Tristan Rogers Returns To General Hospital!

The hits keep a-coming from the powers-that-be at GH! Exciting news today is that Tristan Rogers is set for a major return as Robert Scorpio on General Hospital! With November Sweeps upon us, look for the return of Scorpio to have significant importance.
Rogers told Soap Opera Digest, “I am feeling really good right now! My connection to GH and to this character is so strong. I think the fans will see a Robert who is the same, but also different … and there’s a reason for that difference. I was very excited about the story when it was explained to me.”
Look for Tristan to first be seen back on the PC canvas on the Thursday, November 15th episode!
So soapers, what brings Robert back to town? Does he know that Anna is in danger from this “Duke” character? Or, does he know where Robin is being held against her will? So many questions! Let us know your thoughts!

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Serena Sets Her Sights on Michael; Jason’s Emotional Exit from the Mob
This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”
Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.
Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.
Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.
Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Fans near and far attended the weekend held this year at the Burbank Marriott Hotel. Whether it be the main cast event or the smaller more intimate events featuring two or three cast members a great time was had by all.

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80
Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.
PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.

Lets hope Tristán gets a contract. I doubt it though. Valentini is a budget nazi and he uses all his spare money for the One lifers and cheap newbies . Robert will be used for the sweeps robin tease. Cartini will continúe to string naive viewers with the unrealistic
promise of a permanent return of Kim mccollough. We need Long term story for Tristán. Cartini need to concentrate more on Gh legacy characters and stories instead of the new junk theyve concocted like kate/connie and trey.
I totally disagree that FV & RC uses the budget on the crossovers whom have been with GH for near a year now..
And during that year, perhaps you should count ,all the old time favorite vets brought back to GH and also the new characters he has brought on ..
Then see how the budget has spent on vets returning and new characters before pointing to the crosser-overs.
I do not understand the bitterness some have toward FV and RC for bringing talent over from OLwhen they are so minor in compassion to the vets brought back and new characters..
The One lifers are far from minor. Roger Howarth literally eats the show. And iris alderson got a contract by simply calling Valentíni to congratulate him on getting the Gh job. Roger , kris and micheal easton got contracts before finola hughes.
Jerry ver dorn is also on his way.
Also like i sai before he wastes so much money on lackluster actors like Richard steinmetz, Eric Valdez, lindsey Morgan and Kelly Sullivan. They are all horrible.
And I dont buy the vet smoke screen. Kristina Wagner does zip. John York nothing but window dressing. Robin mattson has been turned into a cartoon and now Ian Buchanan’s Duke is another One dimensional villain whose character is being assasinatrd for another repetitious sensational mob plot. Cartini is a terrible regime that bastardizes history for ratings. Never mind intelligent story telling. Smh.

Well he obviously has faith in them, that’s quite clear. But he also has encountered 4 soap regimes in the past 4 years and has voiced his displeasure about 3 of them (Guza/Phelps, MAB and FV/RC; the fourth being Sri Rao on NS2 which he raved about). Moreover, fans have been equally unhappy with his stints on those same three (the last on GH with him missing Robin’s funeral to go after a son that’s not even his! I saw the message boards there, the hate was palpable). I’m not sure what GH has done this time to get into his good graces and convince him to return but I for one find it so odd how a man who has spoken out against these regimes and what soaps are doing today would give them YET ANOTHER chance to probably make him and fans unhappy yet again.
Fool me once, shame on you. But fool me 5 times? Yeesh!
Also, “good the writers are”? Subjective to say the least!
I’m a cynic, I realize that. And have developed a huge bias against GH over the last 10 years. But then, I also have those 10 years to back me up. Plus of course, on point, all those horrible stints Tristan has done in the most recent years.
GH of old were his Glory Days…he just wants to relive them. And I want him to!!
I just hope that CarTini are respectful of him (unlike they are of Duke) and don’t turn him into some psycho killer.
So far Cartini have been completely disrespectful to GH’s glory days. Heather is a Carrión caricature, Anna has been stuck with geriátric luke, Robert has been on screen as much as epiphany or the Qs, felecia is barely window dressing . And now Duke is a a power mad killer. This is not the gh I watched for 4 decades. I too have grown to hate gh over the last decade.
Besides marginalizing and bastardizing the rich history Cartini has filled the show with useless posees like Kate, connie, trey and Christina. I still find myself ffing most of the show like in the Guza era. Smh.

It’s wonderful they’re bringing back familiar faces. But when you have too many eggs in your basket, eggs crack. You can reel some viewers back in just by telling them their favourite will return, but when the lack of airtime or the horrible storyline inevitably befall said favourite, you curse TPTB and wonder why they were ever brought on in the first place. Everyone else will feel this way in a few weeks. We just got there before them ;).
How lucky is Anna Devane right now? Three hot men to choose from? I always thought she had chemistry with John McBain too. Some girls have all the luck =)

.Patrick Jackie Zemen said in an interview in SOD that they said they did not have the money in their budget to bring her back I find that quite amusing since we pay big bucks to OLTL characters go figure. Oh I love it when the “perfect storm” happens to take care of unfinished business, in this case…Robert, Luke, Duke and Anna. Looking forward to great fun, dark corners and drama. I’m really glad GH is bringing back some of the more “mature” characters in a bigger way, including Monica, Tracy, and even Heather. Their talent shines through, and I’m sure the newer, younger actors have things to learn from them.
FINALLY!!!! Welcome Back Tristan Rogers! I’ve been hoping for month’s that you would be brought back to GH. I never missed any of the storylines during the time you where on. Those storylines with you interacting with Luke and Laura, Sean and Tiffany and most importantly the fantastic WSB , Frisco Jones, and your beloved Robin and the love of your life Anna DeVane. You are the man to get to the bottom of whatever sleazy motives this Duke imposter has. Also, you will be the one to find Robin! They have to keep you on for a long, long time because, hopefully, if we get Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) to come back I’m sure Robert Scorpio will be the one to bring him home to Sam and Danny. I also think besides working so well with Anna at the PCPD, he will work great with Dante and John Mc Bain. Look out Bad Guys, there’s a New Possie in the House!!!!

I must say (even though I detest Duke for what he did to Jason) Duke sure looked unusually sexy & gorgeous today. He did not look so great on DAYS recently. He looked way younger today or something. Anway, CANNOT believe all the awful things he has done-will he get away with it like Jerry always does?
THIS is a reason to go back to GH. I was so disappointed in how FV sent Robert away and gave us a convoluted and goofy reason why. Big fail there, RC. But they might just redeem themselves by bringing us our soap god, Tristan Rogers. Robert Scorpio makes PC a better place.

The Robin/K-Mac death story was essentially “in the can” when Cartini arrived. In fact, it was Frank that convinced K-Mac to do the short stints we’ve already seen.. They will work around her schedule-and hopefully Tristan’s stint is the beginning of Robin’s resolution.
^ Troy is right, but they were in charge of Robert’s arrival and his contributions then. RC wrote him off in that uncharacteristic, pathetic way before his daughter’s funeral. TR was quoted as saying he would have stayed a little longer. It was so badly handled! They should be ashamed of themselves. They aren’t, but they should!
Here’s hoping he’s back for a long haul this time. And let Robert be the one who rescues Robin. It would redeem greatly his not being at the funeral and it would help Robert feel he didn’t fail his daughter. That morgue scene and the bridge after showed how Robert was in pain feeling he failed his little girl. By being the one to bring her home would not only bring joy to her family having her back but lift the guilt off his back he mistakenly put there.
ok Now Cartini has a chance to right the wrong of Luke with Anna.. I am so happy that Robert will return,and I want him to stay. .Duke also gets a by .he put the death bullet in Jason.Zombie is dead hooray. Could he also please take out Sonny. If not Duke let it be AJ he deserves some revenge. he did nothing to Sonny,and Sonny stole his child. But now Michael is such a useless piece who cares if he ever remembers just how much AJ sacrificed to get his son back.Michael doesn’t have a clue what AJ went through to get his son away from the mob. Love Tristan Rogers as Robert Scorpio. So glad he is coming back. Just finished watching all of his storyline on youtube from the time he arrived in Port Charles in 1980 until he left in 1992. The way he was written after finding out about Robin’s death was terrible. Robert would never have acted that way. He would never have let Anna go throgh that alone. Even when he was with Holly and Katherine he always was there for Anna and Robin. That’s what upset Holly and Katherine. By the way I loved the story line with Katherine. I think Robert and Katherine had major chemistry together. However, right after Katherine left Robert went right back to Anna. I hope the writers let Tristan Rogers be the old Robert Scorpio he was before he left in 1992. I’m looking forward to Robert, Anna and Luke working together to find out the truth about Duke and to bring Robin home.
Right where he belongs! Tristan Rogers brings all his magic back to GH. How great to see the characters of Robert and Anna back with that old ease and chemistry. Now, that’s a GH storyline we have longed for.
Now we need Genie Francis to complete the GH canvas. Wouldn’t Laura love to be a surrogate for Lulu and Dante? What a storyline that would be for the 50th anniversary and to complete the Spencer circle!
