Wayne Brady, who is the host of CBS daytime’s Let’s Make a Deal and formerly played Dr. Reese Buckingham on The Bold and the Beautiful, opened up about his sexuality and has come out as pansexual.

In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE.com, Brady clarified, “I am pansexual.”  That means he is attracted to persons regardless of their sex or gender. Brady puts it another way, “Bisexual — with an open mind!”

Brady shared the first person he came out to was his ex-wife, Mandie Taketa.  She shared her reaction: “I just said, ‘Great.’ As I knew coming out would help him be happier.”

As it turns out, Brady, Mandie, their daughter Maile, and Mandie’s partner, Jason Fordham are all a part of an upcoming reality series coming to Hulu about their blended family. Taketa and Fordham welcomed a baby in 2021, and Brady is a co-parent. Clearly, Wayne’s sexuality will be a part of the new series.

In a portion of his interview, Wayne shared on his journey to discover where he is at sexually, “What am I looking for in these people that I can’t find in myself? And then leaving a wake of people and never being satisfied and then going back to being lonely. Fast forward to recently asking myself the question: ‘Wayne, um, are you gay?’ And the answer was no because despite having been in all of these unsuccessful relationships and now dealing with what I know can be diagnosed as love addiction, I started to go, ‘Okay, I’m feeling something, but I just don’t know how to get there.’ And then I felt like a fraud.”

Brady added, “Let’s be really honest: I’ve also been attracted to certain men in my life, but I’ve always pushed that aside because of how I was raised, and because I live in today’s world, and it’s scary as s–t. What’s the fastest way to hurt another man? I’m gonna call you out of your name. I’m gonna call you gay. I’m gonna emasculate you. I’m gonna use the F-word.”

He added, “I’m still coming together. But If I’m healthy, then I can go onstage at Let’s Make A Deal and be the best Wayne Brady that everybody wants and expects. I can be the best dad that Maile needs. I can be the best friend to Mandie, the best son to my mother, and one day, the best partner to someone, because I’m doing this for me. Not dating yet though! (Laughs) I am single, but it’s not about being with someone right now. I’ve got some work to do still. Then, Wayne as a single, open-minded pansexual can make a decision and be free and open to other people.”

What do you think of Wayne revealing that he is pansexual and the sentiments he shared to his discovery? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

Sorry, but TMI!!
I REALLY did NOT need to know that about him. I don’t know why so many people need to discuss their sexuality so the whole world knows everything about them.

Because if you are a straight person, you flaunt your sexuality subtly and overtly all day, every day, just by existing. Much like you flaunted your intolerance here. Seriously, do you think we all need to read your boring, predictable and completely derivative nonsense? Do you literally have no original thoughts? My god, read the room. This site is full of LGBTQ people, who are some of the most loyal soap fans. I’m far more offended that you think anybody wants to read your stale intolerance than by what’s sure to be yet another pointless reality show.

It’s because they’re all lost spiritually

Yeh who cares….jus need more ratings huh!!! Disgusting…find something better to discuss

Get a life

Good for him! Hope he finds happiness w/a partner if that’s what he wants.

Good lord what a idiot

It’s sad that I know this now.
I’ll miss him.
So many people are lost…..

His dumb show replaced guiding light so I could care less but also why do people have tell us this stuff

Surrender your life to Christ .You need some directions mental and emotional. Stop hurting your mother’s heart.

How exactly do you know what his relationship with JC or his mother is like?

I feel for him. People are so mean. Just learn to make yourself happy and fu%k what anyone thinks.

I really like Wayne Brady as an entertainer. I’m uncertain whether revealing sexual preferences does anything except perhaps another person who feels it necessary to share private information. It doesn’t increase his talent, it doesn’t make him more likeable…so the point is???? There maybe a few people who think that this disclosure makes him more of someone they can relate to or he is attempting to widen his curb appeal. I didn’t need this fact about him to enjoy his talent. I wish there was a way to “unsee” this piece of information.

I think u need to seek God.

Yeah…. maybe he should pay a visit to Marcus Bachmann’s “conversion therapy” clinic.

You know, because it obviously worked so well on Marcus himself.

There is no God, but this place is crawling with intolerant people!

Good for Wayne. Be true to yourself and be happy. Live and let live is a good motto to live by.

And to all the people here talking about God, being sanctimonious and judgmental, here’s one for you:

Matthew 7

Do not judge, or you too will be judged.

For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Nobody’s mad nobody’s judging for gosh sakes I had no idea what he was talking about can you please knock it off nobody’s judging . I have never herd of this I thought is he talking about Teflon . So please get off our back personally most of us could care less who you sleep with

Wayne, can I have a dinner date ?

I think that is brave off him especially being in the public eye and it doesn’t change the fact he is handsome and fun to watch he has a great voice and if he needed to come out to help his recovery I am here and I believe you love who you love why stay in the closet it will not help your recovery I still think your a great man good luck in your recovery

Lucas Adams and Tamara Braun Written Out of The Young and the Restless

Published

It looks like the current run of Lucas Adams (Noah) and Tamara Braun (Sienna) on The Young and the Restless is coming to an end, after the Monday, August 3 edition of the CBS daytime drama revealed that Noah and Sienna are leaving Genoa City and heading back to Los Angeles.

In the storyline, Noah informed his mother, Sharon (Sharon Case) and half-sister Mariah (Camryn Grimes) that he and Sienna made the decision to move back to the West Coast to put distance between themselves and Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). Although Noah did not say it was a permanent move, he did assure his mom that once Matt is hopefully gone from Genoa City they could return.

However, as previewed already on the video teaser for this week’s episodes of Y&R (see below), it appears Noah left Genoa City’s The Shadow Room to be run by a returning Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian). So with that, coupled with today’s episode, it would appear the move could wind up being more permanent.

COMINGS AND GOINGS

Adams made his Y&R debut on November 4, 2025 as the successor to Rory Gibson who last played Noah on-screen in April of 2023. Earlier in 2025, Gibson took over the role of Michael Corinthos on Genera Hospital replacing Chad Duell, who stepped away from the part after 15 years.

Braun who played Adam’s mother on Days of Our Lives when she was Ava Vitali and he was Tripp Dalton, first appeared on Y&R back on October 14, 2025, where we soon learned she had become Noah’s lover as the new character, Sienna Bacall.  It should be noted, Adams was on contract with the number #1 soap, while Braun has been on recurring status.

With Josh Griffith now exited as head writer of The Young and the Restless, and the newly announced co-head writing team of Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor having taken his place and starting their new tenure this week, it will be interesting to see how the duo resets the show, and if a Noah and Sienna return is in the cards for the future or not.

So, what do you think about the seeming departures of Lucas Adams and Tamara Braun from The Young and the Restless? Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out our recent live chat with Tamara and Lucas on the Michael Fairman Channel.

Rosie O’Donnell Says She Will Return to ‘The View’ During its Season 30

Rosie O'Donnell

Rosie O’Donnell revealed that she plans to head back to a seat at the table of ABC’s morning talk show The View.

The announcement came during Monday’s episode of The Tangle Podcast where she shared she will participate in “in whatever way they want” her or “just as a guest” for its upcoming 30th season.

The View’s season 30 will kick-off this fall in September. O’Donnell explained, “They’re bringing back all the hosts, I think. And, you know, I’m pretty proud of that show, what it’s become and how it really speaks to the people and to politics.”

ROSIE ON HER PREVIOUS GO-ROUNDS ON THE VIEW

As fans of The View know, O’Donnell famously had two different one-year stints on the talk show in 2007 and again in 2014- 2015. She often feuded with then co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck.

However, during her discussion with host, Kyle Ridley on The Tangle Podcast, O’Donnell also noted she often had tense moments with longtime moderator and anchor, Whoopi Goldberg.

O’Donnell also expressed, “Many, many people got the short end of the stick there. It was, you know, it was a factory where people were being churned in and out and their tenuous security, nobody got to be calm. It also was a show at the time that was run by a man. A show created by a woman, for women, about women, and the man was deciding what we should talk about. And that didn’t sit right with me, you know.”

Back in 2023, Brooke Shields had asked Rosie on her podcast, Now What? with Brooke Shields, about how she felt on her two stints at The View and all the controversy that surrounded it. Rosie at that time, stated, “I know this, it’s not the best use of my talent to get in a show where I have to argue and defend basic principles of humanity and kindness. It was not something I’d ever do again.”

You can check out the clip with Rosie and Kyle Ridley discussing her return to The View in some form for its upcoming 30th season below.

Then weigh-in: Would you be excited to see Rosie, even for a one-day or a week guest stint on the upcoming celebratory season of The View, or not so much? Let us know via the comment section.
