This is good news for fans of the Daytime Emmy Award winning actress who has been a fan favorite the role of Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor’s (Eric Braeden) daughter, Victoria Newman.
As for Amelia’s Twitter account, it is our understanding that at present time the actress has decided to take it down.
So, let’s all take a deep breath! Excited to hear Amelia is staying put as of now at Y&R? Comment below!
Beyond the Gates
‘Beyond the Gates’ Star Mike Manning Lands Role in Indie Horror Feature ‘Deify’

While Smitty tries to hold the fort down in his marriage to congressman Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) and their two teenaged children, Samantha (Najah Jackson) and Tyrell (Jaden Lucas Miller) on Beyond the Gates, Emmy-winner Mike Manning has also landed another feature film role.
According to Deadline, Manning has joined the cast of Deify with 6 other new cast members for the indie psychological horror film starring Neal McDonough and Skeet Ulrich, which was previously announced last week.
Joining Manning as the latest cast addition are: Dennis Haysbert, Ashley Greene, Casey Harnett, Kirk Avecdo, Anji White, anf Nicholas Chimera who’s directing the pic also has a part in the film.
WHAT’S THE STORY OF DEIFY?
Taking to his Instagram with the news of his casting, Manning shared, “A movie about a cult? What could possibly go wrong? Come for the enlightenment. Stay because they won’t let you leave. DEIFY is coming…”
The movie is currently shooting in Chicago and in story, “a cult leader is put on trial after causing his devoted followers to be burned alive. The film is inspired in part by events surrounding the 1993 Waco, Texas, standoff between members of the Branch Davidians church and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, one of the largest civilian firefights ever recorded on American soil.”
MIKE MANNING IS A DAYTIME EMMY NOMINEE
In addition, the multi-talented Manning is a producer on the feature. Previously, Mike was nominated last month in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for the upcoming 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards. He previously won an Emmy for his role on The Bay and for being a producer on the digital drama.
Mike’s previous credits include the role of Charlie Dale on Days of Our Lives and the Manny on This Is Us, plus various primetime and screen credits.
So intrigued to find what role Mike will play in the upcoming horror/cult film, Deify? Enjoying him as Smitty on Beyond the Gates? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
General Hospital
GH and OLTL Alum Patrick J. Gibbons Reveals the Story Behind Writing Trina’s Song on ‘General Hospital’ (Exclusive)

At the conclusion of today’s August 21 episode of General Hospital, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) sings a lullaby to baby Dez, that went into a montage to close out the episode as her father Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) reports to Pentonville and winds up in his jail cell.
However, in a fun fact, the song entitled, “A Lonely Heart To Give” was actually written by none other than former One Life to Live and General Hospital actor, Patrick J. Gibbons.
Daytime fans first met Gibbons as Sam Manning on One Life to Live. At the time, when he started on the soap, he was just 5-years-old. Gibbons played the part from 2010-2013 on ABC and Prospect Park’s editions of the show. Fast-forward to 2018, Gibbons shows up on General Hospital as Wyatt Hoover, the scout who seemed always be injured, but in the thick of the drama. Patrick had appeared on GH multiple times as Wyatt including: 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023.

FROM HIS GRANDMOTHER’S DEATH CAME THE INSPIRATION FOR HIS SONG
Now in 2026, General Hospital fans are getting to learn about another side of Gibbons’ talent as a songwriter and guitar player after “A Lonely Heart to Give” debuted today! Michael Fairman TV caught up with Patrick, who is now a senior at Penn State entering his final year as a finance major, to get the back-story of how his song wound up on GH!
Gibbons explained he wrote the song in honor of his grandmother who passed away a few years ago with whom he was, very, very close with. “Randomly, my grandmother had a downfall and passed away during the second semester of my sophomore year. I was in my dorm a lot and I was just playing with my guitar. And at the time, I was really into finger-style playing. I wrote the lyric and music to it (with a little help from my guitar teacher Lou), and my mom showed the rough demo to Frank Valentini (EP, General Hospital). He’s like an uncle to me. Frank loved it so much he said, “Finish that up. I want to hear the whole thing, and I want it on the show.”
MAKING MUSIC FOR GENERAL HOSPITAL
Gibbons and his parents took the next steps! “So now, all we needed was a female voice, because I thought that would fit the song well,” Patrick shared. “At the golf club we go to my parents were at a dinner. They liked the singer that was performing and spoke to her about the song, and she says she would like to bring it to her ‘boss’ who ended up being Eric Bazilian of the Hooters fame!” (Bazilian also wrote the smash hit song “One of Us” for Joan Osborne).
Next, “We went in the studio and recorded it and the song came together and it was beautiful. We loved it. They loved it at General Hospital and now they’re putting it the show and they are coming in with a piano, instead of a guitar. Paul Glass, the GH musical director, has been keeping us updated over the last six months of how it was coming along, and when it would air, and how GH put their own arrangement to it. I can’t wait to see and hear what they did with it.”

PATRICK’S ONE LIFE TO LIVE FAMILY
Everyone knows that the One Life to Live extended family share a very tight bond, and Patrick said he does stay in touch with a few of his former One Life to Live co-stars, especially those from the Manning family! “I stayed in touch with Kassie DePaiva (ex-Blair) and sent her little videos here and there. She was like my second mom for five years. We keep in contact with Kristen Alderson (ex-Starr) over X the most, and she can’t believe how big I’ve gotten. Like, none of them can! (laughs). I also loved working with Roger Howarth (ex-Todd) and Trevor St. John (ex-Todd and Victor Jr.), and to me since I was so young, they were just my friends, ‘Roger and Trevor,’ not Todd Manning or Victor Jr.”
It was a trip to California and a visit to Port Charles that ultimately led to Gibbons second soap role of Wyatt Hoover. Patrick explains, “In 2016, Frank Valentini invited us out to Los Angeles to visit the set of General Hospital. I think he heard me say, ‘This is so much fun. I miss being on the set.’ He goes, ‘You should come out. I’ll bring you on the show. We can make you a character.'”
A few years later, Patrick’s dream became a reality! “Then, by the summer of 2018, I was playing Wyatt, the scout, and shared scenes with Wes Ramsey (Peter August), and the best was when I shared a scene with Roger Howarth and Michael Easton (ex-John, OLTL and ex-Silas, Finn et al, GH), it was like chemistry from the old days.”

IT’S ALL IN THE NUMBERS
As to his future aspirations, it’s a career in the finance game that has piqued Gibbons’ real-life interest. But never say never to a return to acting. Patrick explained, “I’ve always enjoyed numbers. And on top of that, one of the biggest parts of finance is being personable and outgoing.”
He continued, “That’s one of the greatest skills I developed growing up. I really love the markets. I’m super interested. I’m never going to close the door to acting. I’m always open to that because I just love it so much. It’s such a great art.”
Take note! If there are any investment bankers or private equity folks among the GH faithful looking for a young analyst next year, Patrick’s DMs are open. You can find him on X at @PatrickJGibbons.”
So, what did you think of the song sung by Trina on today’s GH that was written by Patrick J. Gibbons? Did you enjoy Patrick’s performances as One Life’s Sam and GH’s Wyatt? Would you like to see him back on GH at some point? Let us know via the comment section.
Guiding Light
‘Guiding Light’s’ Grant Aleksander Shares Heartfelt Remembrance of TV Daughter, Hayden Panettiere On What Would Have Been Her 37th Birthday

The tragic death of Hayden Panettiere last Sunday on August 21 continues to rock the entertainment world as her passing is still under investigation. Sadly, the former Guiding Light and Nashville star, died just days before her 37th birthday.
Now Grant Aleksander who played her on-screen father, Phillip Spaulding on Guiding Light a role he played on and off for nearly 30 years, shared a touching tribute with The Locher Room via Instagram, to his former TV daughter on her birthday on Friday, August 21.
It was back in 1996-2000 that Panettiere played the role of Phillip and Beth’s (Beth Chamberlin) daughter, Lizzie Spaulding. When Hayden was on-screen her performances were outstanding even as a little girl.

Photo: CBS
Aleksander began, When I think of Hayden the first image that comes is of her running down the hall in the studio with a huge, toothy grin on her face. Literally bursting with joy. And that’s what she gave to us. Pure, infectious joy. That and a talent that belied her years.”
“She was a natural with an instinctive understanding of acting that most adult actors can only dream of possessing. But that’s not what I’ll remember most about her. It’s that sunshine she brought to all of us that were lucky enough to be in her orbit that will stay with me, expressed Grant.
He concluded with, “I’ll always cherish the years I got to be her tv Dad. I wish I could have seen her one more time just to tell her how proud I was of her. She’s left us way too soon. We can only hope that she’s finally found the peace that eluded her in her short life. Rest in peace Princess!”
Michael Fairman TV previously shared emotional tributes from many of Hayden’s co-stars here, plus Jonathan Jackson (ex-Lucky, GH and ex-Avery, Nashville) who wrote a beautiful tribute to his former co-star.
So, do you remember the scenes between a young Lizzie and Phillip on Guiding Light? What did you think of Grant Aleksander’s words? Let us know via the comment section below. Here’s just a sampling below, of how great Hayden was with her scene partner, Grant.

Yeah! Glad that Amelia is staying. I really like her and she is very important to the core family.
Totally agree!!
I heard that she’s taking time away because her sister passed away. I am totally relieved that she’s staying!!!!!
I am very happy she is staying it wouldn’t be the same without her. She is great actress.
Glad to hear she is not leaving the show~
The character should be recast with Tamara Braun. I hate Amelia Heinle’s interpretation of the role. She has made a once vibrant and spunky character totally sedate and lacking in charisma. Heather Tom is still Victoria to me and Tamara Braun would be a worthy return to form.
they are not going to fire Amelia . although everyone is replaceable at their job, even you lol
Couldn’t agree more. I’ve never cared for Amelia’s Victoria. The only time she was interesting was when she played with Billy Miller.
Another site is saying her sister died. She was off set for a time, and that’s what sparked the rumors. Not sure if THAT’S true either…
Sorry…sister-in-law died.
I love Tamara Braun. She brought such a sensitive side to GH’s Carly.
I agree on Amelia’s Victoria-never clicked with me.
aww dammit!
the depressing sad-sac mopy big snore should leave, really ..
But su, she had to stay…glad Sharon is around too…had these two left you might have had something positive to say about Y&R…lol
hey jimh!
yes, oh yes! how wonderful that would be 🙂
and– I do say nice things about Y&R, I even watch it lol
But- truth is- this year has been as horrible a Sharon to watch LOL ..
Soon as Pratt’s writing get on screen I believe I will enjoy Y&R, again..
He will kill off some and blow up others!!
Its going to be a good 2015! 🙂
Ha! Sue and Jim, you are both cracking me up big time.
Always spreading sunshine, Su!
Marky!!
Ohhh I do do that, don’t I ,, lol
Ain’t no sunshine when (Su) she’s gone
It’s not warm when she’s away ,,,,,,, and on it goes
naww just telling it as it is 😉 Victoria is a snore.. lol
Aww, Mark. You need to get to the core of what makes our su0000 tick….LOL. If you can do that, you’ll find that she truly does spread sunshine. Don’t you su? I love it!….. My day starts with a smile after reading her oh, so lively messages…LOL….I guess you haven’t read my posts on Sam or Sonny(GH)…..nor Shay’s on Sabrina. Compared to my comments, Su’s are tame.LOL. . All in good fun, Mark….later.
I think Victoria has been perkier and smiley-faced
since her life has settled down happily with little Katie
and her apparent happiness with Ben (although I think
she really still loves Billy).
And with other female characters being a bit too loud
or in your face, Victoria’s basic mellowness can be
refreshing, in my opinion.
If ur going to critisize, at least try to spell correctly! Makes it easier to understand u.
criticize
Well, Eileen…it is YOU’RE not UR…..and YOU, not U…..just saying. Later and LOL.
Oh, I am wondering….to whom are you referring? Most of us do not re-read our posts before sending. Ergo, the typos. Shall we take you to task next time you make one?
Now Cee Cee, you are making me roar with ribald laughter. Sometimes the comic section here provided much needed comic therapy.
THANK. YOU.
I do believe Ashley shares your sentiments, Su. Now, tell me. Is Ashley being such a mean girl to Victoria out of jealousy?….or, is she really concerned over the fact that Victoria’s intentions to steal the formula are indeed fraudulent?
Victoria has been a thorn in Ashley’s side ever since she was a little girl. And when she came back from boarding school, the little bitch did everything in her powerful to destroy Ashley’s marriage to Victor. And she succeeded.
well, CeeCee,,
Ashley is being mean to Victoria because I asked her to take Victoria down, in tweeter,,
It most likely is because of me .. lol!
Victoria will not steal the formula.. all she does is mope around her house carrying her baby from the couch to the basket thingy.. so, no problem..
Victoria does nothing, absolutely nothing of interest, so dont expect too much from her… 😉
Sue, have you noticed that Johnny, the baby Chelsey gave to Billy (who fathered him) and Victoria has become MIA? No one even mentions poor Johnny,
All they do is talk about little Kate. Poor Johnny!
This is GREAT news! I am delighted that it was just a rumor and Amelia isn’t leaving YR!
I will miss her. She’s wonderful as Victoria Newman and brings a great deal to that character and the show.
Sometimes if you don’t have something good to say, it’s best not to say anything…
I like her and am glad she is staying. I like her so much better than Heather Tom.
good ,I don’t always like viki ,but I like ameila ,I was looking forward in seeing how viki was with gabe ,when she didn’t know he was adam ,and wasn’t afraid of sharing him with daddy,
OH
these headlines… just give me a start
jump!
Ms. Heinle : I’m so glad you are where you’re at :
I love Victoria… you emmied for a reason…. “this is YOUR Time”
it’s not her fault… the actress
is saddled with SO much DULL : Victor, Nikki, and Nikolas
I said wait to see if true or not before we comment…
Well, Jim, I tried but I suffer from impulse control issues. I am the one who often says,”Did I say that aloud?”
So happy to hear this! I love AH and her rendition of Victoria Newman. She is a top notch actress and my favorite Victoria. I didn’t care for Heather Tom as Vikki… I do like her as Katie, though, on Bold and Beautiful.
i love Amelia Heinle as Victoria please come back soon
I know her sister has cancer. I hope she hasn’t taken a turn for the worse. I love Amelia. Hope she plays Victoria for many years to come.
Yay!!!! Though I never had any doubt, with how much story she’s had lately and the fact she just won an Emmy, and let’s face it a contender for this year’s Emmys with her scenes when she have birth to Katie, who would think she would really be out? Sure she has a few vocal haters but she stays on the top of the polls regularly and is a part of two very popular couples: Villy and Sticky! Can’t wait to see what’s up next for one of my favorite characters and so glad the rumor about Amelia leaving is being put to rest right away.
Oh, gosh
“thank the heavens, she has her own fan vocal appreciation”
pelt me with pain
should clarify…. pelt me with pain
was a gesture aimed at naysayers of… Amelia Heinle
I adore her
I don’t watch Y&R. However, this “news” was… Much Ado About Nothing.
Well obviously it was “Much Ado About Nothing” to you, Jeremy. You don’t watch Y&R!
That’s right, as I stated…I don’t watch Y&R. Yet, I was hoping she’d jump ship and come to GH!
Sarcasm at its best. Harry.
So CBS reassures fans Amelia is not going anywhere but for months have made no comment about all the rumors surrounding Christian LeBlanc being fired.
They won’t comment on Christian because his storyline has his character in jeopardy. If they say he’s leaving, it conceivably “spoils” his storyline. They will respond to rumors about Amelia because they came out of left field and aren’t storyline-related.
I will take a deep breath and exhale forth my disappointment.
I haven’t been this disappointed since I opened up my Secret Santa gift which was beautifully wrapped up in a Tiffany Box only to discover a Homer Simpson Chia Pet Head inside.
Marge?
OH, MY GOD!!!! What am I going to do with you, Harry? I have a stitch on my side from laughter!!
Not surprising another YR actor has quit Twitter. A lot of verbal abusive comments were so upsetting for Joshua Morrow in 2014 he simply quit interacting with fans of the show and now mainly comments to other actors or about sports. Good decision as no one, especially not these hard working actors, need verbal abuse for their characters actions or plots. Perhaps the same is true for Amelia. I will always respect her for her being able to follow in Heather Tom’s shoes and making the character her own. I do not compare actors when they replace another. It is their own unique skills that can then re-create the role. I’m always amazed when attending the charity events they do, how very grateful they are to supportive fans. After all, their efforts are done in a very isolated studio at CBS. No fans there usually. So, personally am very glad Amelia is not leaving.
You’re so right! These are living breathing people with feelings, not characters from a show. I made the mistake once of saying something derogatory about an actress. She saw it and I was mortified at what I had done.
I just want to clarify–I think Amelia is beautiful and talented–I just never saw her as Victoria Newman.
She seems more like an artist than a business woman.
Hey, Jonboy. I do appreciate your concern and your diplomacy. However, it is , in fact, the characters we discuss on these sites, not the actors/actresses.
Yes, they are people, but said people are in the public eye, thus they become vulnerable to gossip, snide remarks and such. This position comes with a lot of baggage. They chose this so-called profession…rude comments are part of the territory. So, I, personally, have no qualms discussing the roles these thespians play….negatively or positively. ‘Tis my duty….LOL. Just saying. Later.
Has nothing to do with diplomacy and everything to do with basic courtesy and respect. Trash a character and their antics all you want but when you begin debasing another person for their appearance or any other reason you are a fairly lousy excuse for a human being.
Totally agree…100 percent…with you jon boy. Had a very, way more heated debate about this very topic on a GH post.
Amelia does a fine job playing Victoria.
Agreed!! Amelia is the best Victoria I’ve seen!!
Bring back HEATHER TOM! She will always be the REAL Victoria Newman. Nothing against AH, but ironically, she would be better suited to a character like Katie Logan.
i agree..ms tom will always be Victoria
Thank God! I was seriously worried because it wouldn’t be completely out of fashion for Y&R to get rid of yet another amazing actor on their show. Michelle Stafford, Billy Miller, Michael Muhney, Elizabeth Hendrickson… to name a few that have departed in recent years… The last thing Y&R needs is to use another talented veteran cast member. What Pratt should focus on doing is rebuilding Y&R by bringing back legacy characters with ties to the canvas, not getting rid of ones they have and their talented portrayers.
Now, I just hope Christian LeBlanc doesn’t get the axe, and Michael will be able to fight off the cancer. Michael is a legacy character that has been part of the show for more than 2 decades. Christian LeBlanc is a very talented actor who doesn’t deserve to be axed for a story. If they really wanted to do a story about a character dying from cancer, I’d be just fine with it being Lily. She has very little purpose on the show now, no real story for months, and IMO she’s not nearly as important as Michael.
I have to agree with everything you said with the exception of two things. 1st. If they have to kill someone off PLEASE let it be Summer. 2nd. Elizabeth Hendrickson really? I always thought she thought of herself better than anyone else on the show, but I would rather watch an hour long show with her & her maid mother Ester that 5 minutes of Summer with all her issues.
amen, Nikki.
everybody rallies around tired overblown summer
Summer has no purpose since her mother came out of the coma and her DNA has finally become a closed issue.
First, it was,’ I can’t believe Kyle is my brother when I was crushing on him’ which was replaced by ‘I can’t believe Kyle isn’t my brother. Then it was,’I can’t believe Nicholas isn’t my dad replaced by ‘I can’t believe Jack is my dad’ which was replaced by’ I can’t believe Nicholas was my dad all along and Jack is not.” All the while she would interject her DNA musings by saying,”I miss my mom–she’s in a coma.” Now all of the aforementioned has been resolved so poor Summer doesn’t know what to with herself.
No wonder she’s going back to college as an undeclared major. Now her thought process will be ‘I can’t believe I am an undeclared major.’
Maid mother! Hilarious. Love it
Summer makes me think of a opportunist. Where there’s a camera you’ll find her mug.
LOL! Amen to that!
I love Michael/Christian. When I see his familiar face, I feel warm and fuzzy. Y&R will not be the same without him….as you have listed, it hasn’t been, since all the other actors/actresses have left….now, another big chunk of Y&R’s fabric will possibly be eradicated.
I, too, hope Michael conquers this thing and remain part of the Y&R family.
I am always left somewhat nonplussed when the first thing that pop’s into a guy’s head is his sexuality. Michael only seems to fixate on his manly prowess…his performance in bed more than his health.
I guess women are definitely different. Personally, it would not be the uppermost thought in my head…..and I’m in my twenties…..Ahhhh, you guys !!!!!…..LOL. later.
I love Michael as well as the cancer story behind Lauren & Michael but I read that the one leaving is Jill. That would make sense because G.C. is always looking for a lawyer but Jill has not had much of a story line since that horrid music box. I also think either Phyllis or Kelly will have to go. I can’t see them getting rid of Phyllis so I think either Kelly leaves on her own or Phyllis kills her. Remember Phyllis tried run down Christine & Paul? J.M.O.
OH SNAP!!! MF, you dashed my hopes of a Victoria Newman recast. Darn it !!!!
I’m sorry, just not a fan of hers. She’s boring, has no excitement about her.
I agreed until she and Billy (Billy Miller) got together. Then I liked her. Now that BM is gone, her character isn’t as fun. Still like Amelia, but don’t like her with Ben. Not that being with the current incarnation of Billy would do her many favors either. Casting person at Y&R needs help.
Great news!
Great news. I’m so happy she’s going to stay. Love her acting and love her with Stitch. I wish they would bring back J.T. (her real life husband) as well.
Good news. I’m not crazy nuts about the actress either (Heather Thom will forever be Victoria) but i don’t want any more recasts.
I wouldnt miss her. Doesnt mean I dont like her. When Billy Miller left, Victoria as I knew her died. I would recast someone better equipped to act next to Burgess. Tamara Braun is a great actress but would look too young next to Burgess.
Hi, Timmm,
Anyone would look too young next to Burgess. Ugh!! He just has an old-looking, nondescript, white-washed face. However, he is about the same age as Tamara. On the other hand, Melissa Claire Egan is ten years younger than either of them….he looks old enough to be her father; just as Peter/Jack, who is, indeed, old enough to be Gina’s/Phyllis’s father. Later.
CeeCee, I’m with you on Burgess BUT it doesnt seem like he is going anywhere so you have to figure out who he looks and fits with. I discount the ages because we would all go bonkers with that. For instance, Summer, she is still a little kid who is portrayed as an adult, meanwhile I bet she cannot even put a straw in her juice box! Once Nick and Sharon are done fighting over Faith, next thing you know she is working at the Underground! Its crazy. But anyway, back to “Billy”, I see him best with Chelsea but you know she will eventually be with Adam so if I were Y&R and would bring back Maureen, face the music and then have her and Billy fall in love! Ewww, I know but think about it, side by side they kind of look like a couple. See ya!
Good for you, Mo. I missed the misspelled word, ‘criticize’….what sweet irony!
You know what, Timmm? Billy and Maureen do fit….they even look alike. Why didn’t I see that before? LOL. later.
I believe their is a death in the family why don’t we let the woman have her privacy!
Still don’t trust JFP and soap killer Pratt!
I’m happy that Amelia and Victoria are not going anywhere. I didn’t see it plausible to get rid of either of them.
Sorry for your loss .I hope you can get this worked out.Family is the most important thing.
Her sister-in-law or sister died. She’s going to help with the two children left motherless and to grieve…
So glad Amelia is staying ! I love her as Victoria Newman!
She should be RECAST as the Victoria character needs to age.
She is no longer a spring chicken in her 30’s. She should be in her 50’s.
She was a cougar to Billy who should be at least 10 years older than him.
I don’t think Victoria is a boring character at all. And by the way, Amelia is my only Victoria. I did not watch during the HT’s tenure. Victoria is a necessary kind of character on a soap because she’s normal. There are over-the-top, melodramatic characters – Victor, Nikki, Phyllis, Jill, Kelly to name a few. Then there are normal characters like Victoria, Paul, Michael. They can’t all be mumbling, billionaire egomaniacs and ex-stripper, alcoholic socialites. And I’m very happy with Burgess. The character of Billy was morphing from the hard-drinking playboy with the Cheshire cat smile. Billy was beginning to grow up, especially with Delia’s death. Billy is now a kinder, gentler Billy but he’s not boring. Love reading Leave it to Beaver Jim, Su, Cee Cee and many others of you!
Well, Mark. I appreciate your post. I love your writing….you have a very calm, descriptive way of explaining your view.
But, Victoria is not so ‘normal’. There have been moments where I did question her normalcy…..to name one….her mother, Nikki, slept with her own son-in-law, Cole; Victoria’s husband.
It is NOT normal to carry on and befriend her mother again. Perhaps this character is more forgiving than most daughters, but I could have never looked my mother in the eye again. THAT is not normal.
Now, Nikki is made out to look like a martyr; I am tired of her damsel-in-distress syndrome (into her sixties), but I’d rather have a complex character than not….that’s the stuff of which soaps are made. Later.
And you gotta’ love ’email, right Cee Cee?
Cee Cee, I could not agree with you more when it comes to Niki.
I just want to tell her, “Speak up woman!” You’re not the Horse Whisperer for Heaven’s sake! Do answering machines hang up on her? Here is what I imagine— Paul–“Hi, you’ve reached Paul. Please leave a message and I will get right back to you. Thank you, and have a nice day!” Nikki (whispering) “Hello, Paul. It’s me. You said to call me when I needed a friend and I need a fr—-BEEP!”
And if I have to look at her stare with longing one more time at that crystal pitcher full of vodka, I am going to need a drink myself. Why would an alcoholic have a cocktail table always set up in the living area when she is not having a party? In fact, have you ever been to anyone’s home were there is always a table set in the living room up with a line up of liquor, soda water, cut limes/lemons, olives, ice and an array of cocktail glasses? Nope, you see only see the aforementioned on soaps or old movies from the thirties starring William Powell and Carole Lombard who are constantly dressed in black tie and evening gowns.
Hey, Harry.
You are the one who keeps us in stitches. You have a naturally sardonic and wry humor. I actually devour your posts.
Thus, while on the subject; does it bother you when these protagonists bungle their grammar? The most common grammatical error (it’s a fallacy since all of them make this mistake) is …’between’ she and I. The correct grammar is…’between her and me’. Why? You know, Harry….object of the preposition. It bothers me to no end.
Cee Cee, you must be an English teacher. You have a very good eye. Yes, it bothers me but I do not say anything because as soon as I do, I make an even worser, er, worse, error myself. You never make a careless mistake/typo.
What bothers me the most is when someone is trying to be all proper and think using “I” or “whom” is always proper no matter what. All they have to do is figure out who or what the subject is and the rest follows accordingly. The other day someone knocked on Nikki’s door and she whispered,”Whom is it?” Do not ask for whom the bell tolls, Nikki, it tolls for thee.
But as Winston Churchill once said, “A preposition is something with which I will not put.”
Harry,
I think that Summer should add something else to her, um, thought process…
Summer: “I can’t believe that I’m a whiny, spoiled, annoying brat…but I am!!!!!”
Have a good one, Harry. Peace.
okay, Amelia’s not leaving ;however, what’s happened to the characters of Tyler and his sister ? See, it’s been so long that I can’t remember her name!
People would you please in everything you hold dear to you stop this attack on this actress I just got word a friend of mine is dying of brain cancer can you not for just one minute stop the attacks on this actress and leave her alone for gods sake to grieve for her family or are you such vipers that you can’t back off? You really make me feel ashamed for you do you not have any class or respect! Or is your heartstrings filled with such venom that you do not care. She is an actress playing a role please back off it is beyond reason and this is comin from someone who had not been a big fan of her portrayal of Victoria Newman. But please back off you disgust me with your vile comments,
Sorry about your friend but what does that have to do with Amelia and why would she be grieving ? I’m confused.
She lost her sister i law to cancer on Dec 31st I just wanted everyone to back off for a while and give the woman some peace! I guess it was too much to ask for the bleeding vultures
Please just get Billy Miller back. The chemistry with Amelia is like no others on the show. I can even adjust to the new Adam but Billy needs to be Billy Miller.
K/K, oh I had no idea, that’s terrible, so sorry for her, but the way you worded your post it sounded like it was a friend of yours that died, and I couldn’t make the connection. Thank you for clearing that up.
