of the show.
I find the show really boring and bad now. Losing Billy Miller and Michael Muhney was a big mistake. The show has no good story line now. Even victor is getting boring and he was the main stay for the show for a long time. Too bad but have no interest in the show anymore. Also losing the Phyllis character was bad too although I think that Michelle wanted to go but they should have paid her more and given her some incentives. Phyllis, Billy, and Adam that is what people tuned in for. Too bad, so sad. There is better tv out there for me.
Im so disappointed with the “new” Billy…his personality isnt strong enough and he has no chemistry with Victoria. And losing Michael Muhney is a huge mistake. I have to admit I didnt care for him when he first started in that role, but he grew into exactly who it seemed Adam should be. And his story line was finally going someplace positive with his new baby. What is going on over there? Phyllis, Chloe, and all — and if I have to see Sharon and Nic together one more sickening time. Are there no other women in this town for Nic that he has to keep going back to that milk toast Sharon?? I honestly liked Sharon better when she was going nuts running Newman, etc. Somebody please give her something else to do other than whine and end up in bed with Nic.! LOL! Billy wants to pursue other things while working on show – so let him — what is the big deal? Bring these people back — puuuuuleeeaaze!!!
I HATE the new Billy, I switch the channel as soon as he comes on. AND the show is NOT the same without Adam and Chelsea together. Shame on you for making these changes…..
GOODBYE! Y&R! I haven’t tuned in 3 weeks, and will tune in today to see my ADAM! Delia should not have died, as we had just lost our DUCHESS! Billy Miller you are a gem, and Michael Muhney truly in a class of your own with HONORS! I wish you both much success after this train wreck. Michael I hope you go on to do movies and primetime and when you get your EMMY say thank you to your family, Sharon Case and your friends on the show that supported you rather than talk crap after you left, and lastly to the fans that have supported you throughout and beyond. No mention of the losers of CBS, SONY, and JFP and exit stage left. I’ll miss seeing you on Y&R, but you were the last pill I swallow from that garbage of a show -which I have tolerated since that let VR go but no more! Best wishes to you both!

@Sharonda very well put after having non-stop turmoil dumped on MM I am glad it is over for him and need not to worry he will move on to better things. Going to give this show a long rest if I ever go back not just because of MM but the absolute juvenile and unprofessional behavior of the actors on the show. There is an old song out there that says you say it better when you say nothing at all!
I know right, Patrick. It sucks! But life goes on, and I have subbed Y&R for Days and reruns of Dawson’s Creek and Felicity and other web series on You Tube. I can say I will miss these rare diamonds. But I won’t —nor do I now miss Y&R.

Sadly enough, after watching since day one, I am also saying Fare the well. It was a great ride for the most part, but there have been way to many goodbyes this year. Jeanne of course was the biggest loss and I will always love her for having been so wonderful and so dedicated, may she rest in peace. Michelle Stafford has been a constant favorite of mine since she began. I realize she was ready to move on and I wish her all the best. Genoa city has not been the same though, since her departure. And now, Billy Miller has decided to move on too. I know that wherever he goes, he will have great success because he can offer no less. Michael Muhney. I must say, it took forever for me to like his character, Adam. Of course now, I can’t stand the thought of him leaving. He is a remarkable actor with a lot of character and talent to offer. I wish him continued success as well. Lauren and Michael are really all great together and I love to watch Tracey and Christian. I know there is a great up and coming story to be had for them but it’s time now for me to say goodbye and just read clips here and there. I feel that Y & R is heading downward and I may as well let go of it like all of those who have left before me. It will make it much easier when it does fade out. Thanks to all of those special people who made afternoons so exciting for sooo long. Best of luck to all of you!

I do think the show is headed off the air and so I might as well be the one to leave instead of being the one that is left. I hope to see the better actors resurface; but, please make it prime-time because I am done with Soaps, Daytime Drama, whatever you want to call it.

Michael Muhney took his shit scripts and turned in golden performances. I can’t imagine anyone else being able to turn one of the most deplorable characters into one you want to root for. Adam did horrible things, but he always showed his vulnerable side and everyone wanted him to succeed…especially in bringing his father down!

Yes! You are so spot on about the character of Adam. He did take crappy scripts and make them into the stuff that keeps us watching. I am saddened that the writers took the route of killing him off. Not smart at all.
I’m pretty sure Adam has NOT been killed off. They plan to “retire” the character for a few months and bring him back with a new actor. He will have BIG shoes to fill if that’s the case.
They both will be missed. They were both great actors and good eye candy.
And how Delia left was not good for Billy’s character. Who leaves their child in the car when you dash in a store in this day and age?? Perhaps trash but certainly not someone who loves their child as much as Billy did.

It’s still mind boggling to me that my two favorite actors from Y&R over the last five years are leaving on the exact same day, in the same storyline, even in the same car – the performances of BM and MM over the last week have been nothing short of astounding – especially from MM, who knew he had just been fired, but still gave it his all – I have enjoyed watching these two marvelous actors immensely and am going to miss them, Y&R won’t be the same without them – best of luck to Billy Miller and Michael Muhney – and thanks for the memories!

I would agree with both of you and add Melissa Claire Egan to the list. The most painful part of all of this, is that when it is finally resolved (I still believe that someone else actually hit and killed Delia) it won’t be the same two actors playing the parts. So, it won’t have nearly the same effect. I wish them both the best. They will be missed!
I’ve thought all along that another driver was responsible. Anyone would feel the impact of something striking their vehicle. The scarf could have already been lying on the pavement and attached to Adam’s vehicle. And there could be any number of explanations for the broken tail light. AND….isn’t it curious that the name above Adam’s on the list of matching plate number is “Kelly”? OK, so the last name is different, but who’s to say she doesn’t have a married or maiden name she goes by?

I KNOW that someone else killed Delia. When Paul brought the list of black SUV’s to Kevin I paused the DVR to read it, and guess who’s name was right above Adam Newman? Kelly!!! I don’t remember what her last name was though…Taylor maybe.
I agree and since they have gone so have I teh only way I will come back is if they come back especially MM and it is shown that it was Nikki who drove the car that killed Delia not Adam then we would see how they all react because Adam is so much better then tthe rest of them and MM is the reason Adam is who we all are barricking for.

I have never liked David Tom as Billy and no one made me even like Adam like MM and Adam is who I am a fan of so all teh credit goes to the greta job of MM.

OK c’mon ladies. give the guy a chance. I didn’t like Miller at first when he took over the role and I grew to appreciate him.
I have nothing against Tom David, er, reverse that. No, I always liked this actor.
David Tom Tom is not a negative factor for me. It’s just with the recent departures of the brilliant lights, not to mention being focused on Lily, Devane Abby and all the newbies studying their palm prints in the light with abject fascination, I have become bored. Adam and Billy were the magnets drawing viewers like me in. And I love Peter Bergman as Jack, but the writers aren’t giving him anything but chopped liver.
I would give David Tom a chance (mostly b/c Heather Tom is so awesome and I want to support), but I can’t bring myself to do it. I need to stand in solidarity with all the other Michael Muhney fans. I just cannot believe they let an actor of that caliber go. His final scenees were rivoting. I loved when him and Billy were at the memorial site and he yelled, “THEN WHAT ARE WE DOING HERE?” The way his voice delivered that was just wow.
This is a VERY SAD DAY for many of us!! I have been watching Michael Muhneys final days and his acting ability is OUSTANDING!! He has outdone himself and brought every emotion to the top. It is is finest hour!! How difficult it must have been for him to that., but yet he stepped up to the plate and gave it his ALL!! THe man deservers an EMMY for his performance as does Billy Miller. I am disappointed that these two actors have been left go from Y&R what ever the reasons. I will no longer be watching Y&R after today. The story lines have gone down hill and with all the important actors leaving there is huge wholes now where the once were. I think that Jill Phellps should be let go in her job. She is the queen for killing soaps and she is taking my favorite soap right down to ground.
It is soap opera, but I stopped watching from I was told that Adam was fired. These two men are just two great actors. I like watching Adam and Billy. They are all good though, but I like seeing Adam. Billy, Adam and Phyllis have me anxious to know what next. I guess, I just want to see them all on there, I did not know that soap operas could really break hearts. It sure breaks mine. Sobbing right now.
I am totally in agreement… the Y and R has been hit hard with the losses of Kathryn, Phyllis…and now Billy and Adam… that’s the life of the show…they added humor and excitement… they all made their characters real… totally convincing… I have watched for many many years…and I am afraid these losses will be the beginning of the Y and R going down hill. What a shame… I will miss these dear friends… It truly breaks my heart.

If viewers defect from Y&R, I would hope they consider giving DOOL a chance. Y&R could not give Eileen Davidson any happiness, so DAYS is only glad to take advantage of her talent!
Days of our Lives, the best daytime drama ever!
Look out, Days of our Lives ratings will go through the roof when Kassie (formerly Blair of OLTL) arrives on its shores to play Ava. She has a huge fan base and they will follow her there. I have never seen Days, but having recently given up my thirty year GH habit, not to mention this is my last week of watching Y&R, I will be taking up Days just to see Kassie.
PS. I am sad to give up Y&R with Tristan Rogers about to hop on board but he may not be enough to save the show from terrible writing and mind numbingly dull and vacuous characters.

I will say that watching her on DAYS gave me so much “girrrllll…no she didn’t” type laughter, especially when she ran out of the church and went home , poured a drink and said to herself-“come on we got a think it away that’s what do best,” talking to herself with encouragement. LOVED IT! DAYS is hilarious, reminds me of how Passions started with Little Timmy and the witch before it got stupid and he died.
To each his own, I suppose. I just don’t get Kassie D being a “fan favorite”.

I don’t agree…….to many of these soaps are pushing the Hollywood agenda and ruining good soaps. DOOL is no better either. And now they are ruining GH as well. I can’t believe they would get rid of Adam for a false accusation made by that twit Summer. Billy will not be the same played by Tom and his sister is on B & B. And when is STUPID VICTOR ever going to get what’s coming to him? Everyonee else on Y & R has suffered because of bad choices and VICTOR always gets away with doing whatever horrible thing he wants.
I still watch Y &R but since Dee Dee’s death I have also started watching General Hospital. Love the gay story lines.

Yes 6 months later nothing but B/S if the cast was in harm or Ms. King he would have been kicked off the set last summer. Much ado about nothing and if MM had deep pockets he would sue their butts off! Nothing but a well organized smear campaign but guess who runs the show dragon lady JFP.
Donna, first, Adam and Summer are soap characters and therefore, Michael Muhney can not be fired for anything his character does within the parameters of fiction. Second, let’s focus on the drama we see on the television set, not the alleged drama behind the drama. There’s been far too much speculation and rumor mongering already. That said, Billy and Michael hit it out of the ball park today–brilliant actors, both of them.

IKR. Because I don’t know how many of us knowing that we were fired-would actually show up to work or either do a crappy job, and take stuff from the set home with us to say FU, and yet he was still doing his job. That’s classy unlike some of his cast mates, Mr. Mumbles Victor, KSJ-I didn’t even know he was still on the show and MS, somebody get that stick out of her rear-please!
And it doesn’t seem “right” that they let MM continue working if, in fact, the allegations were that serious. Most corporations would show you the door and not allow you back if that were going on in the real world.

Thank you Mr. Fairman for writing about the storyline , the characters and the 2 very talented actors who play them. I was concerned that recent behind the scenes drama would overshadow the drama we see unfolding on the screen.
I think both Muhney and Miller are giving gut wrenching, heart breaking performances. Both are so good that they transcend the not very good writing they have been afforded. The pacing is sluggish and going on too long–not the actors’ fault. Moreover, it has been made clear to viewers time and time again that Adam could not have been the one who hit Delia. As he repeated the story once again to Billy in which he includes the fact that he got out of the car, saw all was well, felt no impact while in his SUV, and finally, the little chip on his side light is not indicative of having hit a child. What I wish is that they had both Adam and Billy realize that Adam is in fact, innocent. I am sure that will come later with the Adam recast but the sense of vindication will be lost with another actor playing this part as we have watched Michael Muhney struggle with his conscience and with his soul in such an agonizing way. Many of us will not be watching so there will be no sense of vindication for the viewers either.
Also, wanted to point out that the goodbye scene between Adam and Jack were incredible touching and a case of art imitating live. Those two were not acting and one could tell it was Michael telling Peter that he’s a good man who has been a friend and the father that he never had. Both actors had real tears brimming in their eyes–a very touching scene.
In short Michael Muhney’s swan song was pitch perfect as was Billy Miller’s. They will be missed.

Michael Muhney loved the fans. He was one of the most gracious people I’ve ever met at a public function. He loved Y&R. What a loss for the show, but more importantly, what a loss for the audience.
He made Adam Newman a force on the show. I wish him all the best. He’ll be greatly missed.
The three children is what concerns me the actors that have attacked him most of them have children and if they hate him that is one thing but to smear him even worse knowing his children are going to read this is shameful.

Michael Muhney created Adam Newman into one of the best characters on the show based on his own acting abilities. He was thrown horrible storylines, yet he overcame them and connected with the viewers. What else explains the outcry over his firing?
He could have stayed if the situation had been handled properly, but that’s a reflection on the producer and Sony. What a mistake. Muhney was the show’s future.

I agree, 100%. I don’t fault Miller for leaving on his own accord but the character of Billy will not be the same with David Tom, and the recast is happening so soon! It’s not as though Billy will be off screen for a few months, it will only be a few days and then we’ll have a new Billy. Terrible, just terrible.
As for Muhney, he is easily one of the top actors in the entire genre; not just the show, but all of daytime. Adam is one of my favourite characters on Y&R and there is no other actor who can do what Michael Muhney has done with Adam, he’s a phenomenal actor and he will go far. As for the storylines, you’re spot on; some have been horrible, like Melanie (remember her?) claiming Adam raped her… that was horrific and ridiculous on all accounts.
The situation between him and Hunter King, or should I say the unproven allegations towards him, was handled completely wrong. The whole cast got involved and CBS, Sony and JFP did nothing to correct the issue. Shame on them. Muhney and the fans deserve so much better.
Y&R has been so dark lately with Katherine’s death and now Delia’s, it’s turning into General Hospital before Frank and Ron took over. All I can hope is that by New Years 2015, I won’t be as disappointed as I am with the show now.
Does anyone remember after J. Cooper passed away, when they were doing their tributes? There were several male actors on the show, that claimed that J. Cooper, crabbed them, and made comments. She was never fired. So why was M.M???
M.M. has done a tremendous job acting, and deserves to go on, to bigger and better things!
I love the character of Adam. Truly one of the best daytime or otherwise actors out there. The fact remains that he was accused of an unacceptable offense against a woman/girl. It seems to me that no one wants to take this seriously, sweeping it under the carpet. It is the 21st Century, people….men cannot get away with what was once “okay” …..that is, treat a woman less that a person and more like a sexual object.. Where is the respect? I do not know what happened, but if there is a scintilla of truth here, then Michael M. should suffer the consequences, no matter what. He’ll be lucky if no criminal charges will be brought against him. So, what is the consensus here? That Hunter is lying? Maybe, but doubtful….and I’m sure others heard him, otherwise such drastic steps would not have been taken.
No one speaks up…oh, poor Michael. Just because he’s a good actor does not give him license to disrespect women. Hunter is naturally well-endowed…not her fault…what is she to do? I know the feeling, believe me…..it is humiliating and degrading!!!! The same could be said about a well-endowed man. No respectable woman would dare make such a comment. She would be considered a-you-know-what, but a man would be slapped on the back and cheered. Is this not still living with the double standard?
If he did it, why should he be exempt from the backlash? I hope he is innocent , I really do….only time will tell.
Oh, Sammie…I AGREE!!!!! Billy Miller was the BEST Billy Abbott that Y&R ever had!!!!! BM made the role his own!!!!! Same thing with Michael Muhney as Adam Newman. Sammie, I didn’t care for David Tom as Billy Abbott the first time around. And, I am not too enthused about DT coming back to Y&R for a second time. No. I mean…the sound of DT’s voice ALONE annoys me. As for BOTH CBS and Sony, they have proven (more and more) that they don’t give a damn at all about any of us longtime soap fans. The only thing that CBS and Sony care about is letting that VERY DREADFUL Jill Farren Phelps and her untalented, unwatchable and annoying friends run amok on the Y&R set. It just keeps getting worser and worser!!!!!! Very sad.
Will be interesting to see if these two departures affect the ratings. Many high profile actors (ie Shemar Moore) have left this show in the past and it has remained a ratings winner.
Shemar can’t act- IMO, and he’s succeeding doing action type roles where the plot drives the stories not the acting-drama doesn’t suit him.
Sharonda…you make a very good point. I agree. Shemar Moore’s time on Y&R has come and gone. And, besides, SM being on Criminal Minds is a PERFECT FIT for him. Yep.
Whether he can act or not was not the point I was making. He was a fan favorite, as were Miller and Muhney. Jaime Lyn Bauer was a fan favorite, David Hasselhoff was a fan favorite…..the ex-YnR list is a long one, and the show continues to go on…..

If that is the case, he was right all along about the Emmy winners are chosen based on popularity among the voters. I didn’t know this was the Soap Opera Digest awards.
I honestly don’t think he would even consider putting himself up for an Emmy nod…not after the shitty way he’s been treated by TPTB.

I’m really enjoying Y&R these last weeks. I always do but the Delia storyline has been very well done. I will really miss Billy Miller! He has played this role to the hilt. I wish him much success. Michael Muhney USED to be one on my favorite actors. Unfortunately, his fanatical fans have not done him any favors. I also wish him well.
Looking forward to seeing what David Tom can do with the Billy Abbott character. Also anxious to see our new Adam Newman in a few months.

Billy Miller was great, but give David Tom a chance – he was amazing back in the day. I’ve been watching for 20+ years, and DT’s Billy still had my favorite story to date.

Yes they were three of the ones who did the classy thing and did not discuss it. Actually out of this whole storyline AH & MM have done great work and I am not a fan of AH but I am now. She stepped up to the plate off and on screen.
I loved David Tom as Billy when he was on previously. I hate to see Billy Miller go, but it is his choice. I wish him nothing but the best. Cannot wait to see David Tom again. I love Micheal Mulney when he played Adam, but am glad he is away from the all the drama he created.

I won’t be watching Y&R after today. Too many great actors have come and gone this year. The stories have diminished to awful and the dismissal of Michael Muhney and the disregard to Billy Miller have been the final straw for me. I’m watching General Hospital, which is terrific.

I love Y&R..I have been watching this show faithfully since it’s debut in 1973..The writing has been superb, the story lines riveting, but I have to say the Dehlia story line was most disturbing. Not since Cassie’s death has a story bothered me so much. And I have to say that Dehlia’s death tore me to shreds. No parent should ever have to face such a tragedy. With that being said, the two characters of Billy & Adam were each tormented by her death. I absolutely hate to see it all end this way. Two fine actors leaving at the same time. They were two of the most complex and fascinating characters on the show. Absolutely nothing mindless about them. And I think what saddens me most is that I think and I believe that a truth will eventually surface that Adam was not the hit and run driver after all. If that is indeed the case, what a shame for the people they leave behind. And what a loss for their fans!!!! I wish both actors luck and hope we, the fans, see them in shows worthy of them.

I will miss these two actors so much. I hated Adam until Michael took the role. His acting so well that I knew right from wrong yet he found a way to endear him. Now I will miss both these amazing actors!! Good luck guys! Bad move Y&R!!!

I am very disappointed at Y & R letting Michael Muhney and Billy Miller leave ….two of the best actors which they proved in their performances this week! I don’t understand why Y &R has done this….I know Billy left of his own choice but believe if Y & R had offered him a good deal, he would have stayed. I’m thinking about saying “farewell” to Y & R and will wait to see where these fine actors re-appear and will watch those shows!!!! I don’t believe Tom can replace Billy Miller ….and have no idea who will return as Adam in about 6 months….and really don’t care! Would like to hear your thoughts on this situation, Michael, do you believe Y & R will still be one of the top soaps with these fantastic actors gone???? I didn’t care for the way they demonized Adam for what was an accident, they kept saying he killed her, like he had done it on purpose, and some of the lines were a bid over the top and unnecessary, as if the writers were getting their digs in on MM through his character Adam.
But aside from that I found the scenes today, with both Billy and Adam among the best in the show’s recent history. Unfortunately because of all the behind scene drama and rumors I doubt MM will ever win an Emmy for those performances. Yet in the hearts of his fan, he proved his point by acting his butt off while knowing it was his swan song. He could have phoned it in and ruin the scenes of the confrontation to get back at them for firing him, but he no, he gave his Adam a fitting goodbye performance.
I guess what is sad about this is that once they recast Adam they will redeemed the character and most likely find out it wasn’t really his car that hit Delia— that is was Kelly or someone else, like a Mason that did it.
Of course they were just as soap columnists are attacking him he is guilty as far as they are concerned. just remember this B/S started in June of 2013. Just a bunch of vultures picking the bones! He was such a threat we waited 6 months before he was shown the door.

Ok after watching this week’s episodes boy am I glad this is over! I felt like I was getting a root canal three days of non stop same dialogue. We get it as Billy says thru grinding teeth tell me how she died and clueless Adam well Geeze Wally all I saw was a dog. This really is what we pass off as the #1 soap right? Personally I wanted to jump thru the TV and shoot both of them. Gosh love all of you guys that are sticking with this because I for one have had enough and Harry thanks for the compliment I will tell you my husband’s best friend calls me the most sarcastic bitch on the planet! And I agree! Peace out! You guys might need to order some heavy drugs if you consider watching this and calling it even remotely entertainment!

I cannot believe both of the best actors are no longer on the show. I am so sorry, but I do not feel anyone could replace either character. I won’t be watching Y&R after today. The story lines have become boring in the last year. And the turn over of characters has been truly awful. I feel you should have worked something out with Michael (if it is true what is was accused of). I do not feel Michael/Adam can be replaced.I wish Billy and Michael the very best and hope to see them again soon! Also the ending today was terrible.. Today was my last day to watch The Y&R.. With the passing of Jeane Cooper and losing Michelle Stafford, Muhney and Miller one after the other is something this show will take years to recover from. If it recovers at all.
When I get home I will be removing Y&R from my DVR and adding Days of Our Lives. With Eileen Davidson set to return and Kassie DePaiva joining the cast im looking forward to getting to know the show better.

I just started watching this about a month ago, and now I will be way confused. The characters are all new to me, and hopefully the new Billy Abbot will be someone that I can remember. HAHA, after Soapnet went off the air and the re runs of AMC and OLTL can’t be seen anymore, I had to pick some new Soap to watch. I knew that Steve Burton had gone to another soap, and once I found him in Y&R decided to watch. I sure wish there were some synopsis to know some of the story line, it is very hard to start so cold. Anyone with a synopsis?
Joan– this website has a section off on the side of any page call Michael’s Links– click on Soap Central. Soap Central has an excellent history section for each soap. When you get there click on the Y&R tab, and then once in the Y&R page, go to the ABOUT Y&R section— there you can find recaps, history, character history, etc. It is good resource for those just beginning to watch a new soap. I used it to catch up on GH when I started watching last year.

The acting of these two men – Billy M. & Michael M. – has been nothing less than incredible — over the years — and especially since the Delia thing – which should have never happened. Both men deserve an Emmy for their recent work – even though if nominated, they would be competing against each other for Best Actor. Such nuance, such heart, such power! Unfortunately, so many of the other Y&R story lines just don’t come close to the magic and complexity of Billy and Adam’s “dance of death.” It is hard to imagine continuing to watch Y&R, knowing the less-than-transparent circumstances under which Michael was fired. And who wants “Billy” when that character’s not played by Billy Miller. I hope to see both men find other venues in which to display their talent. In all probability, I will not watch Y&R as I’ve done — almost every day for the past five or so years, since Michael came on board as Adam. He was by far my favorite character, with Billy a close second.
the delia story line was horrible – why did they do that to that little girl – and I was ssssooooo pissed when I found out they were pinning it on adam….I wish both actors all the best – amelia and billy were so magical together as a couple….I have loved micheal since he joined y & r – still wanted him and sharon to work out at some point. they will be so missed. 🙁

Not happy at all with the replacement and I am glad I wasn’t a fan for more than a year or else I wouldn’t be able to quit so easily. Ever since I heard about the departure I just watched Millers scenes and skipped the rest. I thought miller was the best in the whole show and he was the reason I stayed to watch the show. Now I find every other story line predictable and I only have watched one year. I will stop watching today as it won’t be the same and will watch wherever Miller goes. He is talented and shouldn’t have trouble going primetime please no more soap operas I can’t take anymore. I hope YR luck since they will need it.

I feel the same way! I have been watching Y & R for 30 years and after Feb 1, 2014 I will NO longer watch. David Thom Poor choice to replace Billy Miller. Michale Muhney will be sadly missed. The character who played Delia wanted to leave so why didn’t they just cast the little girl instead of killing her off- another bad choice. In closing, my opinion- LOVED LOVED Adam *& Chelsea together. Victoria and Billy well I can get used to them not being together- will miss BIlly Miller though. Stitch and Victoria could be a great couple. I think Kelly killed Delia. This Carmine Storyline is getting very boring. I think that Devon and Hilary make a great couple. Avery and Dylan- getting used to – liked her better with Nick. Sharon & Dylan? Like Abby and Tyler together. Now that Ian Ward is in Genoa City – look out Summer and I think that Ian Ward may have Jill held captive? Hmmm maybe a NEW RIVAL for Victor- IAN WARD- Just some thoughts – but oh well who knows cause I don’t really WANT to watch anymore NOW that my two FAV actors are gone.

I haven’t watched either, nor do I read re-caps. But if you need to wean yourself off-that is the way to do it and youtube. But watching Days is much better, and watching reruns of Life Goes On and Sisters is always better than Y&R!
The storyline of a child dying is always heartbreaking but this one has left me COLD! How in the world is it even remotely conceivable for this lame excuse storyline to too have been written just to blame Adam Newman. this was a tragic accident at worst Adam panicked after hearing almost everyone in town from the local police to the local hometown media demanding a lynching for the person who unfortunately ran into a small child at NIGHT on a deserted stretch of a hillside road in a SUV a vehicle that if anyone were driving this vehicle under similar circumstances would more then likely not even notice they hit someone of that height and size under those driving conditions. My problem with Y&R is not only is it a dull slowly paced drama. it has NO creative storylines. The story has brought in over the past several years actors Michael Muhney and Billy Miller and young actors with promise like Max Ehrich and that to be fair has been a plus for the long running daytime drama but aside from the acting the show is just well DULL and the current producers of the show they manage to consistently do something to drive viewers away from Y&R. it’s just another sad day for fans of this daytime drama.
IKR why couldn’t Kevin or Victoria run over Delia? That would have been better as far as plots go. Then I could see why- in his mind- it made sense for him to cheat on Vicki with Kelly.

I absolutely love Billy Miller. I am going to miss him so much. I am thrilled to see him in prime time shows. It doesn’t matter the show, if he’s on, I watch. I am a Young and Restless fan, so I probably will not watch him on another soap, but if he’s on prime-time, I will watch. Although, Tom has played Billy before, it will not be the same.
I can’t imagine anyone else paying Adam, other than Michael. I’m hoping whomever replaces him can do as a great job as Michael. I am so hoping the writers of Y&R redeem Adam. I am hoping the tip they got about Adam’s hit and run, proves to be the person who actually hit Delia. Just a sad story line.

‘Tracker’ Star Justin Hartley Reveals Melissa Roxburgh to Debut as His On-Screen Sister
Justin Hartley took to his Instagram this week, and introduced the latest cast member to his hit freshman drama, Tracker on CBS.
The former Y&R star where he played Adam Newman, now plays Colter Shaw on Tracker and in a few weeks time on the May 5th episode, viewers will be introduced to Colter’s sister, Dory.
Actress Melissa Roxburgh takes on the key role. Roxburgh is most-known for his role in Manifest. She has also appeared on Quantum Leap and Supernatural to name just a few of her other TV credits.

In the episode entitled, “Beyond the Campus Walls”, the CBS series previews, “When a grad student goes missing after a house party, his friends and family believe he buckled under the pressure of his research grant. But, after consulting with his sister Dr. Dory Shaw (Roxburgh)— a professor at the school — Colter discovers a trail of explicit photos and messages that lead him to uncover a dangerous (and deadly) conspiracy on campus.”
Hartley’s post shared, “Colter finally reunites with his little sister Dory in the coming weeks. Join me in welcoming the lovely and talented @MRoxburgh to the @TrackerCBS family!”

The story of Colter Shaw’s family is a throughline throughout Tracker. We know from flashbacks, that Colter, Dory and their brother Russell had a not-conventional upbringing. Their parents Ashton and Mary were professors at Berkeley until something happened to Ashton. When his paranoia gets the best of him he leaves his family, but Russell went after him, and then later on Ashton is found dead, where all indications look like Russell pushed him. Now in 2024, Russell contacted Colter telling him there is something he “needs to know.” However, Colter’s mom, Mary did not want her son engaging with Russell in any conversation and that was back earlier in the season after the second episode.

B&B’s Sean Kanan, Heather Tom and Lawrence Saint-Victor All Had Creative Hand in Sheila’s ‘Ten Toe’ Reveal
Bringing it from the page to the stage is the actor’s job on any theatre, television or motion picture project. In the case of The Bold and the Beautiful, longtime soap MVP, Sean Kanan, has been delivering some powerful performances as Deacon has become increasingly freaked out and obsessed with the fact, that in the crematorium, he saw that “Sheila’s” (Kimberlin Brown) body had ten toes, not nine.
Deacon now believes Sheila might be alive somewhere (given she only has 9 toes), and especially after seeing the communications between Sugar and Sheila on her laptop.
Then, on Monday’s April 15th episode of the CBS daytime drama series, Deacon says to himself (as he pours himself a drink), “Maybe Finn’s right. Maybe I’m losing it.” He flashes back to the crematorium, saying “Sheila had nine toes, but I saw ten on those feet.” He then utters, “Why Sheila? Why did you go to Steffy’s that night? And who the hell is sugar?”

While Kanan has played the only guy in town who thinks something is off here, he was ably assisted by two of his castmates. First, six-time Daytime Emmy-winner, Heather Tom (Katie) directed the episode where it was revealed that the woman’s body in the crematorium had ten toes.
Second, Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter), wrote that ‘ten toe’ reveal episode, and he took to Kanan’s instagram and expressed, “I had a lot of fun writing this episode. (Sean Kanan) killed it!!!!”

Great news! Soap fans are getting the first new daytime drama in 25 years with the news today that CBS has moved Michele Van Jean’s The Gates to a series order.
In addition, the show is set to bow in January 0f 2025, which means that it appears that the new soap will replace The Talk, which was just canceled and will end after its upcoming 15th season in December of 2024. No specific time period, or exact premiere date has been set as of yet.
In the premise of the The Gates it follows lives of a wealthy Black family who live in a luxurious gated community.

The Gates has Val Jean as its writer, showrunner and one of its executive producers. Soap fans know Val Jean’s work best for her work on the writing teams of General Hospital and The Bold and the Beautiful. Taking to X, Michele shared: “It’s go time” citing the news on the show coming to CBS in 2025 via Deadline.
Sheila Ducksworth, Leon Russell, Derrick Johnson and Kimberly Doebereiner will serve as executive producers on The Gates production team. The soap has been in development through a the joint venture between CBS Studios and the NAACP, which was established to help elevate a diverse range of voices and increase the visibility of Black artists.
The series will be produced by the CBS Studios/NAACP venture in partnership with P&G Studios, which is a division of Procter & Gamble, who used to be very big in the soap opera game.
