Van Hansis in new video by the Elbow Room Society – Watch it below!

© JPI Studios

Van Hansis (Luke, ATWT) is the featured performer in a new video out this weekend from the Elbow Room Society titled: Club Car Ambush! Soap fans will get a huge kick out of it as Van is reading a copy of Soap Opera Weekly in the video vignette, and a passenger in his subway car recognizes him from the magazine!  And, what follows is very intriguing to say the least.

The Elbow Room Society states as creative mission: “Creates eclectic entertainment that nourishes, provokes and awakens while secretly saving the world from doom and destruction.”    Watch the video with Van, Club Car Ambush after the jump!

I love the clip. Van is just totally adorable in it. I don’t really get the meaning behind it but well, as long as Van is cute in it xD.

By the way, I would be thrilled if you could let people know about Jake Silbermann’s STUFFER project too. He has released some amazing stills and a behind the scenes clip on

http://www.stufferthefilm.com

and at least two more behind the scenes clips will follow soon.

Van’s beautiful portrayal of Luke made me believe that Luke was in love with Noah, then with Reid, even though the scripts were crappy. I hope Van will be rewarded for his amazing work. Van is such a wonderful actor! I am so missing him! I want to watch Van Hansis in movies or in a TV show.

As The World Turns

ATWT and OLTL Alum Mary Linda Rapelye Passes Away at 76

She got her soap start as Faith Kipling, the wife of the evil Dr. Ivan Kipling on One Life to Live (1979-1980) and later came to Oakdale and As the World Turns as lawyer, Maggie Crawford (1980-1985), and now comes sad news that actress Mary Linda Rapelye has died from a battle with cancer.

Mary Linda actually passed away last month on April 5th, and according to The Booth Bay Register she was surrounded by her her brother Gardiner Rapelye Jr. and dear friends Julianna and Will Anderson by her side.  She was 76 years old at the time of her death.

Mary Linda started a long career of acting when she was only 5.  After her part in an outdoor production at The Starlight Theater in her home town, Kansas City, Missouri, she climbed off the stage and sat in her father’s lap. This was to be the beginning of her work spanning nearly eight decades on stage, screen and television. She is best known for her roles in Truman Capote’s In Cold Blood, and of course, OLTL and ATWT.  She also made a memorable appearance in the role of Irina Galliulin in the Star Trek: The Original Series third season episode “The Way to Eden”.

A Memorial and Celebration of Life is being planned this July for MaryLinda in Booth Bay.

Below is a tribute video featuring clips and moments from Rapelye’s career.
