Which GH Couple Do You Hope Has A Happy Valentine's Day? Who Should Be Struck By Cupid's Arrow?

The day of love is upon us! While Valentine’s Day 2016 lands on this coming Sunday, for the soaps, hearts, flower-giving, and sex is beginning to play out this week on-air.
On General Hospital love is in the air for some, love is not in the air for others, and still other duos haven’t even quite gotten to first base! Nathan (Ryan Paevey) wants to marry Maxie (Kirsten Storms). Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright) are at the moment togethr. Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Julian (William deVry) are about to tie the knot. Jason (Billy Miller) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) are inching closer to resuming their relationship. Franco (Roger Howarth) and Nina (Michelle Stafford) are having squabbles about having a child, while Franco spends time worrying about Jake (James Nigbor) and Liz (Rebecca Herbst). Paul (Richard Burgi) and Ava (Maura West) hit the sheets, but Ava wants out of her deal with the underhanded DA. Kiki (Hayley Erin) lusts after Morgan (Bryan Craig), and now Morgan is off his meds. Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) and Hayden (Rebecca Budig) are legally married, but now the dark prince is investigating the new Mrs. Cassadine’s background … hello Rachel!

While we first thought Dillon (Robert Palmer Watkins) would end up with Lulu (Emme Rylan), things are looking intriguing if Dillon and Maxie should fancy each other.
As for Brad (Parry Shen) and Lucas (Ryan Carnes), where are they? What about Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) and Parker (Ashley Jones) … does Kristina really dig the professor, or not? And as for Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), does he still want Valerie (Brytni Sarpy)? Does Valerie want Curtis (Donnell Turner), or does Jordan (Vinessa Antoine)? And finally, who would you like to see GH’s new doctor Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) have a Valentine’s date with?

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Serena Sets Her Sights on Michael; Jason’s Emotional Exit from the Mob
This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”
Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.
Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.
Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.
Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Josslyn is taken aback. Ava courts a new ally. Jordan and Anna catch up. Isaiah vents to Lucas and Elizabeth. Michael questions Jacinda.

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80
Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.
PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.

Ava and Paul are also the most disgusting and vile couple on dayime.
@Harry1…..They are disgusting and vile, yes, but you must admit Julian and Alexis certainly give them a run for their money.
Shay the First, there is a rumor out there which suggests that Alexis and Julian are going to have a baby…..another one.
I think I will just let that possibility sit there without comment.

My favorite soap couple…Epiphany and Milo…Dianne and Max…their romance is off camera is what makes them favorites because the so-so couples that are on screen don’t sizzle they fizzle…there really isnt any true romantic hero and heroine i can cheer for on this soap-not anymore…i still kind of like the show and it has some good moments but as for couples…they just dont have the impact on me like they used to.
The GH couples are overkill of nicy nicy molasses & sugar..
I need to FF the couples or I surely will become a diabetic..

LOL Jim .. ITA, there is not one GH couple I’m swooning over right now. I used to love Maxie&Nathan, but they are so boring now! Glad he’s finally moving forward with a marriage proposal. I loved Liz&Jake until she decided to lie .. even then I hoped he’d love her anyway, but he didn’t. All his romantic words of the past year, all a big show. Now we’re probably gonna hear him saying those same romantic phrases (“I memorized your entire face” now THAT was a swoonworthy moment!) to Sam. Sorry, for me it’s too late for Jasam to be swoonworthy. Jason should have been connecting with her all along, MUCH more than he connected with Liz. And Sam had no interest in him either until she found out he was Jason. Liz loved him BEFORE she knew he was Jason. That’s just more romantic to me! The only couple I’m really loving on this show right now is Robert & Anna. But I doubt GH has anything planned for them on Valentine’s Day.
I wish Robert were staying…he and Anna make the perfect couple…it showed in their scenes together…they would be my favorite couple right now.

Having said that, Anna and Robert are the ultimate supercouple that GH currently has within its fragile grasp to reclaim…they need to be reunited. Just do it already! Anyone else with the lovely and gracious Anna is absolutely unthinkable….they are simply not worthy of this glamorous, sophisticated creature. (Although I must say her going all MataHari on Paul Hornsby was a treat unto itself….she definitely has this gullible man where she wants him, and I hope she goes in for the kill to get the information she needs….) We definitely need Frisco back in Port Charles….I’ve also proposed he’d be great with Anna—in the absence of Robert as first choice, of course—-because nobody else in town deserves her. The same can be said for Laura…..she’s too special to waste on the slim pickings currently on the canvas….

I agree, Melissa!!! Very sad “state of affairs,” isn’t it???? (No pun intended…..) It would seem that GH is being reshaped more as a soapbox for a preponderance of women’s subjects and less of a romance-filled soap opera. All we’ve been getting as of late is advocacy for public breastfeeding and menopausal sexfests, plus celebrating the femme form in all shapes and sizes….sounds more like a boring old issue of a ladies’ mag rather than a daytime drama!
Julian & Alexis are the epitome of love in the afternoon. ❤️ I’m very excited about their upcoming wedding and would love to see them spend a romantic Valentine’s Day alone together.

Um, love Maxie and Nathan together; not that they’ve had much air time recently. Julian and Alexis smolder. Poor Lucas and Brad have been off camera for so long it’s hard to even root for them anymore. Sonny and Carly just are who they are; nothing too exciting as they stand strong and that’s okay. Lulu, Dante, Valerie, Dillion?? Are they even a quad anymore? Jordan and the new guy who seems too good to be true, so I have to wonder. Curtis sparks with everyone. I love Hayden and Nicolas together. Paul is wearing thin on me and I love that Ava has cut him off. Kiki and Morgan make me cringe. I liked Michael and Sabrina together until they came up with this convoluted way to get her off the screen so she could have her real baby. The new doctor sizzles. Nina and Franco are being forced into a complication that they’ll probably use to break them up instead of have them work through it, so that’s becoming ho-hum. Hate Jason with Sam, or Sam with anyone. I like Jason with Liz. Monica’s judge boyfriend must have fallen overboard when they were on that cruise, but I am happy to see her more often then he must. Tracey doesn’t need a man for a while. Would love to see more of Epiphany and Milo, and Max and Diane; they always sparkled when they were on. Scotty was fun with Bobbie and Lucy, but I guess since Lucy is gone, they could at least show him whit Bobbie once in a while. And then there’s poor Laura. I know they’re ramping up her story, but boy it seems to take forever. Don’t care one iota about Christina’s affair with Parker; just another waste of time when they have Lucas and Brad’s story to tell. And what’s happening with Molly and TJ, while we’re at it? They’re freshly out of their houses and in the dorms. Any thing inappropriate going on there or is PCU virgin territory? It would be nice to see Mac and Felicia get some romantic time on air. Anna has chemistry with everyone so just see what sticks. I bet it all would. Have I missed anyone????

Well, it would save them from casting the role of Susan but Tracy knows her as Rachel BUT she did mention her father and Hayden cringed! Hayden could be Paul’s daughter, though. Whatever happens Tracy will be on the cusp of something big and will have a heart attack or stroke right before she spills the relish!

Liz and Jason…they have chemistry. The only person Kelly Monaco has and always has had super chemistry is with Michael Easton….something just exudes from her with him, similar to Alexis and Julian. Also like to see Franco and Nina, two of the best soap actors ever need better writing and have great chemistry. Anna and Robert are always awesome.

I know how you feel Patrick. I had hoped, after realizing how much damage they’d done to each other and their relationship, that they’d go to couples counceling. Their love is still great…but so is their mutual hurt.
Looks like the writers are casting them adrift.l, at least for now. So IF that’s the case I could see Lulu falling for rhe good doc…though if Liz is staying in town…

Patrick – I agree. The writers are now trying to make it sound like there was something wrong with their marriage before hand, so this is why Dante cheated. Ridiculous.
Now that Dante cheated, I don’t like them together anymore.
Probably way too soon but would love to see more sparks between Franco and Liz before Rebecca Herbst might leave. Have been aboard for Franco and Nina but that relationship has suffered from neglect by the writers, plus their conflict over having a baby has put added strain on the chemistry.
Liz & Jason have chemistry not him and Sam.
I would love see Dante and Lulu get a divorce. I would love for Dante and Valerie to get a chance then down the line Dante and Lulu can get back together.

So after a year together, Maxie still doesn’t want to marry Nathan, just live with him. How Unromantic. I guess I can scratch Naxie off my list of must-see couples. Lake too. They were great together, but now Jason’s just gonna eternally waffle between Liz and Sam. That is also NOT romantic! Dante is the scum of the earth, yet we’re supposed to root for Lulu to take him back?! NOT romantic! The only couple on GH that is worth anything right now is Anna & Robert. I will watch on the days they are on.
Dante doesnt show remorse. He is the gum on the bottom of my shoe! Lulu needs a whole new man to woo her!
Seriously! I have hated him ever since he lied on the witness stand to keep his “wonderful father” Sonny from going to prison for shooting him. He is just like Sonny, whom I despise. Justifies every immoral thing he does. Sleeping with Val because he “suspects” Lulu is having an affair, seems like he was just looking for an excuse! And then, to get on his moral high horse and lecture LULU, as if it’s all her fault! I can’t with this character!
Amen to that, Timmm! Dante is a dog…..at the first sign of (what he perceived as) marriage troubles, he derived comfort with the easiest sure thing around. Disgusting! It appalls me that Lulu would even consider taking him back….let alone begging for a second chance! Once a cheater, always a cheater. Run, Lulu, run!!!! You deserve better……
Love Dante. He’s been nothing but a good guy since the day he arrived in Port Charles. Yes, he and Lulu lost their way. I still believe there’s a lot of love. They’ve gone through many difficut times together including Lulu’s kidnapping by a crazed Stavros. When she finally came home and didn’t remember him but gravitated to Milo, Dante still suppported her, protected her and gave her time.
Dante didn’t “cheat” because he’s a womanizer…he bonded with a person he already had a friendship with when he thought Lulu had left him…cheated on him. He never felt good about it. He was obviously stressed and depressed…lost.
One huge chain of unfortunate recent events doesn’t mean the end of love. Slow road back…and a new beginning. Stronger in the long run.
