THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL: Steffy and Carter Drown Their Sorrows After Their Marriages Fall Apart; Could One Thing Lead to Another?

Steffy and Carter

The August 14 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful left Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) facing a new reality without their spouses, but not before both have separately gone on alcohol-fueled benders.

In Monaco, Finn (Tanner Novlan) is frantic to find Steffy, who has already hightailed it on a plane back to Los Angeles after breaking up with him on the beach and giving him back her wedding ring. All this, thanks to Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). Steffy lost it when she realized Finn’s birth mother had come to Monaco on the plane with him.  When Finn tried to broker peace between Sheila and Steffy, his wife pulled away in anguish.

Now on an airplane, Steffy is completely drunk. She continues to pour and down drink after drink. And let’s remember, Steffy is an addict. She previously was addicted to painkillers. Is this the tipping point where she loses her battles with her demons once again?

BREAKUPS

While flying back to LA, Steffy flashes back to the entire Sheila saga, from Finn introducing her as his birth mother, to Sheila shooting her husband and her almost to death. Steffy is mortified reliving it in her mind.

Meanwhile, back on the ground in Los Angeles at Forrester Creations, Daphne (Murielle Hilaire) and Carter try to talk out their marriage and the devastating turn that Daphne cannot conceive a child. Carter tries to reason with her that their other ways to have children, but Daphne is to gut-wrenched to listen to anything he has to say.

In fact, after previously saying she is heading back to Paris to be with her family, Daphne doubles down on it. She tells her husband nothing has changed. He pleads with Daphne to stop blaming herself. She can’t, and tells Carter that coming to Los Angeles and falling in love was a terrible mistake.

Daphne tells Carter, she needs some distance. Carter says, “You’re not walking away from me?” Daphne confirms that she is. She takes off her wedding ring and when Carter refuses to take it, she throws in on the desk, says goodbye, and heads out the door.

DRUNKEN LOVE

Carter is rocked to the core. He always seems to be a loser in love. Next thing you know, he’s drowning his sorrows in Forrester whiskey and getting completely schnockered. He gets up and leaves the office looking for presumably more booze, and that’s when Steffy enters the office, stumbling around half out of it.

She sits down on the couch and flashes back to breaking up with Finn and cries as Carter stumbles back into the office and sees her there complete with a fresh bottle of whiskey in his hands. Carter asks her why she isn’t still in Monaco? Steffy cries Sheila showed up, and how apparently Finn and his birth mother flew together to Monaco. She explained to Finn, his birth mother cannot be in their lives for all she has done in the past and how she scares the hell out of her.

Breaking down further, Steffy tells Carter that she is tired of always being the strongest person in the relationship. She announces, “Finn and I are done.” Carter reaches over and touches her shoulder. We fade to black.

So, what do you think will be the pick-up on Monday? Will Carter and Sheila have sex on the couch or the floor at Forrester Creations and she gets pregnant with his child? Does nothing happen between them, but just talking and consoling each other? If so, what was the point of putting them together at the same time, drunk? Will Steffy end up back in the throes of her addiction? What did you think of the story turn throwing Carter and Steffy together in this manner? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

B&B’s Crew Morrow Featured in Courtroom Thriller ‘Wildcards’ Set for Theatrical Release and Tour

The Bold and the Beautiful’s Crew Morrow (Will Spencer) will be seen later this month in Wes Miller’s highly-anticipated courtroom thriller, Wildcards, now set for theatrical release nationwide on August 27, but with a twist. Wildcards recently won the Best Narrative Feature at the Essence Film Festival.

According to Variety, BLacklight and Dark Star Pictures are using the release date to reimagine a theatrical rollout by pairing a screening in select markets (seven cities, seven nights) with a moderated discussion featuring members of the cast and creative team, and in some cities, local community leaders, artists and cultural voices.

As previously reported, Wildcards, follows the trial of Theodore Sterling (Morrow), a privileged young man accused of sexually assaulting a young Black woman. As jurors from different backgrounds clash over the evidence, tensions escalate between determined state prosecutor James Jones and veteran defense attorney Greg Sims.

TOUR STOPS, A CULTURAL EVENT AND MOVIE PREMIERE

The case takes a turn with the arrival of a mysterious “wildcard” witness who claims to know the truth about the night in question. Her connection to the accused raises unsettling questions of bias, credibility and justice.

The ensemble cast features Crew Morrow, plus Leon, Elise Neal, Aries Spears, Stakiah Lynn Washington, Courtney Grace, Samantha Walkes and Robert Catrini.

Each tour stop is designed to be a shared cultural event, with organizers calling it an “evening of storytelling, reflection and audience engagement that extends beyond the final credits.”

In a statement, Wes Miller shared on the upcoming film release and tour stop (cities and dates to be announced): “I’m excited to bring this film and share the stellar performances of the cast. ‘Wildcards’ represents everything I’m passionate about as a filmmaker — creating authentic and meaningful genre entertainment for the culture. For me, this theatrical tour is about taking that directly to our communities, city-by-city, and creating the kind of theatrical experience that reminds people why cinema matters.”

Crew Morrow debuted on The Bold and the Beautiful back in August of 2024. Since that time, he has been front and center in a young love story between his character of Will Spencer and Electra Forrester played by Laneya Grace.

Currently, the duo have broken-up on-screen, but such is the case of star-crossed lovers on the soaps. Morrow is the real-life son of The Young and the Restless long-running cast member Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman).

So, excited to see Crew in the motion picture Wildcards? Do you hope the tour stops in your city, so you can attend a Q&A? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

‘General Hospital’ and Y&R Alum, Kelly Sullivan Joins ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ as Dylan’s Mom

Kelly Sullivan

The Bold and the Beautiful is continuing to expand the on-screen family of Melissa Dylan played by Sydney Bullock. Now comes casting news that none other than two-time Daytime Emmy nominee Kelly Sullivan has been tapped to play Dylan’s mother, Darcy Dylan.

According to TV Insider, viewers can look for Sullivan’s B&B debut on the August 27 episode of the CBS daytime drama series. Sullivan has made quite the impression on soap opera fans in the past, so it will be intriguing to see just what Darcy Dylan is all about and how it has affected her daughter, who does not always seem on the up and up as she has set her sights on Will Spencer (Crew Morrow).

Kelly first appeared on the daytime scene as a recast for fashion editor, Kate Howard on General Hospital in 2011, after replacing Megan Ward in the role. However, she suffered from dissociative identity disorder and battled with her alter-ego, Connie Falconeri. Eventually in 2014, she was shot and killed by Ava Jerome (Maura West).

Next, Sullivan moved over to The Young and the Restless where she played Sage Warner from 2014-2016. In story, Sage was involved with both Adam and Nick Newman, then played by Justin Hartley and current long-running cast member, Joshua Morrow, respectively.

Sage was the biological mother to Adam’s son, Christian, and gave birth to him before she died, as part of an umbrella story involving Sharon (Sharon Case) and Dylan (Steve Burton) believing Christian was their child named “Sully” and the entire Adam/Nick saga of who is the real bio-dad to the child.

HOW WILL THE ARRIVAL OF DARCY DYLAN IMPACT MELISSA DYLAN?

The casting of Sullivan comes after it was revealed back in May that Remy Pryce was returning to the canvas, and Christian Weissman was on contract with the soap opera. In recent months, it was revealed that Remy is a cousin of Dylan’s.

Taking to her Instagram after the casting news broke on Thursday, Kelly shared her enthusiasm at her new soap gig and gave a shout out to her new boss, the executive producer and head writer of B&B, Brad Bell.

Kelly wrote, “I’m very excited to join the The Bold and the Beautiful family and bring this force of nature to life. Thank you Brad Bell, for this amazing character. I can’t wait to step into Darcy’s boots.”

When not acting, Sullivan has become an accomplished acting teacher. Kelly’s other previous credits include: The Morning Show, Never Have I Ever, The Winchesters, Chicago P.D. and many more. Kelly is also featured in the upcoming film Ethan Almighty: Ethan’s Law, with a cast that includes: Kelsey Grammer, Brandon Routh (ex-Seth Anderson, One Life to Live) and Trevor Donovan (ex-Jeremy Horton, Days of our Lives).

Sullivan was previously nominated for a Daytime Emmy for her role on General Hospital  in 2014 and The Young and the Restless in 2016.

So, what do you think of Kelly Sullivan being cast as Dylan’s mom? Do you think she will be a fine upstanding person or a bad girl? Will Darcy arrive with intentions to land one of the wealthy Forrester or Spencer men for herself? What do you think will happen? Weigh-in via the comment section.
