WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW: Zoey Stark Suffers Heartbreaking Knee Injury During ‘Money in the Bank’ Qualifying Match
We hate to see it, but in the world of live streaming or television broadcasts, nothing can really stop the train once a match is underway. During the Monday, May 19th edition of WWE’s Monday Night RAW streaming on Netflix, there was a women’s Money in the Bank qualifying match for the opportunity to advance to the finals at Money in the Bank’s premium live event on Saturday June 7th from Los Angeles.
In the qualifier, it featured Zoey Stark vs. Rhea Ripley vs. the returning Kairi Sane. Things took a heartbreaking turn when Stark jumped from the top rope for a springboard missile dropkick to Kairi and landed awkwardly, letting out a blood-curdling scream as her knee appeared to buckle from under her. Upon closer look in the videos that surfaced on social media afterwards, Starks leg and knee bent the wrong way.
As Starks was writhing in pain on the mat, the referee checked on her, and at that point everyone knew is was serious and unplanned. Next, a WWE trainer slid into the ring to check on Starks and helped her out of the ring so the match could continue. Zoey looked to be in tears and agony as she was taken to the back to be attended to in the locker room area.

The match continued as Rhea Ripley defeated Saine to qualify for the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match for a chance to win the MITB briefcase which would give her the right, so she could cash it in at any time against a current women’s division champion.
Rhea Ripley also took to social media immediately following the match and expressed, “Professional wrestling can be very real and dangerous… Tonight continued to prove that anything can happen. Wishing Zoey Stark a speedy recovery!”
WWE star Bayley simply tweeted: ‘ZOEY ❤️’ Natalya, who was in another MITB qualifier with Becky Lynch and winner Roxanne Perez earlier in the night, said: ‘I love you @ZoeyStarkWWE and I’m keeping you in my prayers.”
WWE producer and former wrestler, Shane ‘The Hurricane’ Helms, pointed out how wrestling deserves more respect for the risk the performers take to deliver for fans and the viewing audience at home. Helms wrote, ‘No matter how much respect Pro Wrestling gets, it’ll never be enough. Every bump causes damage if even on a micro level. And some can be life altering. Get well soon Zoey Stark. We all ❤️ ya”’
We will keep you posted on the injury to Zoey Stark in the days to come. You can take a look at the moments from Zoey’s injury and her being assisted to the locker room while live on Netflix below.

It was then that after playing the part of Stephanie for 25 years that Susan made the decision to retire from acting and in one of the most heartbreaking sendoffs, passes away from lung cancer in Brooke’s arms in November of 2012. Susan said, “It’s definitely like coming home in a way, even though it’s not the same studio. It’s really lovely to see old faces and old faces with new faces. It takes you back mentally. You start remembering what it was like back then, even things like how much your feet would ache at the end of the day from wearing six-inch heels. It was just lovely to be back and see everybody.”

Ian expressed, “It’s a mind trip, you know. When I was sitting looking at the big Forrester set, it was like stepping back in time, almost. It takes you back mentally, and you start remembering what it was like when you were here before.”

THE 411 ON TIA AND KALISTA
Speaking with TV Insider, about their soapy experience in Fairmont Crest, Tabitha Brown previewed about her host with the most, “Tia is very professional, but she’s a girl’s girl. She is a protector of women and wants to tell their stories in a beautiful way, but she also wants to make sure they’re seen in a very good light.”
However, Burruss previews that Kalista arrives with a score to settle. “She’s spicy,” shared the recording artist. “I always love playing somebody that has come to start trouble. It’s always fun to play a villain of sorts, but Kalista feels like she’s been done wrong and she’s hurt by what she feels has been done to her. So Kalista is stirring up trouble, but she feels justified putting Dani on blast. Kalista is ready for some payback.”
Beyond the Gates is produced by CBS Studios, as part of the CBS Studios/NAACP Venture, in partnership with P&G Studios, a division of Procter & Gamble. Created by head writer Michele Val Jean, executive producers include Val Jean, Sheila Ducksworth, Julie Carruthers, Tracey Thomson, Leon W. Russell, Derrick Johnson, Anna Saalfeld and Lela Coffey.
Beyond the Gates is broadcast weekdays on CBS (2:00-3:00 PM, ET/1:00-2:00 PM, PT) and is available to stream on Paramount+**.
