Looks like Sean Carrigan’s role of Ben aka Stitch is growing and growing on The Young and the Restless!

And now that it appears that Stitch and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) are clearly headed towards a major romance with each other, look for Stitch’s wife to enter the fray!

According to a tweet from Nelson Branco this morning, “Y&R is doing a big search for Stitch’s wife.  Shoots 3 episodes starting next  month. The show wants a name.  Deeply hurt by Stitch, she is vulnerable, but very tough and a good mom.”

With that being said, and putting your casting director hat on, who would you like to see play the role, since the CBS soap is looking for a name actress to play her?  Anyone from daytime or primetime come to mind that you would like to see on the number one soap?

And let us know, are you digging Stitch and Victoria together?  Comment below!

Since they were just on GH maybe Tamara Braun or Sarah Brown.

Lesli Kay…she would be a great one and yes Im actually looking forward to a new romance

Lesli Kay is a great choice, she is a wonderful actress and a very pretty woman.

She seems a little old for the part. I like her where she is playing Quinn.

his wife should be JILL P.

Sarah Joy Brown should play Jenna. I like Stitch & Victoria

Kelley Menighan Hensley

Agree, Kelley would be great, maybe she could turn the part into long term!!

Yes! This woman needs to be back on daytime, but not for a three-episode cameo.

And I am not loving Stitch and Victoria. I do not like the vibe of the new Billy with Victoria hence I sense a complete parting for a while, but the Billy/Victoria relationship is so good and integral to the legacy of Y&R. I am weary of the Newmans and would like to see the entire family have an epiphany with lasting repercussions of growth. Only Nick really holds my interest as a Newman. It may take the (real) death of Victor Newman to make some waves. Otherwise it is the same slightly incestual machinations that sometimes make no sense to me as I watch supposedly very smart capable people. What they;ve done to Sharon is a shame, but I digress…

Yes, how they especially MAB’s writing did damage to the character which Sharon wasn’t this type character. The one thing these writers have done correctly is capturing the chemistry of Shick…they are the most romantic could on canvas at this moment.

I so agree about Kelley being back in daytime because she’s an awesome actress!

Do you think Sarah Gilbert would work? She works in the same studio. Y&R is always doing cross promotions. Sarah is a good actress. She had a dramatic stint on ER. Part of the description is for the actress to be tough.

LAMO! Sorry, I respectfully disagree but HELL NO!

Alicia Minshew. Seeing her interact with Amelia Heinle, Melissa Clare Egan, Cady McClain and Elizabeth Hendrickson would be awesome!

I agree, that would be awesome to see all those former AMC girls in one show again!

Only problem is, Liz Hendrickson is leaving the show and should be gone by the time Stitch’s wife makes her on-screen debut.

I totally agree with you as well AbbyS. Alicia would be an excellent choice.

Tamara or Sarah (both ex Carlys from GH) or Melissa Archer for starters. Brianna Brown just filmed a pilot but if it doesn’t get picked up I’d love to see her in role. She was Lisa Niles on GH.

Wendy moniz please!

Perfect choice!

Yes!

Melissa Archer. She would be great in the part.

Kelly Sullivan that played Connie Falconeri from General Hospital

Too powerful. She would act circles around this dude.

I am loving Victoria and Stitch! I knew they would eventually bring on Jenna and Max, I was just hoping it would be later. I guess if she is this soon then that means Victoria and Stitch are getting serious and his secret is about to be revealed. How exciting! I can’t wait.

Now clue on the casting though. So many talented actresses out there to choose from. I can see Kelly Sullivan though!

What big name actress they think they will get for only three episodes? How much are they paying to attract a name actress for three episodes?

Right now it’s just for 3 episodes but that could be extended longer depending on how things go.Plus if Stitch’s son shows up down the line then his mother could return too.So for now it could be for a 3 episode stint to set the stage for a longer stint later.

The minute I read “tough & a good Mom,” the first actress that popped into my head was Kelly Monaco. Yeah, I know, she’s at GH, but in a “dream casting world” I can totally see her as Stitch’s wife…and Stitch’s BFF, Dylan McAvoy, consoling her. 🙂 I would LOVE to see that “Stelly Magic” in action again!

Angie Harmon would be great! I want Victoria and Billy to stay together,

Sarah brown will get the part.

well there are two actresses that i just saw on gh’s 51st anniversary show that are available. Sarah Brown and Tamara Braun.

two emmy winners!

I would love to see Alicia Minshew as Stitch’s wife. I miss her.

Rebecca Budig or Alicia Minshew would be great on Y&R. I like Stitch and Victoria together.

First that came to mind was Sarah Brown, before I read all these other posts who seemed to think the same thing! She does a great balance of vulnerable, tough and devoted mom.

BUT then someone mentioned Alicia Minshew, and I could see that too.

Those are my two top votes!

Sarah would eat him alive!

Sarah Gilbert would eat her alive.

I think it has to be someone a little less glamorous, someone who can play a wholesome type. A woman who would have signed on to be an Army wife. Perhaps a Rebecca Herbst type – someone who does’t play “sex pot” or “ball buster” but can be both when the need arises.

Bingo!

Rebecca Budig (ex-Greenlee, AMC)
Sarah J. Brown (ex-Carly/Claudia, GH; ex-Madison, DAYS)
Terri Conn (ex-Katie, ATWT)

My top 3 choices!! Saving Tamara Braun for Victoria recast!

What about me. I’m a good looking italian smooth gay guy, I’m tall smooth body clean shaven face. I have acting experience, I can play a convincing lady. I can dress up in drag, i can act and sing too. LOl. My whole body is smooth and flawless.. LOl

Chastity Bono.

Yes yes good one. LOL.

LMAO..I have deleted this show from my DVR and no longer care what they do. It’s just too unwatchable.

That being said..I would return back if they cast RUPAUL as his ex-wife

Name actress? .. This is probably Meryl Streep’s for the taking.

Leanne Rimes

I know very few of these actresses – bar Budig, Minshew and the Y&R actresses but I looked at all their pictures and the only one I could ‘picture’ as Stitch’s wife is Tamara Braun. She has just the right amt of fresh faced/girl next door but could be trouble all rolled into one. Some of them were just too old to play the part or two heavily made up. I do not see him very attracted to that look.

This would be the right “Carly”.

As long as they don’t try to cross promote shows by casting one of the ladies from the View– I’ll be okay with whoever– it is only for three episodes.

Alicia Minshew or Stephanie Gatschet.

I think several actresses would be good in the role, though if they hire Sarah Brown, Tamara Braun, Alicia Minshew or Melissa Archer (which seem to be the most popular names) I would like them to stay with the show on contract because they are fantastic actresses, too good for only a 3 day part.

If they’re looking for names, it’s most likely the show is possibly looking for a recurring status, or even contract.

Beth Chamberlin previously played Beth on GL
Fiona Hutchinson previously played Jenna on GL
Gina Toiagoni previously Diana on GL

soap fans are known to bitch and whine when a known soap actor from one of the soaps goes to another soap..
It happens most every time..ie( some still can’t get over 3 from OLTL going to GH .. never heard so many cry babies over that one.. some are still sniveling ..

Why do the new created characters need to be from a different soap?
Why not just hire a new unknown.. (that is my preference.

Wow. For once we agree.

Give an unknown the role.

Just no one from GH please.

Why not Sarah Gilbert? CBS/Y&R have had several cross promotions between there shows. Y&R is part of CBS. Several Y&R actors have been guests on The Talk. Sarah Gilbert is a host of The Talk. Sarah Gilbert is an actress. The role is only a few episodes. It seems like the logical thing to do, considering all the CBS/Y&R crosses. Maybe they don’t went Sarah Gilbert at Y&R because she is a lesbian. What do you think?

Sarah is too valuable on the Talk, and will be appearing in a new CBS sitcom.

CBS obviously has NO issues with us gays. They put Sarah’s show on to replace one of their soaps, and had the character of Phillip come out on YR with an actual gay actor in the role. The character of Mac was played by a lesbian, and ATWT had a gay couple on before Days. But I don’t think you are very familiar with CBS Daytime.

I’m sure they’ll find someone to fill this temp role.

If I was betting I would choose someone from Jill Farren Phelps’ time at GH, since she does seem to have favorite performers. Kelly M Hensley would be a great addition to Y&R, though.

Tamara Braun!!!! Omg she and Steve Burton together

I would love to see the talented emmy winner Gina Tognoni in that role..All the ladies mention are great but something about Gina and this role seem to be a match made in heaven.

Gina Tognoni

Beth Ehlers (Harley)

Lindsay Hartley would be perfect, her name is already BIG!

Another new character — just what this show needs.

melissa archer…

There have been a couple of good ones already mentioned (Lesli Kay is an excellent choice).

A few other options that I might consider:

Noelle Beck
Beth Chamberlain
Sydney Penny
Yvonne Perry
Rebecca Staab

Notice that all of my choices have experience on CBS soaps. I’m a firm believer that, when possible, Y&R (or B&B, for that matter) should make a deliberate effort to hire experienced soap actors who worked on serials for the same network. In the hey day, a lot of viewers watched all 4 serials on CBS and didn’t jump around networks. I suspect a good number of them turned off the television as GL and ATWT were axed and Y&R and B&B slipped significantly in quality. I’d bring back an actor known to them to attract them back.

Some of the candidates that have been mentioned are unfamiliar to me. I’ve never watched the NBC or ABC serials.

Maybe you should try DAYS. Once again, Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott) is returning as Kristen DiMera on the NBC soap! You just may fall in love with Kristen as she struggles between good and evil. Kristen also has an ugly look-alike (Susan). Susan also has a sister (Sister Mary) and brother (Tommy). They all are played by the incredible Eileen Davidson. If she does not win the emmy this year, then no one should!!!

Special note: The last visit by Eileen lasted one year. Kristen was the only character she played that time around. However, she as Kristen, did disguise herself as a similar looking Susan.

We don’t know who she will be this time!

What does watching Days have to do with casting Ben’s wife?

Oh…you must be on the wrong thread yet again.

I’m sick of seeing soap peoples/actors jumping from one soap to another; boring..
I want ”new” actors!!

Have you considered becoming a soap star? You already have a fan base!

I would rather see experienced soap actors take the place of the actors that have chosen to leave their roles. I love seeing familiar faces. It is great for people who have lost their favorite soap. There are some very talented actors out there because of the soap cancellations.

Three episodes? Doesn’t really matter.

Bree Williamson.

Katie from ATWT!! Terri Conn? I think that’s her name, though she seems to bring behind the scenes drama with her…

Talk about a big actress for a few days…Anyone remember Joan Crawford taking over a few days. for her ill daughter. HOLY MOLY WHAT A FIASCO. Was that on Secret Storm?

‘General Hospital’s’ Dominic Zamprogna Shares He Was ‘Happy to Hear’ of The Triangle Storyline Developing Between Dante/Elizabeth/Ric

Published

By

Dominic Zamprogna

General Hospital’s Dominic Zamprogna (Dante Falconeri) opened up about the burgeoning love triangle forming between his Port Charles alter-go, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) after recently aired scenes, plus his hopes for the future of a Dante and Liz pairing, during his appearance on the Sunday, April 23 edition of the That’s Awesome podcast with Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli).

On last week’s episodes of GH, Ric has made the decision that he wanted to propose to his ex-wife, only when he showed up at Elizabeth’s front door, he misread the scenario he walked in with Liz tending to Dante’s injured leg from the softball game. From there, the legal eagle’s jealous streak is reemerging which may cause him to act out and do something unforgivable, or will he take the high road? Stay tuned.

Speaking with Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson about where Elizabeth stands in the annals of the long-running soap, Zamprogna said, “She’s up there with Steve and Maurice (Maurice Benard) as one of the most legacy-filled people on the show.”

HOW DANTE AND ELIZABETH CAME ABOUT

Dominic jokes it’s a far cry for where Dante and Elizabeth previously, recalling, “We had some scenes together years ago and we were both laughing. Becky’s like, ‘Well, I guess we’re not going be paired up anytime soon.’ I remember we laughed immediately after they yelled ‘cut,”‘and said to each other, ‘Well, so much for that!'”

Fast-forward to early 2025 and as Zamprogna remembered it, “Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) came up to me at the General Hospital Christmas party, and I think it was a year and a half ago and she said, ‘We’re going to have you in scenes with Elizabeth,’ My internal monologue is going, ‘I’m not with Lulu (Alexa Havins) anymore and Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) gone, so maybe they want to see if this works.’ I didn’t want to get scenes with Becky and try to find the chemistry. I just wanted to play whatever honestly was written and came across for both of us and hope it was what people liked, and I don’t know if it is … or not.”

Knowing how beloved Elizabeth is to the GH faithfuls, Zamprogna added, “She got a big fan base with Ric … and a big fan base with with Jason … and you know, you’re going to piss somebody off. But, didn’t Ric drug Elizabeth and put Carly in a panic room?”

DANTE AND ELIZABETH PAIRING COULD STIR UP STORY FOR OTHERS IN PORT CHARLES

In closing, Dominic felt that the wide-reaching tentacles of a Dante and Elizabeth relationship is something he is 100% down for. “The triangle thing; I was happy to hear it was with Ric and her, because I felt it’s important to have her the top of it as opposed to Dante, Lulu and Elizabeth.”

Zamprogna added, “When you get into relationships on a soap, things seem to fizzle out a little bit, The buildup is what’s the fun part, and the getting to know each other, and the people who are affected by this coming together. When with this case it’s going to affect: Ric, Sonny, Lulu. There’s so much more story here. To me, it’s going to be a fun story to play.”

You can check out Dominic’s visit to That’s Awesome with Steve and Bradford below.

Now weigh-in: Are you rooting for Dante and Liz, or Dante and Ric at this juncture of the story, or neither guy  for Elizabeth? Let us know your thoughts and picks via the comment section.

GH and OLTL Alum Patrick J. Gibbons Reveals the Story Behind Writing Trina’s Song on ‘General Hospital’ (Exclusive)

Published

on

By

Patrick J. Gibbons

At the conclusion of today’s August 21 episode of General Hospital, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) sings a lullaby to baby Dez, that went into a montage to close out the episode as her father Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) reports to Pentonville and winds up in his jail cell.

However, in a fun fact, the song entitled, “A Lonely Heart To Give” was actually written by none other than former One Life to Live and General Hospital actor, Patrick J. Gibbons.

Daytime fans first met Gibbons as Sam Manning on One Life to Live. At the time, when he started on the soap, he was just 5-years-old. Gibbons played the part from 2010-2013 on ABC and Prospect Park’s editions of the show. Fast-forward to 2018, Gibbons shows up on General Hospital as Wyatt Hoover, the scout who seemed always be injured, but in the thick of the drama. Patrick had appeared on GH multiple times as Wyatt including: 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023.

FROM HIS GRANDMOTHER’S DEATH CAME THE INSPIRATION FOR HIS SONG

Now in 2026, General Hospital fans are getting to learn about another side of Gibbons’ talent as a songwriter and guitar player after “A Lonely Heart to Give” debuted today! Michael Fairman TV caught up with Patrick, who is now a senior at Penn State entering his final year as a finance major, to get the back-story of how his song wound up on GH!

Gibbons explained he wrote the song in honor of his grandmother who passed away a few years ago with whom he was, very, very close with. “Randomly, my grandmother had a downfall and passed away during the second semester of my sophomore year. I was in my dorm a lot and I was just playing with my guitar. And at the time, I was really into finger-style playing. I wrote the lyric and music to it (with a little help from my guitar teacher Lou), and my mom showed the rough demo to Frank Valentini (EP, General Hospital). He’s like an uncle to me. Frank loved it so much he said, “Finish that up. I want to hear the whole thing, and I want it on the show.”

MAKING MUSIC FOR GENERAL HOSPITAL

Gibbons and his parents took the next steps! “So now, all we needed was a female voice, because I thought that would fit the song well,” Patrick shared. “At the golf club we go to my parents were at a dinner. They liked the singer that was performing and spoke to her about the song, and she says she would like to bring it to her ‘boss’ who ended up being Eric Bazilian of the Hooters fame!” (Bazilian also wrote the smash hit song “One of Us” for Joan Osborne).

Next, “We went in the studio and recorded it and the song came together and it was beautiful. We loved it. They loved it at General Hospital and now they’re putting it the show and they are coming in with a piano, instead of a guitar. Paul Glass, the GH musical director, has been keeping us updated over the last six months of how it was coming along, and when it would air, and how GH put their own arrangement to it. I can’t wait to see and hear what they did with it.”

Photo: JPI

PATRICK’S ONE LIFE TO LIVE FAMILY

Everyone knows that the One Life to Live extended family share a very tight bond, and Patrick said he does stay in touch with a few of his former One Life to Live co-stars, especially those from the Manning family! “I stayed in touch with Kassie DePaiva (ex-Blair) and sent her little videos here and there. She was like my second mom for five years. We keep in contact with Kristen Alderson (ex-Starr) over X the most, and she can’t believe how big I’ve gotten. Like, none of them can! (laughs). I also loved working with Roger Howarth (ex-Todd) and Trevor St. John (ex-Todd and Victor Jr.), and to me since I was so young, they were just my friends, ‘Roger and Trevor,’ not Todd Manning or Victor Jr.”

It was a trip to California and a visit to Port Charles that ultimately led to Gibbons second soap role of Wyatt Hoover. Patrick explains, “In 2016, Frank Valentini invited us out to Los Angeles to visit the set of General Hospital. I think he heard me say, ‘This is so much fun. I miss being on the set.’ He goes, ‘You should come out. I’ll bring you on the show. We can make you a character.'”

A few years later, Patrick’s dream became a reality! “Then, by the summer of 2018, I was playing Wyatt, the scout, and shared scenes with Wes Ramsey (Peter August), and the best was when I shared a scene with Roger Howarth and Michael Easton (ex-John, OLTL and ex-Silas, Finn et al, GH), it was like chemistry from the old days.”

IT’S ALL IN THE NUMBERS

As to his future aspirations, it’s a career in the finance game that has piqued Gibbons’ real-life interest. But never say never to a return to acting. Patrick explained, “I’ve always enjoyed numbers. And on top of that, one of the biggest parts of finance is being personable and outgoing.”

He continued, “That’s one of the greatest skills I developed growing up. I really love the markets. I’m super interested. I’m never going to close the door to acting. I’m always open to that because I just love it so much. It’s such a great art.”

Take note! If there are any investment bankers or private equity folks among the GH faithful looking for a young analyst next year, Patrick’s DMs are open. You can find him on X at @PatrickJGibbons.

So, what did you think of the song sung by Trina on today’s GH that was written by Patrick J. Gibbons? Did you enjoy Patrick’s performances as One Life’s Sam and GH’s Wyatt? Would you like to see him back on GH at some point? Let us know via the comment section.
