Now you can “Yeet” your way to WrestleMania 41, after Saturday night’s thrilling Men’s Royal Rumble which saw “Main Event” Jey Uso emerging as the shocking victor in a stacked men’s lineup that was to be once-in-a-lifetime for the WWE universe.

Over 70,000 plus strong packed Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana to witness the four card matches, which included: the Men and Women’s rumble, Cody Rhodes defending his Universal Championship in a ladder match against former-friend-turned-bitter enemy, Kevin Owens, plus the WWE Tag Team Championships were on the line when DIY (Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano) faced the former champs, the Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley). The premium live event was also streamed on Peacock.

Let’s take a look at what went down starting with the main event, the Men’s Royal Rumble. In order of how they entered were: Rey Mysterio, Penta, Chad Gable, Carmelo Hayes, Santos Escobar, Otis, Bron Breakker, Akira Tozawa (but after a sneak attack by Carmelo Hayes was replaced by You Tube star, IShowSpeed), Sheamus, Jimmy Uso, Andrade, Jacob Fatu, Ludwig Kaiser, The Miz, Joe Hendry, Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre, Finn Bálor, Shinsuke Nakamura, Jey Uso, AJ Styles, Braun Strowman, John Cena, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Dominik Mysterio, Sami Zayn, Damian Priest, LA Knight, and finally Logan Paul.

IT’S AN UCEY RUMBLE

Late in the men’s rumble, you had a stunning array of superstars all in the ring at the same time, and all who were considered “favorites” to win the rumble and earn their spot at a shot at a title at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas in April. The stars aligned to have Jey Uso, Logan Paul, John Cena, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and CM Punk all facing off with one another as the crowd went nuts!

Suddenly, Punk eliminated Rollins and Reigns over the top rope, but moments later Logan Paul would dump Punk out, igniting a sudden rage in Rollins that saw him unload on the OTC with a double Stomp and another right on the steel steps. That left,Uso, Cena (who has started his 2025 farewell tour) and Paul. Shortly thereafter, Paul was done for the night, leaving Jey and John to go at it. Eventually, it was Jey who survived all 29 other entrants and to the delight of “Yeeters” everywhere, Uso will now get his shot presumably at Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41.

Some of the other can’t-miss moments in the men’s rumble included:

*Luchadors Rey Mysterio Jr. and Penta leading off the rumble as entrants #1 and #2

*Jacob Fatu tearing through the competitors for a hot several minutes of action

*Bron Breakker spearing IShowSpeed

*The return of AJ Styles

*TNA Champ, Joe Hendry appearing and battling in the rumble.

*Dominik Mysterio being the next man up after the thrilling Cena, Punk and Rollins entrances, naming him Mr. “Buzzkill.”

*Logan Paul jumping over from the ring to the announce table without landing his feet on the floor to avoid elimination.

ALL HAIL TO THE QUEEN

As predicted, Charlotte Flair made her triumphant return from her career-sidelining knee injury to win the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble.

In order of 1-30 entrances, the women’s rumble shook out like this: Iyo Sky, Liv Morgan, Roxanne Perez, Lyra Valkyria, Chelsea Green, B-Fab, Ivy Nile, Zoey Stark, Lash Legend, Bianca Belair, Shayna Baszler, Bayley, Sonya Deville, Maxxine Dupri, Naomi, Jaida Parker, Piper Niven, Natalya, Jordynne Grace, Michin, Alexa Bliss, Zelina Vega, Candice LeRae, Stephanie Vaquer, Trish Stratus, Raquel Rodriguez, Charlotte Flair, Giulia, Nia Jax, and Nikki Bella.

The women’s rumble provided the pop of the night with the return of Alexa Bliss, which sent the crowd into a frenzy. Bliss was shocker, when it has been believed she was at a contract negotiation impasse with the WWE about money. However, looks like everything is all hunky-dory now! In addition to Bliss, the rumble saw the return of Hall-of-Famers, Trish Stratus and Nikki Bella. While at first, the crowd was happy to see Nikki, by the time she was doing her “push-ups in the ring schtick” their were audible boos.

At the end of the rumble, it was Charlotte and Roxanne Perez who were the last two standing. In fact, Perez broke an all-time women’s rumble record by staying in it for one hour, seven minutes and 47 seconds until Flair sent her over the top rope.

DIY vs. MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS WITH SURPRISE INTERFERENCE

This 2 out of 3 falls tag match for the titles was lackluster; especially after the quick pin fall for DIY in fall 1. Then, eventually after the Motor City Machine Guns evened the score 1 to 1, the whole thing fell apart when two men disguised in hoodies showed up at ringside.

Photo: WWE

The first, distracted the referee only to reveal himself to be The Street Profits, Angelo Dawkins, who attacked (with his crutch) the Motor City Machine Guns and cost them the win. However, after DIY celebrates, the Street Profits (Dawkins with Montez Ford) turn on them and attack Ciampo and Gargano.

CODY RHODES BEATS KEVIN OWENS BUT BODILY HARM WAS ALL AROUND

Following Rhodes vs Owens, where it looked like KO had received the worst beating of the two, it was revealed by WWE commentator Jackie Redmond (during the post-show), that Cody sustained a few injuries and was unable to talk to the press. What we do know in watching this ladder match is that these two veterans really put their body through some serious moves, which kept this at a fast-paced clip.

Rhodes delivered a back body drop onto the edges of a ladder and the fisherman buster delivered by Owens to Rhodes onto a ladder hit the American Nightmare’s head!  The match showcased that Cody has aggression and can take drastic measures to fight back, which could finally give Rhodes more of an edge as the champion instead of the PG version.

One question remains, Sami Zayn! He came to the aid of his best friend, Kevin Owens, after he was cut open on his head and left in a heap outside the ring. For a moment, you didn’t know whether he would turn on Cody or Owens. Is a heel turn forthcoming from Sami to join his friend Owens as true tag team threats to the championship? After all, they previously won the titles as ‘babyfaces’ back at WrestleMania 39.

The correlation between this interest and soap operas is hard to find, unless the idea is that soap viewers also enjoy sweaty, scantily clad men with large muscles. On either front, the writing is absolutely wretched.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.

Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.

As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY

Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.

Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS

Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.

In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”

So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.

This week on General Hospital begins with the ABC soap opera’s 16,000th episode which brings Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) back to Port Charles after being released by the WSB; all thanks to the deal made between Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Z (John Oliver).

On the same episode, the upshot of Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) coming face to face, and seeing each other for the first time in months plays itself out, and it may not be how you think. Josslyn hopes sending Valentin to the side of Anna, will break up his burgeoning relationship with her mother, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), but will it?

It appears Valentin has a warning for Anna. In the GH video preview for the episode, Anna is seen saying “How do you know that?” What does Valentin know, and will he be the person that will catch on that she is being haunted by the ghost of Peter August (Wes Ramsey)?

In addition, look for the debut of Dean Geyer in his role of Dr. Tristan Roberts (named after the beloved late Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio), as he and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) may have a tense exchange or two.

Then, in the aftermath of their argument, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) asks Chase (Josh Swickard)Did I push you towards Willow (Katelyn MacMullen)?” Is Chase going to admit his fixation with his ex-wife, or reassure his current wife that he is not interested in Willow? Stay tuned.

Finally, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) is seen talking to someone saying that the idea of this person filling the 16th seat on the hospital board is a great idea. Who is she talking to?
