Y&R Favorite Michael Graziadei Becomes a Dad to Twins

Photo: IMDb

Congratulations are in order this Labor Day Weekend with the good news that former Y&R alum, Michael Graziadei (Ex-Daniel Romalotti) and his lady love, Lauren have welcomed twins!

The announcement came on Monday from Graziadei on his Instagram account.  Michael and Lauren welcomed twin boys born on Wednesday, August 25th, named Oliver and Arlo. As Michael describes in his post, both twins had to spend time in the NICU, but they are all doing well at this time.

Graziadei expressed:On Wednesday August 25th these two little monsters were brought into this world with the strength of my queen @lmcla and the skill and care of our incredible doctor and her team. Since their delivery it has been a rollercoaster with both boys having to stay in the NICU. Huge shoutout to all the NICU parents out there and to all the doctors and nurses that care for these babies to ensure they all go home happy and healthy. Without their vigilance, support, and love, this would be unbearable and impossible. So without further adieu… making their first Instagram appearance… I submit for your approval, Oliver Bear and Arlo Wilde #proudpapa”

Share your well-wishes to Michael, Lauren, and the new additions to their family, Oliver and Arlo in the comment section below.

Oh how precious! Congrats and much happiness to your family.
Now, Michael we would welcome you back in a heartbeat to Genoa City for one thing to get your mother, Phyllis under control, she’s off the wire. Seriously though, I know a lot of us would really like having you back and so much for you to add to the show, and for another thing taking your ex, Lily away from Billy Boy Abbott, he’s such a jerk.

YES, VIOLET! Daniel and Lily were a perfect pairing of actors and story. Two beautiful kids in love against all the odds..who couldn’t be hooked? Graz is such a charismatic actor and is effective playing bad guys also, as he did on 911, CRIMINAL MINDS, and LONGMIRE, among others. I really appreciated Daniel’s loving friendship with Kevin and his calling out Phyllis when she needed it (frequently). I’m glad he’s a happy father and wish them all blessings.

Soaphound,
Glad you agree, and the only thing bad I associate with M.G was the sad SL of losing Cassie.

I so loved this actor the best pairing that Lily ever had also when he came back and met Mariah the best chemistry Camryn Grimes ever had and it was a short scene .

Congrats. Does anyone else think Michael would be a good recast Lucky Spencer. I can also see him as a recast Nathan on GH. He looks a bit like Wes Ramsey.

Jacqueline,
Michael would be good in any role, recast or not. I liked Wes Ramsey years ago on GL, but after he’s finally gone from GH, I don’t want to see his face for a very long time.

Me too, Violet. He was so likeable as Olivia’s brother Sam, I was surprised how quickly I came to dislike him on GH. He just can’t carry off the evil bit without seeming immature. Will we ever be rid of Peter the Puke?

They always say disliking an actor so much means what a good job they are doing. Yes, he was a sweetheart as Olivia’s brother, so cute.

Marcus Coloma On His GH Exit: “I Don’t Know Why That Decision Was Made, But I Don’t Feel Any ill Will and I Didn’t Feel I Got Fired”

This week, GH fans saw Adam Huss returning to the ABC soap opera as Nikolas Cassadine to finish out the rest of the scenes originally intended to be played by Marcus Coloma who ended his three-year run on the show a tad early.

As has been previously reported, Coloma came down with Covid-19 as his final tape days neared, and a decision was made for him to not return to finish off his last run of episodes.

With all the rumors and stances taken by everyone involved, Coloma was the special guest on this week’s episode of the That’s Awesome Podcast hosted by Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson and discussed his departure from the long-running daytime drama series.

Marcus expressed that when he took the role on GH, he was excited to be in that kind of environment (working on a soap opera), and only signed on for three years.  However, as time went by it became more difficult to reconcile leaving when his contract was up, sharing: “You fall in love with the crew and everybody along with it. So, two and a half years in, this decision that was so clear in the beginning is getting complicated.”

The actor added that while, “I knew the end was coming, it wasn’t like GH was saying, ‘Hey, Marcus, we want you to stay.’  There was no negotiation … and all I can say to that is I don’t know why that decision was made, but I don’t feel any ill will and I didn’t feel like I got fired. It just felt like … there was maybe an understanding that I was going to be there for three years. The big surprise is how much it hurt. Even though I knew I was going to leave.”

In the end, Coloma reflected that this may have concluded as it should, adding, “I really do have some big goals and those goals would have never been realized if I would have stayed. That’s not to take anything away from GH because I admire everything about it.”

Watch the episode of That’s Awesome featuring Coloma below.

Then weigh-in, what do you think of Marcus’ thoughts on his exit as GH’s Nikolas Cassadine? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
