What are you looking forward to most coming up on The Young and the Restless? Watch the latest promo from CBS below.
No preview for Jack? Really? Summer is coming back only to find her mother and her lover shacked up in her apartment. I hope she kicks them both out for as Shakespeare once wrote,”Summer’s lease hath all to short a date.”
Okay, who’s the wise guy who gave my rather innocuous comment pertaining to Jack a thumb’s down? I bet it was Victor.
I have used the ‘drum’ metaphor twice now. Hmmmm. What do you think it means, Harry?
I can assure you ’twasn’t I, Harry. Honest….on a stack of Bibles!! LOL. Seriously, It wasn’t.
I had to reply here….fakeBilly and fake Phyllis , whose stamina can withstand the vicious outpouring of Mount Kilauea. Reminds me of another couple on GH ….a while back, Harry. How many times a day can the Energizer Bunny beat that drum?
Wow….there must be something ”rudimentarily ” wrong with my husband!!
Summer will bring with her some type of drama but, not sure it will affect Phillis and Billy.
Please, please please Summer do not annoy me this time around / hopefully the writers will do much better for the character than their usual yuck.
The custody battle for Christian.
I saw that coming since day one, finally!
Legally, poor Nick hasn’t a legal prayer.
Nich has not Legally Adopted Christian and having a name on a birth certificate does not give the person parental rights.
(anyone can put a name on a birth certificate but that is not legally binding – parental rights are the law of custody, and that would now be the linked chain to grandpa Victor, not the uncle.
So- it should be a journey of dramas.
( even if Victor has a criminal record he is more than qualified to support and raise Christian.
/ Nick and Sharon have need to be very worried /
00ohh to mention.
Billy (Jason Thompson) Jason is a 100 times better in the role of Billy than he was GH’s Patrick.
Billy is his better character.
In the real world, Victor does not have a legal prayer, to use your own words, SuzieQ. In the soap world? Different story. Judges and attorneys, alike, march to the beat of the soap gods’ drum.
If Adam were alive, then yes, Nick would have a fight on his hands and lose, in Genoa City. Anywhere else, it’s a toss of the dice.
He is the only parent Christian knows. No sane judge would separate a child from its LEGAL father.
There was no need to adopt Christian, su…..as far as he knew the baby was his. And, I bet, he really is. I thought this from the onset. Victor has had a hand in this since forever.
As I said, in the real world, Victor has no leg to stand on, except on a pile of billions of dollars. If he wins? It will be by buying his way into Christian’s life.
Victor has the justice system in his back pocket. He is old….not qualified….and, Nikki would never go against her own son.
I actually askd my parents, LOL…. my dad said that perhaps NY law is different from the rest of the country? He was being sarcastic, su—-his best quality; much like Harry’s. KIDDING!!!!!! I promise, Harry. LOL.
Hi Celia 🙂
you said-
”He is the only parent Christian knows. No sane judge would separate a child from its LEGAL father.”
Yes, a judge would separate them.
Nick is Not Christians legal father, not by law.
and you said-
”There was no need to adopt Christian, su…..as far as he knew the baby was his.”
Nick, after finding out, he should have ‘attempted’ to adopt Christian and even that would involve Victor as the child’s Legal grandfather.
anyway– Christian has not been adopted by anyone and he’s up for grabs ..
Then again, the writers don’t often pay attention to legalities LOL they will go whichever way creates the drama.
Yes, su….by law, Nick IS Christians father. The only way Victor can get custody is with his money. ….or if Nick is unfit or Sharon.
Who is more unfit? Nick, Victor, Sharon or Nikki? Take your pick.
The only people with full legal pull would be Adam or Sage.
It makes no difference that Nick could have started the adoption process—
I, personally konw a certain criminal lawyer—another is a divorce/guardian ad litem attorney. She litigates such scenarios daily. NY law.
….perhaps it does vary in other states.
But, as you say, the soapworld does have its own laws, legal or otherwise.
Later, SuzieQ…
Oh, mon Dieu…..will Victor never cease?? Desist?? He has one foot in the grave. Unless he knows Adam is alive, does he ever stop to think of tomorrow? Who will Christian call Daddy? He, himself, witll be six feet under—ot in his case, in a secluded, de-embellished with gorgons, crypt
NB. When will Billy and everyone else realize that Kyle is sabotaging the ‘new’ Abbott corporate establishment?
Hmmmm….link between Mariah and Kyle? Blood-wise? Do they share the same father?…..Jack is not his dad? Quelle surprise!
Is Ian Ward a link?
Celia– This has nothing to do with Victor/Nicholas.. rather, a thought occurred to me today regarding JACK. While many have surmised that Jack’s true father will be the man who also fathered Victor, I disagree completely. Remember how Dina said her lover was dashing and handsome? And she couldn’t remember his name? If the writers had any strong of genius (and since they are rewriting history), Jack’s father would be Phillip Chancellor. Let me know what your grandmother thinks of that scenario. Jack gets the Chancellor inheritance and mansion and industries…. and Devon gets placed back where he belongs (anywhere but the billionaire’s club.)
Hi, Ron,
Here you are!!!! Great to hear from you, my friend. Did your son settle on a College, yet?
I read your comment last night……. it was too late to call my grandmother. But, I did this morning, as soon as my son left for school. LOL.
She was, actually, the one to suggest to me that Jack could be Victor’s son. I can’t remember who suggested he and Victor could ,also, be brothers. However, I did agree, that the idea had merit……a possibility.
As far as Phillip Chancelor II, Fiona ( Gran, LOL), loves your scenario. The only thing is, Dina was first seen in GC about ten years after the show premiered……the Chancelors were there from its inception. My grandmother has been watching since day one…..she had just given birth to my uncle, LOL……sharp mind!!
I could hear her mulling and thinking over the phone, Ron……long pause, HaHa.
She said that, after hearing your scenario, she may have over-thought the situation where Victor is concerned, as he did not make an appearance until the early eighties, as well.
Unless (said she), all of it took place behind the scenes….that is, the Abbotts and the Newmans had always been there; just not introduced.
It’s a soap…..anything is possible. Nonethelss, Ron, I, personally, loooove your scenario; just to get the almighty Devon ( I always felt Mac would be the heiress) descend back to earth.
And, frankly, the same could apply to Neil. He has been riding so high; not the Neil I know….anyone could screw up in life—-he is the perfect example.
So, for Neil to be so arrogantly condescending to Hilary makes me sick. Of course, I’m partial to her….l worship her…..I appreciate her mind, her little impish behavior, her style, her look and looks…….just as I used to adore Lily. What has happened to her? She’s married to a worm!!!!!!! And, Neil is her father in name only. So, where is the humility??
I think that if your scenario ( which both Gran and I find illuminating) pans out, the above will all eat crow. How ‘loveRly’ would that be? The Hamilton-Winters “Chapter” can be torn out of that fairytale book in a nano-second.
I want to add that, Gran did say that Katherine and John A used to be really close friends. How close??????……well, she had a light bulb go off in her head…..she had suggested to me that Jack could be Katherine’s and John’s, but gave him away to Dina and John to rear due to her ‘foggy’ living ( alcohol). Dina and she were also close, so…..but, that idea went down the tubes after Jack’s DNA test, proving John wasn’t his father.
I hope your scenario takes root and lives, Ron….( wonder if the writers read these comments. …. Mr. Fairman should know, LOL).
Stay well, Ron.
Uh-oh….shall I eat crow about sabotaging? I still don’t trust Kyle—-shifty and slimy.
Beyond the Gates
‘Beyond the Gates’ and ‘The Young and the Restless’ Crossover Event Preview: A Tornado, Scandal and Dangerous Liaisons
CBS has released its first promo for the upcoming crossover event between Beyond the Gates and The Young and the Restless. The four-episode multi-arc story will begin next week on Tuesday, June 9 and run through the rest of the week with a dramatic cliffhanger on Friday, June 12.
Viewers can now get their first glimpse of the storyline that will unfold. The episodes were taped earlier this year when the six participating cast members from Y&R traveled from Los Angeles to Atlanta where Beyond the Gates tapes all of its show from Assembly Studios.
In the video teaser, a tornado rips through Barrington Country and smack dab at the Fairmont Crest Country Club in the middle of the political fundraiser for Congressman Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon), putting major characters in peril.

VERNON AND VICTOR OLD FRIENDS
As the story unfolds, longtime friends and patriarchs Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) come together for this special event. Victor has backed Vernon’s political campaigns over the years, while Vernon has championed legislation which benefitted Newman Enterprises, The two titans have built a longtime alliance built on loyalty, influence, and mutual gain.
Vernon has asked Victor to serve as the keynote speaker at his grandson’s fundraiser, and seen in the promo, he greets the mighty Victor Newman at a helicopter pad to whisk him away in a limo to Fairmont Crest.
None other than Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) arrive at Fairmont Crest and run into Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) and Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman). Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is also in tow and is revealed as a longtime friend of Martin’s from their college days.
UNEXPECTED ALLIANCES
In the steamy moment from the promo, it looks like Kyle and Hayley (Marguita Goings) end up making out. Could this be the crossover romance we never know we needed? But what happens if the wrong person sees them locking lips? Then, it appears that Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) and Dani will be trapped together due to the tornado, will this be a turning point for the exes? The event is filled with a room full of reporters, who are itching for a scandal. What will they dig up before and after the rubble from the tornado?
DANGER LURKS AT FAIRMONT CREST
In addition, an uninvited guest makes their way into the fundraiser, but it’s not someone viewers might expect! Genoa City’s Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Abby Newmanv (Melissa Ordway) are also attending the political fundraiser and get into the thick of the action.
Beyond the Gates executive producer Sheila Ducksworth teased to TV Insider, on what viewers are about to see “What happens in these episodes is so compelling, and then what happens as a result of what happens in these episodes is epic. That is all I can say. It is epic.”
Ducksworth, along with series cast members: Tamara Tunie (Anita Dupree), Clifton Davis, and Sean Freeman, also talked about the upcoming episodes when they visited the Michael Fairman Channel for a livestream chat, where Clifton Davis exclaimed, “We’ve got dynamite in the can,” referencing the banked episodes that soap fans are about to see unfold.
Take a look at the Beyond the Gates and The Young and the Restless crossover event promo below.
Now let us know, what do you think of Kyle and Hayley making out? Do you think Bill and Dani will do the same? What will be the shocking ramifications when all is said and done? Weigh-in via the comment section.

GENERAL HOSPITAL Spoilers Promo: Chase and Willow Have a Close Encounter and Tracy Gets an Eyeful
General Hospital has dropped its spoilers video and weekly promo for the week of June 1-5 entitled “Crossed Lines.”
From the looks of it, Chase (Josh Swickard) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), who happen to be in swimsuits and at the Quartermaine boathouse appear to have a private moment when Willow is seen with her hand on the cop’s shoulder. However, at that exact same moment, who should walk by … Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot)!
What will Tracy do with the intel? Inform her granddaughter Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and/or grandson Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson)? Meanwhile, Michael has been determined to exploit Willow’s closeness with her ex, Chase, to gain the upper hand on her, all in an effort to, as Michael tells Jacinda (Paige Herschell) in the promo, “They’ll cross the line and when they do, we’ll blow the whole thing wide open.”

TAKING DOWN SIDWELL
In addition, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Laura (Genie Francis) recruit Lucas (Van Hansis) to help them put an end to Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) chokehold on them and Port Charles. Sonny tells Lucas, “We need your help. We’re gonna stop Sidwell.”
That may prove more difficult than it seems, when Sidwell now has the idea that it was Lucas who murdered his son, Marco. After all, Lucas is living at Wyndemere right under Sidwell’s nose, plus Pascal (Marc Forget) may be the key to Sonny’s plan.
CARLY REALIZES JOSSLYN WAS KIDNAPPED
Finally! Carly (Laura Wright) is figuring things out that her daughter Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) has been kidnapped. Carly is shown saying, “Josslyn would never leave without saying good-bye. Someone took her!”
At the same time, Josslyn is trying to free herself from the secret room at Wyndemere where Cassius (Ryan Paevey) stashed her. It looks like she may be close to breaking free when she is able to pry the door somewhat open!
