Here we go again! Seems the powers-that-be at Y&R are making a change-up, a game changer, again. That makes everyone in the industry wonder, if Drucilla is on her way back to Genoa City.  Now if that were to be, it would appear not in the form of the talented actress and author,Victoria Rowell (Ex-Dru), whose novel Secrets of a Soap Opera Diva hasn’t even hit the bookshelves and is a hit, but a possible replacement for the role!

In today’s Soapgeist columnTV Guide Canada’s Nelson Branco stated, “As previously reported, Y&R is casting Malcolm’s fiancée, Simone. However, a revised casting call was sent out stating the character description has changed. Looks like Y&R is making their new black female role more like Drucilla by the minute. The role is expected to debut in May and begins taping in April.”  What is going on here?  Stay tuned.

If they are actually stupid enough to recast Drucilla when Rowell is available for the part, then MAB should quit. She is the empress of bad recasting and hiring/firing the wrong people! Muhney is completely miscast as Adam, and she has made the show All About Adam. Reigel should be Mackenzie, so she’d be reunited w/ Hendrickson’s Chloe, but instead she’s Heather Stevens! Rylan should be Heather Stevens, but instead she’s a 29 year old Abbie, when Abbie should be a teen and they need teen Abbotts after stupidly killing off Colleen so Victor could temporarily be shipped out. Yeah, this is a bad move on the show’s part. The character and likeness of Dru that VR play is not replacable and they tried it before with Eva and it bombed miserable. Y&R, get on your knees and beg VR back as Dru and if the idiots have anything to say, they can lose their job too.

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes OUT at ABC and ‘GMA3’

It’s not ending well for Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes. The former GMA3 co-hosts, who had their affair come to light publicly, have been let go by ABC after a lengthy mediation session on Thursday.

Now, the network has severed all ties with Robach and Holmes and they will receive payouts of their contracts.

According to TMZ: the long mediation session was “extremely contentious,” with ABC reps accusing both Amy and T.J. of various forms of misconduct, which one source characterized as “a witch hunt.”

They go on detail that Amy and T.J were told that they did not handle their romance appropriately by waiting too long to disclose it to ABC executives.

ABC expressed that their “behavior on set” was “uncomfortable” for some ABC staff.

Page Six is also reporting that their source shared from the talks, that unless ABC reaches a satisfactory departure agreement with both Amy and T.J., they would both be looking at filing lawsuits against the network.

In additional accusations, ABC said alcohol had been found in Robach’s dressing room.  However, that was disputed as ABC executives had gifted liquor bottles to Robach and other on-air ABC talent. Robach was also accused of showing up “drunk” to work after attending the College Football National Championship last year.  Amy claims she was just tired.

So, what do you think of Robach and Holmes being given the hook by ABC and being show the front door? Comment below.
