WWE ‘Saturday Night’s Main Event’ Preview: Gunther vs Jey Uso Headline; Hulk Hogan Not Making an Appearance
The second in the series of the return of Saturday Night’s Main Event (8pm ET/5pm PT) is back this weekend on NBC and streaming on Peacock ahead of all-new Saturday Night Live (11:30 pm ET/8:30 pm PT) with host and musical guest, the Oscar-nominated Timothée Chalamet (A Complete Unknown).
The stacked card live from San Antonio, Texas will feature Gunther defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso. Nearly a year ago, Jey challenged Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship in the main event of Monday Night Raw, but ‘The Ring General” prevailed. Can this be Jey’s time to capture one of the major singles titles in the WWE?
Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens are already set to headline the 2025 Royal Rumble in just one week, but before they face-off in a ladder match for the Universal Championship, “The American Nightmare” and KO, will have a live contract signing with WWE Hall of Famer, Shawn Michaels, presiding. What could go wrong???

Meanwhile, Hulk Hogan was believed to slated to appear on tomorrow nights broadcast, but numerous reports on Friday shared that he will not be on the show. Previously, Hulk was utilized in promotional material for Saturday Night’s Main Event.
According to Dr. Chris Featherstone on X, “I‘ve been informed that Hulk Hogan will not be appearing on #SNME due to family commitments.” The family commitments Featherstone is referencing could be the fact that Hulk’s son, Nick Hogan is getting married this weekend. Hulk’s daughter, Brooke, just had twins a week ago as well, although they have had a noted strained relationship. Hulk withdrawing from the show reportedly has nothing to do with the overwhelming chorus of boos, he received when Hogan made a surprise appearance at the debut of Monday Night Raw on Netflix back on January 6th in Los Angeles.

In other key match-ups, the newly-crowned WWE Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley, is set to defend against the former champ, Nia Jax. It should be noted that Jax, “The Irresistable Force,” perpetrated a sneak attack on “The Eradicator” as Ripley arrived for RAW. Later, an all-out brawl with several WWE female superstars took place. Revenge is certainly on the mind of Ripley in this one.
Braun Strowman wants payback against Jacob Fatu. Returning from a brutal attack he suffered at the hands of The Bloodline, Strowman will be looking for retribution when he takes on Fatu one-on-one, and in the Intercontinental Title bout, Bron Breakker defends against Sheamus. Can this be a career-defining moment for Sheamus, who has never won the IC Title, a belt that has alluded him for years?
Look for, Jesse “The Body” Ventura to be back at the announce table. The WWE Hall of Famer and former Governor of Minnesota shared on X, “So very excited for this weekend in San Antonio. The Body returns to Texas this Saturday Night!”

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Josslyn Lands Herself in Hot Water with Cassius; Brennan is on the Warpath
This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, danger lurks for Josslyn (Eden McCoy) after her nosying around puts her right in the path of Cassius (Ryan Paevey). The WSB agent is on her own mission to find out how the supposed return of ‘Nathan West’ is mixed up in Faison’s final project, and what happened to Anna Devane, who claims she saw Faison, but was apparently gaslighted by Cullum and company.
In the latest ABC promo for the daytime drama series, Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) voice is also heard exclaiming about Josslyn, “She’s not just some ditzy sorority girl. She’s a WSB agent!” Next as Josslyn is trying to leave her apartment, Cassius grabs her arm to stop her with a smirk on his face. Will Josslyn put together the pieces that the man in front of her is not Nathan at all?
Meanwhile, another man in Josslyn’s life, her boss, WSB Port Charles Bureau Chief, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) is on the warpath. Is he on the warpath about Josslyn basically going rogue when he told her to stay out of things, or is he losing it because Carly (Laura Wright) had been shacking up with his sworn enemy, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart)?

Lucas (Van Hansis) is seen talking to Carly who admits she had sex with someone else behind Brennan’s back, but he is worried about blow back for his sister, especially when he says, “What, exactly, will Brennan do if he finds out you are cheating on him?”
As the promo comes to and end, an angry Jack is about to stampede into a room, cut to Carly worried and sitting up in bed. Is he on his way to confront Carly? Will she be alone or with Valentin? Or is it all a red-herring?
The preview also features Curtis (Donnell Turner) pointing the finger at Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) as the person who caused the accident that injured Jordan (Tanisha Harper). But, is Curtis barking up the wrong tree, if the driver was Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) or someone else?
