Way to go soap fans and those who recognize the dancing talents of former As the World Turns star, Colleen Zenk (Barbara)!  Thousands have launched a Facebook campaign to lobby to get Zenk a spot on ABC’s upcoming new season of Dancing with the Stars.

It all started with fans created a Facebook group with a campaign titled: Colleen Zenk Deserves to be on DWTS which now has over 5,000 members participating.

Well, now efforts have not gone in vain, Zen reported via her Twitter account that reps from Dancing with the Stars have contacted her reps!   Zenk tweeted, “DWTS just contacted my agent! Keep it going! There is a big hill still to climb! Dancing!!”

Can Zenk get her shot at the Mirror Ball Trophy?  She will if these loyal soapers have anything to say about it.

I wouldn’t mind seeing her on DWTS.i would love it if they’d have other soap stars on at the same time.I enjoyed the Henry, Barbara story.it proved that age is only a number and watching her dance on DWTS would be great!

If Jake from the Bachelor made it to dancing with the stars, and Briston Palin, who is a nobody made it, Colleen Zenk should be a shoein for DWTS….she is an awesome and well-loved soap star,an incredible dancer and a survivor…..what more can make a great contestant???? Go Colleen!
